Godzilla vs Kong 2021 Film Online Revision
For all these years I thought Godzilla was my bro but then I watch this new trailer andhe's smashing cities up You're embarrassing me,
I told them we werefriends. The new GVK Teaser is completely breakingthe internet right now and Titan Level Trailer has one big question hanging over it. Whyis Godzilla destroying the cities and is he really the one doing it?Will the real godzilla please stand up? Well throughout this video we're gonna bebreaking it all down and going over our thoughts and theories on what's really going on.There will be heavy spoilers here as we'll be discussing some of the leaks but nothingbeyond what you could learn from the trailer if you were looking closely enough. If thisis your first time here then welcome to the show, I'm your host Paul the Mega G when it comes to breakdowns, now let's discuss what's really going on.Ok so the premise of Godzilla Vs Kong online makes it seem like the Towering Titan has had enoughof Fish and Ships and he's decided to move his attention to land.
Monarch are stumped, fan boys are outraged and absolutely no one knows why the jollygreen giant had decided to turn on the people that love and adore him. It's seoul crushing, and I don't mean that he stepped on the capital of South Korea...eventhough it looks like he may have.
Clearly something else is going on and fromthe trailers it looks like humanity has decided to take Kong in order to stand a chance againstthe atomic breath breathing bohemoth. But what if it's all one big misunderstandingand the king of the monsters is actually being framed for what we see him doing?Well if you go over the trailer with a fine tooth comb you'll notice that there are twodistinct moments that confirm that Mechagodzilla is indeed in the movie. After the initialattack that opens things up you can clearly see his classic metallic shape moving overthe the citizens that we see hurtling down the stairs faster than I clicked the trailervideo when I got the notification from Warner Bros.In another part of the first look we can see the character Ren Serizawa standing infrontof a control panel with a dinstinct metallic titan shape with the systems reading at Maximumcharge.
Ren is actually the son of Ishiro played byKen Watanabe in the prior movies and it's clear that he's inherited his father's understandingof the Titans and has managed to craft his own.The place that we see him is clearly a Mechagodzilla control room and this signifies to me thathe is definitely being used by the humans. Now if you've been keeping up to date withthe plot synposiseseses that have been released for the film you'll know that recently therewas one released that said the terrorist group Apex were looking to find a way to wipe allthe Titans out in one fell swoop. Apex themselves are rumored to have builtthe beast through Ren who has used the brain of the severed ghidorah head from King Of The Monsters and the gigantic titan skeleton from the 2014 Godzilla film.Though he appears in a very small way in the trailer he's clearly gonna be laced throughoutthe film and this is even shown in the logos which have a distinct blue electricity flowingthrowing them. Now because of his dad it's difficult to tellwhether
Ren is gonna be good or a bad guy but if Tobey Maguire has told me one thingit's that people with that haircut are rotten to the core. However I do think that he mayhave been tricked by Apex who would've been like "I knew your dad...in away...after Itried to kill him several times." Now though we know little about Apex, apparentlythey are trying to lure Kong and Godzilla out into the open so that they can have thepair fight against one another and then when the winner is weakened they simply send Mechagodzillain to finish them off. Not finish them off like that you dirty badboy. This technique is something that we saw Spectredemonstrate with the Siamese Fighting Fish in From Russia With Love and it's commonlya tactic used in most VS movies where the two opposing sides team up to take out thegreater evil. So it definitely is a possibility that Mechagodzillacould be the one carrying out the attacks on the cities in order to make the real onelook bad. I've even saw theories on my trailer breakdown that said that Mecha could be wearinga gigantic kevlar suit that just makes him look like Godzilla. It's like when you were a kid and you used to stand on your mates shoulders and weara trench coat to sneak into the cinema.
However, I'm gonna say something controversial...somethingthat you might wanna sit down for if you're #TeamGodzilla.Ok so I don't actually think that Mechagodzilla is the one who's doing most of the city smashingand I think it is indeed Godzilla. In one scene in the trailer we can see him blastingout his atomic breath and this then sweeps across and causes many casualties in the explosionsthat arise from it. Now it may be a Kevlar suit but I think thatthe trailer in several ways is hinting to us that both Titan's are under some form ofcontrol or another. With Kong we see a young girl who holds upan idol that seems to calm down the gigantic ape and throughout the teaser there's lipservice paid to the fact that the pair have a special bond.
Whether he recognises similaritiesin her to the other people that he's eaten in the past we don't know but we very muchhave this idea that he can be manipulated in some form or another even if it's willingly.Similar to this I believe that Kong will be under the control of Apex who, rather thanplaying their hand have found a way to manipulate Godzilla into going wild in the middle ofa city. King Of The Monsters clearly demonstratedthat the Orca device was a way to bring the Titans under control and I believe that thisdevice has been perfected and placed in Mechagodzilla as a way to have the metallic monster manipulateGodzilla into destroying the humans. Now I am more than willing to accept thatit could be a possibility that Mechagodzilla is just dressed up as the Titan but I feellike that cheapens that battle in many ways if it turns out to be true. What we really wanna see is both Kong and Godzilla fight and to have a reveal that hewasn't even fighting him this entire time I think would make the movie just feel slightlyshallow.
As much as I love Godzilla I'd love if wehad a moment like in Batman V Superman where he says you were never a god...zilla and justsmacks him in the face similar to what we see in the trailer. Now the reason that I think that Mechagodzilla is able to manipulate the other titans includingthe big dog himself is because in the trailer we see two Nuzuki titans attacking Kong.According to the leaks these are natives of Skull Island however they also state thatthis place is now more of a sanctuary to the titans in which they have all fallen underthe rule of Kong rather than constantly being at war with one another. Thus them attacking him does signify to me that they may also have been sent crazy bythe twisted ways of Apex.
