“Baby I” - Paige Bueckers♡
summary : jealous Paige Bueckers x reader !
wc ; 897
synopsis : inspired by the song “baby i” by Ariana Grande :) Paige’s jealousy often gets in the way of your relationship, so what happens when you interact with a particularly attractive stranger?
warning : angst , suggestive content , jealousy / possessiveness
my master list ㇀♡
a/n : look at me having a posting streak !! decided to try something new today, so I hope yall enjoy ◡̈
You and Paige had been dating for not too long, but your relationship had certainly developed into one where strong feelings and emotions played a huge factor in your everyday lives.
It was no secret to you that Paige was jealous, envious even; it caused you a fair share of problems throughout your relationship. Whether it was through jealous ridden comments, or snarky remarks, it was slowly starting to take a toll on you.
You and Paige were invited to go bar hopping with the team, as a celebration of the victorious win for Uconn. The free spirited and ambient environment encouraged you to let loose, encouraging you to not only grab a drink from the bar, but to strike up a couple of conversations with individuals around you.
It’s not that Paige didn’t want you to talk to other people, it’s just that when it comes to you; she’s very, how do I word this.. Overbearing? Whether it was constantly having her hands glued to your waist, peppering your face with kisses, or shooting bitter looks and whoever even dares to be just a little too friendly.
On this particular night, a very attractive character to say the least, approached you; beginning to start a simple conversation. Asking things like your name, complimenting your outfit, and overall trying to learn more about you
From across the room, you can see the blonde staring intensely at you, giving you a disapproving look; signaling you to end the conversation. You furrowed your brows and gave her a confused look back, not understanding how the conversation was moving south in any way.
You quickly turned back around, further continuing your conversation with the stranger, when all of a sudden you feel a harsh tug on your wrist. “It was nice meeting you, but we have to go.” And just like that, there you were, being dragged out of the bar by your girlfriend. Who seemed incredibly pissed.
The drive back home was unbearable, no words were exchanged between you two. The blonde never acknowledging you on your journey back home, knuckles white due to her intense grip on the steering wheel. You couldn’t tell if she was upset, disappointed, horny, or a mix of all 3.
As soon as you reached your apartment, your nerves were eating you alive. You had no idea what was waiting for you once you reached your apartment door.
You quickly hurried inside, and situated yourself on your shared couch. Waiting for her to say something. You felt your heart pounding, unable to even form coherent words. When you realized the endless silence, you simply muttered out a “I’m..sorry?.” Paige rolled her eyes at you, scoffing in the process. “YOU’RE sorry? They were practically throwing themselves at you and all you did was stand there and let them.” You were shocked, you knew Paige could take things the wrong way, but you never imagined her of all people would think you would be the type to do that.
“Paige…” you started. “You know I love you more than anything, but you know words can’t even touch what’s in my heart,” you continued. Your eyes now spilling out tears you tried your hardest to keep in.
“Then why don’t you ever tell me?”... “I feel like I’m constantly competing with others for your attention” This statement startled you, as you knew Paige was well aware of your difficulty to express yourself, let alone reassure others. Fuck. Oh how badly you wished the floor underneath you would simply collapse, giving you any sort of escape from the high tensioned conversation.
You felt as if you were to speak, your throat would simply close up. You managed to croak out.. “It’s just when I try to explain it, I be sounding insane. Sometimes it feels like the words don’t ever come out right.” She looks at you, her gaze softening a bit; as a reaction to your sudden vulnerability.
“It’s just I don’t know…the words just never come out right when it comes to you. You make me get all tongue tied and twisted, and I literally cannot explain what I’m feeling.” “Baby-” “No.” - you cut her off. Quickly feeling a rush of adrenaline run through you. “Yes, I should’ve been more clear and work on my communication, but you need to realize that not everyone is trying to sabotage our relationship. It’s exhausting. I can’t keep isolating myself due to your jealous fits of rage.”
Paige looks at you, tears welling in her eyes, threatening to spill out if she even mumbles out a word. She muttered a quiet “im sorry…”, her voice cracking at the last word, her eyes glued to the floor as she anticipated your response.
As if she were a magnet, you run towards her and wrap your arms around her tall frame, gently rubbing circles into your back as sobs slowly escape her lips. This entire thing had been a complete misunderstanding, and her jealousy blinded her judgment. Through her weeps you were able to make out “i love you. All i was trying to say is that youre my everything and-”
She wasnt even able to finish her sentence as she felt your warm lips on hers, entangling her in a deep and loving kiss. “If that doesnt show you that i love you, i dont know what will”
not sure how to feel about this tbh, originally i was gonna give this a sad ending but since the song is a love song, it didn’t feel fitting. Lmk ur thoughts !! Thanks for reading ◡̈

Hey Avenger, just wanted to say thanks again. You're the best, I knew we made the right choice supporting you back then. Anyway, we would love to take you with us, but if you don't want to, that's fine. Take one more kiss as a farewell gift?
"Yeah, yeah. I'll miss you idiots too. Take care, watch your backs, and stay safe. I don't want to see your butts again until you've won. And... don't worry about the Admin. Sure, I'll probably get punished horribly for it but, well... you know my whole deal. Pain and torture is nothin' new. Now--"
He surged with magical energy, holding his hands out.
"Let silver and steel be the essence. Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation Let the blackened Grail be the artifact I pay tribute to. Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall Let the four cardinal gates close. Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Kingdom rotate."
