"Pfft, you goof~! Why am I not surprised to see you in line?" He snorted. Ears fluttering as he scooped his best friend into his arms, spinning them both around in circles. Intent to get the blonde to smile and laugh with silly behavior!

Never ashamed or shy when it came to affection around his favorite people, and not one to keep someone waiting, he leaned in to fulfill that kiss~. Only to end up planting one right against Hunter's lips.

The huntress paused in her reading for the night. Closing the book, she slowly rose from her seat to glance over at her son. "Here, let me make us some special tea. It will help ease things so you can rest without nightmares. I go through them to some nights and you need the rest, Hunter."

A simple suggestion, and one she was going to follow through with. She had a minor craving for some of the tea herself since managing to get her own place to dwell in. After all, she couldn't trouble her friend Lilith with housing her forever.

Finding a pot and filling it with water, Fang allowed a hand to hold to the bottom while summoning fire to her palm to quickly heat the water to the right temperature.

Telling Hunter with that statement that he considered him his family and Caleb would always protect his family. He did it once before in the past when protecting his late wife and their unborn child from phillip and he would repeat that same act when protecting hunter and the kids from belos. He stopped being family to Caleb when he had tried to hurt him and his loved ones and that made him a threat that needed to be dealt with immediately. Caleb wasn't sure if the draining spell could be stopped now but he did know that the kids needed to get out of here to safety, seeing the door behind the monster that now loomed over them. "Now kids listen to me very carefully, I'm going to keep Belos attention on me. As I am doing so you make a run for the door to the human realm and i'll be right behind you alright? getting you to safety right now has become the main priority and I am not going to give this thing a chance to try and hurt any of you, not on my watch." Once the plan had been spoken Caleb was already going for an offensive, using ice glyphs and fire magic to draw Belos attention away from the kids so that they could make a run for the door with minimal issues.

"Long enough," Blackfire responded smugly, even though she had pretty much only just arrived and wasn't even sure what he was so worried about to ask that.

"Luckily for you, I'm convinceable to keep things to myself." If it wasn't something like that that she was claiming to have seen here, well, she would find out by his reaction - but it was always fun to play the blackmailer.

“What, this rusty tincan?”  Instinctively his metal fingers flex into a makeshift fist as he generally felt the teenager poke at his metal prosthetic with an air of curiosity.  Arthur didn’t seem too offended from the way he offers the guard a light smile, he more or less seemed like he expected to be asked this sooner or later into their slowly building companionship.  “This arm was made a few years ago when I lost half of my arm to uh... Well, it was lost to an accident with a... chainsaw, as you can see.”

He gives the other a slight shrug as he spoke.  “I had to make it if I was going to keep working in the tech industry.  In my world, its slightly rougher getting a job if you don’t have two working hands for it.  Heh..”

  “You know, that is something I have considered since having left the coven. It does not seem quite so...fitting anymore, for either of us. I have to say it is still only that - a consideration. Branwen was difficult enough to paint the first time around, they REALLY do not like it. We will have to discuss it further - it is a decision for the both of us to make, not just myself.”

  They heard the word ‘paint.’

"Ehhhhh, bout 2hrs now?" He replied sheepishly from his desk. "You looked exhausted, but not like,, hurt or anything. I didn't wanna wake you. Rose eyebrow was twitching she was irritated and annoyed how the council decided to send her off to some magical school was beyond her but she’d have to stick it out at least she got her choice of track and that was awesome, although her professor was a bit of an odd duck. “The food made her stomach churn and she wasn’t really hungry except all she wanted was some fruit to calm her nerves before class started for the day.”

“But.. Did you really have to start screaming at me to get up at five AM though?”  Says an extremely tired Arthur, who’s just now starting to sit up in the old cot Hunter’s Uncle ‘generally’ gave him.  The old and worn blanket he’s been forced to keep himself warm falls to his lap.  The mechanic rubs at an eye to try and brush off his exhaustion.

“Your Uncle was uh.. kinda keen on keeping me to this room, I think.”  He mutters aloud.  “Didn’t he say something about me being a guest, or am I stuck with you today?”

"Hunzy!!" He squealed, getting excited and scooping his best friend up in a tight hug, spinning the blonde around. Just getting to see the busy bee alone made this an amazing birthday~.

After a moment, he set him down again and brushed off his fancier than usual outfit, since he'd finished dressing for their birthday party tonight. Perhaps his friend could stay? If not, he'd have to save him some cake for sure~.

"Awwwe, really? You didn't have to do all that! I'm just glad to see you!!" Though Hunter had certainly caught his curiosity.
