Wag My Tail
Carlos is drunk and just wants to see some puppies.
Just a little pseudo-prompt initiated by my teaser for Chapter 7 of The Wedding Date (made by @bunny-lou and @hersilentlanguage). It’s NOT an extension of the fic, I just used the idea to have some fun, and made it Halloween-themed to get in the holiday mood 🎃😈💀👻
“Eves, I blame you for this.”
Jay wraps his coat a little tighter, hugging it as securely as he can against his body to combat the bitter chill of the night air. He’s now fully regretting letting the girls convince him to wear body paint over a regular dog costume. If he had known they’d be spending half the night walking through the streets, he never would have gone for it.
“What?! What did I do?” She tries to pout pitifully, but her painted on whiskers and pink nose make it look almost comical. Mal is huddled next to her, cuddling against Evie’s side as Evie walks quickly with her phone out in front of her, texting frantically.
“Have you ever seen a vet uniform that tight? That costume you made hugs, like, everything!” Jay shakes his head, picking up his pace. “I should’ve just locked him in our room and kept him there the second I saw him in that fucking thing.” He mutters, shoving his paw-covered hands under his armpits for more warmth.
“Jay, just chill, ok? We all agreed sexy was the point of these costumes, remember?”
Mal rolls her eyes, pulling on Evie to walk faster as she keeps her eyes glued to her phone.
“I mean, it’s not like cats have hips and boobs like these, do they?” She cups Evie’s chest. The bluenette quirks a little smile as she elbows Mal lightly, all the while still texting. “And you’d be wearing a fucking shirt, Scooby.” She gestures to Jay, chuckling as he glares back.
“You had your part in this too Mal, don’t even get me started. You never should have given him that many shots. Pup doesn’t say no to you, you know that.”
Mal chuckles, shrugging at Jay. “Doug’s got an eye on him, we’ll get him back.”
-----
He’s ok, he’s in front of me. Outside Auradon City Grille. HURRY.
Doug tucks his phone in his pocket quickly, blowing on his hands and rubbing them for warmth before shoving them back in his pocket. Texting location updates every minute is not helping with body warmth at all.
He’s stil happy he spotted Carlos though, stumbling out the door of the party with some random Tourney player he’s never met. Not that he talks to many of the jocks anyway. But this guy was very tall and broad, skin an even darker bronze than Jay’s, but his long, dark hair was thick and curly. He’s pretty sure it was Moana’s son, but he’s not about to go up and ask a tall, muscular, guy why he was wrapping a tight arm around his friend’s waist and practically helping him walk out the door.
Not without Jay backing him up at least.
Carlos was chattering excitedly, gesturing with one hand while the other was wrapped tightly around the other boy’s, propping himself up as best he could to walk. His words were a slurry mess though, as animated as they were, and his stumbling walk was so bad he was mainly turning his shoes out with every step, so close to twisting his ankles each time it made Doug wince in anticipation.
“Ssssooooo izzz black ‘n’ white?!” Carlos asks the boy, eyes bright and eager. The boy nods, the arm around Carlos’ waist starting to slip lower as they slow their pace.
“Dam-Damaltion? Or maybe, Auzrali-lian She..p...shep...” Carlos stumbles on his letters, pulling back to try to force out the sound. “huh...huh...Shep-huh-erd?” He giggles softly once he’s able to get out all his words.
“Yeah, yeah, the last one! You got it.” The guy nods, smiling as he scoops Carlos in closer. “And he’s adorable, wait till you see! Only a month old.”
Carlos laughs, swatting at the guy’s hand on his waist. “No wayyyy. Thaz too baby! He can’t be away from hizz mamma yet. Izzz gotta be like, 12 weekz, right?” Carlos looks up at him with a droopy-eyed grin.
“Uh, right. You’re right. He’s 12 weeks. Sorry.”
Doug huffs, shaking his head and whipping back out his phone.
Asshole is a liar. No puppy. Groping Carlos. GET HERE NOW.
-----
A tiny gasp slips out as Evie reads her new text, enough to make Mal look over and take a peek. Her eyes widen, and they both look to make sure Jay’s not watching.
“We’re close, right? Mal whispers, as breathy and quietly as she can. Evie just nods, eyes still on Jay as he jogs to the next corner, eyes whipping all around, desperately searching for the missing vet.
“Jay! Left!” Evie shouts, pulling Mal along with her.
He makes no acknowledgement but follows her instruction, turning to the left down the next street. He immediately spots Doug and breaks into a sprint, grabbing him harshly by the shoulders as soon as he reaches him.
“Where is he?!” He shouts, making Doug flinch at the volume of his voice. He hesitates, then looks to his right. Jay follows his line of sight, instantly spotting the larger boy hugging Carlos as they disappear down the next block over.
“Thanks Doug!” He yells gratefully, pointing as he starts to run. “You’re the best. I owe you!”
Evie squeezes Doug’s shoulder, smiling warmly when she and Mal finally reach him.
“You really are the best, Doug. Thank you for keeping Carlos safe.”
Doug grins back, a light blush tinting his cheeks as both girls continue to smile at him
“Anytime. Go get your boy!” He waves as the girls start running to catch up to Jay. He shakes his head as he wrings his hands, finally shoving them back into his pockets and sighing as he feels the warmth they so needed.