"I hereby declare; Their will creates your body, and your sword creates their destiny. Submit to the beckoning of the Cursed Grail If you will submit to this will and this reason…Then answer my call!"
"From the Seventh Heaven, attended to by three greet words of power, Come forth from the ring of restraints, protector of the Holy Balance!"
The Command Seals burned. They were new. Different.
Different Command Spells. Different bonds. Different experiences. A different chapter in this journey.
A new chapter.
Though there wasn't much time to ruminate on them and that before--
Thunder clapped, ripping the clouds in the sky asunder, as a hole was ripped in the heavens.
In less poetic terms...
The sky exploded as you were shoved back into the war.
Clearly, subtlety wasn't... entirely on the table.
A figure hurtled from above like a shooting star. It plummeted downwards through the sunset sky, arms flailing at first before they settled, adjusting the trajectory and quickly making calculations as they steered away from the city, landing in the plains- far from civilization.
The crash was obscenely loud, disturbing the rest of any living creature within several miles.
A smaller crash to the one that killed the dinosaurs, luckily.
And one survivable by the Servant, as they crawled out of the crater, the movements alien and spider-like at first before twitching and adjusting to more careful, humanoid posture.
Data integration.
Atmosphere. Strata. Temperature. Air speed. Oxygen levels. They all reading as normal, no obvious flaws or variations, perfect consistency. Too perfect for the natural world. A simulacrum. Digital. Virtual. Theoretical, yet reality.
More data being carefully taken in, as jade eyes darted back and forth, pinpricks of light emitting from the heavy dust cloud. The mind of an invader. A foreign presence. Intense, predatory, merciless, as the light reflected back and was transmitted into more useful data. The running of the water, the crests of the hills, a presence.
Magical energy. A tether. Cross referencing data, 'Ghost Liner'. Servant. A Servant, which meant--
Contact. Quickly cross-referencing data. Key words. 'Wizards'. 'Magi'. 'Masters'.
Contact. Language. Communication. Physical communication. No way to touch with the physical, so one needed to use their voice and their eyes. Vocal communication. Visual communication. Proclamations of peace. Friendliness. Openness.
Contact.
Colloquialisms, 'first impressions'. If this was a simulacrum of Earth, then such things would be logical. The importance of one's first words.
True Name, KUKULKAN. Related items; QUETZALCOATL, Q'UQ'UMATZ, ITZANMA.
The clothes changed, as quick as the dust settled. The Servant, giving a loose, wild wave and a toothy, cheerful grin, spoke.
"Hello, world!"

What is your overall opinion on the White Lotus and their involvement in the war?
It felt weird that Iroh was the Grand Lotus when he wasn’t opposed to helping Zuko bring down the Avatar for the whole first season. He actively helps Zuko attack Aang and the group. Even if he was a member, it’s weird that he’s their leader, you know?
I know a lot of people feel like the White Lotus didn’t do enough to help end the war. In reality, I don’t think that’s necessarily true. We don’t see what they’re doing behind the scenes. The Earth Kingdom is a big place. For all we know, they were actively doing their parts in ways we just didn’t see because we were following the Gaang.
Iroh’s deep connection is the only thing that feels odd. If anything, the best I can surmise is that he once was a member but hadn’t been involved for a long time. The question is when? Clearly not before the siege at Ba Sing Se where he starved civilians and laughed about burning their homes to the ground, and not while he was the presumed heir to the throne.
Perhaps after Lu Ten’s death, when Iroh supposedly explored the spirit world and studied other cultures? Maybe all that was part of his involvement with The White Lotus?
If so, why did he go back home just to be depressed and too disempowered to even protect his nephew? Perhaps he became discouraged when his journey didn’t bring him to Lu Ten’s spirit and he gave up and returned home?
In general, I think The White Lotus are fascinating, and it’s a shame that LOK took so much of the mystery out of them.
I can’t help but notice that there were no female masters. Seems like something of a “boy’s club”. Even then though, I wonder if there could be female-based matriarchal off-shoots. The IRL historical White Lotus Society sure had their fair share!
Maybe Yagoda, the Herbalist, Ming, and Aunt Wu are all members.

my gift to the lovely @hartsvale of their oc Aurelia & Rolan (rolan lovers unite <3) for the gift exchange i and @carlosoliveiraa hosted!
i hope you like this mo and i hope i did her justice!!! i got to learn so much about her and i adore her lots! just something soft idk
--------
The morning dawn rises in a warm, orange glow, dripping from the sky as if wet paint on a canvas, covering the landscape in its various hues. Birds sing sweetly in a melody, flitting and fluttering through the cool air. Nature stirs from its slumber, creatures and critters alike awaking with the sun to begin a new day.
The same was for Aurelia Dawnwright, bright eyed and refreshed as she takes a deep breath of the crisp air.
A single pluck of the string on a lute thrums through the trees and a smile pulls the bard's red lips. Delicate fingers slow to play the cords, finding the perfect tune, but it comes naturally in a heartbeat. A gentle and almost mesmerizing chorus of sounds echo around the dimmed woods, rays of the morning light cascading through the leaves. The stillness of the world seems to come to life as the music plays- the birds singing along and the wind whistling through the branches.
A crack of twigs and crunch of dried leaves interrupts the melody as Aurelia’s hand stills and she turns to the pale elf approaching her. He held an expression of annoyance and exhaustion, crossing his arms over his chest and watching her with heavy eyelids. “Don’t you have somewhere to be?”
