Day 3: Agra Early morning train to Agra. Visit the magical Taj Mahal before exploring Agra fort, built in 1565 the citadel consists of marble palaces, ornate alcoves and terrace pavilions. Overnight at the delightful Coral Tree Homestay. (B)
Day 4: Fatehpur Sikri • Ramathra Morning drive to the deserted red sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri, known for its array of forts, palaces and mosques. Day 6: Ranthambore National Park Drive to Ranthambore National Park, one of the prime examples of Project Tiger's conservation efforts in Rajasthan. The park covers an area of 400 square kilometres and was once the private hunting grounds of the maharajas of Jaipur. Two nights at Swai Vilas. (B)
Day 7: Ranthambore National Park Wildlife drives in the early morning and late afternoon in search of the elusive Bengal tiger. Although well known for its tiger population, Ranthambore is also home to sambars, panthers, marsh crocodiles, sloth bears and leopards, as well as being a bird watcher's paradise. (B)
Day 8: Bundi Take a further morning wildlife drive before travelling to the picturesque town of Bundi, once the capital of a major princely state during the heyday of the Rajputs. Stay 2 nights at Bundi Vilas, a 300-year-old Haveli. (B)
Day 9: Bundi Today explore Taragarh fort, exotic stepwells and the traditional murals of Bundi Palace. Taragarh fort was built in 1342 and is reached following a steep 20-minute climb. One of the highlights of the fort is the Chitra Shala, a courtyard with a gallery running around a garden of fountains, with a splendid collection of miniatures showing scenes from the Radha Krishna story. Day 10: Bhainsrorgarh Travel to Bhainsrorgarh and stay 2 nights at Bhainsrorgarh Fort Hotel. Bhainsrorgarh is an excellent place to explore rural Rajasthan, particularly the surrounding villages and the Baroli Temples. (B)
Day 11: Bhainsrorgarh Day at leisure to explore Bhainsrorgarh. Take a boat ride to the river island, hike to the ninth-century Badoli temples or take a sunset jeep safari. (B)
Day 12: Chittorgarh • Udaipur Visit one of Rajasthan’s lesser-visited gems, Chittorgarh fort, en route to Udaipur for a 2-night stay at the lakeside Fateh Prakash. Chittorgarh Fort stands high on a hill, and houses what used to be one of the oldest cities in Rajasthan until 1568 when the city moved to its current position outside the fort walls. (B)
Day 13: Udaipur Explore the sights including the City Palace and stunning Lake Pichola. The City Palace is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, comprising many buildings added at different times by various maharajas. (B)
Day 14: Fly home Transfer to the airport for your next destination flight. (B)
