Apple sets October 13 ‘Hi, Speed’ event for iPhone 12 debut

The “speed,” refers to the new iPhone 12 models, which are expected to supports 5G.  Analysts expect Apple to release four new models in the iPhone 12 lineup, all with 5G.  The new iPhones are expected to have 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch screens on the entry-level side, with the Pro models coming in with a 6.1-inch and a 6.7-inch display. Pakistan bans TikTok over ‘indecent’ videos
Pakistan is the latest country to ban the controversial video-sharing app TikTok. The country’s telecom regulator has banned the app, claiming TikTok failed to remove “immoral” and “indecent” content on its video-sharing platform. TikTok had been installed over 43 million times in Pakistan, as per the analytics firm Sensor Tower.  Last month, Pakistan banned several popular dating apps, including Tinder and Grindr, in an aim to restrict “immoral” and “indecent” content. TikTok, owned by Chinese tech company ByteDance, is already banned in India.

Amazon promises deep discounts on various products in popular categories including electronics, home appliances, and accessories. Google Pixel 4a coming to India next week
At last, the Pixel 4a is finally coming to India. Earlier this week, Google announced that its budget-friendly Pixel 4a will launch on October 16. The Pixel 4a is priced at Rs 29,999 and that price makes a lot of sense. By selling the Pixel 4a at Rs 29,999, Google manages to undercut rivals including Apple with the latest budget smartphone. Analysts say the pricing of the Pixel 4a was definitely a surprise. Many experts believe that the Pixel 4a’s Rs 29,999 price could put some pressure on mid-range smartphones from Samsung, OnePlus and Vivo.

OnePlus 7
OnePlus 7 is undoubtedly a great smartphone. Equipped with a Snapdragon 855, up to 8 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of non-expandable memory and a 6.41-inch OLED in FHD +. Sounds good.
OnePlus 7: Everything in it
Tumblr media
In the white-red packaging from the manufacturer, you can still find a red USB Type-C cable, a charger with 30 watts and various instructions, an opener for the SIM-card slot and a clear case of high quality next to the smartphone. Headphones or an adapter from 3.5 jack to USB Type-C can not be found, unfortunately. OnePlus would like to sell its own USB headphones.
OnePlus 7 Design: same procedure as every year?
Tumblr media
At first glance, OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 7 are very similar. The front side is again occupied by the almost borderless display. The screen offers - unlike the OnePlus 7 Pro - a Notch for the 16-megapixel front camera. The back is also made of frosted glass and does not look as shiny as the "big" brother. At the time of the test, unfortunately, there was only the color "Mirror Gray", in China and India it is also available in red and soon even in " Mirror Blue ". With dimensions of 157.7 mm x 74.8 mm x 8.2 mm, it is significantly smaller than the OnePlus 7 Pro (162.6 × 75.9 × 8.8mm). The dimensions are more similar to those of the OnePlus 6T. Also, the weight of 182 grams is similar (high). In the arrangement of the keys, nothing has changed. On the right side you will find an on / off switch and the Alert Slider, with the help of which I can easily put my OnePlus 7 into a "Do Not Disturb" mode. On the left side of the frame is the volume button. The bottom is taken up by the USB Type C input based on USB 3.1 as well as one of the two speakers. However, a headphone jack with 3.5 mm is not available and the case is also not IP6X certified. The manufacturer has nevertheless installed protective rubber seals on the openings. It is supposed to endure a rain shower. The processing of the OnePlus 7 is without blemish, visually but rather uniformity.
OnePlus 7: technical details
OnePlus (consciously) no longer calls its new smartphone a "flagship killer". Technically, it is still up to date and can easily compete with the competition. But not more. In addition to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with Adreno 640 GPU, UFS 3.0 flash memory (128/256 gigabytes) and 6/8 GB of memory (LPDDR4X-RAM) is the 7er only a dual camera with 48 & 5 megapixels with OIS to Commitment. In summary, this means: Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 (1x 2.84 GHz, Cryo + 3x 2.42 GHz, Cryo + 4x 1.80 GHz, Kyro)RAM: 6 GB - 8 GBBuilt-in memory: 128 or 256 GBDisplay: 6.41 inches AMOLED with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and 60 HzInterfaces: LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, NFC, GPS (GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo), USB Type-C, Dual nanoSIMBattery: 3,700 mAhCamera resolution: 16 MP - Selfie camera (aperture f / 2.0), 48 (aperture F / 1.7) + 5 MPVideos: 4K (up to 60 fps), Full HD 1080p (up to 240 fps)
OnePlus 7: 6,41 inch AMOLED display
Tumblr media
The 6.41-inch, almost borderless AMOLED display of the OnePlus 7 dissolves in FHD + (1,080 x 2,340 pixels).  The display supports the playback of different color profiles (sRGB, display P3) and offers me numerous options for color calibration. Everyone should find their individual attitude. The color representation and also the contrast are of very high quality. This also applies to the maximum brightness. Overall, the screen of the OnePlus 7 makes a good impression on me. Incidentally, the panel is protected by 2.5D Corning® Gorilla® Glass. Of course, the manufacturer has again thought of a reading mode with reduced blue, a night mode with lower brightness and a "video enhancer" for stronger colors when watching movies.