Though this may not be the case it's evenpossible that the explosion which we see at the start of the trailer is actually the energyoverride of Mechagodzilla which will draw Godzilla to the area and then have him goape shit when the Orca is activated. I feel like those are probably the most likelypossibilities and though it pains me to say it I do think that the Godzilla we see inthe trailer is the real one. It just makes the most sense to me that he'sthe one causing all this death and destruction and if the rumoured monsterverse is goingto spring from this film I think the best place to start is with the humans not reallyknowing whether they can trust him or not.
Obviously I'd love to hear your thoughts thoughand whether you agree with me or not in the comments below. Take care, Peace

King Ghidorah’s REAL plan (KOTM Headcanon)
So, a new KOTM/Monsterverse headcanon theory from me this time, and again about my favourite three-headed CGI psycho dragon. :) This time, it’s a new headcanon I came up with after I read the ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ novelisation a while back.
When I was reading the novelisation’s expansion on Ghidorah and its whole strip-the-planet-bare-with-storms evil plan, a few things that really got me and I was curious about: why does Ghidorah just try to dominate the other Titans instead of killing them outright if Ghidorah is powerful enough to kill the whole world all on its own and if it’s really so sadistically evil? Is Ghidorah just using the Titans to speed up the process, does Ghidorah have a sense of humour in manipulating the Titans into destroying their own planet for Ghidorah, or is it something else? After all, another thing I’m thinking is, Ghidorah lives for killing, and the quicker the destruction of Earth’s inhabitants is the faster Ghidorah runs out of entertainment on this planet, so why use the other Titans to cut Ghidorah’s fun short?
There was a couple passages in the novelisation that really caught my attention.
First there’s Mark thinking about Ghidorah’s apocalypse: “It really did seem like Ghidorah was trying to tear the Earth’s ecosystem back down to the bones and start over.”
And then (and this did a lot for me to found this idea) there’s Mark wondering this about the Titans’ origins when he sees Rodan: “Maybe the Monarch scientists had it wrong. They kept telling him the Titans were part of the natural order, but he didn’t see it. How could that be natural? Maybe the Titans didn’t arise when the rest of life on Earth did. What if they weren’t part of life as we know it at all? What if they came from before, when there was no water or free oxygen, when everything was a volcanic hellscape, the atmosphere a perpetual lightning storm, when radiation sleeted from the sky and pulsed from the ground at levels that would strike a human dead in the time it took to draw a breath of the poisonous atmosphere. The Earth was like that for billions of years, before it started to rain, the sky to cool, seas to form. Before bacteria. Before the first photosynthetic organism started pumping oxygen into the air. Plenty of time for another kind of life to evolve based on some other chemistry that didn’t need water or oxygen. It was easy to believe, watching the terrible flaming bird gain on them, that life as they knew it was just a pale attempt to imitate what came before, those earlier creatures that mostly perished when the rains arrived.”
Based on these, I’m wondering, what if Mark is seriously onto something with his thoughts about the Titans’ origins? (I know ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ makes it look like the Titans really do come from the Hollow Earth, but it’s not the first time in the Monsterverse they’ve gotten a backstory-retcon revision, and I can’t be the only one who thinks the Hollow Earth still seems a bit too small an environment to host entire species of Godzilla-size and Behemoth-size Titans.)
What if the reason Ghidorah dominates the Titans and makes them help it is because Ghidorah doesn’t just expect them to die off once Ghidorah’s done reshaping the planet? What if Ghidorah still has plans for the Titans after destroying the Earth? My theory is that Ghidorah’s plan for the Earth goes like this: it’ll reshape the planet in a way that’ll strip the entire biosphere back to the bones like Mark said, making Earth more like it was during the Precambrian again, when the atmosphere was toxic and volcanoes were constantly belching gases and radiation. And the new conditions on Ghidorah’s new planetary kingdom will encourage more Titans and Titan-like lifeforms to evolve from the lightning and radiation and chaos just as the Titans did before. But with Ghidorah ruling the radioactive planet unopposed, any newly-evolved baby Titans that are born in Ghidorah’s kingdom, if Ghidorah thinks they could grow into rival Alphas, will be killed by Ghidorah in their crib (we can all safely assume Ghidorah wouldn’t think twice about killing Titan-babies); and the rest of the Titans and newborn Titan-creatures will be Ghidorah’s lifelong slaves, so that Ghidorah has subjects in its planetary kingdom for it to rule over (or torment for kicks when it gets bored) forever. A true, evil King of the Monsters lording over an eternal, hellish world of monsters.