“But if you don’t start chaining that boy’s ass to Jay whenever you let him drink I fucking swear I’ll do it myself.” Doug mutters to himself as he heads back to his heated dorm room.
Evie hooks Mal’s arm to drag her faster as Mal groans, starting to pant heavily from keeping up with the girl. But Evie is increasingly worried about the potential scene they may walk into if Jay is left to his own devices with the boy that swiped Carlos from the party.
“Tane!”
Thankfully, the girls catch up just in time to see Jay confront his teammate. The boy turns around, trying his best to carefully slide his hand back up to Carlos’ waist so as not to alert Jay to its original position.
“Jay!” Carlos exclaims, his droopy eyes brightening slightly. “Tane got a puppyyyy! We’re gonna go zee it. You shoul’ come!”
He leans forward to slip out of Tane’s grip. The boy tries to curl his arm tighter arond Carlos’ waist, but Jay dips in with a forceful glare. Tane freezes, letting his arm go and dropping Carlos into Jay’s arms. He scoops Carlos up quickly, pressing him firmly against his chest and trying his best not to give an audible sigh of relief.
“He got an Auzzie, Jay! They so pwetty...” Carlos drawls, almost sleepily but with a big smile still curled on his lips.
Tane nods insistently, “Yep! Exactly. I was just taking Carlos to see him cause he asked. No big deal.”
“Oh really?” Mal quips, loosening her grip on Evie to take a step towards the big, hulking boy. “So tell me then, Tane, how big is your pup going to get?
Mal stands sternly, arms crossed as she stares him down. He pauses, staring back with a blank expression.
Evie steps forward with Mal, putting her hand on the girl’s shoulder as she harshly juts her hip out. “Yeah, Tane, tell us. Your parents would want to know how big of a dog would be in their house, wouldn’t they?” She tips her head to Mal, who returns her knowing look.
Tane sputters indignantly, mirroring Mal’s crossed arms. “Um. Just, like, 25 pounds? My parents didn’t want a big dog.”
Mal smirks, turning to Jay. He grins back, stroking Carlos’ hair calmly as he dips down to the boy’s ear.
“‘Los? How big do Aussies get?”
Carlos hums, leaning into Jay’s soft touch. “Femalezzz...35 to 50 pounds, but the malez range anywhere from 55 to 70.”
Jay smiles proudly, planting a kiss to the top of Carlos’ head. “That’s my boy. Nothing can stop that beautiful brain.”
Mal turns back to Tane, flashing a wicked grin. “Well T, I think you better run home and have a chat with mommy and daddy. Because that’s not an Aussie at your house.”
Evie smiles, both girls waggling their fingers teasingly at the boy. “Bye T. Get yourself home safe now.”
Tane scoffs, glancing at Carlos. Jay tightens his grip, holding Carlos tightly as he keeps steely eyes on the other boy.
“Whatever,” Tane snarks, rolling his eyes as he starts his walk back. Alone.
Evie’s smile brightens as they see the boy leave. Grabbing Mal’s arm, she turns them around fully to face Jay.
Carlos has flipped himself around in Jay’s arms snuggling against his neck and making Jay giggle quietly. The girls watch, gazing fondly at their freckled boy.
Evie leans forward, combing her fingers gently through white curls. “Crisis averted,” she whispers, looking around at Jay and Mal’s nods of approval.
Jay drops his body down and quickly hoists Carlos over his shoulder, prompting a sharp yelp from the tipsy boy. Carlos wiggles and whines, but Jay wraps a tight arm around his hips and another across his legs, trying to keep a steady handle on him despite the massive furry paw gloves he’s wearing. He moves to catch up to the girls and start the trek back to the dorms.
“Eves, I hope you learned your lesson,” Jay teases, walking up beside her, trying to blow a loose saggy dog ear away from his face.
Evie just rolls her eyes, giggling a little at the sight of Carlos slung over Jay.
“Please, Jay. Don’t pretend like you’re not always asking me to make his clothes tighter,” she retorts, waving off Jay’s glare at her response. “Oh stop it, Carlos won’t remember a damn thing tomorrow anyway.”
“I know. And, I know what I told you about his clothes, but maybe not his party stuff? I don’t even know...like, the stuff he gets drunk in.”
He sighs, looking at the boy who’s somehow managed to pass out with his head hanging down. His face is flushed and red from blood flow, but snores are still escaping his lips.
“I just don’t want anyone touching what’s mine.”
Mal perks a brow at Jay and stops in her tracks. He watches her cautiously as she approaches, suddenly whipping out a hand and slapping Carlos’ ass, hard. The boy wakes with a yelp, squirming and forcing Jay to hold him back down.
Jay glares as Mal barks out a laugh, grabbing her shoulder and turning to shove her back at Evie.
“Stop it Mal, you know what I mean.”
Evie shakes her head disapprovingly at her girlfriend, grabbing her arm and pulling her close as they walk up the steps to the dorm. She pulls off Mal’s cat ears and gives an affectionate nuzzle to her head, prompting Mal to press into Evie and rub on her neck.
“Pup’s going to get an earful in the morning, I swear.” Jay mumbles as Evie helps with his door, opening it and allowing Jay in first. He walks quickly to Carlos’ bed and plops the boy down, pulling the stethoscope off his neck and allowing him to snuggle his face into his pillow as Jay pulls the blankets over him.
“I don’t know why I bring him out sometimes.”