OnePlus 7 and the two cameras
Tumblr media
Well, purely arithmetically, the OnePlus 7 yes three cameras: In addition to the 48-megapixel sensor (Sony's IMX586, aperture f / 1.7) with optical and electronic image stabilization can be found on the back of a telephoto zoom camera with 5 megapixels and a diaphragm f / 2.4. Which is responsible for the double zoom. The notch on the front hides the front camera with a resolution of 16 megapixels. In terms of image quality, the main camera delivers good quality. In daylight, the colors look natural, contrast and details are right.  The software-generated bokeh effect works well, but it can not tear me from the famous stool. The OnePlus 7 records videos in 4K at up to 60 frames per second. In contrast to the Huawei P30 Pro, I can convince both the video and the sound quality here.  A timelapse and slow-motion mode (in Full HD with 240 fps and in HD with 480 fps) complete my good impression. Although the 16-megapixel front camera does not have an optical image stabilizer, it still takes good pictures. The sometimes very artificial beauty mode with the possibility for facial and body optimization is available for free.
OxygenOS 9: Very fast, very clean
The OxygenOS is definitely one of the fastest and slimmest user interfaces on the market. Visually, it is strongly based on Google's Stock Android, but also offers a few personalization options and a dark fashion. The built-in Zen mode, a kind of digital wellbeing, is activated manually via the quick settings, or automatically after continuous use of two hours.  If you use it then (is, of course, voluntary), the smartphone is locked for 20 minutes. Now I can only make emergency calls, accept calls and use the camera. The mode can not even be deactivated by a smartphone restart. New is also a screen recorder, with the help of which I can record the content of my screen in Full HD resolution inclusive audio.
Connectivity, battery, performance: Everything at its finest
Tumblr media
The OnePlus 7 offers LTE after Cat. 16 and supports Wi-Fi in all available standards. Likewise, Bluetooth 5, GPS and NFC are on board. Instead of an extension via MicroSD, you get "only" support for dual-SIM. The smartphone comes so with two Nano-SIM cards at the same time (also by LTE) clearly.  The transmission and reception performance was at a good level, as there were no significant problems. The call quality was great. The two speakers sound not overly loud, for one or the other song about Spotify and Co. or the conversations with the loved ones, but the sound is more than adequate, also thanks to Dolby Atmos ®, The built into the display glass fingerprint sensor responded quickly and reliably in the test.  Also Read - Samsung Launches Galaxy Fold in September If you like it even faster, use the built-in 2D face recognition. The 3,700-milliamp-hour battery of the 7 Pro is comparable in terms of runtime with the Huawei p30 Pro. In normal use, I come with a battery charge easily throughout the day. One and a half days is also no problem.  But I did not make it for two whole days. The wireless charging is not possible, but I can inflate the battery over the in-house Warp Charge solution with up to 30 watts. I reach 50 percent battery capacity in less than 20 minutes without the device noticeably warming up. There are no surprises in the performance thanks to the Snapdragon 855, 6 GB of RAM and a fast GPU. In the current Geekbench 4, the SoC gets 3,527 points in the single-core and 11,154 in the multi-core.

2019 New Phones: Top 5 upcoming smartphones for January 2019
Most interesting phones of the month
Tumblr media
2019 looks like it's going to be an exciting year for the smartphone industry. Brands like Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi et al are developing their flagship devices, and we'll be getting several launches over the course of the year. That being said, a number of brands will be launching devices in January itself, so here's our list of the five we're most looking forward to. Honor View 20
Tumblr media
Already launched in China (as the Honor V20), the Honor View 20 will be launched globally on January 22. It's the brand's first smartphone to feature an in-display hole for the front camera. This camera has a single 25MP sensor, while the dual rear camera has one 48MP primary sensor, along with a secondary Time of Flight sensor. The View 20 sports a 6.4-inch All-View display, and is powered by the company's Kirin 980 processor, with 6GB/8GB of RAM, and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. The device packs a 4000mAh non-removable battery. The 6GB/128GB variant is priced at 2999 Yuan (about Rs 30,000), while the 8GB/128GB model is priced at 3499 Yuan (approximately Rs 35,000) Honor View 20 release date, price, news, and features Huawei Y9 (2019)
Tumblr media
Huawei's Y9 (2019) smartphone will be officially launched in India on January 7, at an event in New Delhi. The device was first showcased in China back in October. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
The Y9 sports a 6.5-inch FullView 3D curved display, and under the hood is the company's own Kirin 710 processor, paired with 3GB/6GB RAM, along with 64GB of internal storage. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo, with Huawei's EMUI 8.2 skin on top. The device packs a 4000mAh non-removable battery. On both, the front and back are a dual camera setup. The LG V40 ThinQ is finally here, and it’s one feature-packed smartphone.