“Good morning to you too, Astarion.” She hums and lightly plucks a few strings. “It’s still too early. Patience.” She preached the word but she herself was anything but patient. The itch to reach Ramazith Tower crawled on her skin and playing her lute kept her distracted for the time.
Astarion lets out a short laugh and a sly smirk. He’s trying to deceive her. “I’m sure he’s already awake and waiting for you. The master of the tower should be up early to do his tasks, don’t you think?” He examines his nails as if even talking about this was boring for him.
It wasn’t that she didn’t believe him, debating his words in her head and strumming a single string repeatedly in a slow rhythm. Rolan could be waiting for her to arrive and entertain him now, sitting alone with nothing to do. “Maybe you’re right. Thank you, Astarion.”
The spawn waves his hand as if shooing her away, nodding tiredly. “Yes, yes. Stay out as long as you like.”
Aurelia narrows her eyes, shooting him a warning. He was pushing it. However, she stands and grabs her lute, chewing on her lower lip as she leaves the camp and sets off to her destination. She sings to herself on the journey, excitement among the many emotions she’s experiencing when thinking about the tiefling.
Ramazith Tower came into view, the height of it disappearing into the dreary morning clouds as if ascending up into the heavens. The dark structure is decorated with various flora and colors to liven up the area. Holes in the building in need of repair were a good entrance if she's ever seen one and so she slips through the rubble, grinning at the sight of the tower.
She climbs the tower, glancing at the spines of books collecting dust and stepping over toppled stacks. As she climbs over the railing of the main room, it's empty without the presence of the wizard. Silence hangs heavy over the room aside from the wind outside the open balconies. Aurelia explores the floor, once again marveling at the length of the tower, the details of the interior- bronze metal framing and deep red fabric, but the most fascinating aspect is the strong pull of magic residing in its entirety.
Despite it's grand design, with the comfort of it's new master, the tower had a homely feel, safe and inviting. She steps up to the absurd chair made from stacks of books, walking around it, her fingers running over the spines of books lining the shelves of the wall, stopping on a worn hard bound cover, a faded blue with silver lettering.
Just another book on the history of magic, but to pass the time, she'd settle for scanning the words with absent interest than continuing her search for the owner. He would find her, as he always does. She settles into the chair and flips it open, but her attention kept wandering from the text to the décor around her.
"Aurelia?"
Rolan descend the tower, and stands at the railing of the floor above. He makes his way down the ladder and over to her and as he moves closer, she notices his hair is loosely tied up, disheveled and a few locks and strands had fallen out of the hold of the rubber band.
A brighter and wider smile forms as she sets the book aside, holding a hand out to him. “Rolan. Good morning.”
He smiles warmly, a hint of sleep near his eyes and strewn in his features. Rolan hovers a hand over his mouth as a yawn escapes him, but his other hand slips over hers, palms together and fingers entwining. "I wasn't expecting you so early."
She pouts at his words, but he only chuckles and sits on the multiple stacks of books beside the chair, kissing the back of her hand, his lips soft and warm against her skin. Mentally cursing her companion for convincing her to leave the camp at the break of dawn, the thoughts quickly pass with the affection he was giving and she reaches out for him.
"I just couldn't wait to see you." Her other hand caresses his cheek and she slips a few loose strands behind his ear.
Rolan leans into her touch, curiosity in his eyes. "Is that why you broke into my tower?"
Aurelia bites her lip to stifle her grin. Of course he was joking - his siblings had already asked her to live with them. She was welcome any time, breaking in or not. "You should really get those walls fixed."
With the turn of her hand, he began to gently kiss the inside of her wrist and up her forearm before moving to his knees between her thighs, arms wrapping around her waist, resting his head against her chest. Sleep was still present in his features and her heart tugs that she had woken him.
"And what would you like to do for the rest of the day?" Rolan hums, long fingers moving up her spine.
There were a few things she could think of, pressed firmly against the heat of the tieflings body. Pulling the band and unraveling the bun of hair, she brushes her fingers through the locks and kisses the top of his head. "Well, we could go with the original plan; get dressed and have a date in the city." His arms tighten around her and she laughs breathlessly. "Or, we could stay inside and... enjoy each other's company."
"Music to my ears." He laughs, pulling his head back and kissing her lips quickly.

It's Fictional Throwdown Friday!
This Week's Fighters...
Renee vs The Chosen Undead!
Conditions:
No restrictions. Both sides have absolutely everything.
Scenario:
The Chosen Undead hears of a legendary warrior who can regenerate from nothing but their soul and travels to Engardin to usenit as kindling for the First Flame. Renee refuses to let her soul be used in another cycle of blood and conflict.
Analysis: The Chosen Undead
The world is ending. Not with a bang or a crunch, but with a shuddering, prolonged whimper. The heroes of the land have all either died or gone mad, and the inspirational legends behind them are all nothing but ancient history. Humanity would want nothing more than to roll over and die. Pity that that is the last thing they could do.
Humanity has been cursed with fragments of the all powerful Dark Soul, ensuring that all humans are naturally undead. This meant that they would eventually live long enough to eventually go Hollow, dying a slow and painful death in the throughs of madness as their humanity left them. Exploiting this fact, the Gods used this curse as propaganda to trick humans into sacrificing their fragments of the Dark Soul to fuel the First Flame, the Sun the lights the world and whose creation and existence fuels that concept of time itself. For the Gods feared the power of the Dark Soul and wanted to keep their reign in the Age of Light going for as long as possible.