Evie bends over to plant a kiss into Carlos’ curls, pulling off her own cat ears as she casts a disapproving glance at Jay.
“Because you’d be miserable without him, Jay. Your life is no fun without Carlos and you know it.”
He rolls his eyes at Evie, but Mal swats him on the back and scares a yelp out of him.
“You love being that boy’s hero, just admit it. Carlos’ knight in shining armor.” She twists to looks at him, pulling on his floppy dog ear and flipping it back in his face.
“Or shining dog fur, at least.” Mal chuckles.
Jay sighs, staring down at the boy cuddled in bed. He rips off the dog paws and unhooks his furry head and ears, dropping them to the ground and climbing on the bed over Carlos, settling himself under the covers behind him and pulling him close.
Carlos hums quietly and tilts his head towards Jay, rubbing his nose softly against Jay’s jaw, making him smile wide.
“You’re not wrong, pussy,” he says with a contented sigh. He keeps his eyes closed but smiles, feeling Mal’s own angered eyes boring into him.
“Now scram. My pup’s safe, and you have your other pussy to tend to, don’t you?”

I Really Hate Full Moons
Read on ao3 or continue down below. (and please let me know what y’all think! and please reblog as well!) Alec Lightwood is fast asleep, wrapped up his blankets feeling warm and content, or at least he was until, the curtains were pulled open and the bright morning sun shined right in his face, he groaned, burying his face into the pillow, trying to block out the sunlight. Right now he just wants to sleep.
But that goes out the window, when he felt a hand on his shoulder, shaking him lightly. "Alexander, pup, time to rise and face the day," Magnus's soft voice told him, Alec let out a low growl, opening one eye to see his fiance standing, there looking beautifully breathtaking, like he always does, even during the morning hours.
"Pup? Magnus, babe. I told you not to call me that," Alec reminded him, his voice is raspy with sleep, as he blinked the sleep out of his eyes.
Magnus chuckled with a smile on his face. "Can't help it, my love, you remind me of a puppy sometimes."
Alec hummed, finally getting a good look at Magnus, now that he was somewhat awake, seeing how he was fully dressed, no make up on, but he had his jewelry on though. "Fully dressed already. I see, huh?" He asked, sitting up
“Well, yes Alexander. I had to get up early to get your favorite breakfast for you," Magnus answered, Alec gave a look, and went to open his month before Magnus interrupted him. "Before you said it, no I didn't buy anything to cook for breakfast, not after what happened last time. I went down to our favorite bakery and got it," he let out a sigh of relief, that's good both he and Magnus were chaotic disasters in the kitchen, they nearly burnt down their kitchen the last time they cooked.
"That's really sweet, baby," he stated, smiling lovingly at Magnus, who returned it with one of his own.
"I thought so," Magnus said, Alec leaned forward closing his eyes, and he gets the hint and closed the distance between them with a kiss, Alec tries to make the kiss last longer, before Magnus pulled away, so Alec fell forward just a tad, and frowned at not getting his morning kisses. "Come on, you gotta eat, it's a big day today, the first full moon of the new year."
Oh shit, how could've he forgotten about the full moon tonight, and before you ask, the other reason why Magnus always calls him 'pup' sometimes other then being he reminds Magnus of a puppy sometimes and why the full moon is a big deal, is because he's a werewolf. Yes, a werewolf, they actually exist, and he had to find out the hard way by getting attacked, one night and everything changed, but Magnus, he stayed by his side, helping him with the changes, somehow making him fall more in love, even though that wasn't possible.
"Yep, big day today," Alec sighed, throwing back the covers, god he really hates full moons, so much.
After breakfast, the day seemed to pass by somewhat fast, Alec and Magnus stayed home, as they always do, during the full moon nights, watched mindless shows off of Netflix, until it was close to dinner time, to which Magnus ordered takeout from one of their favorite restaurants, and they ate together and talked about some of their wedding details, while the sun had began to set outside.
"You finished, my angel?" Magnus asked, as Alec stared down at his empty plate, looking very uncomfortably, a sign he was about to begin his change. Alec just nodded, biting on his lip. Magnus smiled softly, getting up from his chair, grabbing their plates, he stopped and gives Alec a kiss on the forehead before heading into the kitchen.
Magnus sets the dishes into the sink and stores what's left of their food into the fridge, so it wouldn't go bad, before turning back to the dishes in the sink. It's a few minutes before he felt Alec coming up behind him and embracing him, burying his face into his neck, he grinned at this, continuing with washing until Alec planted a kiss on his neck and he felt his fangs with the kiss, he knew then that it was close. Magnus turned off the water and twisted himself around to face Alec, who was feeling his fangs with his tongue. "Now, my love?"
Alec looked at him with those big doe eyes of his, which flash quickly to bright green than back to their normal hazel, nodding his head. "Yeah, baby," he replied, Magnus gives him a reassuring smile before taking his hand and leading him out of their kitchen.
"Let's go, pup," Magnus decided to tease his fiance again with the petname.
Alec rolled his eyes and growled a bit. "Enough with the "pup" name, Magnus." Who just giggled, tightening his grip on Alec's hand as he led them up the stairs.
When they reached the top of the stairs, Alec immediately stripped out of his clothes, not wanting to rip them when he shifted later on, just leaving himself standing his underwear, he breathed in deeply, feeling his body ache as the urge to change came on stronger and stronger, Magnus walked out of his work room, where he normally keeps the chains, holding them in his hands, he held out his hand, shaking his head at Magnus with those chains. "No wait here."