The star of the show is the V40’s triple rear-camera setup, featuring one standard lens, one ultra wide-angle lens, and one telephoto lens. You can choose to take a photo with one of these lenses, or use all three at the same time if you want to choose the best one after the fact. The cameras may not be Galaxy Note 9 level, but they are good.
The V40 is also a phone for audiophiles. It comes with the same Boombox feature that launched with the LG G7, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack and Quad DAC.
Rounding out the feature set is support for wireless charging, an IP68 water- and dust-resistance rating, and support for Quick Charge 4.0. Basically I’m saying this is an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink phone.

Week 19 in review: Poco F2 Pro, Pixel 4a hotly anticipated
Xiaomi’s anticipated revival of the Poco brand kicked off through the Poco F2 Pro promo campaign this week. The phone will be based on the Redmi K30 Pro, which means a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with no notch, a Snapdragon 865 chipset (without 5G in some markets), 6/128GB and 8/256GB variants and a price between €600-€650 in Europe and around INR 47,000 in India.
The Poco F2 Pro will make its official appearance on May 12 at an event in Madrid. Xiaomi is reportedly also working on a Poco M2 Pro, which is a midrange device based around the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
Google’s Pixel 4a made the rounds this week. First it got handled on video and we got a load of camera samples from the phone. Then Google’s Rick Osterloh shared a screenshot, likely taken on the Google Pixel 4a. The entry-level Pixel will become official on May 22.
Lenovo’s Legion gaming phone was shown in imagesfor the first time this week. Its dual cameras are located in the center of its rear panel, hinting that Lenovo wants you to use the phone in landscape most of the time. The Legion will reportedly feature bonkers 90W charging and unseen cooling.
Sony released the Xperia 10 II in Taiwan and the one of the first buyers posted the first camera samples from the phone’s proper triple camera – 12MP regular, 8MP 2x tele and 8MP ultrawide.
Huawei is preparing a P30 Pro New Edition with Google Services. The news came from Germany, but sadly doesn’t offer up any additional information, outside of the name of the phone and the fact that it indeed exists.
The LG Velvet went on pre-order in South Korea. The phone is priced at KRW 899,800 (around $735) and will start shipping on May 15.
Those were the key stories of the week. See you next one!
He revealed the Pixel 4a’s punch-hole camera through screenshot.
We finally have a release date after all those leaks.
This phone will be essentially a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro and the teasers confirm it.
The main cameras are in the middle of the back, the selfie shooter pops up from the side.
The phone will launch in Taiwan on May 20. European prices were also revealed, but not the shipping date.
The Surface Book 3 can now be configured with powerful Nvidia GPUs.
The RMX2072 posted a 600,000+ score and may be a gaming phone. It is allegedly related to the two X3 phones that leaked recently.
The 8MP selfie camera gets a dual  LED flash, which is fairly rare. Quad LEDs on the back are rare as well.
The Pixel 4a’s single camera was put through its paces, including testing out its zooming capabilities and bokeh rendering.
The moniker appeared in Germany, so it’s likely targeting Europe.
The affordable phone is now listed at Huawei Jordan.
Nothing left to be revealed.
It’s rumored to go official sometime in Q3 2020.
The price tag is set at KRW899,800, and the market launch date is May 15.
The phones are three years old now. For comparison, Samsung ended support for their predecessors, the S7 series, last month.
The phone will have all four colors the Redmi K30 Pro was introduced in – Purple, White, Blue, Gray.
It seems to be a phone that’s closely related to the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
Mint Green and Berry Blue are join the existing White and Black paint jobs.

Huawei P40 Pro vs Huawei P40 vs Huawei P40 Pro+: What's the Difference?
New Post has been published on https://magzoso.com/tech/huawei-p40-pro-vs-huawei-p40-vs-huawei-p40-pro-whats-the-difference/
Huawei P40 Pro vs Huawei P40 vs Huawei P40 Pro+: What's the Difference?
