The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Apprentice. The ideal candidate will be working as the central point of contact for all IT related incidents and service requests covering hardware and software. The role of IT Technician is to provide first and second line support for all staff, including third party management and IT procurement. It's a dynamic and varied role with the opportunity to gain valuable experience and knowledge in all forms of IT.
This role will be based at the Mytime Active Head Office in Bromley, Kent with travel required to Mytime Active's Bromley and London Region sites. We are a Regional business, where some of our sites are difficult to access without a car; it will be advantageous for those who have access to a car or driving licence holders with use of a car for work.
This is a great time to join us as we go through a period of establishing our in-house IT Team and grow the wider business. We are proud to say our most recent apprentice is still employed in a new role within the business and whilst on the scheme evolved to be directly responsible for IT Administration of Office 365, Active Directory, in addition to 2nd line break-fix of POS environments including receipt printers, PDQ's and touch-screen monitors. It's safe to say that our apprenticeship scheme enables individuals to expand their knowledge, their prospects and move on up in the business.

Responsibilities
Working with employees to identify computer problems and advising on the solution
Logging and keeping Support and service request records using Service Desk software
Analysing call logs so you can spot common trends and underlying problems
Updating self-help documents so customers/employees can try to fix problems themselves
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
Supporting, giving direction and training of staff on new systems or software applications
Recording problems and their solutions for future reference.
To assist the Service Delivery Manager in implementing ITIL processes and procedures
Good understanding of PC hardware and software set-up and configuration and TCP/IP networking skills
Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically
Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
Knowledge and Skills required:
MS networking and desk configuration and maintenance.
1st and 2nd line support within the IT environment
Configuring and installing windows 7,8.1 and 10 OS
Knowledge of office 365 portal
Knowledge of Active Directory - new user creation / account administration, etc.
Knowledge of servers etc. Files, Print and Terminal
Ensuring that high levels of customer service are adopted at all times
Proven problem-solving skills and organisational skills
Good time management and the ability to work to deadlines
A great listener with an ability to focus on customers' wants and needs
The ability to communicate openly - professionally and positively
Passionate, enthusiastic, outgoing personality with the ability to service colleagues and customers and create a positive referral business
Qualifications:
GCSE Maths and English Grade C and above, or equivalent qualification - essential
Microsoft MOS or MTA IT or CompTIA - desirable