One of the humans who bore the Dark Soul was the one who would become the Chosen Undead. Shipped up to an aslyum in the North to be contained when they went Hollow, the Chosen Undead was rescued by a giant raven and informed of their destiny. Dropped into the land of Lordran, the Chosen Undead would have to fight their way through the mad gods, fallen heroes, and treacherous monsters to save the world from the Age of Dark.
...Well, I say "save". More like "torturously prolong". It is Dark Souls, after all. There is no true happy endint to your grand quest, whether you ignite the flame to keep the cycle going or let it die to condemn humanity to darkness, Hollowness, and dispair. So what's the point, you may ask? To die. Over and over again, until you succeed. It is the struggle that makes the Undead's journey worth it.
And luckily, The Chosen Undead would find countless weapons and spells to aide them in their journey. The most prominent of which is the Dark Soul itself. By using bits of it as kindling at bonfires, The Chosen Undead can resurrect from the dead, over and over again to retry whatever fight is killing them. Though this process deprives them of all the souls that they've collected and slowly drives them closer to Hollowness, the humans of Dark Souls don't need souls to survive and The Chosen Undead can, to an extent, resist the effects of going Hollow through sheer determination. As long as they don't rage quit, the Chosen Undead can return as many times as they want and eventually win.
And with pockets as deep as theirs, one of their weaons is bound to give them a winning strategy once they learn all your tricks. The Greatsword of Artorius, whose cursed varients can kill ghosts, Gough's Greatbow, a massive bow with pillar sized arrows that csn shoot down dragons, and the Dark Hand, a mark that can warp space itself to create a shield and absorb people's souls, just to name a few.
And they're also a master of sorcery and magic. With spells such as the Homing Soulmass to directly target and home in on a foe's soul, to the Hidden Caster spell to turn themselves invisible. Or, they can just say "fuck magic" and use the Vow of Silence to keep people from casting spells entirely. Helpful for managing their limited magic supply. They can even use their magic to summon heroes from other realms to aide them in combat. Or they can go to other people's realms and invade their lands to steal their things. Try it and I'll shove a great sword up your ass before you finish praising the sun, Dave. And that's on top of being able to reflect damage, control minds, shoot fire balls, and throw sunlight at people. Sunlight that they are fast enough to dodge when being invaded by other Players, mind you.
And all that arsenal isn't being thrown around by a witless dolt either. They've managed to kill Seath the Scaleless, the immortal dragon who invented sorcery in the first place, before carving his ass into the beautiful Moonlight Greatsword. They've killed Nito, the God of Death, The Bed of Chaos, the mother of all demon kind, and Artorius, the greatest knight in history.
But, for all their unrelenting stubbornness, The Chosen Undead does have limits. They are just another cog in the endless cycle of the Ages of Light and Dark. The First Flame created the very concepts of Light and Dark. Energy and Time. Like a mythological big bang. The power that the Chosen Undead would need to power it is immense.... but not limitless. The First Flame will wain again in another thousand years and the cycle will begin anew. And while the Chosen Undead can resist the corruption of Hollowing, even they can eventually succumb. Depends on if you decide to rage quit.
And doesn't that just sum up the entire Dark Souls mythos? And endless cycle of death and suffering, until everything gives up.
Analysis: Renee
Long ago, a powerful being grew bored with her eternal isolation and decided to create the world of Engardin. This being, known as God to her worshippers and Luca to her friends, created all the species of the world. She created the Sea of Souls to house the dead, the Goliaths to protect the ecosystem, the Phoenix to pull the sun into the sky every morning, and the humans to enjoy the world she'd created.
And then, for reasons unknown, God left the world she'd created. And everything immediately went to hell.
Many of the species of Engardin died off without God's power to sustain them. The Humans and the Goliaths went to war, nearly driving each other to extinction amd decimating the world in their brutality. The Goliaths severed the link between the Sea of Souls and Engardin to keep humans from reincarnating, causing the dead to rise as bloodthirsty zombies and ghosts.
Fearing the concept of a permanent death, the human leader, Eseus, begain creating human experiments so as to find a way to subvert mortality. The resulting successes, named the "Essentials", seemed to be what she was looking for, as they had the ability to cheat death by regenerating from nothing but their soul. However, the Essentials rebelled against their creator's mistreatment and escaped to live their own life.
One of the escapees was fatally injured during the escape, losing her memories. Seeking to atone for his race's genocidal atrocities, Ifree, the current Goliath of Pyro or leader of the Goliath people, fused his soul to the girl's to stabilize it, allowing her to survive until she was taken in by a small human village. The village named her Renee and raised her as an ordinary girl.
Renee grew up in the peace that came after the war, with both races trying to put the brutality behind them and survive in the world they'd created. Engardin was seeing an era of tentative hope as everyone adapted to the new normal and Renee was able to live a happy life. Until her village was slaughtered by a strange monster and her mentor was kidnapped by a mysterious figure. "Dying" and "reviving" as a result of her Essential powers, Renee survived the bloodshed and avenged her people, before setting off on a quest to rescue her mentor and discover her past.
In her travels, Renee would become the greatest hero Engardin had ever seen. She would become a master of every weapon imaginable, swords, bows, whips, and scythes among them, and a master of magic second to none. She possed the ability to go intangible, her weapons can hurt and kill ghosts, she's fast enough to dodge light, agile enough to stick to walls, and her numerous magical weapons grant unique boons that allow her to switch her combat style on a dime. Bloodbath feeds on her blood and the blood of her enemies to boost her strength, Sword of the Hermit boosts her strength so long as she believes she can wield it, and the Muramasa can devour souls, at the cost of feeding on the wielders own. Yet, her most powerful weapon is arguably the Nameless sword. The sword that her dear companion Ifree himself used to split the universe between Engardin and the Sea of Souls, cutting humanity off from the afterlife.