Tumblr media
Huawei announced its P40 series on Thursday, March 26, in an online-only event. The trio of phones includes the Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro, and the Huawei P40 Pro+. Each of the phones has some similarities like the octa-core Kirin 990 5G chipset and some differences like the number of rear cameras. The P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ models have more in common with each other than the non-Pro variant so, let’s put the three phones against each other and see what exactly is different.
As seen with the Huawei Mate 30 series last year, the Huawei P40 series comes without any Google software, thanks to the US trade blacklisting. This means no Google Search, no Google Play Store, and no Google Mobile Services. With the Huawei P40 series phones sold in France, Germany, and Italy, Huawei will install a European search engine called Qwant. A new search assistant called ‘Celia’ is also being used that is expected to rely on Qwant’s search results in Europe. The Google Play Store has been replaced by Huawei’s own AppGallery.
Huawei P40 Pro vs Huawei P40 vs Huawei P40 Pro+: Price, availability
The Huawei P40 Pro will be offered in a single 8GB + 256GB model that is priced at EUR 999 (roughly Rs. 82,900). The Huawei P40 also comes in a single RAM and storage configuration, 8GB + 128GB, which is priced at EUR 799 (roughly Rs. 66,300). Both phones come in three glossy colour variants – Black, Deep Sea Blue, and Ice White, as well as two matte variants – Blush Gold and Silver Frost – and will go on sale starting April 7.
The Huawei P40 Pro+, on the other hand, comes in an 8GB + 512GB model that is priced at EUR 1,399 (roughly Rs. 1,16,000). It does not follow the same colour scheme as the other two phones and will be released in Black Ceramic and White Ceramic when it goes on sale later in June.
Huawei P40 Pro vs Huawei P40 vs Huawei P40 Pro+: Specifications
All three new Huawei P40 phones support dual-SIM (Nano) connectivity and run Android 10 with Huawei’s EMUI 10.1 on top. There is no support for Google apps on all three phones. The Huawei P40 Pro has a 6.58-inch (1,200×2,640 pixels) OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, which is the same for the Huawei P40 Pro+. The Huawei P40 has a slightly smaller 6.1-inch (1,080×2,340 pixels) OLED panel with a slower 60Hz refresh rate. All three phones also pack the octa-core Kirin 990 5G SoC, the Mali-G76 MC16 GPU, and 8GB of RAM.
Coming to the optics, this is where the major differences are. The Huawei P40 Pro packs a quad rear camera setup with the primary shooter being a 50-megapixel Ultra Vision camera with f/1.9 aperture and OIS. The secondary is a 40-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/1.8 lens. The third is 12-megapixel telephoto f/3.4 lens with SuperSensing and OIS. The fourth and final is a 3D depth sensing camera. For selfies, you get a 32-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture as well as a depth sensor. The Huawei P40 retains the 50-megapixel Ultra Vision camera but removes OIS. The secondary camera has a 16-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens. The third is an 8-megapixel telephoto f/2.4 lens with OIS. On the front is a 32-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and an infrared (IR) sensor.
The Huawei P40 Pro+ steps it up with a penta rear camera setup. The primary and secondary cameras are the same as the Huawei P40 Pro. The third is an 8-megapixel f/4.4 SuperZoom camera with 10X optical zoom and OIS. The fourth is an 8-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom and OIS. And finally, the fifth is a 3D depth sensing camera. The selfie camera configuration is also the same as the Huawei P40 Pro.
Coming to storage, the Huawei P40 Pro includes 256GB, the Huawei P40 has 128GB, and the Huawei P40 Pro+ will come with 512GB. Storage on the Huawei P40 Pro and the Huawei P40 can be expanded via Huawei’s Nano Memory 2 card but the Huawei P40 Pro+ does not have that feature.
The Huawei P40-series phone are 5G and Wi-Fi 6 compatible, and offer other connectivity options like Bluetooth5.1, USB Type-C charging port, no headphone jack, and NFC. In terms of battery, the Huawei P40 Pro has 4,200mAh with support for 40W charging and 27W wireless charging. The Huawei P40 has a smaller 3,800mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging with no wireless charging support. The Huawei P40 Pro+ has the same capacity and charging speed as the Huawei P40 Pro but supports a maximum of 40W wireless charging.
Talking about the dimensions of the three phones, the Huawei P40 Pro comes in at 158.2×72.6×8.9mm and weighs 209 grams. The Huawei P40 is slightly smaller and lighter at 148.9×71.06×8.5mm and weighs 175 grams. The Huawei P40 Pro+, on the other hand, is slightly thicker and heavier than the Huawei P40 Pro at 158.2×72.6×9.0mm and 226 grams. You get IP68 rating with the P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ while the P40 gets an IP53 rating.

