Cafe Sekai
A Sekai with the setting of a large, colourful cafe parlor named Ongaku no Cup (Cup of Music) for its welcoming and cozy energy. Written on the blackboards is a selection of foods and beverages with the Virtual Singers working as cooking staff and music entertainment! Outside of Ongaku no Cup is a street filled with little shops, but none of them are open.
In the corner of the cafe, there’s a small stage area designated for musical performances. Along with musical equipment, there are a couple of microphone stands as well as a grand piano. Often, the members of the Sekai will practice there with the Virtual Singers offering tips and advice.
There are tables both in and outside of the cafe for whenever and wherever the members of the Sekai feel like chatting or enjoying a quick snack without having to worry about cold weather unless it becomes night. Despite that, it’s not always sunny in the sky. Occasionally, there will be clouds that can be seen floating by. Noticeable, there seems to be a songbird that tends to frequent the cafe…?

The sign of one eye: Origin and occult meaning
Tumblr media
Why are there so many celebrity hiding photos? Definitely not arbitrary. In fact, the Sign of the One Eye has a deep meaning and proves an important fact for the powers that be. This article examines the origin and meaning of the inevitable One-Eye Sign. The sign is everywhere: in music videos, magazine covers or movie posters, in commercials, etc. The number of these photos is simply staggering. In view of these facts, the repeated appearance of the Sign of the One Eye cannot simply be the result of a concurrence. In fact, there is a clear effort to make this sign everywhere. So why is this sign everywhere and what does it mean? Here is a look at the eternal and transcendental symbol of the Eye.
Tumblr media
Turkish Nazar amulet used to banish lessons. Such amulets can be found in Portugal, Brazil, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Albania, Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Turkey, Greece, Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, parts of northern Pakistan , Morocco, southern Spain, Italy, Malta, Romania, the Balkans, the eastern Mediterranean, Syria and Mexico. The human eye has been used as a symbol since the dawn of civilization. It can be found in all ages and cultures. Carl Jung identifies the eye as a classic "archetypal symbol" - an image imprinted in the "collective subconscious" of humanity. According to his theory, humans instinctively respond to archetypal symbols and subconsciously attribute a certain meaning to them. "The eyes are probably the most important symbolic sensory organ. They may represent clairvoyance, omniscience, and / or a portal to the soul. Other qualities that the eyes usually associate with are: intelligence, light, alertness, conscience and truth. To look someone in the eye is a Western practice of honesty. Thus, covering the eyes by wearing a helmet, sunglasses, etc., can mean a mystery, a failure to see the whole truth, or a hoax. The eye often means judgment and power. ”- Dictionary of Symbolism, University of Michigan In almost all cultures, the symbol of the eye is associated with spiritual concepts, such as divinity (the Eye of Providence), spiritual enlightenment (the Third Eye), or magic (the evil eye; lessons). "The eye symbolizes seeing and light, and therefore consciousness itself. The eye is a part of us that looks at the universe and sees our place in it. It is knowledge, awareness and wisdom. The eye picks up light - the pure energy of the universe - and presents it to the inner spirit. It is the gate, in fact the very union, between the self and the cosmos. "- Patrick Bareda," The archetype of fullness - Jung and the Mandalas " In the Bible, Jesus calls the eye "the light of the body." "The light for the body is the eye. Therefore, if your eye be clean, your whole body will be light; if your eye be sly, your whole body will be dark. So, if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness? ”- Matthew 6: 22-23 The symbol of the eye has always been ascribed to it a spiritual dimension. As the popular saying goes: Eyes are the windows of the soul. For this reason, the symbol of the eye is especially important in occult circles and Mysterious schools. From the dawn of civilization, the symbol of the eye and the sun (also known as the "celestial eye") have been associated with divinity. In ancient Egypt, the symbols of Waghet, the Eye of Horus and the Eye of Ra are associated with the sun-god.
Tumblr media
Classic image of the Egyptian Eye of Ra and the Eye of Horus "The early sun-god was called Horus. When Ra takes the title of sun-god, he also becomes known as Ra-Horakti or Ra, which is a Chorus of Two Horizons. In the battle with Seth Horus, he loses one eye. He recovered his eye, and that was when Horus was also called Waggett. " Because the symbol of the eye is associated with the sun - the representative of divinity - the esoteric eye has a special quality: It is "all-seeing." The archetype of the all-seeing one-eyed god-sun can be found in other cultures. In Persia, Ahura Mazda was considered the creator of Earth, heaven and humanity, as well as the source of all good and happiness on earth. He was said to be "his sun is an eye." "The supreme god Ahura Mazda also has an Eye, or in other words, 'with his eyes - the sun, the moon and the stars - he sees everything.'" - Manly P. Hall, "The Secret Doctrines of All Time" In Norse mythology, Odin is known as the "Almighty" (or father of the gods). He was portrayed as an old man with one eye.
Tumblr media
An ancient image of Odin One is another depiction of the one-eyed sun-god creator. "The Supreme, invisible Creator of all things was called the Almighty. His regent in Nature was Odin, the one-eyed god. The Norwegians considered Baldur the Beautiful as a solar deity, and Odin is often associated with the orb of heaven, especially because of his one eye. " Due to the fact that Western occultism was strongly influenced by the esoteric teachings of the upper civilizations, the symbol of the All-seeing Eye found its way to orders such as the Rosicrucians, Illuminati and Freemasons.