Magnus raised an eyebrow in confusion, watching Alec disappear off into another room, what the hell was he doing? It's not long before Alec comes back, this time with a different kind of chain, and he knew which one it was right off the bat, it was one that Alec had insisted on buying along time ago and Magnus really disliked the chains and liked to keep them hidden away, but somehow he just kept finding them. Alec handed the chains to him, and goes to sit down in front of the radiator, he stared down at the chains his hands, getting down onto his knees. "You sure about this, Alexander?"
"Yes, I'm sure, babe," Alec answered quickly, looking at his fiance, Magnus sighed heavily, giving in, as much as he hates these chains, because he knows it'll hurt Alec, when he changes, he can't change Alec's mind to use the normal chains, because Alec is that fucking stubborn.
"Okay, love," Magnus said, and gets to work with the chains, looping them around Alec, who grimaced at the sliver against his bare skin - sliver actually doesn't kill werewolves, like myths said, it's just really uncomfortable for them when they're about to shift, and when they shift, it hurts a lot, but it doesn't do anything when they're in human form - he hooks the chains to the radiator, making sure they're nicely secure, and sits back to look at Alec. "Do you need me to put down a pillow for you?"
"No, babe I'm fin-" Alec's sentence is cut short by an involuntary growl escaping him, his eyes flashing to green once again. Magnus smiled softly, placing a gentle hand on his face to kiss his forehead, then nose and finally lips, then getting up from the floor.
"Alright, angel, just let me know if you need anything," Magnus told him, Alec nods, his green eyes reflecting in the moonlight now as he watched Magnus, pick up the normal chains and head back down stairs.
Magnus dropped the chains on the floor by the staircase and walked over to the couch, he grabbed his book from the table and flopped down on the couch, flipping his book open to the page he had bookmarked, he hoped that reading would get his mind off of Alec chained up like a monster upstairs, he hated doing it, but Alec told him that it was for the best, that he'd be chained up, because he didn't want to take chances on hurting anyone or Magnus himself, a few times he was able to get Alec to test out full moon nights without being chained up, some of the nights were a success but the others? Not so much, it ended up with Alec disappearing and some wild animals ending up.. well dead. And so they went back doing this.
Within the next ten minutes of laying there, trying to keep his mind off of Alexander, Alec's howls and cries sounding more dog like then human and it sounded like there was pain mixed in with it. Magnus bit on his lip. "He said not to do anything, just let him be, Magnus, just let him be."
Going with Alec's wishes to be left alone and in pain, only lasts about about an hour and half, close to two hours, before Magnus just can't take it anymore, he tossed his book onto the table, and hops up from his spot, he made his way back up the stairs, Alec is snarling and whining at the same time when Magnus laid his eyes on him now, that he's shifted, his green eyes glowing in the dark hallway, Alec saw him out of the corner of his eye and turned to him and growled loudly, tugging his chains.
Magnus walked over to the radiator and sat down in front Alec, who snarled again. "Alexander, just be quiet, the snarling is gonna get you nowhere." And Alec immediately stopped and gives him the wide eyes, the same wide eyes that Magnus loves so much and never can say no to, he sighed and moved closer to him, reaching out to cup Alec's furry face with his hand.
Alec tried to move closer to him, but whined loudly at the chains against his skin, Magnus looked down at Alec's arm and sees the irritated skin trying to heal from the chains but it didn't no good when the chains went right back to rubbing the irritated skin, his heart stopped for a minute staring at the skin, "Alexander," he said, Alec whined again, and he lifted his head up to connect with Alec's pained but, stern eyes, telling yes he's in pain, but leave him like this, but he couldn't do that. "Alexander, no, we need to change these now, I don't want you hurting, love. Please let me change them."
Alec stared at him, trying to stay stern with it, but hearing the pleading tone in Magnus' voice and seeing it in his eyes, he can't help but to give in, and also he really did needed get out of these chains because he was in some amount of pain. He nodded his head, and Magnus smiled softly, and made quick work on getting the chains off, he let out what was supposed to be a sigh but just sounded like a snort, at the chains being off of him.
"Now, angel I'll be right back, with the old chains, don't move," Magnus kissed his nose before hurrying down the stairs to grab the chains, he had left there earlier, just as he picked up the chains, Magnus hears a howl followed by a loud crash, his eyes widened and he forgets the chains to run back up the stairs, hoping that maybe there was some other werewolf in their neighborhood that broke loose. But alas it wasn't, Magnus is greeted with an empty hallway, with a broken window, glass everywhere and no Alec, he sighed, knowing this might happen, normally Alec could resist the urge to look at the moon, but sometimes as Alec told him one time after shifting it's hard to resist, because the moon is calling out to you.
Magnus pinned a large blanket up to the broken window, he already knew where Alec was most likely heading to, the forest, that wasn't too far from their neighborhood, he had went there in the past when he got loose, so that's probably where he was at, after that he throws on a jacket, shoes and headed out the door.
He had hoped to not run into anyone, but as it would seem fate wasn't on his side tonight, because his and Alec's next door neighbor and close friend, Helen Blackthorn, was taking out the trash, when she noticed him. "Hey Magnus," she greeted with a smile, Magnus stopped and turned to her. "Whatcha doing out tonight, normally you stay in, when it's a full moon."