via Today Bharat Oppo Reno3 Pro review: Here's how the new Oppo Reno3 Pro faired in our review. Rs. 29,990 Oppo, Oppo Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro review, Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro specs, Oppo Reno3 Pro specifications, Oppo Reno3 Pro impressions, Should I buy Oppo Reno3 Pro Letrsquo;s take a look if the Oppo Reno3 Pro is able to hold its own in this lack-lustre design. The Reno series from Oppo has been one of the most unique smartphone designs in recent times with its shark-fin pop-up selfie camera, ceramic dot and more. However, the Reno3 Pro takes a different route and looks like a generic smartphone that you can currently get from any other smartphone manufacturer. The Oppo Reno series has taken a nose-dive in terms of specifications with every iteration. However, with the new version, the price has also been reduced. The Reno3 Pro takes it to another level, by providing the consumers with a plastic body and a pill-shaped hole-punch camera. Letrsquo;s take a look if the hardware is able to hold its own in this lack-lustre design. Oppo Reno3 Pro specifications: 6.4-inch Super AMOLED full HD+ display | MediaTek Helio P95 processor | 8GB RAM | 128GB/256GB storage | 64MP main camera + 13MP telephoto + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP black and white | 44MP + 2MP selfie camera | 4,025mAh battery with 30W fast charging | ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 Oppo Reno3 Pro price in India: Rs 29,990 for 128GB storage and Rs 32,990 for 256GB storage Oppo Reno3 Pro review: DesignConsidering that the Reno series has always looked a bit unique, the Reno3 Pro is a huge let-down. It looks quite similar to the companyrsquo;s recently launched Oppo F15, especially in the White colour variant. Oppo, Oppo Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro review, Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro specs, Oppo Reno3 Pro specifications, Oppo Reno3 Pro impressions, Should I buy Oppo Reno3 Pro Due to the plastic body and the removal of the pop-up selfie camera mechanism, the phone feels quite light. All Reno phones till date have sported a glass and metal body with a pop-up selfie camera, which makes them look unique and feel premium. However, the Reno3 Pro is a far cry from that. The company has opted to use a plastic body. The shark-fin pop-up selfie camera mechanism of the Reno and Reno2 has been removed in favour of a hole-punch cut-out. Due to the plastic body and the removal of the pop-up selfie camera mechanism, the phone feels quite light. However, the plastic body makes the phone feel cheap and not worthy of a Pro badging. During my usage, I scuffed the back accidentally while the phone was in my pocket, which just shows the plastic back is not that good. In terms of ports, the device comes with a USB Type-C port along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the back it sports a quad-camera setup in a rectangular shaped raised camera module located on the top left. On the front, it features a dual camera cut-out on the top left corner. Overall, the device feels like a normal smartphone that you can purchase from any other brand. Oppo Reno3 Pro review: DisplayThe device features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Which is similar to the display of the companyrsquo;s own F15 smartphone. The only difference is the cut-out display as the F15 comes with a water drop notch design display. Oppo, Oppo Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro review, Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro specs, Oppo Reno3 Pro specifications, Oppo Reno3 Pro impressions, Should I buy Oppo Reno3 Pro Oppo has been cutting some of the specs on the Reno series devices. The tall 20:9 aspect ratio makes the viewing content easy and the display is quite vivid and bright. The display is easily viewable under direct sunlight. The text looks sharp and is easily readable in any scenario. The cut-out is quite big and takes a chunk out of the videos you are trying to watch or the games you are trying to play. Oppo Reno3 Pro review: PerformanceAlong with the price, Oppo has been cutting some of the specs on the Reno series devices. The Reno3 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio P95 processor which is mostly seen on mid-range devices. However, for a device that costs nearly Rs 30,000, it does not make that much sense. The device heavily disappoints in the performance department and starts lagging when you put even the slightest bit of pressure on it. I loaded the device with a number of apps and while multi-tasking, I could see the device sweating to keep up. Oppo, Oppo Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro review, Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro specs, Oppo Reno3 Pro specifications, Oppo Reno3 Pro impressions, Should I buy Oppo Reno3 Pro The device is able to handle gaming in Medium settings well. However, other devices available at lower prices perform better. While playing games on it like PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty: Mobile and Asphalt 9: Legends in high graphics settings, I experienced major lag and saw