Renee has survived visiting the Sea of Souls, despite the experience driving other humans completely mad, and can even regenerate damage done directly to her soul. There is, however, a cost to that. As an Essential, Renee can regrow her body from her soul as often as she likes, but damage done to her soul can slow down the process and outright destruction or absorption of her soul can permanently kill her. Once she discovered this, Renee cast six spells to create a barrier around her soul, preventing the villainous Essential Red Renee from absorbing her soul.
Ultimately, Renee would go on to put her dark past behind her, defeating both Eseus and the new Goliath of Pyro to stop their genocidal plans against the other's race and stop their attempts to restart the war. With the Afterimage of the war finally put to rest and her mentor saved, Renee was free to live her life as she saw fit. After decades of brutality and hardship following the disappearance of God, Engardin would finally know peace and begin to move on...

Welp, time to once again ask the age old question: "Which of these characters can kill each other?"
The ability of both to absorb souls is completely irrelevant here. That wouldn't kill the Chosen Undead and Renee's barriers protect her soul from that very kind of attack. Both are about as fast as each other due to both being able to dodge light, both would be constantly switching up their combat styles as they keep dying, and both should be similarly have similarly versatile arsenals. They should even both be comparatively skilled, as they've both taken down the most skilled fighters within their universe. Even the Chosen Undead's ability to control minds is moot, due to Renee's resistance against the mind altering effects of the Sea of Souls.
There is one major advantage, however, that ultimately makes this Renee's game: Power.
The Sea of Souls and the ocean surrounding Engardin have both been stated several times to be literally endless by numerous knowledgeable characters. And Renee is swinging around the sword that split the two apart in the first place. Hell, in the bad ending, Renee is powerful enough to kill Ifree, who himself could light up the entire ocean with a single spell. The ocean is, again, described as literally being infinite in size. Meanwhile, we know full well the First Flame cannot be infinite because... well, then it wouldn't go out in the first place.
Thematically and dynamically.... this is just Frisk vs Chosen Undead again. The Chosen Undead is fighting against someone who can come back as many times as they want just like they can, but the issue is Chosen Undead will eventually go hollow due to not being able to match the infinite power disparity. The victor is from a more optimistic series and their victory in this fight ultimately ties into their series's themes about moving on from great tragedy.
That... was not intentional in the slightest when I made this matchup, that's just where I ended up. In fact, I was fully expecting CU to win this. Apparently the Chosen Undead's real weakness is optimism. If they got therapy, they'd be unstoppable.
This Throwdown's Winner is...
Renee!

Hindu Wedding Photographer: Capturing the Sacred Moments with Artistic Precision
Introduction
Hindu weddings are a grand celebration of love, culture, and tradition. For couples embarking on this beautiful journey, selecting the right Hindu wedding photographer is crucial. A photographer must not only possess technical skills but also have an understanding of the intricate customs, rituals, and vibrant energy that define Hindu weddings.
Understanding the Significance of a Hindu Wedding
Hindu weddings are a reflection of centuries-old traditions, spirituality, and the merging of two families. These weddings typically span multiple days, featuring a range of ceremonies, each symbolizing different aspects of life and marriage. Some key rituals include the Haldi (purification ceremony), Sangeet (pre-wedding celebration with music and dance), Mehndi (application of intricate henna designs), and the main wedding ceremony, which is centered around sacred rituals performed before a holy fire.
Given the grandeur and significance of Hindu weddings, every moment holds a deep meaning, and it is the responsibility of the photographer to capture these moments with sensitivity, precision, and creativity. Whether it's the bride's emotional farewell (bidaai) or the exchange of vows (saptapadi), the presence of a professional Hindu wedding photographer can turn these memories into timeless treasures.
Key Elements of Hindu Wedding Photography
A skilled Hindu wedding photographer should be well-versed in the following aspects:
Cultural Sensitivity and Knowledge of Rituals
Hindu weddings are often multi-day events, requiring a deep understanding of various rituals and their significance. An experienced photographer should be familiar with key ceremonies, such as the Kanyadaan (giving away of the bride), Mangalsutra Dharanam (tying of the sacred thread), and Sindoor (application of vermillion). This cultural sensitivity allows the photographer to anticipate important moments and be in the right place at the right time.
Storytelling Through Photography
A Hindu wedding is not just a series of rituals but a story of two souls coming together in love and unity. The photographer must have the ability to narrate this story through their lens. From candid shots during the Sangeet to the emotional moments of the bidaai, the photographs should reflect the couple's journey, emotions, and the uniqueness of their celebration.
Capturing Vibrant Colors and Intricate Details
Hindu weddings are known for their explosion of colors – from the rich reds and golds of the bridal attire to the stunning floral decorations. A Hindu wedding photographer should have an eye for capturing these vibrant hues, as well as the intricate details of the bride's jewelry, the groom's attire, and the elaborate mandap (wedding altar). Mastering lighting and composition is essential to bring out the true beauty of these elements.
Pre-Wedding and Post-Wedding Shoots
In addition to covering the wedding ceremonies, many couples opt for pre-wedding and post-wedding shoots. These shoots allow for more creative and personalized photographs, often set in scenic outdoor locations or places of personal significance. A talented photographer will use these sessions to create a visual narrative that complements the wedding story.