Its somewhat ironic that a movie about time travel can’t be reviewed properly until your future self rewatches the movie. It’s bold of Nolan to make such a thoroughly dense blockbuster. He assumes people will actually want to see ~Годзила срещу Конг more than once so they can understand it properly, which some may not. This movie makes the chronology of Inception look as simplistic as tic-tac-toe. Ergo, it’s hard for me to give an accurate rating, without having seen it twice, as I’m still trying to figure out whether everything does indeed make sense. If it does, this movie is easily a 9 or 10. If it doesn’t, it’s a 6. It’s further not helped by the fact that the dialogue in the first 15 minutes of the movie is painfully hard to understand / hear. Either they were behind masks; they were practically mumbling; the sound effects were too loud; or all of the above. The exposition scenes are also waayyy too brief for something this complex — a problem also shared with Interstellar actually. (Interstellar had this minimalist exposition problem explaining Blight, where if you weren’t careful, you’d miss this one sentence / scene in the entire movie explaining that Blight was a viral bacteria: “Earth’s atmosphere is 80% nitrogen, we don’t even breathe nitrogen. Blight does, and as it thrives, our air gets less and less oxygen”). I guess it’s a Nolan quirk. Hopefully, a revision of the film audio sorts the sound mixing out. I do like the soundtrack, but it’s too loud initially. I liked all the actors. You think John Washington can’t act at first, but he can, and he grows on you as the film progresses. And Pattinson is his usual charming self. Elizabeth is a surprise treat. And so on. Its worth a watch either way. See it with subtitles if you can. And definitely don’t expect to fully understand whats going on the first time around. Its one hell of a complicated film. It will be very hard for an average viewer to gather all the information provided by this movie at the first watch. But the more you watch it, more hidden elements will come to light. And when you are able to put these hidden elements together. You will realize that this movie is just a “masterpiece” which takes the legacy of Christopher Nolan Forward If I talk about acting, Then I have to say that Robert Pattinson has really proved himself as a very good actor in these recent years. And I am sure his acting skills will increase with time. His performance is charming and very smooth. Whenever he is on the camera, he steals the focus John David Washington is also fantastic in this movie. His performance is electrifying, I hope to see more from him in the future. Other characters such as Kenneth Branagh, Elizabeth, Himesh Patel, Dimple Kapadia, Clémence Poésy have also done quite well. And I dont think there is a need to talk about Michael Caine Talking about Music, its awesome. I dont think you will miss Hans Zimmer’s score. Ludwig has done a sufficient job. There is no lack of good score in the movie Gotta love the editing and post production which has been put into this movie. I think its fair to say this Nolan film has focused more in its post production. The main problem in the movie is the sound mixing. Plot is already complex and some dialogues are very soft due to the high music score. It makes it harder to realize what is going on in the movie. Other Nolan movies had loud BGM too. But Audio and dialogues weren’t a problem My humble request to everyone is to please let the movie sink in your thoughts. Let your mind grasp all the elements of this movie. I am sure more people will find it better. Even those who think they got the plot. I can bet they are wrong. ~Годзила срещу Конг is the long awaited new movie from Christopher Nolan. The movie that’s set to reboot the multiplexes post-Covid. It’s a manic, extremely loud, extremely baffling sci-fi cum spy rollercoaster that will please a lot of Nolan fan-boys but which left me with very mixed views. John David Washington (Denzel’s lad) plays “The Protagonist” — a crack-CIA field operative who is an unstoppable one-man army in the style of Hobbs or Shaw. Recruited into an even more shadowy organisation, he’s on the trail of an international arms dealer, Andrei Sator (Kenneth Branagh in full villain mode). Sator is bullying his estranged wife Kat (Elizabeth Debicki) over custody of their son (and the film unusually has a BBFC warning about “Domestic Abuse”). Our hero jets the world to try to prevent a very particular kind of Armageddon while also keeping the vulnerable and attractive Kat alive. This is cinema at its biggest and boldest. Nolan has taken a cinema ‘splurge’ gun, filled it with money, set it on rapid fire, removed the safety and let rip at the screen. Given that Nolan is famous for doing all of his ‘effects’ for real and ‘in camera’, some of what you see performed is almost unbelievable. You thought crashing a train through rush-hour traffic in “Inception” was crazy? You ain’t seen nothing yet with the airport scene! And for lovers of Chinooks (I must admit I am one and rush out of the house to see one if I hear it coming!) there is positively Chinook-p*rn on offer in the film’s ridiculously huge finale. The ‘inversion’ aspects of the story also lends itself to some fight scenes — one in particular in an airport ‘freeport’ — which are both bizarre to watch and, I imagine, technically extremely challenging to pull off. In this regard John David Washington is an acrobatic and talented stunt performer in his own right, and must have trained for months for this role. Nolan’s crew also certainly racked up their air miles pre-lockdown, since the locations range far and wide across the world. The locations encompassed Denmark, Estonia, India, Italy, Norway, the United Kingdom, and United States. Hoyte Van Hoytema’s cinematography is lush in introducing these, especially the beautiful Italian coast scenes. Although I did miss the David Arnold strings that would typically introduce these in a Bond movie: it felt like that was missing. The ‘timey-wimey’ aspects of the plot are also intriguing and very cleverly done. There are numerous points at which you think “Oh, that’s a sloppy continuity error” or “Shame the production design team missed that cracked wing mirror”. Then later in the movie, you get at least a dozen “Aha!” moments. Some of them (no spoilers) are jaw-droppingly spectacular. Perhaps the best twist is hidden in the final line of the movie. I only processed it on the way home. And so to the first of my significant gripes with ~Годзила срещу Конг. The sound mix in the movie is all over the place. I’d go stronger than that… it’s truly awful (expletive deleted)! Nolan often implements Shakespeare’s trick of having characters in the play provide exposition of the plot to aid comprehension. But unfortunately, all of this exposition dialogue was largely incomprehensible. This was due to: the ear-splitting volume of the sound: 2021 movie audiences are going to be suffering from ‘~Годзила срещу Конгis’! (LOL); the dialogue is poorly mixed with the thumping music by Ludwig Göransson (Wot? No Hans Zimmer?); a large proportion of the dialogue was through masks of varying description (#covid-appropriate). Aaron Taylor-Johnson was particularly unintelligible to my ears. Overall, watching this with subtitles at a special showing might be advisable! OK, so I only have a PhD in Physics… but at times I was completely lost as to the intricacies of the plot. It made “Inception” look like “The Tiger Who Came to Tea”. There was an obvious ‘McGuffin’ in “Inception” — — (“These ‘dream levels’… how exactly are they architected??”