“I love sadness. It may sound weird, but I love it with whole my being. It's the most inspiring thing I know, and the foundation of all my work.”

“People have always been sad, some vise once calls it the human condition I believe. As long as there have been humans - there has been sadness. It's the biggest invention in human history, one could say. They say that a happy person is happy in the same way as any other happy person, but a sad person is sad in their own unique way. I also find it very interesting that six out of our nine main emotions are referred to as negative ones, whereas the other ones consist of one neutral, and two positive ones. I guess misery connects people, and makes them able to relate to others in a deeper way than happiness ever could.”

“The weird thing is that I'm not a sad person at all, I'm known for being abnormally happy as it happens. Always has been. What's even more weird is that the happier I am - the darker my photos get. I don't know why that is either.”“My Instagram username and working name is ‘Elegy Photography’. An elegy, in broad terms, is a work of literature or music written to mourn a loss or express lamentation. My first goal actually was to create visuals to perfectly fit the sound of my partner's band - Gravkväde - which always has been a huge inspiration to me when it comes to genuine despair and sorrow. I can't recommend them enough to those who truly love deep emotions of suffering.”