Magnus chuckled nervously. "Well, yeah I usually do, but um, my dog got out again," yep that's the cover story he came up with one time Helen or her wife who takes out the trash from time to time as well, asked where he was going when the first time Alec got loose, and he's used it ever since whenever, Alec has gotten loose and, he ran into Helen or her wife, Aline.
"Again, Magnus? Haven't you and Alec heard, something wild has been killing pets and other wild animals lately, they've been putting out traps to capture or kill it," Helen explained, well fuck, he hasn't heard that, first he knows it isn't Alec, since he's been chained up the past two months during the full moons. He needs to find Alec now.
"I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me, Helen."
"Anytime, so good luck on finding him, maybe you and Alec should look into getting a cat, best thing Aline and I ever did. Artemis wonders off every night, but she always comes home."
Magnus nodded, not having time for this anymore, knowing Alec could end up in one of the traps that had been set up, either hurt or even worse dead. "Well I am gonna go find him then, see you later Helen!" He waved her off, and makes a run towards the forest, he heard Helen calling out to him, but couldn't understand what she said.
When he entered the forest, immediately seeing the prints in the ground, tells him that Alec had most definitely came this way, so he followed the prints and the breaks in branches as well. Magnus makes sure, that he's watching where he's going in the forest, he really doesn't need to get caught in one of those traps, Helen told him about.
"Alexander! Alexander, where are you!?" Magnus shouted, crossing his arms, trying to keep himself warm from the cold ass wind, for a second he heard nothing before a long howl came not to far away from where he was walking to, so he followed where the howl had come from, and comes across a long hill down, he bit his lip and slowly made his way down, he can't misstep and fall down the hill, break any of his bones or worse his neck.
Magnus can hear growls and grunts as he neared the end of the hill, but couldn't see anything yet, until he stopped and sees a figure, who he already knows is Alec with his head bent down and something in his mouth, son of a bitc- Alec did not just do what he think he did, and Alec can sense he's being watched turned around and looked up at Magnus, with a quite big coyote, hanging out of his mouth. "Oh my god, really, Alexander?"
Alec watched him with big green eyes filled with, well Magnus couldn't tell, as he jumped down from the hill. "I don't need you to hunt for me, Alexander, we've food, love. I know the wolf in you insists on doing this, but you gotta tell that wolf that we've food at home and you take care of me." Magnus reminded, Alec dropped the coyote from his mouth and pouted, keeping eyes on his fiance.
"And now we gotta replace another window, because the wolf in you wanted to kill things for me," Alec followed Magnus's movements as he walked closer to him and as soon as Magnus' foot came close to a patch of tall grass, he saw something very shiny, Alec's mind immediately jumped to protect Magnus, from what he knew was a trap. Magnus wasn't paying attention, still talking about something when he lifted up his foot to step into the tall grass, Alec let out a loud growl.
Startled, Magnus locked eyes with Alec, who broke off into a run towards him, he didn't have the time to react before Alec jumped onto him, knocking him on the ground hard, but in the progress of being knocked onto the ground, he heard a snap! and than a loud howl coming from Alec, he sat up quickly, to see Alec in pain, whining loudly as he tried to move his foot which was stuck in a... bear trap. He must've seen the bear trap in the grass when he got close to it, and he pushed him out of the way, to save him.
He protected me, he saved me. He thought to himself, as Alec howled in pain again, breaking him away from his thoughts, Magnus crawled across the ground to get to Alec, reaching his love, he went right to work on getting him free from the trap, Alec watches him with a soft but pained look on his face, it was hard but with most of his strength he opened the bear trap and freed Alec's foot.
Alec was right up after Magnus released his foot, his hands or paws were checking for any signs of injuries on Magnus from pushing him onto the ground, "Alexander, angel I am fine, you didn't hurt me, you saved me, love. You saved me," Magnus tells him, cupping Alec's face and kissing his nose, before pulling him into a tight hug.
Alec doesn't return the hug for a moment, shocked by the quick hug, but then he melted into Magnus' embrace, wrapping his arms around him and closing his eyes. And they stay like this for awhile, until Alec moved his foot and a bit of pain shot up his entire leg, he whined, pulling away from Magnus, some to look down at his foot.
And Magnus finally was able to get a real good look at Alec's foot, there was blood all over the top of his foot, but through the blood, he could see the holes in his foot, from the bear trap, they were trying to heal, but since the holes were really deep, it was taking a bit longer, then it usually does. "Oh, angel, come on, let's get you home and clean up your wound," Alec nodded and gave him a smile, and Magnus couldn't help but to giggle at him, with those wide eyes and fangs poking out of the smile. He's so adorable.