…. “Don’t worry… they’ll never notice”. And we didn’t!) In “~Годзила срещу Конг” there are McGuffins nested in McGuffins. So much of this is casually waved away as “future stuff… you’re not qualified” that it feels vaguely condescending to the audience. At one point Sator says to Kat “You don’t know what’s going on, do you?” and she shakes her head blankly. We’re right with you there luv! There are also gaps in the storyline that jar. The word “~Годзила срещу Конг”? What does it mean. Is it just a password? I’m none the wiser. The manic pace of ~Годзила срещу Конг and the constant din means that the movie gallops along like a series of disconnected (albeit brilliant) action set pieces. For me, it has none of the emotional heart of the Cobb’s marriage problems from “Inception” or the father/daughter separation of “Interstellar”. In fact, you barely care for anyone in the movie, perhaps with the exception of Kat. It’s a talented cast. As mentioned above, John David Washington is muscular and athletic in the role. It’s a big load for the actor to carry in such a tent-pole movie, given his only significant starring role before was in the excellent BlacKkKlansman. But he carries it off well. A worthy successor to Gerard Butler and Jason Statham for action roles in the next 10 years. This is also a great performance by Robert Pattinson, in his most high-profile film in a long time, playing the vaguely alcoholic and Carré-esque support guy. Pattinson’s Potter co-star Clemence Poésy also pops up — rather more un-glam that usual — as the scientist plot-expositor early in the movie. Nolan’s regular Michael Caine also pops up. although the 87-year old legend is starting to show his age: His speech was obviously affected at the time of filming (though nice try Mr Nolan in trying to disguise that with a mouth full of food!). But in my book, any amount of Caine in a movie is a plus. He also gets to deliver the best killer line in the film about snobbery! However, it’s Kenneth Branagh and Elizabeth Debicki that really stand out. They were both fabulous, especially when they were bouncing off each other in their marital battle royale. So, given this was my most anticipated movie of the year, it’s a bit of a curate’s egg for me. A mixture of being awe-struck at times and slightly disappointed at others. It’s a movie which needs a second watch, so I’m heading back today to give my ear drums another bashing! And this is one where I reserve the right to revisit my rating after that second watch… it’s not likely to go down… but it might go up. (For the full graphical review, check out One Mann’s Movies on t’interweb and Facebook. Thanks.) As this will be non-spoiler, I can’t say too much about the story. However, what I can is this: ~Годзила срещу Конг’s story is quite dynamic in the sense that you won’t understand it till it wants you to. So, for the first half, your brain is fighting for hints and pieces to puzzle together the story. It isn’t until halfway through the movie that ~Годзила срещу Конг invites you to the fantastic storytelling by Christopher Nolan. Acting is beyond phenomenal, and I’d be genuinely surprised if neither Robert Pattinson nor John David Washington doesn’t receive an Oscar nomination for best actor. It’s also hard not to mention how good Elizabeth Debicki and Aaron Johnson both are. All around, great acting, and the dialogue amps up the quality of the movie. The idea of this movie is damn fascinating, and while there are films that explore time-travelling, there’s never been anything quite like this. It has such a beautiful charm and for the most part, explains everything thoroughly. It feels so much more complex than any form of time-travelling we’ve seen, and no less could’ve been expected from Nolan. Oh my lord, the score for this film fits so perfectly. Every scene that’s meant to feel intense was amped by a hundred because of how good the score was. Let me just say though, none of them will be found iconic, but they fit the story and scenes so well. In the end, I walked out, feeling very satisfied. Nevertheless, I do have issues with the film that I cannot really express without spoiling bits of the story. There are definitely little inconsistencies that I found myself uncovering as the story progressed. However, I only had one issue that I found impacted my enjoyment. That issue was understanding some of the dialogue. No, not in the sense that the movie is too complicated, but more that it was hard to make out was being said at times. It felt like the movie required subtitles, but that probably was because, at a time in the film, there was far too much exposition. Nevertheless, I loved this film, I’ll be watching it at least two more times, and I think most of you in this group will enjoy it. I definitely suggest watching it in theatres if possible, just so you can get that excitement. (4/5) & (8.5/10) for those that care about number scores. At first, I want to ask Christopher Nolan one question, HOW THE HELL YOU DID THIS? Seriously I want to have an answer, How did he write such as this masterpiece! How did he get this complicated, fabulous and creative idea? What is going on in his mind? The story is written and directed perfectly, the narration style was absolutely unique. I have no idea how can anyone direct such as this story, that was a huge challenge, and as usual Nolan gave us a masterpiece that we’ll put beside (Memento), (Inception) and (Interstellar) The movie is so fast-paced in a good way, there was no boring moment. The chemistry between John David Washington and Robert Pattinson was great and funny and both of their performance was really good. Elizabeth Debicki performance was the best in the movie because she had the chance to show her acting abilities and she cached up that chance and showed us an A level acting. The music wasn’t unique and distinct as the music of Interstellar for example and I think this movie needed the touch of Hans Zimmer, I’m not saying that Ludwig Göransson failed but Hans Zimmer in another level. If there was something I’d say that I didn’t like it in the movie would it be that Nolan discarded any set up or characters backgrounds except Elizabeth Debicki dramatic story but it wasn’t that bad for me, I didn’t care about that, the exciting story didn’t give me the chance to focus on it. But the actual problem was the third act, it was really complicated and I got lost and I convinced myself to discard the questions that were in my head and enjoy the well-made action sequences and Elizabeth Debicki performance. I think