Tumblr media
Masonic symbols under the All-seeing Eye "Albert Mackay writes that the All-seeing Eye is" an important symbol of the Supreme Being, occupied by the Freemasons of the ancient peoples. The seeing eye is a symbol representing the watchful eye of God. It reminds us that every thought and action is recorded by the Grand Architect of the Universe and that we are bound by our obligations, both in spirit and in blood. ”- James E. Frey, 32⁰, Midnight Freemasons Due to the strong influence of Freemasonry on the historical events of recent centuries, the symbol of the All-seeing Eye is included on prominent documents, such as the back of the US State Seal and the Declaration of Human Rights.
Tumblr media
Left: back of the US State Seal. Right: The Declaration of Human Rights. "If anyone doubts the presence of Masonic and occult influences at the time the State Seal was designed, he should pay due attention to the comments of Professor Charles Elliott Norton of Harvard, who writes about the unfinished pyramid and the seeing eye that adorn the back as follows: "The emblem adopted by Congress is virtually incapable of processing; it can hardly look (however artistically handled by the designer) other than the Masonic Brotherhood's hazy emblem. "- Hall The symbol of the eye was also accepted by several powerful secret societies, such as O.T.O.
Tumblr media
The seal of O.T.O (Ordo Templi Orientis) Having said that, does the symbol of the All-seeing Eye really represent God - like the Judeo-Christian God? Well, here things are already ... occult (occult means hidden). The renowned American freemason Albert Pike writes that the true meaning of the occult symbols is only revealed at the high levels. "It is in their ancient symbols and their occult significance that the true secrets of Freemasonry are contained. But they are of no value if we see nothing in the symbols of the blue box except the low-minded pretensions to their interpretation contained in our monitors. People do not see the truth that ancient symbols were not used to reveal, but to hide. Each symbol is an enigma to be solved, not a lesson to read. How can an intelligent Mason not see that the blue degrees are only preparatory - to recruit and collect Masonic army regulars and corporals for purposes undisclosed to them, that these are little mysteries in which symbols are used to conceal the truth? ”- Albert Pike,“ The Legend and Reading of the Ancient and Adopted Scottish Charter ” Manley P. Hall, another prominent freemason, writes that the All-seeing Eye is esoterically the ultimate goal of occultism: To achieve divinity through one's own means. This is done by triggering the pineal gland - the Third Eye. "Operational Freemasonry, in the full sense of the term, expresses the process by which the Choir's Eye is opened. There is a small gland in the human brain called the epiphyseal body, which is the sacred eye for the ancients and corresponds to the third eye of the Cyclops. ”- Hall In Islamic eschatology, a figure from the last days named Al-Masih ad-Djal ("a liar, a liar, a deceiver") is said to be blind with his right eye. By pretending to be the Messiah, Dajjal will err and take over the world. For these reasons, the Dajjal has great similarities with the Antichrist in Christianity. The coming of the Dajjal will be preceded by several signs, such as: People will stop offering prayers; dishonor will be a way of life; the lie will become a virtue; people will exchange their faith for worldly profit; usury and bribery will become legal; there will be an acute famine at this time; there will be no shame among the people; many will worship Satan; there will be no respect for the elderly and people will start killing each other for no reason. Given the fact that the world today is ruled by something we call the "occult elite" (because of its links to the occult orders), it is not surprising that its main symbol is found everywhere. But all this is done fraudulently. Today's entertainment industry thrives on control, manipulation and perversion. The whole thing is also about getting the masses out of everything real, clean and healthy. Today the symbol of the All-seeing Eye is for a defense group of people who oppress, monitor and control the world's population.
Tumblr media
George Orwell's 1984 book is a sketch of the control and censorship elite. Enough of the place, almost all editions depict the All-seeing Eye. Although the Seeing Eye is esoterically associated with the opening of the Third Eye in order to achieve divine enlightenment, the sign of one eye made by celebrities is the exact opposite: Hiding or making the eye unfit. The symbolism of this gesture is powerful.
Tumblr media
Katie Perry, closing one eye with the Horus Eye in her Dark Horse video. When you close one eye, you are practically blocking half your vision. Symbolically, you become blind to the truth. By closing one eye, celebrities make a "sacrifice" of a vital part of their being for temporary material gain. And, since the eyes are "windows to the soul," this gesture symbolizes the partial or total loss of one's soul. The sign of the One Eye is also an important symbol in the occult elite's secret obsession: Monarchical mental control. Known to many as the MCULTRA project, mental control aims to turn humans into slaves through violence, trauma and programming. Around the Monarchic Mental Control there is a real culture with its own universe of symbols. And the sign of One Eye is part of it.
Tumblr media
This is a picture by Kim Noble - a survivor of trauma-based mental control. This Katrina is called "Naming" and is associated with naming an alternate personality.
Tumblr media
This picture, called "I-Test also visually describes the trauma and programming of the MK slave.
Tumblr media
The omnipresence of the sign One eye in the media serves another purpose: It proves that all media channels are owned by a very small, elite group. Indeed, in order for the exact same sign to appear constantly and repeatedly on all media platforms around the world, there must be a centralized source of power that is forcibly making it happen. Think about the amount of money, power, and influence needed to get all these celebrities to perform that specific gesture in videos and photos. Now think about the amount of money, power, and influence needed to put that sign on magazine covers, movie posters, music videos, and anything else that can get to the eyes of the masses. In short, this symbol represents the global elite and its whole hellish plan: the depersonalization of the human soul, the promotion of Satanism, the normalization of mental control, the normalization of transhumanism, the blurring of the sexes, and more. The ultimate goal: Divert the masses as far away from Truth, health and balance as possible. The eye symbol is an archetype that goes beyond time and space. Probably because humans instinctively respond to staring eyes, there is something about this symbol that is shocking but at the same time fascinating. While in ancient times the symbol of the All-seeing Eye was often equated with the sun-god, it gradually became a symbol of the power of the secret societies that have shaped history over the last few centuries. Today, the entertainment industry plays a role in the perversion and vilification of powerful symbols in the pursuit of its dehumanizing agendas. The omnipresence of the One Eye symbol now symbolizes the omnipresence of the occult elite. They say, "Look who we control." Having said that, there is a ray of hope. The One Eye sign is a convenient way of identifying the media to avoid, since they are most likely impregnated with the deification of the occult elite. Read the full article

We have a new citizen in Mount Phoenix:
Set, the God of Chaos,                                             whose origins stem from Ancient Egypt.                           He is now a psychiatric clinician at Asclepius General Hospital                                               and a professor at Phoenix University.