It takes them awhile to get back home, having to be careful with sneaking Alec back into the neighborhood, they didn't need to get noticed by some nosy old woman calling the police on them, and with Alec's injury, he's much slower with walking. But when they do, they head straight up the stairs, and Magnus disappeared off into the bathroom to grab the first-aid kit while Alec laid down on their bed, keeping his injured, bleeding foot off of the sheets. Alec leaned up a bit, when he saw the lights in the bathroom turn off, and Magnus exited out, holding the first-aid kit and a towel. "Let's get your foot cleaned up, my love." With that, he begins to clean off the blood, Alec winced at this but didn't make a single noise, once that was done, Magnus could finally see how bad it was, well it did look worse with the blood but now with it cleaned off, it didn't look as bad, but still was bad. Magnus opened up the kit and takes out the cream that helps keep the wounds clean. "Alexander, this might sting," he warns, squeezing some of the cream onto his hand, Alec nodded, and Magnus took this as his go-head to use the cream, he rubbed the cream into the wounds, Alec doesn't jerk or howl, but he does grit his teeth, but that's about it. "Okay, last is the bandages then, you're good, angel," Magnus said, bringing out the bandages, Alec doesn't say anything, just watches with a lovestruck soft smile on his face as Magnus wrapped up his foot up with the bandages. "And we're done, does it feel better?" he lifted his head up to see Alec, looking so adorable, with his fangs peaking out of the smile, he has, and his eyes are shining with so much love, and he's pretty sure that the injury does feel a bit better, Magnus grinned, standing up and leaned forward to cup Alec's face and plant a kiss on his nose. "I love you." Alec replied with like a growlish noise, that sounded like he was trying to say "I love you too," and he pouted, when it didn't come out how he wanted it to, Magnus snickered, kissing his nose again. "Be right back," with he picked up the kit and headed back into the bathroom, as Alec got more comfortable on the bed, the energy from the wolf inside him was fading off fast, so he was feeling tired and achy from hell, and the bed curved along his body, helping those achy muscles, it's not long before his eyes start to feel heavy and Alec can't fight the urge to close his eyes anymore, he closed them and began to drift off. Magnus came out of the bathroom, about two minutes later, to see Alec on his side, breathing almost evenly, which was a sign he was close to falling asleep, during the times when Alec got loose because of losing control with his wolf, after he'd find Alec and bring him back in control, Alec'd tell him or actually growl at him, to chain him back up, but there'd be a few times where Alec would be too tired out from running around in the woods for a few minutes, hunting or being free and just give up and go to sleep, in bed, like right now, a tiny smile spreads across his face, as he stripped off his clothes from today and grabbed a pair of sleep pants, put them on and slid into his spot on the bed, immediately he feels Alec move closer and wrapped his arm, to which he chuckled softly at. Only after a few of laying there, in Alec's embrace, he felt his body relax and his eyelids beginning to droop on him, so Magnus closed his eyes and soon he falls fast asleep, in Alec's hold.
When Alec awoke in the morning, he felt a lot better then he did the night before, he felt more at content, because his wolf wasn't restless anymore, his foot felt ten times better, but mainly the reason why he was more at content because he woke up with Magnus in his arms, so he could get the morning cuddles he missed out on yesterday. He smiled and buried his face into Magnus' neck, planting a kiss there on his neck, snuggling closer to him. And Magnus stirred at this, letting out a small moan, slowly waking up, Alec decides to attack his neck with kisses, to help him wake up, it takes a minute before Magnus reacts to the kisses on his neck, by wiggling and and giggling softly at Alec's lips on his skin. "Go-good morning, Alexander," Magnus manged to get out in between his giggles. Alec smiled into his neck, and replied. "Good morning, baby." Magnus grinned, as well, his eyes still closed. "Feeling better, my love?" "Yeah, so much better, so much," Alec answered, nuzzling into Magnus' neck.
"Mmh, I'm glad to hear that, angel," he hummed, cuddling closer to Alec, feeling the love they have for each other in this moment. They laid there for a while, just doing nothing but holding onto each other, until Alec let go of Magnus and started to move onto his back. "Maybe I should go down to our bakery for breakfast," Alec said, stretching out his foot and winced at the pain that shot through his leg, nowhere near as bad as it was last night, but still it hurt. Magnus rolled over onto his other side, now he can see Alec, he rested his head on Alec's shoulder and threw his arm across Alec's waist to keep him from getting out of bed. "Alexander, love, just shut up, it's early, we were up half of the night, let's just lay here and sleep for a bit longer, okay?" For a second Alec doesn't say anything, but then he kisses Magnus' head and softly said. "Okay, baby, okay."

Marichat May 6
Video
Alya was ecstatic, of course. Within an hour of the video going viral, she’d already coined the term “Marichat” as their celebrity couple name.
Adrien kept blushing for some reason, whenever somebody brought the video up. But he laughed as loud as anybody when they all started joking about it.
Nino was strangely quiet about the matter, occasionally shooting his best friend worried glances.
Chloe, of course, was convinced it was a fake. “It has to be Marinette trying to gain attention by associating herself with a superhero! Why, when my best friend Ladybug finds out about all this, she’ll give that upstart baker girl exactly what she deserves!!”
Marinette, for her part, simply wanted to hide in the girls’ bathroom for the rest of forever. Sadly, her bestie wouldn’t let her.
“M, come on! You’ve gotta come out! Class is about to start!”
“Fine….”
“Oh, and I want an interview about what exactly happened, girl!”
“Alya….”
“No, don’t you go back in that stall, Princess Marinette!”
It wasn’t until she locked herself in her room that she managed to get a moment’s peace, and she promptly collapsed on her chaise lounge.
“Oh, it’s not so bad, Marinette,” Tikki crooned. Then the kwami gave a sudden gasp and disappeared.
Marinette groaned as she heard a thump above her and her hatch opened. She listened to the sounds of Chat coming into her room, but the fact that he hadn’t immediately greeted her in his usual cheerful way said a lot. She finally turned her head to see him.
