In India, we listen to our elders on all types of Pooja rituals and vrats. We also have seen many festivals in our lives and see elders perform the Pooja and instructions we receive from them as to how to conduct a Pooja and its significance.  

Swarna Gowri  or Mangala Gowri  Pooja is dedicated to Goddess Gowri, the consort of Lord Shiva. This festival falls during  Shravan month.

Shravan month is dedicated to Lord Shiva to seek blessings and from Goddess Gowri by observing vrats.