multiple stuttering in the games. The device as of now does not support HDR of high FPS HDR mode. When you try to toggle it will show that support for the device is coming soon. Even the details in high graphics do not show that well. The device is able to handle gaming in Medium settings well. However, other devices available at lower prices perform better. One point to note is that the device while gaming heats up quite fast. nbsp; A thing that I liked about it is its fingerprint sensor performance. The devicersquo;s in-display fingerprint sensor is quite fast and accurate making me not miss a capacitive fingerprint sensor like I usually do while testing phones with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Oppo Reno3 Pro review: SoftwareThe device runs ColorOS 7 based on Android 10, it is also the first device from the company to launch with this skin out of the box. ColorOS 7 comes with a design overhaul bringing in various optimisations and reducing visual fatigue. The company has also removed the animated looking heavily customised icons and introduced new animations that look much better and smoother. The camera app has also seen a makeover with it being much more intuitive. Oppo, Oppo Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro review, Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro specs, Oppo Reno3 Pro specifications, Oppo Reno3 Pro impressions, Should I buy Oppo Reno3 Pro Overall, I find the arrival of ColorOS 7 as a welcomed addition to the Oppo Reno3 Pro.ColorOS7 brings in the Dark Mode feature that was introduced by Google in Android 10. However, adding to that, the company allows users to schedule Dark Mode to turn on and off at particular times. This is a nifty feature, helping users to have a routine set for their smartphones. Overall, I find the arrival of ColorOS 7 as a welcomed addition to the Oppo Reno3 Pro. It still might need some tweaks for me to like using it. But the company has made huge strides in terms of the user interface from its last ColorOS 6.1.2 iteration. Oppo Reno3 Pro review: BatteryOppo, Oppo Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro review, Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro specs, Oppo Reno3 Pro specifications, Oppo Reno3 Pro impressions, Should I buy Oppo Reno3 Pro In terms of ports, the device comes with a USB Type-C port along with a 3.5mm headphone jack.Oppo Reno3 Pro comes with a 4,025mAh battery, which manages to provide an average battery life of over a day and a half with extensive use. My usual day consisted of playing games, checking my mail and social media, clicking a few photos and navigating my way around when required. The device comes with support for the companyrsquo;s own 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology. With this the device was able to get a full charge from the in-box charger within an hour. Oppo Reno3 Pro review: CamerasOppo Reno3 Pro comes with a quad camera setup consisting of a 16MP primary sensor that utilises pixel-binning to achieve high-resolution images. The 13MP telephoto lens features an f/2.4 aperture, the 8MP ultra wide angle sensor has a 119.9-degree field of view and lastly, the 2MP sensor is a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor that helps in adding a bokeh effect to the photos clicked. The images I took from the back camera in good lighting conditions looked good. They had good dynamic range and colours were realistic. A bit of noise does creep in, in areas with continuous colour like the sky. The ultra-wide angle sensor is also able to capture good images in good lighting conditions. The images have a good amount of dynamic range and the colours look natural. However, the amount of detail is a bit lower than the primary sensor. Overall the images taken from the back cameras come out quite good and you can post them on your social media platforms without the need for much editing. Shifting to the Night mode does not help much as it adds a lot of artificial light into the images, making them look overexposed and having a softer tone in general. The details are also lost while clicking images in this mode. At Rs 29,990 there are many smartphones from other manufacturers that offer better build quality and specifications. Considering that the device is made out of plastic and the processor does not stand up pretty well under pressure, I would not be able to recommend this smartphone. Another point is that at this time, you can get a smartphone with at least a 90Hz display around Rs 30,000, which will have much better smoothness than that of the Reno3 Pro. I would say with this, Oppo might just have dropped the ball.

Hey guys so the xiaomi redmi note 9 pro has been certified in China. Chinese Ministry of Industry and information has certified the new model number m203 j15 SC /e. they also certified the MI 10 which is a flagship 5g smartphone. This listing showcase Xiaomi note 9 pro as a 4G smartphone. So in terms of design liquor from China say Xiaomi is working on a smartphone with redmi branding it is having a center punch hole design which is the latest trend right now Samsung A51 and A71 and also the Galaxy Note 10 central punctual design.