this kind of movie that gets better with a second and third watch. I honestly don’t quite know where to begin with ~Годзила срещу Конг. I love Christopher Nolan’s work but I have never seen a more complicated film (and I understood Memento). ~After nearly three hours, I came away from ~Годзила срещу Конг not knowing myself, my mind reduced to nothing more than piles of ash. Was there time travel involved? Hmm, there was definitely something about time inversion. I mean, does Nolan even understand what he wrote? Look, I give credit to the director because he’s one of the few directors left who knows how to create a compelling and intelligent blockbuster. ~Годзила срещу Конг is full of Nolan trademarks — the gratuitous Michael Caine cameo, a loud, really loud score, complete with stunning cinematography and slickly inventive action set-pieces. This time around however, Nolan has finally managed to ‘out-Nolan’ himself: the palindromic plot, whilst creatively ambitious, is simply far too complicated for its own good. ~Годзила срещу Конг is overlong, overstuffed, pretentious and too exhausting to comprehend in its entirety — it makes Inception and Interstellar look like Peppa Pig by comparison. I’m aware of the technical wizardry and creative mastery in this film and lord knows I’ll have to watch this again. For those who want a puzzle, ~Годзила срещу Конг at least provides a unique cinematic experience. But to actually enjoy solving it Nolan wants you to work very very hard

Oh, character ask meme: Godzilla :D
I’ve already done one on Godzilla but I have a few revised thoughts
Favorite line:
This line is not by Godzilla but about him. This is from Godzilla 1985 ,the Americanized version of the Return of Godzilla .I dont like either version of the movie....But I goddamn adore this speech by Raymond Burr’s character Mr Martin
Nature has a way sometimes of reminding Man of just how small he is. She occasionally throws up terrible offspring's of our pride and carelessness to remind us of how puny we really are in the face of a tornado, an earthquake, or a Godzilla. The reckless ambitions of Man are often dwarfed by their dangerous consequences. For now, Godzilla - that strangely innocent and tragic monster - has gone to earth. Whether he returns or not, or is never again seen by human eyes, the things he has taught us remain... -Mr Martin
Song associate with them:
Now the expected answer is Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult, which is a amazing rock song ....But honestly ,maybe because it’s where I was introduced to Godzilla but whenever I think of the big guy I think “Up from the depths,30 stories high ! Breathing Fire ! HIS HEAD IN THE SKY -

The Order I Saw the Godzilla Movies In (Revised)
I recently revised my personal timeline of when and how I became a Godzilla fan when I realized that my “obviously wrong” memory of starting in January 1994 was, in fact, 100% correct. So, considering that, here’s the (rough) order I saw the Godzilla movies, how, and briefly my initial reaction:
1. Godzilla vs. Megalon - Circa 1990. This was the first Godzilla movie I remember seeing, a VHS copy my aunt bought for my younger cousin in the bargain bin someplace (wild guess: a Bradlees department store in Saddle Brook, NJ) . She'd put it on TV while my cousin and I were playing, but I never gave much thought to it. 2. Godzilla 1985 - January 9, 1994. My family was over at my grandmother's house for a family party on the day of the NFC Wild Card game between the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings. I happened to catch a commercial for the 5 P.M. movie on WPIX-11 out of New York, which that day happened to be Godzilla 1985. I was going through a Dinosaur and Monster craze at the time (thanks to Jurassic Park and Power Rangers) and made a point of watching it because it looked like the COOLEST THING EVER. It blew my mind! I wouldn't shut up about it for weeks! 3. Terror of Mechagodzilla - January 15?, 1994. Since I was talking nonstop about Godzilla everyday since seeing G85, my Dad took me to the local videostore a week or so later and rented this, the only Godzilla movie they had, for me to watch. I remember being confused by this movie and didn't care much for it. 4. - 7. Godzilla, King of the Monsters, Mothra vs. Godzilla, Godzilla vs. Monster Zero, and Godzilla's Revenge - January 29 and 30, 1994. Shortly after watching ToMG, I found out that TNT’s MonsterVision was having a Godzilla night on January 29. I was SUPER-excited for it, and the marathon is really what cemented my fandom. I remember recognizing immediately that GKOTM was the original movie (and, for some reason, thought Goji's ears were horns). The marathon started at 8 PM and I stayed up to watch that one, falling asleep some time during Mothra vs. Godzilla. I watched the rest the next day on tape. That video was one of my most prized possessions as a kid, right up until I got the Simitar VHS set in 1998! Interesting to note: this broadcast of Godzilla vs. Monster Zero cut the entire second Planet X sequence. The characters leaving Earth with Godzilla and Rodan is cut off by a commercial break, and when the movie resumes is when Fuji and Glenn leave Planet X with the tape. While I saw screenshots of the sequence in G-Fan, from 1994 until some time in 1999 when I finally sat to watch the Simitar release of the movie, I was completely unaware the Godzilla/Rodan v. Ghidorah fight, the Godzilla dancing scene, or the scene with Glenn and the multiple Kumi Mizunos were actually real scenes and not just promotional shots. 8. King Kong vs. Godzilla - April 3, 1994. My family often merges my birthday party with Easter because the two fall so close to each other most years, and this was one of them. I received the movie as a birthday gift from, I believe, one of my aunts. I remember being surprised the movie existed at all, the idea that King Kong and Godzilla COULD fight each other hadn't hit me yet. After this point my recollection is vague. I'll give this in what I think is rough order. 9. Ebirah, Horror of the Deep - Spring/Summer 1994??? We got the 1992 Goodtimes release from a bargain bin, either in Kmart or Bradlees. I remember being disappointed by this one.
10. Destroy All Monsters - Summer 1994. My parents bought it from a shortlived kaiju/sentai/henshin stand my family discovered on the Boardwalk in Seaside Heights, NJ. It was by the Funtime Pier, nearish the Sawmill. The owner saw I was a wide-eyed kid who'd just discovered the fandom, and talked up the movie (I didn't need much convincing). 11. Godzilla vs. Mothra - Summer 1994. I don't remember buying this movie, but I know I saw it well before I saw Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla ‘93 because the tape had the early teaser trailer for it that mostly was showing off the poster, making the movie look way darker and more badass than it turned out to be. I’m certain I bought it from the same stand in Seaside Heights, and in fact it may have been the same day as DAM. I don't remember, though. I'm only certain I saw it before the end of Summer 1994.
