He awaits some type of violence or betrayal from you, but still melts completely into your embrace. You can hear him sniveling a little bit, hugging you back tightly and snaking his face into the nape of your neck. He doesn’t let go for a good while.

nbc hannibal is a romcom purely because the central conflict results from hannibal not understanding his feelings for will and being a total loser about it because he’s never had a friend or been in love before which makes him act so silly and do the most insane things that will interprets being framed for murder as hannibal having something against him (as anyone would), and this series of misunderstandings is not resolved until hannibal’s ex girlfriend and former psychiatrist tells will that hannibal is so in love with him it makes him look stupid. after that will does not hesitate to break hannibal out of jail and douse himself in blood which is this show’s equivalent to the protagonist running to the airport to stop their love interest from leaving the country and marrying someone else before they’ve had the chance to confess that they’ve loved them ever since they’ve known them

here's that second request; it really is very hard to properly give such a rich expression to a dude who's got 80% of his face covered. as for the survivalist, i'd really love to draw him but i've got a specific vision of him in my head and my hands won't cooperate.

“Thank you. Th- thank you.” He says, although with a practiced smile that doesn’t reach the blank look in his eye. Gracefully he slides it on, putting on a little bit of a show as he does, before patiently awaiting the medicine that he knows will come along with it.

Graham-

“Thank you! Thank you, thank you.” He doesn’t really know what it is as he’s giving repeated thanks, he just knows he must be extra grateful for what he’s given. Clumsily he puts it on - it doesn’t fit right, and he’s obviously uncomfortable. He tries his best not to let it show.

Agnes-

“Oh.” Her grip tightens around it, stiff, as she licks her lips with a wary spark. “I-,” she swallows, before doing similarly to Wesley. Her movements are sensual and trained, seeking approval in your face, but her body is trembling and her eyes are growing with moisture.

Florence-

“This… this is real fucking ugly.” He says, with a little bit of a chuckle, before noticing the disappointment in your expression. “I- I didn’t mean-,” he curls in on himself, biting at the tips of his nails. “Sorry. I’m sorry. Please. I beg forgiveness.”

Otis-

They hold it up, studying it with an empty smile. “Thank you, you are very kind.” They say, but they don’t put it on, instead hugging the pink ball of warmth to their chest.

Joey-

“Thank you very much.” She says, with a wary smile. She doesn’t seem as thankful as she sounds, but still she puts on the sweater with her arms crossed over her exposed midsection.

Edith & Oscar-

“W- wow!” Oscar exclaims, both holding up their sweaters in a sort of disbelief.

“Wonderful! Th- thank you!” Edith chimes in, her smile faltering.

Isaac-

“Damn! You think I could pull this off?” She laughs, putting the sweater up to herself, although you can clearly tell she’s not as comfortable as she’s presenting herself. “Thanks, man.”

i’m not sure if you take these kinds of asks but i think people should know that graham harrington, the man who really is the reason we still have carpentarian grasswrens on the planet, passed away this week. he was active in the birding community passing on his knowledge and passion to others through the entirety of his long degenerative illness and until he died. i’d count my life well lived if my time on earth was half as impactful as his.

I was not familiar with Graham Harrington but I just spent a little time reading about him and his legacy.

His story is a truly powerful reminder that sometimes all it takes to save an entire species is a handful of motivated people taking the time to realize they’re in need of saving.

He did incredible things with his time here on Earth, any of us would be lucky to leave our planet with such a lovely parting gift as the Carpentarian grasswren.