FC NAME/GROUP: Haruma Miura (Actor/Brash Brats) GOD NAME: Set ALIAS (FOR SILLY HUMANS): Dr. S.Setti MD, Psy.D PANTHEON: Egyptian OCCUPATION:   –Psychiatric Clinician, Asclepius General Hospital, Trauma and Healthcare Centre –Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Medicine, Phoenix University –Prolific Serial Killer HEIGHT: 184 cm WEIGHT: 67kg DEFINING FEATURES: Set’s irises are black. Not brown, not burnt toast–not a curious dark chocolate, nor rich deep tan. Black–onyx black, coal chip dropped in soot eyes. Eyes that are blacker than the most starless night or darkest deep ocean waters. As black as if a void in the cosmos had opened up where his pupils should have been and swallowed away all the color and light everywhere and from anything before them like a black hole swallowing planets. They are generally deeply unsettling to humans and gods alike with their cold emotionless flat darkness, so Set has taken to always wearing professional glasses or shaded eye wear to distract, conceal and reflect back the shine of a pleasant benevolence that his own true sight lacks. [x] [x] PERSONALITY: Set by his very nature possesses a very convoluted and impenetrable personality. If Set were not a God himself, one would probably see him as a letter perfect highly functional sociopathic psychopath. However, Set is not nor has he ever been something so pathetically mundane as “human” so he would very much find such a timidly narrow view of his finite pursuits, pleasures and pastimes to be malign slander if not a downright insult for which one deserved to be gutted for. Set does not feel a G-O-D requires rationalization (nor compassion or kindness–and perhaps a boat load of other adjectives he is scarily devoid of). In a nutshell the god of chaos, disorder and violence, does not reason or rationalize his own behavior, rather, he relishes the pure unfiltered darkness of it all. His schemes in general are elaborate theater shows of creative mental tortures and always very well planned for maximum devastating effect. There is no doubt that Set can cloak himself in charm, he’ll seem genuinely thoughtful and kind to those that…can “amuse” him for a time. However, Set is incredibly manipulative–he can pull others strings very effectively, wear all the perfect masks of one who is truly caring. He knows how to get to people, how to appear impeccably cultured, appreciative, and sophisticated. All the while turning them inside out to achieve the most disastrous results. He takes joy in toying with others, all for the mirth of watching them twist on their own puppet strings. His sheer remorselessness is without a doubt frightening, and he’ll always deliberately play others to his own advantage. HISTORY: Set is the ancient Egyptian god of the desert, storms, darkness and Chaos. Indeed, in ancient Egyptian culture his very name means to be a “destroyer” or “the  instigator of confusion”. He is one of the first five gods created by the union of Geb and Nut. He did not begin this way. Set was originally an important and friendly god of Upper Egypt whose name was invoked for love spells and inscribed on amulets which served as love charms–unfortunately Set all too soon fell prey to his own desires. Forbidden wants twisted his heart and mind, driving the god to seek out and steal younger sister Nepthys (whom he took to wife). Finding he enjoyed doing things his own way for once, Set challenged his eldest brother Osiris at every turn. It was the most classic case of Middle child syndrome ever.
Osiris bestowed on humans gifts of compassion and equality for all. The world was a paradise where everyone, man and woman, was equal under the reign of the oldest brother, food was abundant, and no one suffered any want. Set grew jealous of Osiris’ power, adoration and resented his success. His resentment grew even more bitter after his wife Nephthys, attracted by Osiris’ beauty, goodness and kind hands, disguised herself and seduced the great king, becoming pregnant with the god Anubis.
In a furious cuckolded rage at Nephthys with her unapologetic adultery, Set decided to remove his brother once and for all. A magnificent casket was created at his order, the most beautiful chest ever made, tailored to Osiris’ exact measurements. He then threw a grand party, to which Osiris was invited, and after the banquet told the guests he had a special surprise. He revealed the chest and said that whoever could fit most perfectly inside could take it home. One by one the guests climbed into the casket but could not fit until Osiris’ turn came. He lay down in the casket and found, of course, that it fit him perfectly. Set immediately in a bloody violent rage, hacked his brother into pieces where he lay, then slammed the lid and threw the casket into the Nile River.
Back in Egypt, Set took the throne, and the harmonious balance which had been maintained by Osiris was completely lost. Set was a chaotic and unpredictable monarch who brought storms and drought and the humans turned on each other in their efforts to survive while Set watched with glee. After all he had never really cared for “humanity” anyway.
It was finally, Horus, son of Osiris who battled his uncle Set and took control once more of the world. He did however spare his uncle’s life because of an appreciation of balance and harmony. The concept of Ma'at (harmony) is integral to Egyptian values–and there can be no Ma'at without Isfet (chaos) too. Set grudgingly accepted his diminished role, but refused to live among the other Gods in the heavens any longer. Instead he moved among the humans seamlessly, intent of cause as much harm as he could to Osiris most favorite of all the universe’s creations. Humans took all too well to the negative aspects and chaos Set brings to their existence and were unknowingly much more a source of continuous entertainment as his pawns and living punching bags.
