I was unsure about posting these for the longest time, I wasn’t exactly happy with how they turned out but I love small aspects of these sketches. These are some witch characters I made and now I’m working on a story with them in it. I need to keep drawing them till I’m satisfied with an illustration and I want to finalize it, this was just experimenting with certain ideas I hadn’t been able to visualize properly before now.

These were the initial sketches where I designed the story’s characters, additionally with the demon train conductor witch Carmin and the two that started it all, Maev and Nissa Wyrmwood. I was really happy with how these came out but I didn’t like how messy the presentation was, so I kept them to myself and tried drawing cleaner versions, the ones at the top of this post. But I wasn’t totally happy with those, they were too stiff, they didn’t feel like the characters, something was a little off in each one. So here’s a post showing both versions, you can imagine a cross between the two sets of illustrations.