12. Godzilla vs. Gigan - 1994/1995??? Our family's favorite videostore was this place on Main Ave. in Lodi, NJ, across from the Kmart. It was AWESOME. It had EVERYTHING. It had a huge Sci-Fi/Horror section and was single-handedly the biggest reason why I was able to see as many Godzilla movies as I did as a kid (as well as many Gamera movies, plus a bunch of other genre films, PLUS the classic Universal Horror films). The VHS was the the New World Video or '92 StarMaker release, I'm not entirely sure. The picture of Godzilla on the ground, appearing bloody and dead, was what caught my attention and made me rent it. I remember being surprised by how dark this one was.
13. Godzilla Raids Again - 1994/1995??? I spotted this one while browsing the videos in Lodi and was intrigued by the box art (it was the Video Treasures release). I've always liked this one a lot because it was a direct sequel to the first movie, because I liked both monsters' designs, and thought they had a really cool fight. 14. Ghidorah the Three-Headed Monster - 1994/1995??? Honestly? I don't remember. Either I rented it from the store in Lodi or recorded it off the TV. I don't remember how I felt after seeing it, it didn't leave much of an impression on me at the time. Now, it's one of my favorite Godzilla movies!
15 .Godzilla vs. Hedorah - Summer 1995. Rented the Orion Pictures VHS from the videostore in Lodi. I don't recall my initial reaction.
16. Godzilla vs. Biollante - Summer 1995. I went with my Dad to a supermarket in East Rutherford for groceries one afternoon, and while there we visited the videstore across the street. As had become my SOP by that point, I went to the Sci-Fi section and looked for Godzilla movies and I discovered it there. The cover caught me immediately, like GvMG2's cover it was SO COOL. We rented it, and I was doubly surprised to discover that this was a direct sequel to Godzilla 1985! AWESOME! Then, triply surprised by the violent opening sequence - so surprised that I actually ejected the tape to double-check that this was a Godzilla movie. By the time I finished watching it the first time, I had been permanently fixed as my favorite Godzilla movie. ^___^
17. Son of Godzilla - Summer 1995. Fairly certain we rented it from the videostore in Lodi. I liked this one and actually used to watch it a lot. 18. Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla - Summer 1995. Rented the '92 StarMaker VHS from the videostore in Lodi. This quickly became one of my favorites! I later bought the GoodTimes "Godzilla vs. Cosmic Monster" version from a bargain bin in Kmart, thinking it was a different movie, only to discover that it was an edited down version of GvMG (I could tell since the StarMaker version had the opening scene with Anguirus, the Cosmic Monster version did not). 19. - 20. Godzilla vs. Super-Mechagodzilla and Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla - Summer 1995. While on a day trip to Sandy Hook in South Jersey I convinced my parents to drive all the way down to Seaside Heights so I could buy these, as I’d spotted them when we were in Seaside Heights last time. I watched Space Godzilla that night - this would be the first Godzilla movie I ever watched in Japanese without subs (it was a theatrical camcorder bootleg, I remember hearing the audience and seeing people getting up and walking around), I ate it up anyway. ^_^ I watched GvMG2 the next day while at a family party in Pennsylvania and loved it. ^_^ From this point forward the order is accurate. 21. Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah - Possibly 1996. I became aware of this movie when I walked into the Garden State Plaza's Starlog store in Summer 1994, I think, (long since closed) and spotted stills of Mecha King Ghidorah and Godzillasaurus. I ended up buying a subbed bootleg from The Outer Limits in Clifton, NJ in either late 1995 or some time in 1996. 22. Godzilla vs. Destroyah - Summer 1996 or 1997. I also bought this, subbed, from The Outer Limits in Clifton, NJ. I remember buying this one in the summer, and it having been a very long time after it came out, so I'm leaning toward it having been Summer of 1997. This was one of the last movies I saw before Zilla'98 came out. I remember liking it quite a lot, and eventually it became one of the most-watched Heisei films for me. 23. Godzilla (1998) - May 1998. Saw it at the Highway Theater in Fair Lawn, NJ. I remember liking it after walking out of the theater. I didn't "decide" that I "hated" it until I read the next issue of G-Fan and realized all the other fans had hated it, so I switched gears and claimed to hate it too. I didn't change my mind about it until I gave it a second chance in 2002. Today I'm mostly neutral toward it, my biggest criticism being that it’s really dull. 24. Godzilla 2000 - August 2000. Saw it at the Clifton Commons theater in Clifton, NJ. For some reason, I wasn't excited about seeing this one and ended up waiting a week before going. I remember walking away happy I saw it, but not crazy about it. It left little impression on me for years after, although more recently I’ve come around and nowadays like it quite a lot. :) 25. Godzilla vs. Megaguirus - Summer 2001. Bought this, subbed, from The Outer Limits in Clifton, NJ. I didn't care much for it (I also didn't find out about the after-credits sequence until it came out on video in the U.S. officially). 26. GMK - Summer 2002 or 2003. Bought this, subbed, from The Outer Limits in Clifton, NJ. Being a fan of the Heisei Gamera films by this point, I was pretty disappointed by this movie. I remember not liking much of anything about it. Since then, I've 100% reversed and its now one of my favorite Post-'80s Godzilla films. 27. Godzilla against Mechagodzilla - 2004 or 2005. Don't recall how I got this one, it might've been Christmas 2004. I liked it quite a lot at the time, and thus far has held up on repeat viewings. 28. Godzilla (1954) - Fall 2004. One of the last things I bought from the Outer Limits before the store closed. I watched it in my dorm room during my first semester of college and remember being amazed, it was like seeing the movie again for the first time. ^_^ 29. Godzilla: Tokyo SOS - 2005. Bought it from the FYE in the Paramus Park Mall, I think. I didn't like it at all. I thought it was a serious let down after GxMG, and felt that movie deserved better than a bad remake of Mothra vs. Godzilla. I've since revised my opinion and like it more, but still think it should have been better. 30. Godzilla: Final Wars - 2005. Bought it from the FYE in the Paramus Park Mall, I think. At the time I liked it and for years thought other fans were being too hard on it. After rewatching it again around 2013 or so, though, it plummeted through the floor to me and my opinion wasn’t nearly so high. I slowly warmed back up to it, eventually deciding to make my own fan edit which is now my preferred version to watch.