Time passes though and Set heard whispers of a place that sounds even more intriguing. Mount Phoenix, where the blood of immortals have given life to a new breed of human, ones who might be even better stock for his games. Set is fascinated by the delightful possibilities such a foolish place will present, and more importantly…
He wants to find his own rotten little apples in the barrel of mortality.
POWERS: While Set still does quite enjoy bringing about chaos the good old fashion way (that is with plenty vicious unnecessary violence, liberal blood shed, brutal mutilations and theatrical deaths), he has adapted his mind with time to do the more “messy” work of indirectly subjecting others to his little fun games of havoc far more discreetly. Set is Isfet embodied, thriving in unraveling order, causing destruction and anarchy to reign while he stands tall in the ashes. Isfet or Asfet (meaning"chaos", “violence”, and “to do evil") is the Egyptian counterpart of Ma'at (meaning “order” or “harmony”). Set is able to embody chaos itself and turn it outward as the power of Negikinesis or the ability to manipulate all forms of physical, mental and spiritual negativity as he desires with:
Manipulative Charisma (Set possesses immense extreme charm and ‘magnetic’ quality that transcends mortal limitations, allowing him to sway virtually anyone as well as entire communities to his dark ideas, cause and service with barely any effort.)
Negative Touch (Set cause weakening negative effects on others by touching them.)
Hatred Compulsion (Set can compel hate and/or self-hatred in others with suggestions, causing the target to hate anything/everything about themselves, someone else, even everyone around them. This will cause the victim to be hated themselves, and be more willing to kill those they hate.)
Malevorous (Set feeds on the chaotic darkness of people’s minds, gaining boosts to stamina, strength, durability, and speed, depending on the level of evil and malevolence. This power automatically scans for the worst malicious intent to feed off of when facing multiple victims. Victims need not have actual powers; a sociopathic serial killer is just as useful as a mentally wretched victim.)
Violent Aura (At will, Set can generate an aura of violence that amplifies/induces aggression on beings inside the aura and gains strength from those emotions.)
Weakness Corruption (Set can make others immorally flawed by psychically kindling the targets’ minds so that they succumb to the urges of enhancing/magnifying their own debasing sin and/or humiliating vices.)
Mind Destruction (Set can with a simple negative thought cause madness in a person or group of people that have no mental illness, depending on what he desires at the time, his victims may go slightly loopy or lose total grip of reality becoming delusional, lose control over themselves, take to paranoid, catatonic or hostile behavior.)
STRENGTHS:
Even not using his god-like abilities Set is a formidable clinical hypnotist. He can lull the mortal subconscious just with the sound of his voice and gentle suggestions.
Has been among humanity the longest of the Egyptian Parthenon, and is very adept at moving among humans–or “seeming” as human himself.
He is also an expert in psychology (though he does not believe it to be a science, but more of a game he holds all the wins for.).
Naturally aggressive/volatile primordial beings are even more susceptible to Set’s chaotic influence than “good” calmer ones. Humans and halflings don’t stand a chance.
To all but those of the Egyptian Parthenon (who still remember that Set encased his own brother in a coffin, hacked him to bits after a huge dinner party and also kidnapped his own baby sister to make her his lover), Set comes across as a polite refined gentleman doctor with extensive knowledge about the arts, tea and horticulture.
WEAKNESSES:
Extended suppression of Set’s smaller dark malicious urges usually results in a mental/emotional/psychological meltdown of the killing spree kind. Him being a little bit evil here and there is much better than him in full on ax murdering serial killer mode which he does quite gladly descended into (and easily) without some form of small scale meddlesome entertainment.
Set cannot sway those with true undying loyalty or love towards another with his negative powers. Set also is not able to sway the pure love, loyalty or affection of animals.
Set cannot create a beings flaws out of thin air, only enhance existing ones being repressed or inherent already.
Beings who are child-like with no sense or knowledge of the concepts of chaos, wrongdoing and evil literally are his worst weakness. Set finds their “purity” in particular to be extremely offensive to his senses (they are like “noise” or radio interference to everything he is). You will never find Set going too close to beings like that nor be willing to hold or converse with small children for this very reason.
Is highly susceptible powers of his own birth siblings and their offspring: Osiris, Isis, Nephthys, and Haroeris.
Circumstances of poor taste, breeding or manners, tend to make Set TRUE colors show though. He fights very hard against letting out the madden force of chaotic rage that is his true “colors”. However those who exhibit poor taste or bad manners, usually get to see the god as he truly unpleasantly is.

Fun Places in DFW Where You Can Act Like a Kid
Sometimes the simplest things can take you back to your childhood in an instant. A glimpse of a lunchbox like the one you carried to school, a whiff of the fragrance your first crush wore, the taste of a dish just like your mother used to make. Sometimes that’s all it takes. But sometimes you want more than just reliving memories; sometimes you really want to let your inner kid out. Adults need to play too. We often play at more sophisticated pursuits, but if you really want to act like a kid again, here are some great places in DFW to do it. Bring your imagination (and fond memories) along.
Plane rides, skydiving, hot air balloon rides, zip lines. If you're going to risk your life doing crazy shit in North Texas, you might as well start with this list.
Take it for a Spin
If you’ve never taken a kid-like spin on a swivel stool at a restaurant counter, I highly recommend it. And if it’s simply been too long, I have just the place for you.

