#Good LORDY this is gonna be SOOOOOOO JUICY!!!

Okay! Here comes a big brain post where I wanna vomit out a few thoughts I have regarding Reverb’s character card and MSA lore up until this point. 

My friend here has posted a few interesting points regarding some known characters and a new one we have still yet to see.  I want to bounce some ideas and just some general ideas I’ve been thinking of since last night. 

1. Solo and Duet 

Both are very well-known musical terms. SOLO apparently seems to be doing some kind of research in the Tempo region, and has taken interest in Reverb because of skillsets. Something I want to point out is the names here. Solo means “done by one person, unaccompanied” and yet they may either be employing Reverb or potentially hired them for their studies. Could SOLO just be using Reverb for her own purposes? It’s entirely possible. 

Now with Duet, the meaning is focused on “two performers” instead of one. If we go off the assumption and theory that there’s a possible organization around Tempo using these names (I really think these could be code names within said organization), then I think Duet MAY ACTUALLY have a second partner with them. Could they have separated from SOLO or betrayed the organization for some reason? It’s another possibility. I think there is some kind of relationship going on with those two. 

We don’t know A LOT about Duet just yet, but I can bet you if we run off the ‘suspicious organization’ theory it does put some things into perspective. I’m actually wondering if Chloe could be their ‘second partner’. I know she resembles Reverb in A LOT OF WAYS! She wears green, the green that matches the smoke and color in the cave, not to mention she has those tiny bat wings on her hoodie. But....I think it’s a bit TOO obvious here! We know well the Mystery Masters love making things obscure and letting the fandom use their super sleuth skills to figure things out. Putting all of that on Chloe? I think she may KNOW a bit more about Duet but isn’t the big culprit. 

We get here that Chloe is still young, possibly younger than Vivi so I want to assume the girl is around 18 or so. Possibly still a minor since Vivi doesn’t want her on investigations because “she’s not old enough.” 

Now the second half COULD suggest Chloe may be a spy for said organization? I know that possibility popped into my head. She may know OF the organization, but then how comes she doesn’t have a code name like Duet or Solo? It could have been Trip or Quartet. 

Bottom line with this jumble of words: I believe Solo and Duet are DEFINITELY connected in some way, because no other characters in the series have a confirmed musical term as a name (that’s if you don’t want to count the Deadbeats). 

2. Lewis’ Past 

This is something that’s got me REEEEALLY considering Mystery wasn’t the initial target for SOLO’s research. 

Lewis was adopted by the Pepper family. They just found him one night on their doorstep, injured and half conscious with no explanation as to what happened. They couldn’t find any leads on his whereabouts or how he got there. We see in Reverb’s character card that SOLO’s research is centered around a classified topic. 

So what if Lewis was a part of this ‘supposed research?’ What if SOLO was doing something with Lewis, he escaped from SOLO’s clasp, and wound up at the Pepper’s house? 

Something that Tristan mentioned in his post is about the Deadbeats in those bottles. MysteryBen did make some art a while back to promo the ‘One of Us’ album release which featured a half ghost-half human Lewis holding one of his Deadbeats in a bottle.  Is it possible there’s more of a connection with those Deadbeats and Lewis? If Lewis was a part of SOLO’s research, then did those Deadbeats come from SOLO’s studies as well? The Deadbeats have always been linked with Lewis, stored in his heart locket and doing whatever he asks of them.