Candid vs. Posed Photography
While some moments in a Hindu wedding are best captured candidly – such as the bride's laughter with her bridesmaids or the groom's excitement during the baraat – others, like family portraits or couple shots, may require a more posed and composed approach. A good photographer knows how to strike a balance between the two styles, ensuring the couple receives a blend of artistic and emotionally resonant images.
Handling Multiple Events with Ease
Hindu weddings typically consist of several functions spread over multiple days. This can range from intimate family gatherings to large-scale celebrations. The photographer must manage the logistics of moving between different venues and capturing all the key moments without missing a beat.
Why Choose a Specialist Hindu Wedding Photographer?
While any wedding photographer can cover a wedding, choosing a specialist Hindu wedding photographer ensures that the person behind the camera understands the nuances of your cultural traditions. Here are some reasons to choose a photographer with expertise in Hindu weddings:
Experience with Complex Rituals
Hindu wedding rituals can be intricate and complex, often involving detailed ceremonies. A photographer with experience in Hindu weddings knows which moments are most significant and how to capture them in the best light. Whether it’s the priest reciting sacred mantras or the exchange of garlands (jaimala), every important moment will be immortalized.
Seamless Collaboration with Wedding Planners
Professional Hindu wedding photographers often work closely with wedding planners and coordinators. This ensures that the photography flows smoothly with the event timeline. An experienced photographer will know when to step in for key shots and when to be unobtrusive, allowing the ceremonies to proceed without interruption.
Cultural Sensitivity
Every Hindu wedding is unique, with traditions that may vary based on region, community, or family customs. A photographer familiar with Hindu weddings understands this diversity and will approach each wedding with the cultural sensitivity and respect it deserves.
Creative Use of Traditional Elements
Hindu weddings are filled with vibrant details – from the elaborate mandap to the intricate mehndi designs on the bride's hands. A specialist photographer will use these traditional elements creatively, incorporating them into the photographs in a way that adds depth and beauty to the images.
How to Choose the Right Hindu Wedding Photographer
Finding the right photographer for your Hindu wedding requires careful consideration. Here are some key factors to keep in mind:
Portfolio Review
Start by reviewing the photographer’s portfolio to ensure their style aligns with your vision. Look for examples of Hindu weddings they’ve covered, paying attention to their ability to capture key moments, use of lighting, and overall creativity.
Experience
Ask the photographer about their experience with Hindu weddings. Do they understand the key rituals? Can they handle the complexity of multi-day events? An experienced photographer will be able to answer these questions with confidence.
Personal Connection
It’s important to feel comfortable with your photographer, as they will be capturing some of the most intimate moments of your life. Schedule a meeting or phone call to discuss your expectations and ensure there is a good rapport between you and the photographer.
Packages and Pricing
Discuss the available packages and pricing options. Some photographers offer complete coverage of the wedding and pre-wedding events, while others may provide additional services like albums, prints, or video coverage. Make sure to clarify what is included in the package and ask about any extra costs.
References and Testimonials
Ask for references or read testimonials from previous clients. This will give you a better idea of the photographer’s professionalism, reliability, and ability to deliver high-quality results.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the average cost of hiring a Hindu wedding photographer?
The cost of hiring a Hindu wedding photographer can vary depending on factors like experience, location, and the scope of the event. On average, prices can range from £1,500 to £5,000 or more for complete coverage, including pre-wedding shoots, multi-day ceremonies, and post-wedding photography.
How far in advance should I book my Hindu wedding photographer?
It is recommended to book your wedding photographer at least 9 to 12 months in advance, especially if you are planning a large wedding during peak season. Popular photographers often get booked quickly, so securing your photographer early ensures availability on your chosen dates.
What should I look for in a Hindu wedding photographer’s portfolio?
When reviewing a photographer’s portfolio, look for their ability to capture key moments, such as the exchange of vows, emotional expressions, and intricate details of the ceremony. Pay attention to their use of lighting, color, and composition, and check whether they have experience with multi-day events and different Hindu wedding rituals.
Do I need to hire a separate photographer for the pre-wedding events?
Many couples choose to hire the same photographer for both the main wedding and pre-wedding events like the Haldi, Sangeet, and Mehndi. This ensures consistency in style and allows the photographer to build a rapport with the couple and their families. Some photographers offer comprehensive packages that cover all the events.
Can I request specific shots or poses during the wedding?
Absolutely! A good photographer will welcome your input and accommodate any specific shots or poses you would like. Whether it’s a family portrait, a romantic couple’s shot, or a special moment you want to highlight, communicate your preferences with your photographer in advance to ensure they capture your vision.
Conclusion
Choosing a Hindu wedding photographer is an essential part of planning your big day. A skilled photographer will not only capture the sacred moments of your wedding but also create a visual story that reflects the love, joy, and cultural richness of your celebration. By selecting a photographer who understands the significance of Hindu wedding rituals and has experience working with diverse cultural traditions, you can ensure that every moment of your wedding is beautifully documented for you to cherish forever.

Every aspiring Wedding Planner’s dream is to make it to the captivating world of wedding planning. Feeling a mix of excitement and nerves.
Starting out on this journey can be like stepping into a whirlwind of emotions. Before even thinking of becoming one of the versatile wedding planners, you have to possess a special blend of creativity first, planning and organization skills, people skills and again, tons and tons of creativity (Because the more, the merrier). Whether you’re one among the new wedding planners or you’ve come here with the aim to refine your abilities as an existing wedding planner, this article is your guide to becoming a standout wedding planner!