Website | Location
Delicious shakes and malts, simple sandwiches, and breakfast favorites are some of the dishes that have stood the test of time at this old-time soda fountain. If you’re a parent or grandparent of youngsters or a PANK (professional aunt, no kids) like me, you have the perfect excuse to visit (or revisit) this magical place. But even without kids in tow, you can order a grilled cheese or a PB&J (no burgers on the menu here) and your favorite shake with no shame. The diner has more than earned its place as a Dallas icon – it celebrated it’s 100th anniversary in 2012.
Whatever you do, don’t forget to twirl on the bar stools. It’s a time-honored tradition still upheld and encouraged by current owner Gretchen Minyard Williams. (And yes, she’s part of the Minyard family you’ve heard of.)
Spin Till You’re Dizzy
Whether you grew up here or just arrived, you have to acknowledge that the ultimate playland in DFW is Six Flags Over Texas.

Website | Location
Do you prefer the thrill-inducing rides like Harley Quinn Spinsanity and Catwoman Whip or something tamer like the Sidewinder or the Mini Mine Train? Either way, you’ll be ready to play all day at the 212-acre park with almost 50 rides.
The theme park has been open for close to 60 years, and its theme has changed a bit over the years. From the historic Texas references of its earliest days to its Cyrus Cosmo days in the 70s to today’s Looney Tunes and Justice League associations, the park has always had the right stuff to bring out the kid in you.
Air-Conditioned Amusement
Dave & Buster’s - Euless
→ Map
Also in Frisco, Dallas and Arlington
Around here where it’s summer nearly year-round, you might be wishing for an indoor amusement park. Dave & Buster’s is all games all the time. Its Million Dollar Midway features everything from skeeball to state-of-the-arts virtual reality games and rides. Speaking of skeeball – don’t you love those tickets?!? Feel free to wave around your winnings with honest-to-goodness big kid pride.
More Kidding Around
If you prefer old school games, you can get your fill of those at Free Play Arcade in Denton, Arlington or Richardson. At Quarter Lounge arcade in Bedford you can play retro video games to your heart’s content. ITZ in Euless has VR games, bowling, bumper cars, and more.
7 Places to Explore and Experience in Frisco
Wheels Keep Spinning
If you were a kid in the 70s or 80s in DFW, chances are you spent some time on roller skates. Those of you who came along later missed out on something great. The three rinks listed below all have Adult Skate nights. I’ve been told the adult nights at Southern Skates are epic.
Interskate Roller Rink – Lewisville
     → Map
Forum Roller World - Grand Prairie
     → Map
Southern Skates – South Dallas
     → Map
If you haven’t ever roller skated, it might take a few minutes to get the hang of it, but you’ll really like it. Think of it as your daily walk or jog while listening to your favorite tunes – except with disco lights. Seriously, skating rinks are the perfect place to enjoy the latest music, get a little easy and fun exercise, and feel like a kid again. First -timers welcome: fond memories not required.
Leave those Kids at Home
Not home alone – you’re gonna need a babysitter. You don’t want to miss these grown-up nights (with drinks!) at the science museums in Fort Worth and Dallas.
Science on Tap – Fort Worth Museum of Science and History
     → Map
Social Science – Perot Museum of Nature and Science
     → Map
For a night at the museum you won’t soon forget, check out the adults-only social nights at a Fort Worth or Dallas science museum. With drinks and food available for purchase, your ticket covers entrance into exhibits, special talks, music and other entertainment, and a chance to learn about science and technology in a fun way. The events happen approximately once per calendar quarter – watch the websites for announcements of coming events.
Do You Believe in Magic?
If you believe in magic, you may want to make a day trip to Argyle, near Denton, where you’ll find a couple of things that seem like they came right out of a fairy tale.
Photo courtesy of Kimzey's Coffee Shop
Kimzeys – Argyle
     → Map
GnomeCones – Argyle
→ Same address – shares a parking lot with Kimzey’s, Earl’s 377 Pizza, and Bumbershoot Barbecue
Kimzey’s really does look like it could be Snow White’s cottage. Except it’s larger – much larger. Each room has its own charms as do the garden areas outside. Something Kimzey’s has that Snow White may not have had is coffee – really good coffee. Espresso, cold brews, and other specialties are made with locally roasted beans from West Oak Coffee in Denton. It’s a coffee lover’s dream come true. You can also get milk shakes and baked goods or beer, wine and whiskey at this truly enchanted spot.
At a little white shack in the parking lot, you can experience a Gnome Cone, which is like a snow cone, but so very much better. The shaved ice cones served in a cup act as the gnome’s cap – such a clever idea! The cold treats aren’t just cute though; the unique flavored syrups are made from all natural (often organic) ingredients. The stand now serves gnome-sicles too.
Have a Kid-Free Kid-Around Day
If you’re an empty-nester without grandkids or childless for any other reason, Legoland might make you wish you had a kiddo around. But one night a month, adults get the kiddie playland all to themselves.
Legoland
It’s just ONE Friday night a month, so you have to stay on top of their calendar to get in on this one. Events are usually from 7-9 PM and have themes, games, and competitions just for grown-up kids.
With some ideas to spur your thinking, I bet you’ve come up with a few ideas of your own on how to play with abandon – just like kids do – in DFW. If I’ve missed one of your favorite spots, let me know in the comments or on our Facebook page!

Justin Roiland of Squanch Games Reveals More On Trover Saves The Universe
Developer Squanch Games announced their next virtual reality (VR) title during Sony’s conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018 recently, Trover Saves The Universe. This title is an action platformer in which players will set out on a grand adventure full of the outrageous sense of humor of Justin Roiland. Now, following the announcement of the title Justin Roiland and Tanta Watson of Squanch Games reveal more on the title in an interview with PlayStation.
