Granite: I know you didn’t see the other backdrop, but trust me- you’re getting the best one.

Rosewood: And why would that be, Granite?

Granite: Uhh, let’s just say- I’ve seen more of Fret in the last two days than I care to remember.

Rosewood: Ah yes, images the eye cannot unsee, I dare not to imagine. 

Fret: Is it just me, or are these two almost too gross for TV?

*producers mumbling*

Fret: What do you mean I can't say that? You mean, this is the type of thing people actually WANT to see? Well, count me out. 

[hula-zombie]

Granite: Wow, Rosewood- that’s truly beautiful. 

Rosewood: Thank you, Granite. A lady always appreciates a compliment from a handsome beau such as yourself.

Granite: You’ll make me blush.

Rosewood: In this lighting? You’d never tell. 

Fret: Okay, okay. Yes, I’m back. BUT, would you look at Rosewood? I’m pretty sure she’s flirting back with him- I mean, I’d be blushing. 

[hula-zombie]

Rosewood: Granite, this truly is lovely. I can’t say I’ve ever had the pleasure of being on a date quite like this before.

Granite: I’m happy to oblige, my lady.

Rosewood: And these strawberries are absolutely divine! The only thing that could have made this better is if there was champagne sorbet.

Granite: *winking* Good to know, good to know.

*Rosewood giggling*

Granite: I was thinking, since it’s just you and me- would you mind if I painted you?

Rosewood: Granite, you flatter me by thinking me your muse.

Granite: We’ll see how I do.. I hope I don’t let you down.

Rosewood: And why would that be? You’re very talented, Granite. You should have more confidence in yourself- that’s what I find most attractive in a partner.

Granite: Then, take a seat and lets get this started!

Fret: You got pretty good technique there, Eirlys. Gotta say, I’m impressed.

Eirlys: I mean, I would be impressed too. I’m awesome.

Taluna: I’m honestly trying to not look super close-

Granite: You can say that again. I think I’ve seen more of Fret today than anyone should.

Fret: Ya’ll just jelly. 

[hula-zombie]

Granite: May I hold your hands?

Rosewood: You may-

Granite: Rosewood, I’ve... never met anyone like you before, and I think I could be-

Rosewood: Wait, are those- are those cameras rolling?

*production crew nodding*

Rosewood: I... I can’t do this right now, Granite. I’m not feeling well, I-I-I have to leave. 

Granite: Rosewood-

Fret: And that’s strike three. Good job, Granite. BOY, PUMP THE BREAKS. I’m Fret Pitchells, and even I KNOW that.

Rosewood: Oh my, isn’t this quite lovely? Did you do this on your own, Granite?

Granite: Trust me, Fret didn’t help- at all. If anything, he just got in the way. This was all me... me for you. It’s just us two tonight. 

Rosewood: Splendid. 

[hula-zombie]

Granite: Maybe there are something that I could.. I could teach you?

Eirlys: Like what?

Granite: You know... things. 

Eirlys: Uhm, no- you have to do better than that if you wanna flirt with me, Granite. 

Fret: OUCH, hope that doesn’t land Eirlys in the bottom! Somethin’ to be said about a girl who knows what she wants though. More power to her!

Granite: Looks like you got the profile down-

Solitaire: I do some painting on the side. Graffiti is more my style, but I can handle a paintbrush.

Granite: And a... guitar?

Solitaire: A little, I’m more of a piano man myself. 

[hula-zombie]

Granite: Don’t take this the wrong way, but you’re one of the most proper berries I’ve ever met.

Rosewood: I take that as a compliment. My parents were from a different time. Perhaps I could modernize my beliefs- 

Granite: But then you wouldn’t be you.

Rosewood: That is true, Granite. However, I’m not stiff as a board. I know how to... let my hair down, have fun as they say.

Fret: Like we believe that, but you can’t lie... these two click. Let’s hope he can speed things along. Their date ain’t gonna last forever. 

[hula-zombie]

Granite: They’re all great-

Fret: But....

Granite: But we still have another group to paint.

Fret: And don’t forget about your solo date with Rosewood! We’re puttin’ out the nice paints for ya’ll.

Granite: Are you gonna be like... changing outfits before-

Fret: Nope, but I may be losing something. If you catch my drift.

*producers mumbling*

Fret: Turns out that’s a negative, but I got a different pose. You’ll just have to wait and see!

Granite: I’ve never really been good with music-

Solitaire: We could play together later. There’s somethin’ about those ivories gliding against your fingers, the hammer hittin’ those strings.

Granite: Sounds intense.

Solitaire: Nah, only if you don’t know what you’re doin’, and trust me... I do.

Fret: Solitaire tryin’ to come back strong! But, will Granite wanna give this piano man some air time? Keep watchin’, folks! 

[hula-zombie]

Fret: Let’s see how this one goes over.. something tells me, YUP- this ain’t gonna end well either!

Granite: Not too bad there, Taluna. I can see what you were going for- a little artsy, a little-

Taluna: *laughing* It’s Fret. I did the best I could. 

Granite: It’s a shame I couldn’t paint you.

Taluna: You paint?

Granite: A little, here and there. Maybe you could be the model-

Taluna: Granite, I like you but I think we should take things.. slow? This is all new to me.

Fret: And that’s two! When is this boy gonna learn how to be smooth? Hopefully next week. Cause this is PAINFUL. 

[hula-zombie]

Granite: I could... see if Fret could find us some champagne sorbet? 

Rosewood: That fool. He’d want to join us, no doubt. Could you imagine, Fret... on a date? I’d dare we’d be bedded before elimination!

Granite: Rosewood, I... *laughing*

Rosewood: I did say before- I’m no prude, Granite. However, Fret is not my type. I’m perfectly content being here with you.

Fret: Trust me, it ain’t like I’d want to be on THAT date. And so far, nobody has gotten any from anyone. I’m a committed berry, people.

Granite: I think you uh-

Eirlys: You can say it. I know I got his good side.

Fret: Damn straight you did!

Granite: You’re a very talented painter, Eirlys. 

Eirlys: My dad was a carpenter, so I like to think I got my creativity from him.

Granite: So what did you think of this challenge, Castle?

Castle: Can I be honest with ya?

Granite: I value honesty- so let me have it. 

Castle: Can’t say when I left the sea I thought I’d be testin’ out my skills as a painter, but it’s good to show your creative side. I just wish I could have had more time with you, ya know?

Granite: That would be nice. I always enjoy our time together. I...  am really starting to like you, Castle.

Fret: Well looky here! Looks like we got another connection happening right in front of us. Will Castle win some big bucks on his painting and score some extra time with Granite tonight? You’ll have to wait and see!