App Behavior Record. Xiaomi New Security Update
In my opinion it looks more symmetrical and I think that's the reason why Xiaomi is going for such design disappointing part is it is still having the LCD panel which is of course not great in comparison to Super AMOLED ones and Xiaomi often use LCD even the redmi note 8 pro comes with LCD. So it's no shocker they are going with the same technology but with different design. Instead of a notch they are choosing the whole yeah they'll save the Super AMOLED for the flagships and will use LCD in the budget line up the sleeker. Also says the upcoming red my smartphone may support 33W of fast charging the noted pro gets 18W so that's a huge jump in my opinion but realme with their hoop charging is just nailing it down. So Xiaomi have to do something and the note name Pro may get it done he has also posted the blurry rear panel of upcoming red. my smartphone this doesn't show case much however it reveals that it is coming with roundish camera module like Nokia and Motorola on the back panel they showcased triple cameras on back with LED flash. He says the primary shooter is of 64 mega pixel that means Xiaomi is likely using Sony's 64 megapixel shooter I don't think they'll use the Samsung's cause they're already in the redmi note 8 pro. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Review
Tumblr media
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 full review If you're looking for a sub-£200 Android phone with a decent-size screen, good battery life and usable all-round performance and features, this could be it. Very similar to the Mi Max 3, but with a smaller 5.99in display, the Redmi Note 5 is a worthy upgrade over the Note 4 with improved performance, photography and design.
Since we originally wrote this review Xiaomi has entered the UK smartphone market, making it much easier to obtain its smartphones here. The Redmi Note 5 is now available from the likes of Amazon for £229.
A special Cyber Monday deal knocks a further £69 off the price, with the Redmi Note 5 available for just £159.99. (See more Cyber Monday deals.)
Previously we've had to import review samples from China, and this Redmi Note 5 was supplied by GearBest, where current pricing is £182.39. When there's no Cyber Monday sale on at Amazon this makes it the cheaper deal, but know that when importing from China to the UK you are liable for import duty, charged at 20 percent of the value printed on the shipping paperwork.
This is the Global version of the Redmi Note 5, which comes with all Google services preinstalled along with MIUI 9. It supports all 4G LTE bands used in the UK, too, which can be a problem with some Chinese handsets.

When is a Redmi Note 5 not a Redmi Note 5? Xiaomi's phone naming scheme can be incredibly confusing if you're not familiar with it, but we think more so with the Redmi Note 5 than any other. That's because the Redmi Note 5 that launched in China and is sold globally is not the same phone as the Redmi Note 5 that launched in India.
The Redmi Note 5 available in India has a single-lens camera at the rear and some lower-spec hardware, including the Snapdragon 625 processor. It has the new 18:9 5.99in display, but in other respects is not a huge departure from the Redmi Note 4. And that explains why some reviews of the Redmi Note 5 are less complimentary than others.
Also available in India is the Redmi Note 5 Pro, and that's (almost) the phone you see here rebranded as the Redmi Note 5. It has a dual-lens camera at the rear and runs the Snapdragon 636.
But in India the Pro also has a 20Mp selfie camera and up to 6GB of RAM, while this Global version's front camera is rated at 13Mp and has either 3- or 4GB of memory.

If you're worried about purchasing the wrong version of the phone then fear not - we couldn't even find the Indian models for sale in the UK. But we'd recommend double-checking the spec before you buy. Better yet, just click this link.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 What's new in Redmi Note 5? There are some key design changes in the Redmi Note 5 over its predecessor, but also a return to the Redmi Note 3's part plastic build - the antenna lines at the rear of the Note 4 have been replaced with plastic end caps - and 4000mAh battery, which is still pretty generous, but 100mAh down on Redmi Note 4.
More impressive is the new 5.99in Full-HD+ IPS display, not only larger than the 5.5in previous example but also taller, adopting the 18:9 aspect ratio that has become fashionable in today's market. It helps the phone look more on-trend, and also allows for a larger screen without infringing on usability - the Note 5 is only 7mm taller than its predecessor, and fractionally narrower and slimmer.
The phone's chin has also been reduced, with navigational buttons now appearing onscreen. And an update to MIUI 10 is available, which gives you the option to use swipe gestures to go home or back, removing these buttons from the display.

There are some tweaks found along the edges, too. While the Redmi Note 5 still features a mono speaker, it no longer attempts to hide this fact with a set of drilled holes lying either side of its Micro-USB port. Instead you'll find just one, and on the other side the headphone jack has moved down from its previous position at the top of the device.
The rear-mounted fingerprint sensor has not moved, but where the single-lens camera previously sat above it Xiaomi has now added a second lens and moved this to a new position at top-left. It did lie flush; now it juts out a tad.
And naturally there have been hardware changes, which result in a boost to performance. Gone is the deca-core Helio X20 chip with Mali T880 graphics, and in comes the Snapdragon 636 with Adreno 509. There's a new 4GB RAM, 64GB storage model, too (that's what we're reviewing here).
Redmi Note 5 Design & Build Despite the aforementioned sprinkling of plastic parts, Redmi Note 5 is a very good-looking phone at this price. Moreover, it feels sturdy, and very well-made.
The new screen and taller aspect ratio is a blessing for usability, and though it's still a bit of a stretch for your thumb to reach the top corner it is operable in a single hand - especially when you take advantage of one-handed mode, which shrinks the display area.