31. Godzilla (2014) - May 2014. Saw it at the Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ on opening night. Loved it! One of the rare movies I went back and saw again in theaters, and has only gotten better after the many repeat viewings since. ^_^
32. The Return of Godzilla - 2015??? Considering this was only a few years ago, I’m really sort of baffled that I can’t figure out when I bought this?? After years of waiting, I got impatient for an official U.S. release and imported a copy from Japan. It was wonderful to see the movie that made me a fan again after so long, even if it wasn’t the G’85 version, but I found the Japanese version surprisingly lacking compared to the Americanized version (which I soon after found a bootleg to compare). The lack of music and many of what I feel were poorer editing choices really hurt the Japanese cut for me, and to this day the pure Japanese cut of this film is my lead favorite version (my preferred, these days, is the Godzilla: Resurrection fan edit).
33. Shin Godzilla - October 2016. Saw this in, I believe, Fort Lee, NJ when it was having its theatrical run. Loved it! Second Godzilla movie I’d gotten my now brother-in-law to come see (I brought him to a screening of G’54 in New York City in 2014).
34. Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters - 2018. I saw this as soon as it hit Netflix and while I enjoyed it, my feelings have been mixed. I love the creativity of it, but it’s a pretty slow movie and not one I see myself returning to much. One of the only ones I don’t own a copy of.
35. Godzilla: Mechagodzilla City - 2018. Yeah, screw the official title of this, it’s Mechagodzilla City for me. I liked this one MUCH more than PotM, a truly inspired take on the Godzilla and Mechagodzilla rivalry. Very much enjoyed! Also don’t own a copy, since Netflix has yet to give it a physical release.
36. Godzilla: King of the Monsters - May 2019. Saw this one in theaters at least twice, once in I believe Secaucus and again in Holmdel. I think I saw it once more in Paramus, too. Unbelievably enjoyable movie, and easily one of my absolute favorites of this year. ^_^
39. King Kong vs. Godzilla (Japanese Version) - December 2019. Finally got a chance to sit and watch this recently thanks to the Criterion set. Loved it!
38. Godzilla: The Planet Eater - 2019??? Okay, time to come clean: I technically haven’t actually seen this one yet. ^^()

FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder earns its high ranks by the simple fact of its presence in most of the top-featured codec packs available on the market. Its supplied capabilities are among the best when it comes to decompressing and post processing video streams.
Easily deploying a powerful package
Jan 15, 2020 FFDShow is a Video application like MediaInfo Lite, VideoStudio, and nVFlash from FFDShow Team. It has a simple and basic user interface, and most importantly, it is free to download. FFDShow is an efficient software that is recommended by many Windows PC users. FFDShow is a very fast, small, compact and innovative Open Source Video for Windows.
May 07, 2021 FFDSHOW is a DirectShow decoding filter for decompressing several video formats, including DivX, XviD, WMV, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 movies. Filter also supports nowadays decoding of virtually all audio formats used in movies, including AC3, DTS, MP3 and Ogg Vorbis, and several subtitle formats.
Ffdshow is an advanced directshow decoder and VFW codec for playing most video formats like AVI, DivX, XviD, MKV, MP4/M4V, WMV, WEBM, MPG, MPEG2, SVCD, DVD, AVC/H264.
This particular video decoder provides a DirectShow (DirectX component API) decoding filter for DivX, XviD, MPEG-1/2/4, H.264, WMV or FLV1 decompression. It uses the “libavcodec” form the “ffmpeg” project to do so as well as post-processing operations for visual enhancement of low bitrate video streams. It is an elevated version of the open-source XviD project.
Originally developed by Milan Cutka, FFDShow is now being updated by a team called “ffdshow-tryouts”. Its installation takes a few clicks and a few more split-seconds to complete. First, you are able to choose from its main components – DXVA video decoder, VFW interface, AviSynth scripts serving and two application plugins for AviSynth and VirtualDub.
Providing a thorough setup process
You can select additional tasks during the next step of the installation process such as “Reset all ffdshow settings”, “Video formats” and “Audio formats” (very impressive lists that cover almost every possible option), “Filter Settings”, Tweaks and even a “Compatibility Manger”. The “Mixer” step of the wizard provides users with various audio configurations from 1-channel mono arrangement to more sophisticated 5, 6 and even 8 channel home theater setups.
Carefully handling CPU speed
FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder's main features wrap up a friendly system resources management with low CPU usage no matter the post-processing level, while providing outstanding visual quality. It sports an intelligent system that drops the post-processing level when the CPU tends to become overloaded, thus unstable.
Configure audio and video decoders
In order to configure FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder, you need to access any of the following programs: “ffdshow video encoder / decoder configuration” for the video stream as well as “ffdshow audio decoder configuration” or general configuration. These provide you with every customizable detail regarding the available codecs and their respective options.
In conclusion
All things considered, the level of depth and style that FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder packs makes it a one-of-a-kind set of codecs and filters. It's powerful yet light, versatile yet hard-working, complicated yet smooth. It really stands out of the crowd by offering truly irresistible performance and quality.