He was just standing there, watching her, and twiddling his thumbs, looking like a kicked kitten.
“Sooo,” he began, biting his lip, “about earlier….”
“I haven’t gone on social media in over an hour,” Marinette grumbled, “because the last time I did, I got hundreds of messages saying I wasn’t good enough for you, that you belonged to Ladybug, blah de blah de blah. Two people even called me a furry.”
Chat covered his laugh with a very-unbelievable cough.
“On the upside,” she continued, rolling over to lay on her back, “my class wouldn’t talk about anything else today, so I was saved from getting roasted for falling on top of Adrien again, my best friend is on Cloud 9, my parents are somehow selling more wedding cakes than ever, I’m told our engagement party is going to be fabulous, and I managed to piss Chloe off with little-to-no effort. So, yay.”
“Little-to-no-effort?” Chat laughed.
“You were the one doing all the running,” Marinette pointed out.
“We were being chased by an akuma! What was I supposed to do??”
“Apparently pick me up and carry me, princess-style, while half of Paris recorded it on their phones,” she sighed.
“Yeah, why was Alya’s the one that went viral again?” he asked, grinning at her and whistling innocently.
Marinette scowled. “Because she was the one who recorded that hand kiss you gave me once you put me down, telling me to ‘stay safe, princess!’ right before the akuma shot you again.”
Chat laughed. “To be honest, I think it was more the fact that, when I got hit, you picked me up to go hide me from the akuma until I recovered!”
“That... might’ve been part of it,” she acknowledged, throwing an arm over her eyes to hide from the world.
End.

Week 51. Coming Home
This is just a continuation of the previous story. The man, previously unnamed, comes home. The door swung open in front of him, the keys still hanging from the lock. Eli stood for a moment on the door mat, his suitcase next to him. It didn’t feel like his home anymore. Without her, it felt hollow somehow. He shook his head, shaking loose those kinds of thoughts. She’d left him. She’d ran away. Somehow, he kept forgetting that. It didn’t stop him missing her though. He lifted his suitcase and stepped across the threshold. He was alone and yet there was an air of anticipation in the hallway, like the pictures on the walls were watching and waiting for something to happen. He wished he knew what they were waiting for. This should have been when he carried her through the door as husband and wife. He turned back to the open door and saw the curtains twitch in the house across the street. Eli stepped forward and close the door. With the door closed, the weight of the room seemed to increase, to press down on him as he stood. Had this been a few days ago, he may have started crying. It was still taking a great deal of strength not to break down again, but he fought against the urge. He looked to his left, to the pile of unwrapped presents that was waiting for the happy couple. He turned and walked into the dining room, looking up at all the items and wondering what he would have to do with all of them. Surely he wouldn’t be able to keep them. They all reminded him of her in some small way. Mostly because he’d opened them with her. Some of them had been added to the wedding list by her. Those would definitely have to go. Especially those hideous ornamental frogs. They were already sitting next to their little fireplace. He stood for a while, just letting his eyes scan over the different items: the crockery and cutlery, the slow cooker and rice cooker and the towels and the rolling pin set to name just a few. Why they needed a set of rolling pins, he would never know. He walked back out to the hallway, taking a moment to glance at the picture of them on their first holiday together. They’d “gone skiing” and spent most of the time in their chalet drinking hot chocolate and reading by the fire. She’d managed to catch a moment when they’d actually been out on the slopes, when they’d both fallen and couldn’t stop laughing. Rosy cheeks and snow crusted furry hats. Good times. Why couldn’t it have stayed that way? Something bubbled up in him. Eli reached up and ripped the picture off the wall, hurling it across the hallway. It smashed against the opposite wall, showering down in pieces of wood and glass. Eli stood panting, smiling for what felt like the first time in weeks. He stared down at the shards of their happy memory, and felt a rush unlike anything he’d felt before. He thought about grabbing another but he fought against that urge. He went to the kitchen and grabbed the brush and pan. He may have been hurting but that didn’t mean he had to be messy about it. As he went back into the hall to tidy up the glass and wood, the doorbell rang. He left the pan and brush next to the debris and answered the door. It was the first time he had been filled with dread when opening the door. He’d expected some simpering sympathiser but it wasn’t. Joe the postman handed him a parcel. ‘A late one from the looks of it, Eli.’ ‘Thanks.’ Eli wasn’t sure if Joe hadn’t heard what had happened or if he was just being very task oriented. As he watched the postman rifled through the envelopes and find the right ones, he guessed it was a combination of the two. ‘There ya go.’ Joe stood on the front step smiling, with a few envelopes in his hand. Joe smiled more than most people Eli knew. Eli envied him. ‘Thanks again, Joe.’ Eli took the envelopes and was about the close the door. Joe nodded at the suitcase in the hall. ‘You ain’t long back, eh?’ ‘Nope.’ Eli watched as Joe slowly realised where Eli had been and remembered why he wasn’t supposed to mention it. The postman’s smile slipped off his face and his eyes got wider. ‘Ah… I’m so sorry.’ Joe moved down from the step. ‘I forgot all about…’ He gestured vaguely, swatting the end of the sentence away before he could do any more damage. Eli shrugged. ‘It’s alright Joe. You’re a busy man.’ ‘I feel so bad.’ Joe moved from foot to foot like he was in desperate need of the toilet. ‘I’m so sorry.’ Eli leaned against the door and shook his head. ‘You’re kind of making it worse by apologising over and over again.’ Joe fidgeted with the strap of his postal bag and stared down at his feet, slowly backing away. ‘You’re right… I gotta go and… uh, deliver these.’ He turned and jogged down the path. Usually he would wave once he stepped out the garden gate, but he didn’t even look back at the house. Eli watched him go before closing the door and returning to the glass and wood on the floor. He swept it up carefully, making doubly sure that there were no slivers of glass left behind. He picked up the photo and stared at it again. It had been scraped by the broken glass, a long thin scratch down the middle of them, splitting the picture in two. Joe’s visit had left the anger to simmer and die down. Now he was left cold and alone, staring at a picture that just made him miss her more. She may have left but there was still a part of him that hoped she would come back. But what if she did? What if she appeared at the door? What would he do? He slipped the picture into his back trouser pocket and stood up with the fragments of frame all held on the pan in his hand. He walked to the kitchen and slid the pan’s contents into the bin. He stood at the marble topped island and pressed his palms into the cold stone. Through the window, the garden- once their garden- was coated in golden sunlight. The gazebo stood at the far end of the lawn, gleaming white with hands on its hips, watching the house with disapproval. Eli hung his head and sucked in a lung of air. He pulled the picture from his pocket and looked at it again. ‘Where did you go?’ He stared at her eyes, at the laughing crow’s feet, at the way she wrinkled her nose when she was laughing hard and the old ache he had tried to push down rushed back up. He folded the photo at the scratch so he was only looking at her. Like when they’d first met. The ache sat in his stomach and made him feel so heavy. He set the picture on the counter top and walked back out to his suitcase. He was reaching for the handle when the doorbell rang again. As he walked, he couldn’t help wondering if it was Joe back to apologise some more. He chuckled as he opened the door. He stopped when he saw who it was. David was frowning, like he usually did. He looked nothing like his sister. ‘Hello, Eli.’ Eli’s mouth was suddenly very dry and a chuckle was caught in his throat. ‘H-hi, David.’ David stood with his hands shoved deep into his pockets. He didn’t want to be there, but he’d been sent. ‘I’m here to, uh, get some of Christina’s stuff.’ ‘Get her stuff?’ Eli pushed the door back. ‘Do you know where she is?’ David shrugged. ‘I’m just here to get some of her things.’ ‘You do know.’ Eli stepped over the jamb and grabbed David’s shoulders. ‘Tell me where she is.’ ‘She doesn’t want to see you, Eli.’ David brushed off Eli’s hands and pushed him towards the door. ‘I want to talk to her.’ Eli said, watching his brother-in-law climb the stairs to the bedrooms. David stopped midway up the stairs and turned. ‘She doesn’t want to talk to you.’ Eli clutched his stomach as the hurting tried to kick its way out. ‘Did she even say why she left me?’ David turned away and shook his head. ‘Not my place to say.’ Eli stayed in the hall, clutching his stomach and feeling his head start to swim again. He could hear David upstairs, pulling out drawers and moving around what was supposed to be their room. Still holding his midriff, Eli got his suitcase and brought it upstairs. David hadn’t made as much of a mess as it had sounded like. He’d managed to find a shoulder bag and was filling it up. Eli walked into the room and laid his suitcase on his side of the bed. ‘How is she?’ David paused and looked up at him. ‘She’s fine.’ ‘Good... I was worried about her.’ David stood with some of Christina’s t-shirts in his hands. ‘I didn’t really come here to talk.’ ‘Yeah I know.’ Eli unzipped the top flap, hesitating with a hand hovering over the contents. ‘I’m sorry that we didn’t get on better.’ David nodded. ‘You’re alright, Eli. But you did decide to marry my little sister.’ Eli lifted out his used clothes and threw them in a heap on the floor. ‘Yeah, well, that turned out well, didn’t it?’ David snorted, before glancing up at Eli. Eli still felt the ache lying down in his intestines as he continued to empty his bag. Zipping the bag shut, David slid the strap onto his shoulder and stepped back from the bed. ‘For what it’s worth, I’m sorry.’ Eli stepped around the bed. ‘Thanks.’ They walked together down to the front door and David turned when he stepped outside. ‘I might be back for more. I’m not really sure what’s going to happen next.’ Eli nodded, slumped against the door for support. ‘That’ll do. I guess I’ll see you then. David turned to walk down the path and Eli was about to close the door when he heard David hiss loudly at someone. ‘I thought you were staying in the car… what do you mean you changed your mind? You can’t just- ‘ Eli clutched the door a little harder as Christina slipped past her brother and started to walk towards him. She stared down at the path and somehow looked smaller than Eli could remember. She stepped up onto the front step and lifted her eyes to meet his. The eye contact punched him in the heart. All words emptied out of his head and he stood with his mouth open, gazing at her. Like when they’d first met. She swallowed and took a little step forward. ‘Hi,’ she said. The word whirled around in Eli’s head, making him dizzy. ‘Hi.’ She took another little step forward. ‘Can we talk?’ All the events of the past few days were about to crash over him again, alone in Paris, finding her note on the empty bed, the tears and the pity and the aching that was still very much there. He held them back as best as he could, still holding onto the door for fear that the floor might disappear. ‘Yeah.’ He stepped back to let her in. ‘I think we need to.’