The trailer that was shown for Trover Saves The Universe was a taste of what players can expect in this new VR adventure coming to PlayStation VR. That said, one character from the start of the video has stood out to people and his name is Bathtub Guy. Speaking to PlayStation, Roiland revealed some details on this orange character: “He’s unlockable, you can play as bathtub guy (laughs) no, no, but he is a character your going to meet along your epic journey through the cosmos. Bathtub guy will be very helpful to you on your journey.”
Roiland goes on to explain that Trover Saves The Universe is a grand adventure in which players will not only be controlling Trover as a third-person character but they themselves will be in the world of the title as a first-person character. “It’s co-op with yourself,” Roiland says: “Your in the game as a first-person character but then there’s a third-person character that your also controlling and it actually works really, really well like control-wise. It’s actually really comfortable and not to complicated”
To allow players to move around the many different planets within the title, and to avoid motion sickness, Squanch Games are making use of two different systems. One of these is dubbed the ‘Telepod’ which will move players from planet to planet, and takes on the form of a circular elevator. To navigate this planets thought players will move between ‘Warp Nodes’ allowing them to easily see Trover and the action at all times.
Roiland’s last VR title was a much different style of videogame, and when questioned about what the driving force behind the design of Trover Saves The Universe‘s design was he explained: “I wanted a really sticky, fun platformer/action title. I love the combination of you being there with this little purple partner, Trover, and your working together to figure things out and progress but also because your there when you met an NPC or another wired character in the world there talking directly to you and you can answer them, literally in the game but yeah, there is a lot going on in this game.”
“The north star for us was really once we had that foundation of really good, sticky gameplay was like ‘okay, now we’re going to be a house of comedy on top of it and we’re going to make fun of ourselfs, we’re going to make fun of, you know, just games tropes.”
The humor of Roiland is a main draw for the title. He went into detail about the process of building the universe within the title and how to create the humor that would fill it, including a number of jokes that poke fun at other titles: “We try to keep it very much in it’s own universe you know for the most part, but we make comments and references but there masked as like an alien version of the thing we’re talking about. So if we’re going to do a pop culture joke it will be under a layer of weirdness, but it’s more like casting really funny people to do the voices and then really loose, having a lot of fun in the booth, outtakes for intakes, messing up a line and keeping it, breaking character because whoever is recording might go completely off script, make something up and then we’re all laughing at it, then we use that.”
This plays into the title in the form of different moments players can experience, including the reactions that some characters will have to the player. Roiland explains that thanks to the power of VR, they are able to build a number of moments that are otherwise not possible in non-VR titles. That said, and as Trover Saves The Universe is playable in both VR and non-VR, they took the opportunity to build some jokes into those moments for the non-VR version. Roiland stress that both versions are pretty much the same experience and that in fact it is possible players will need to play through the title twice in order to witness every encounter. This freedom was something that Roiland picked up from working on Accounting.
“So imagine you have a cutscene in a game, a lot of games will lock you in or force you to sit and listen to a character go on about whatever it is that’s narratively important to the game and I have a much more like ‘let’s make the player make that decision’. If they want to sit and listen – this character might talk for 20 minutes – if they want to sit and listen to this character their more than welcome to, if they don’t, like they can just go, we never force the player to do anything and that was very much a high level design philosophy in Accounting.”
“The game itself was build to be very contextual,” Watson adds: “So we want the player to feel like their the star of this game and their doing things with Trover that’s like typical gamer stuff like jumping over something, and Trover will responses in real-time hes like ‘Why you overhear doing this thing you should be over there’ or like ‘we’re not on track!’ so we continoue to build it that way”
“That’s something I really want in VR,” Roiland comments: “Characters that are aware of you and what your doing. I love that in VR you know, and in games in general and it’s not new new but it’s something i think is really important.”
With Trover Saves The Universe, Roiland and Squanch Games are clearly trying some new things and if the above and teaser trailer are anything to go by, it all sounds rather promising. Trover Saves The Universe is currently in development for PlayStation VR and for all the latest on it and E3 2018, keep reading VRFocus.

Does God Exist? Part II (Agnosticism and One Argument)
In the previous post, we addressed the issues appropriate for having a discussion regarding the existence of God. Now, in this next part regarding the question of God’s existence and what can be said about it, I wish to formulate and extend a particular argument for God’s existence. An argument which, is perhaps one of the oldest and yet most famous a posteriori arguments that has taken place within the great conversation of philosophy. Before I do so however, I wish to only clarify a few things here and from the previous post.
Particularly, the goal of this series is to not necessarily be “agnostic friendly.” Not in the sense that agnostics and their opinions on these issues are not welcome, or that I am personally against agnostics as people, but rather that their position in respect to God’s existence is one that doesn’t own up to intellectual responsibility demanded on their behalf. In other words, it is virtually undeniable that the question of God’s existence is a knowledge issue – i.e., a particular kind of knowledge issue. Theists claim to have knowledge in respect to the proposition that “God exists,” and likewise with atheists in the negative fashion of that same proposition. Agnostics on the other hand abandon the knowledge issue altogether and do not wish to speak on the subject.
I respect in a certain sense this degree of humility that the agnostic asserts in regards to God’s existence – that he has observed the arguments from both sides and simply cannot make up his mind, or that he is too ignorant to really make a decision on the question. However, whichever one it may be, the problem is still unavoidable that the given evidence from both sides still demands a verdict. Peter Kreeft (1993) offers three practical ways we can properly weigh the evidence:
(1) We must be totally honest and try to have motives as pure and as passionate as possible.
(2) We must all look at all the evidence on both sides, and not focus on only one side or only one part of the evidence.
(3) We are not reduced to passive reasoning and learning; we can also preform active experiments.