It's an IPS panel, which bodes well for quality, with realistic colours and good viewing angles. We can't find any official reference to the Note 5 using Gorilla Glass protection, but thanks to a metal rear it is only the one side of this smartphone you need to keep safe. You'll also find a silicone case in the box, which is handy.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 We measured the maximum screen brightness at 427cd/m2, which is very good for a sub-£200 phone. Being able to ramp up the brightness so high also makes the screen easier to see outdoors.
The display has a full-HD+ resolution of 2160x1080, which results in a pixel density of 403ppi. It's sufficiently clear, and also no higher in resolution than even Xiaomi's flagship phones.
We're disappointed to see an old Micro-USB port at the bottom, especially given that it won't charge any faster than at 10W. There is a charger supplied in the box, but it has a two-pin EU plug, so if you're purchasing this phone in the UK you'll need to supply your own adaptor.
Naturally at this price there's no support for wireless charging, which has so far been seen only on the Mi Mix 2S.
On the up side, Xiaomi has retained the IR blaster on the Note 5's top edge. It's incredibly rare to find such a feature in phones these days.
There's also the fingerprint scanner at the rear, which works well - but if you're interested in mobile payments be aware there's no support for NFC.
Connectivity is otherwise pretty good, with dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and GLONASS, and a hybrid SIM slot that can either accept a single SIM and a microSD card for storage expansion or two SIMs that work in dual-standby mode.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Redmi Note 5 Hardware & Performance Powering the show here is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chip clocked at 1.8GHz, with integrated Adreno 509 graphics. It's paired with 4GB of memory.
That's the same setup as in the Mi Max 3, and as you'll see in our chart below performance is on par.
As we said for that phone, the Redmi Note 5 is not a speed demon. However, it offers usable performance for most users for daily tasks, and we didn't spot any sign of lag when navigating the interface and launching apps.
You can play casual games and watch movies, provided you don't throw anything too intensive at it.
Battery life is very good, and you'll easily get at least a full day's life from the 4000mAh cell - maybe more, depending on your usage.
In Geekbench 4's battery test it scored 5390 points, and kept churning through its task list for 8 hours 59 minutes.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Redmi Note 5 Cameras & Photography It might sound like a similar setup as found on the Mi Max 3, but the Redmi Note 5's camera is inferior with no AI mode. It also maxes out at 1080p video recording.
Still, it's an improvement on the Redmi Note 4's 13Mp rear camera and 5Mp selfie camera. This new model has a 12Mp + 5Mp dual-lens camera at the rear, with dual phase-detection dual-focus and 1.4um pixels. At the front is a 13Mp selfie camera.
Aside from the missing AI button at the top, the camera app looks the same as on any other Xiaomi phone, with options to turn on/off/auto the flash and HDR mode, and to select real-time filters. At the bottom you swipe between video (and short video), photo, portrait, square, panorama and manual shooting modes.
Portrait mode is what's used to create those funky blurred background shots that help your subject to stand out, aided by the second camera lens.
Overall we were very impressed with the quality of our test shots (below in Auto and HDR modes). Those pictured below appear a little dark, though it was an overcast day when they were shot. They show plenty of detail but are perhaps a little over-sharpened.

Redmi Note 5 HDR In low-light the Redmi Note 5 did a fantastic job. There is some noise but overall blacks are well rendered, text is largely fuzz-free, and the scene is adequately lit without requiring aid from the flash.
Redmi Note 5 Low Light
Redmi Note 5 Software The Redmi Note 5 runs MIUI 9 out of the box but an upgrade is available to MIUI 10. This is still based on Android Oreo rather than the more recent Android Pie (which will be coming in time), but includes some nice new features such as full-display gesture support, a redesigned quick access panel and volume controls, plus the addition of Picture in Picture and Autofill.
It won't be immediately recognisable as Android if you've not picked up a Xiaomi phone before, and the lack of an app tray means the shortcuts all spill out over the home screens (but can be tidied into folders). The Settings menu also looks completely different, and there are some Xiaomi-specific apps here too.
Because this is the Global ROM version of the Redmi Note 5 it is preinstalled with Google services; were you to buy the Chinese ROM version you would need to install these yourself from the Mi App Store. That's because Google services are not used in China.
Other things we like about MIUI include the aforementioned One-handed mode, plus Second Space and Dual Apps.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5
Redmi Note 5 Verdict It's not infallible, but the Redmi Note 5 is a great all-rounder and will be hard to beat under £200. It benefits from a very good and well-sized screen, and has a decent camera and usable performance.