With each challenge you face and triumph you celebrate, remember that growth often happens outside our comfort zones, and every setback is simply a stepping stone toward success. So, this is your cue as an aspiring wedding planner to come join hands with us as we spill the secrets to making your grand debut in the wedding planning industry.
1.Discover Your Unique Brand Voice
As a newbie in the Wedding Planning Industry, you have to first identify what sets you apart from the rest of the wedding planners, i.e., the distinct characteristic you posses.
Start by thinking about what really matters to you. Is it giving top-notch service, being super creative, or making people’s dreams come true? Once you’ve got that sorted, think about the couples you want to work with. What are they into? What do they want for their big day?
When you’re writing or talking to people, let your personality shine through. Be genuine and real. Don’t try to be like everyone else—be you. That’s what people will remember.
It’s easy to look at what other wedding planners are doing and compare yourself. But remember, you’re on your own journey. Channel your inner voice and boldly replicate that inner voice within your brand voice and create a brand that resonates not only with the audience but resonates with you, as well.
2.Stay Informed and Grow
To be among the best, aspiring wedding planners should continuously expand their knowledge base. Staying up-to-date with what’s happening in the industry by going to events like conferences, workshops, and seminars, gives new wedding planners a clear picture into the latest trends that wedding couples would be interested in.
Also, make it a point to immerse yourself in wedding-related content. Read blogs, magazines, and books to get ideas and insights into what couples are into these days. Whether it’s about decorations, dresses, food, or entertainment, staying in the loop will help you offer the best possible service to your clients.
3. Invest in Professional Imagery
In today’s digital landscape, your online presence is often the initial point of contact with potential clients. Present yourself or your team in the best light with high-quality professional photographs. These images convey professionalism, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. If camera-shyness is a concern, enlist the services of a trusted photographer who can capture your essence in settings that align with your brand’s ethos.
The first thing that grasps the attention of every Wedding Couple is the collection of pictures displayed on your social media channels. A bachelor party decor? A Bollywood themed wedding? A memorable after party with a buffet that gets everyone drooling? Well, capture them all. These images not only show that you take your business seriously but also convey a sense of professionalism and dedication to excellence.
If the thought of being in front of the camera makes you nervous, don’t worry. You can always hire a skilled photographer who understands your vision and can capture your essence. Look for someone you trust, who can put you at ease during the shoot. They’ll help you showcase your personality and brand in a way that resonates with your audience.
4.Master Budget Management
Aspiring wedding planners cannot proceed with an action plan without having a budget plan maintained. Mastering budget management is a cornerstone skill for any successful wedding planner. It’s not just about creating a dream wedding; it’s about doing so within the confines of a budget. To excel in this area, start by thoroughly understanding your clients’ financial situation. Dive deep into their budgetary constraints and priorities. What are they willing to splurge on, and where do they hope to cut costs? Know it all!
Once you have a clear understanding of their financial parameters, it’s time to collaborate closely with them. Work hand-in-hand to allocate resources wisely, ensuring that every dollar spent contributes meaningfully to their vision for the big day. This involves making informed decisions and striking a delicate balance between their aspirations and the practical realities of their budget.
Communication is key throughout this process. Make sure to discuss the nitty gritty of financial matters thoroughly and openly with your clients. Help them understand the potential trade-offs involved in different budget allocations, empowering them to make informed decisions that align with their priorities.
5. Implement Efficient Systems
Establishing streamlined workflows is a cornerstone for new Wedding Planners. Document every step of the client journey, from the initial inquiry to post-wedding follow-ups. Consider converting these workflows into checklists or utilizing project management tools like Honey book. Regularly review and refine your systems to enhance productivity and client satisfaction.
Who wouldn’t want their tasks to be planned and executed in an organized manner? In this context, aspiring wedding planners can seamlessly thrive in their industry by creating organized processes that streamline every aspect of the client journey, from the very first inquiry to the final post-wedding follow-up.
Step 1
Document each step of the client’s journey. This includes everything from the initial consultation to the day-of coordination and beyond. By mapping out these processes, you’ll have a clear roadmap to follow for each event, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Step 2
Convert these documented workflows into practical checklists. These can serve as invaluable tools to keep you on track and ensure nothing gets overlooked. Whether it’s venue visits, vendor meetings, or timeline creation, having a checklist for each stage of the planning process can help you stay organized and efficient.
Step 3
The best way new wedding planners can implement a smooth workflow is by leveraging technology. In today’s day and age, when everything is made simple through the use of technology, why rely on traditional methods? Use project management tools like Notion, Trello and Honey book. These platforms are specifically designed to streamline communication, manage tasks, and track progress, making it easier than ever to stay organized and on top of your workload.
Final step
Don’t just set it and forget it! Regularly review and refine your systems to ensure they remain effective and efficient throughout. As you gain experience and insight, you may discover areas for improvement or opportunities to optimize your workflows further. By continuously evaluating and updating your systems, you’ll not only enhance productivity but also elevate the overall client experience, ultimately setting yourself up for long-term success in the wedding planning industry.
6.Harness Time Effectively
What’s another important thing that new wedding planners should invest in? TIME. Investing in ample time and understanding the time you invest in each client project is crucial for ensuring that you’re not only delivering exceptional service but also running a profitable business. Without a clear understanding of how much time you’re dedicating to each aspect of wedding planning, it’s challenging to accurately assess your profitability.