I take it that (1) might be the most problematic suggestion in terms of embodying what it tries to express. However, I do not think that our practice of passion and honesty is far from our grasp in respect to this issue. As Kreeft explains:
[T]o deeply desire to know the truth for its own sake, regardless of the consequences, however uncertain and fearful, however personally inconvenient these may be. Honesty requires something from both the intellect and the will, but it begins in the will, in a resolve. Honesty with oneself is difficult – often much more difficult than honesty with others. [ …] But unless both sides begin here, with an unqualified “I will” to honesty and truth, whatever it may turn out to be, there is no hope of really settling this issue, or any other, and debate becomes a mere entertainment, a sham. [1]
Thus, I think the question is important for the reason that “the idea of God is either a fact, like sand, or a fantasy, like Santa” [2]. Therefore, this “either-or” mindset that I think is appropriate for the question before us leads to eschatological or thanatological importance.
In other words, at the end of our lives when we die, we will either meet God or we will not. As Kreeft and his analogy points out, “It obviously concerns us to know ahead of time which is the case, just as it concerns one who is falling to know whether there is a fireman’s net below or just a concrete street” [3].
This is a notable and distinctive quality found within the thought of French philosopher Blaise Pascal’s work, Pensees (“Thoughts”). As he writes:
“Either God is or he is not.” But to which view shall we be inclined? Reason cannot decide this question. Infinite chaos separates us. At the far end of this infinite distance a coin is being spun which will come down heads or tails. How will you wager?  [4]
This point is important from Pascal because we are not merely observers of this grand scheme but are also participators. The reality of death motivates us to submit our concerns as to the truth behind this question, and honesty surely is the best place to start.
II
To state finally and somewhat quickly, I am trying to frame this post – and posts – so as to make their sections somewhat independent of one another. In other words, you are not required at part 4 to go back to part 2 in order to better understand a particular conversation going on in 4. However, I do believe that wherever you start in the parts of this series, part 1 is only particularly important because it provides a proper framework for understanding the structural arguments of the preceding parts (although, it is still not necessary because I am not one to be tedious).
Thus, you are even more than welcome, for instance, to skip this section and even the one before it and simply move ahead to the following sections that more relevantly address the question at hand – i.e., the argument being used.
The Cosmological Argument
The argument I first wish to examine is the Cosmological Argument for God’s existence. I think it is perhaps one of the more simpler arguments to understand and runs through an easily remembered logical scheme so as to provide sufficient provoking of thought and consideration for believer and unbeliever alike. First we must ask, why is it called the Cosmological Argument?
As defined by atheist George H. Smith (1979), Cosmological Arguments attempt “to demonstrate the existence of god by applying philosophical or scientific principles to a basic fact of the universe – a fact, that is claimed, that cannot be explained without reference to a supernatural being”  [5].
To use the language of philosopher Alexander Pruss, the Cosmological Argument looks at some given cosmic feature of the universe – such as contingent/dependent (this will be explained later) beings or the fact of motion – and “calls out” for an explanation of these things. This explanation by which, is best explained in terms of the activity of what’s known as a First Cause.
However, it is important to understand that Cosmological Arguments are families of arguments that seek to demonstrate the existence of a First Cause as an explanation for the existence of the cosmos. Thus, one contemporary and notably popular Cosmological Argument runs simply as follows:
(1) Whatever begins to exist has a cause.
(2) The universe began to exist.
(3) Therefore, the universe has a cause.
This is known as the kalam Cosmological Argument. Popularized by philosopher William Lane Craig (1979), this argument has shared many places of considerable discussion among contemporary philosophers and theologians today. However, in defending the argument, it is usually best to examine premise (2) first rather than (1), due to (2)’s controversial discussion on certain cosmogonic theories. As Craig (2012) writes,
[T]his is clearly the more controversial claim and since some attempts to subvert (1) are based upon cosmogonic theories – the discussion of which would be premature prior to their introduction in our treatment of (2). [6]
Thus, premise (2) takes upon many philosophical evidences – to address the impossibility that the universe is eternal – and scientific ones – to gain support from contemporary Big Bang cosmology – so as to maintain an air-tight deduction to the argument’s conclusion: “The universe has a cause.” However, let us first address the question of whether or not the universe is eternal. Since, as it seems, the argument’s conclusion regarding the existence of a First Cause hinges upon the assumption that the universe is not eternal in the past – but actually began a finite time ago, and has a cause of its existence.
The Impossibility of Infinity in Reality
Consider this analogy: Let’s say that you are in a library. This library happens to contain hundreds upon thousands upon millions of books – in fact, this library contains an infinite amount of books, so as to say that there is no “last book.” Suppose for instance that we labeled each book with a natural number ranging, from 1. . . 2. . . 3. . . up to infinity.
Thus, now let us take all of these books as a collective set – we will call this set an actual infinity.  If these books (collectively taken) are actually infinite, then we cannot add another book onto the set. Since, all the numbers on the books are actual – i.e., we cannot add another book to this infinite set. As Craig notices in respect to trying to add a new book with another number:
Because the collection is an actual infinity, this means that every possible natural number is printed on some book. Therefore, it would be impossible to add another book to this library. For what would be the number of the new book? Clearly there is no number to assign to it [ … ] Therefore, there would be no new number for the new book. But this is absurd, since entities that exist in reality can be numbered. [7]
Furthermore consider the remarks (coin analogy) made by Craig in his debate with Peter Millican at the University of Birmingham (see 00:38-2:41): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6daCfQBKiA
In other words, past events throughout the universe’s history (or, events before the present moment) would have to themselves be eternal, if the universe was actually infinite. Therefore, we would never reach the present moment. Consider philosopher J.P. Moreland’s (1993) exposition of this point:
Now if one cannot cross an actual infinite, then the past must have been infinite. If it were infinite, then to come to the present moment, one would have had to have traversed an actual infinite to get here, which is impossible. Without a first event, there could be no second, third, or any specifiable number of events including the present one. Not only could one never complete the jump, one could never even get started. [8]
Thus, it has been stated that we have adequate philosophical reasons for affirming that
(a’) The universe began a finite time ago.