its somewhat ironic that a movie about time travel can’t be reviewed properly until your future self rewatches the movie. It’s bold of Nolan to make such a thoroughly dense blockbuster. He assumes people will actually want to see ~Tenet more than once so they can understand it properly, which some may not. ~Tenet is the long awaited new movie from Christopher Nolan. And so to the first of my significant gripes with ~Tenet. This was due to: the ear-splitting volume of the sound: 2020 movie audiences are going to be suffering from ‘~Tenetis’! And we didn’t!) In “~Tenet” there are McGuffins nested in McGuffins. The word “~Tenet”? What does it mean. Is it just a password? I’m none the wiser. The manic pace of ~Tenet and the constant din means that the movie gallops along like a series of disconnected (albeit brilliant) action set pieces. However, what I can is this: ~Tenet’s story is quite dynamic in the sense that you won’t understand it till it wants you to. So, for the first half, your brain is fighting for hints and pieces to puzzle together the story. It isn’t until halfway through the movie that ~Tenet invites you to the fantastic storytelling by Christopher Nolan. I honestly don’t quite know where to begin with ~Tenet. I love Christopher Nolan’s work but I have never seen a more complicated film (and I understood Memento). ~After nearly three hours, I came away from ~Tenet not knowing myself, my mind reduced to nothing more than piles of ash. Was there time travel involved? Hmm, there was definitely something about time inversion. I mean, does Nolan even understand what he wrote? Look, I give credit to the director because he’s one of the few directors left who knows how to create a compelling and intelligent blockbuster. ~Tenet is full of Nolan trademarks — the gratuitous Michael Caine cameo, a loud, really loud score, complete with stunning cinematography and slickly

U.S. factory activity cools amid COVID-19 flare-up
WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. manufacturing activity slowed slightly in January, while a measure of prices paid by factories for raw materials and other inputs jumped to its highest level in nearly 10 years, strengthening expectations inflation will perk up this year.
The moderation in activity reported by the Institute for Supply Management on Monday reflected a flare-up in COVID-19 infections, causing labor shortages in factories and their suppliers, which the ISM said “will continue to restrict the manufacturing economy expansion until the coronavirus crisis abates.” Manufacturing and housing are anchoring the economic recovery from the pandemic.
“It’s another reminder, not that we need one, the vaccine rollout has a long way to go before COVID loses its place as the biggest risk to economic growth,” said Chris Low, chief economist at FHN Financial in New York.

The ISM’s index of national factory activity fell to a reading of 58.7 last month from 60.5 in December. A reading above 50 indicates expansion in manufacturing, which accounts for 11.9% of the U.S. economy. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast the index at 60 in January.
The ISM revised data going back to 2012. Sixteen industries, including electrical equipment, appliances and components, machinery, primary metals and chemical products expanded in January. Printing and related support activities, and petroleum and coal products industries contracted.
Manufacturing has been driven by strong demand for goods like electronics and furniture as 23.7% of the labor force works from home because of the coronavirus outbreak. But spending on long-lasting manufactured goods fell for a second straight month in December, government data showed on Friday.
With the distribution of vaccines to fight the coronavirus expected to broaden and accelerate, spending on services is likely to pick up by summer. That could cause a slowdown in manufacturing activity from current levels. Still, a contraction is unlikely as customer inventories fell to an 11-year low in January. Factory stocks are also very lean.
A separate report on Monday from the Commerce Department said construction spending increased 1.0% to $1.490 trillion, the highest level since the government started tracking the series in 2002. That followed a 1.1% jump in November.
Stocks on Wall Street were trading higher following a sharp sell-off last week. The dollar rose against a basket of currencies. U.S. Treasury prices were lower.
SUPPLY SQUEEZE Manufacturers mostly described demand as strong last month, but worried about labor and input supply constraints. Makers of computer and electronic products said “increased demand, labor constraints and upstream supply delays are pushing lead times.”
Food producers reported that “labor continues to be one of our largest challenges.” Machinery manufacturers complained about “significant cost increases in logistics and raw materials.” Makers of miscellaneous goods reported “an increase in employees testing positive for COVID-19, negatively impacting manufacturing.”
A separate survey from data firm IHS Markit showed strong manufacturing activity in January and rising supply constraints.
The ISM’s forward-looking new orders sub-index fell to a reading of 61.1 last month from 67.5 in December. Export orders at factories also moderated. Despite the cool-off in orders, factories increased hiring last month.
The survey’s manufacturing employment gauge rose to 52.6 from 51.7 in December. That raises hope for a rebound in hiring this month after the economy shed jobs in December for the first time in eight months. According to a Reuters poll of economists, the government’s employment report on Friday is likely to show nonfarm payrolls increased by 50,000 jobs in January.
Job losses have been disproportionately in the services industry.
“The structural mismatch between those who are out-of-work, primarily service workers, and those looking to hire, manufacturers, is a key reason why our forecast shows a more gradual jobs recovery than an otherwise robust rebound in output would suggest,” said Sarah House, a senior economist at Wells Fargo Securities in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Bottlenecks in the supply chain worsened, with suppliers struggling to meet factory needs. That drove costs for manufacturers even higher. The survey’s prices paid index jumped to a reading of 82.1 last month, the highest since April 2011, from 77.6 in December. Coming in the wake of recent data showing a rise in consumer prices and labor costs, it supports predictions of a pickup in inflation in the coming months.
“It could be interpreted as a sign that inflation pressures are becoming a broader issue for the economy,” said James Knightley, chief international economist at ING in New York. “While we think it is too early to be especially concerned, we do predict that headline inflation will rise above 3% and core inflation above 2.5% in coming quarters.”
But high unemployment could limit manufacturers’ ability to raise prices. Employment is still 10 million jobs below the pre-pandemic peak.