To gain insight into your time management and financial performance, make it a habit to track the time spent on various tasks related to each client project. This includes everything from emailing vendors and attending consultations to finalizing details and executing the wedding itself!
7. Trust Your Intuition

The T20 Format: Where Every Ball Counts
A format that redefined cricket, T20 is the epitome of consuming, unapologetic entertainment. With each side afforded a mere 20 overs, there’s no room for subtlety. Moreover it’s a carnival of power-hitting, cunning bowling variations, and acrobatic fielding. And at the center of this whirlwind stands the towering figure of Chris Gayle, amidst colossal sixes and a strike rate that defies the very concept of scoreboard pressure.
“In T20, you have the license to go big from ball one. It’s the format that suits my game the best.” ~ Chris Gayle
The excitement doesn’t wane from the first ball to the last; it’s a crescendo that builds from frenetic beginnings to pulse-quickening finales. It’s a spectacle that leaves the crowd breathless and the sport unraveled, laying bare the fierce, addictive nature of T20 cricket.
The Legend of Chris Gayle in T20 World Cup
The T20 World Cup isn’t just a stage for the world’s finest cricketers. In fact it’s a culture, an ethos, a narrative unfurling with the bat, ball, and electric energy. And within this grand saga, Gayle’s story is one of dominion, reaching mythic proportions with every innings.
Gayle’s excursions in the T20 World Cup have been nothing short of splendid spectacles. His 117 off 57 against South Africa in the inaugural 2007 edition was a revelation, a harbinger of the carnage he’s capable of and when he replicated this feat with an unbridled 100 off 48 against England in 2016, he didn’t just rewrite the record books. In fact, he scripted a saga of strength and strategy, of which every budding striker of the ball aspired to be a part.
Unpacking Chris Gayle’s Batting Technique
To classify Gayle’s batting as mere power batting would be an injustice. His technique is a blend of controlled ferocity. His stance, wide and sturdy, seems to harness the earth’s energy before releasing it skyward. The timing, the swing, the follow-through; every motion is a testimony to hours of practice culminating in a symphony of destruction when he takes guard.
But Gayle’s technique extends beyond the bat and ball. It’s in the steely resolve that remains unyielding even as wickets tumble at the other end. It’s in the selective agression, picking moments with precision, ensuring that the sixes always dwarf the wickets and fours outnumber the dot balls.
The Challenge of Scoring a Century in T20 Cricket
A century in T20 cricket is akin to a shooting star—beautiful, rare, and fleeting. It requires a game plan that oscillates between caution and chaos, a fine-tuning of aggression hovering over the thinnest wire of strategy. In Gayle’s case, it’s a script he’s mastered in two act-worthy performances. To score a T20 century is to become the game’s protagonist. In addition shouldering the burden of a quick scoring rate while protecting the precious resource of wickets. And no one does it with the elan and effectiveness of Gayle.
The Impact of Gayle’s Centuries on Opponents and Game Dynamics
Gayle’s centuries aren’t isolated events on the scorecard; they’re seismic activities that alter the match’s tectonics. The bowlers, for one, find themselves staring at a lost cause, with their deliveries being reduced to mere statistics on the scoreboard. For the opposition, Gayle’s century is an unraveling, a sight of disconcerting superiority that often drags morale with the plummeting runs.
The elusive mix of caution and aggression in a T20 hundred compels bowlers to rethink their plans on the fly. As well as leading to strategic meltdowns and hasty reconfigurations. It’s a triumph of mind and muscle, one that leaves his team on the brink of victory, basking in the afterglow of Gayle’s brilliance.
Chris Gayle: Beyond the Boundary
Chris Gayle is more than just a cricketer; he’s a phenomenon. His popularity has sprinted past fence clearings to dominate the fan following charts. It’s not just the quantum of runs he scores but the manner in which he does it—a blend of dominance and disdain. Which underlined with an engaging streak that captivates the most casual observer. His off-field shenanigans only add layers to the legend, making him an enigma that the cricket world can’t seem to get enough of.
The Future of T20 Batting Records
Can anyone eclipse Gayle’s records? At present, the thought seems blasphemous. But, as with any pursuit of excellence, the T20 game will evolve. Players will emerge with bat-speeds quicker, muscles stronger, and minds keener. But until then, Gayle’s records will stand as the apex, the summit to which every T20 batsman directs his forays.
The anticipation is palpable, the race tantalizingly close to inception. With the night’s sky of T20 cricket studded with stars, the quest for the fastest century in a T20 World Cup is akin to that for the brightest celestial body. And for now, that luminary is Chris Gayle—the one they call Universe Boss.
Conclusion
The chapter of Chris Gayle in T20 cricket, especially in the T20 World Cup, speaks to more than just runs and records. It’s about setting the bar high—so high that it scrapes against the sky’s ceiling of possibilities. Gayle’s dash between the wickets is an odyssey, a cinematic experience that brims with anticipation. Moreover, delivery, and the enduring applause that follows a masterpiece. His legacy, secured in the cradle of T20 cricket, will resonate through the canorous ‘thwacks’ of bat on ball. In addition to that echo in every boundary and every stadium hosting the fevered duels of T20 cricket.
It’s the saga of a centurion celebrated not just for runs scored but for runs made in rhyme with the spirit of the sport. And as T20 cricket hurtles towards newer frontiers and fiercer battles.