Furthermore, with everything considered, we can possibly state the following argument:
(1) One can’t traverse an actually infinite number of events by successive addition.
(2) To get to the present moment, one would have to have traversed an actual infinite.
(3) But the past has been realized.
(4) So there must have been a first event.
(5) This event must have been spontaneously generated by an unchanging, timeless, and free situation.
Furthermore,
(5′) It is unreasonable to say that the first event was uncaused.
(5*) Agent causation is a reasonable explanation.
Further support for (5) I think could be noted from a mere understanding of the word “universe.” For instance, it can be agreed that the universe, by definition, includes all of physical reality. Hence, the cause of the universe must be causally prior to the universe’s existence. Therefore, the cause of the universe transcends (or is above) space and time. Craig thence argues for a personal Creator “who exists changelessly and independently prior to creation and in time subsequent to creation” [8].

ONE THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHTS
BY XINRAN MA
Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome to One Thousand and One Nights. It is a superb immersive experience unlike anything you have ever seen. The moment you walk into this grand palace, the dreamscape will be presented and wait for you all to explore. Are you ready?
Don’t be intimidated. They won’t harm you. It is our prestigious etiquette to greet our distinguished guests. Generals, soldiers, hunters, maids, emperors, dancers, scholars and whoever in front of you are merely the components that construct this world. They are the hosts of the upcoming dreamscape just like you are the hosts of your reality.
Don’t be shy, please walk past the front gate. Please walk through the border that separates dream and reality. From now on, the journey starts. The grand avenue right in front of you will lead you to our destination, the theater, where the show takes place. You are the audiences who need to observe, feel, resonate with each story and construct your own interpretation.
Don’t be distracted, please follow my voice. Open the doors, hold your breath, your Alice-like experience starts. Enjoy One Thousand and One Nights. Yes, it is very dark. Be careful. Take some time to adjust to the environment. You probably can see nothing but the dim lights and the glowing signs on the floor extending all the way to the horizon. Each sign indicates a scene. In the show, there will be two reality exists simultaneously. One is the reality that all of you are in; the other is the reality that will emerge in front of you. There is no physical separation between the two. Aside from the old-fashioned way that is to merely stand watching, each scene will provide you a thrilling way to cross the border to indulge in it. You’ll see.
Step forward to Night 1, Scene 1: Prologue. Please pull the curtain and listen to the audio.
Night 1. The Infinite Palace.
Night 1. Scene 1. Prologue.
Once upon time, there was a king who built a utopia – The Infinite Palace. Nobody knows when it was built. Nobody knows where it locates. Nobody knows how large it is. The palace, of enormous scale was virtually a palace of palaces, which was composed of countless number of palaces, only to meet the king’s obsession of palaces. Every day, he would celebrate this masterpiece with entertainment and rituals. He and his people were living happily in this secret paradise.
The foyer, which used as a public space, serves as the intersection of three paths. From left to right, the paths lead to three featured spaces of the palace – the Museum, the Main Hall and the Roof.
All right, ladies and gentlemen, please walk around the curtain and you will find a balloon that can take you to explore into the scene. Limit number of people only, the rest of you please step back and walk to the next scene. Please pull the curtain.
Night 1. Scene 2. The Museum.
The king has his own Museum. However, it is not a normal museum but rather a museum of palaces. He commanded to build a library exclusively for the collection of palaces. All the palaces were carefully built in a gigantic shelf, similar with a bookshelf but in a much larger scale. All the entrances of different palaces were stacked together, in the form of the grand bookshelf-like building. Every now and then, when he was in a nice mood, he would go to the museum, target the palace he was interested in and spend his vacation in it.
Interesting, isn’t it? The guest who is tempted to challenge and explore further is more than welcome to find the appropriate size of ladder behind the curtain and climb all the way past the border up to the one you are interested in. It can be very steep, so watch your step carefully. The rest of you please follow my voice and walk to the next scene.
Night 1. Scene 3. The Main Hall.
The Main Hall was the core of the whole palace connecting all the hallways. In such space, it was difficult to differentiate inside and outside. Human was no longer the master of the space but rather the space itself. Geometrical patterns of the road system formed into an absolute order, binding all the buildings and gardens. The ceiling was the mirror of the sky where the king believed that it was the way to keep humble embracing the breathtaking cosmos.
Have some knowledge about the constellation? Feel free to play with the globe to obtain an idea of the stars that demonstrate on the ceiling. Meanwhile, there are also aircrafts offered around the corner for you to navigate in the scene. Those who are ready for the last scene of Night One, please follow my voice to Scene 4.
Night 1. Scene 4. The Roof.
The last path from the foyer led to the roof. The roof was the place for the king to observe, meditate, and worship. Infinite palaces were connected together to form countless courtyards. Each courtyard was virtually embodied a city that the king ruled. The center courtyard was an exception. It was a reflection of the moon. Every full-moon night, the king would invite the Masters to conduct the ritual. They would use ropes to connect all the palaces and dance over them to express worship.
Thank you for listening, those who would like to experience even closer, there are two ways to choose: the telescope in front of you and the airship behind the curtain that can take you into the scene.
Ladies and Gentlemen. What is the difference between dream and reality? Keep that in mind. Hold your breath. Here comes Night 2.
