“Thank you, God!”
That’s how simple it is to thank God! It doesn’t have to be a long prayer with big, fancy words. Short and sincere please God more.
“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” (Matthew 6:5-8)
I read a devotional today on the Bible app which reminded me: “One of the best ways for our heart to stay in a gratitude posture is to count our blessings. That’s right. Literally start naming them. To simply stop and count our blessings will lead to an attitude overhaul.”
If we just simply sat down alone with God and gave Him a simple list of the things He’s done for or given us followed by a “Thank you, God!” It would show Him we are grateful for our abundance of blessings He gives us on a daily basis. Which is how often we should being saying our “Thank you, God!” Prayer—daily.
“Be persistent in prayer, and keep alert as you pray, giving thanks to God.” (Colossians 4:2)
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
And gratitude brings us peace.
“The peace that Christ gives is to guide you in the decisions you make; for it is to this peace that God has called you together in the one body. And be thankful.” (Colossians 3:15)
We’re created by Him, our being and every breath comes as a gift from His Hands.
“In him we live and move and have our being!” (Acts 17:28)
“Every good gift and every perfect present comes from heaven; it comes down from God, the Creator of the heavenly lights, who does not change or cause darkness by turning.” (James 1:17)
Everything we have and see in our beautiful world comes from our Father in Heaven.
How could we not be grateful?!

God’s Plans (pt 2)
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jeremiah 29:11)
Sometimes those plans may change, but that’s okay. God our Father always knows what’s best for His Children.
He never fails us.
God has special plans for each and every one of us. He planned our lives even before we were born. Each of us has something special that makes us different and unique.
We each bring something new and valuable to the table.
Although different we all have the most important thing in common—we believe in and serve the same (Thee One and Only) God. And are one with Him.
“There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ. We were all baptized by one Holy Spirit. And so we are formed into one body.” (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)
“You are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:27)

P s a l m 2 7 : 1 3 - 1 4
“I know that I will live to see the LORD’s goodness in this present life. Trust in the LORD. Have faith, do not despair. Trust in the LORD.” (Psalms 27:13-14)
The Psalmist is so confident in God and that is through faith and trust. He encourages us to trust in the Lord, not once but twice in this Psalm alone.
In previous posts, I’ve talked about the importance of not just forgiveness but of feeling forgiven. God didn’t send His Son to die for our Salvation only to have us walk around feeling that He hasn’t forgiven us. Wrong, that’s not what He wants for us! Feeling this way is a signal we need to trust God more. This feeling a deceptive emotion from the enemy to make us think God doesn’t/won’t forgive us. He wants to disconnect or break our relationship with God. Trust and reliance in God will strengthen our relationship with Him and shuts down that lie.
When we are truly apologetic to Him and regret our sins, He is faithful and just and does forgive us.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
God indeed forgives us and He tells us in His Word to believe and trust in Him and His forgiveness.
In verse 13 the Psalmist displays this very trust, saying He will see God’s goodness in this present life. We can’t expect to see God’s goodness unless we trust Him and know that He’s forgiven us—His goodness is where our forgiveness is found. For He is our good, good Father who always loves us and forgives, us even though we don’t deserve it.
By our faith, we see God’s goodness now. And thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ, His Sacrifice and forgiveness are what lead to us seeing His goodness in the life to come as well. As long as we continue following Him, trusting Him, and keeping our hope in Him…
“For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.” (1 Timothy 4:8-10)
“It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him” (2 Timothy 2:11)
The Psalmist also reminds us to have faith and not be afraid. Something Jesus Himself says to us…
“Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, "Don't be afraid; just believe." (Mark 3:56)
God is all for us not being scared or worried. But the only way we’ll be able to accomplish that is by trusting Him. And He wants us to remember He’s always with us and for us.
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:20)
Here are a few more verses showing how Paul verbalized his trust in God’s Salvation…
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.“ (Romans 8:18)
“And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.” (1 Corinthians 15:19)
It sounds a little he’s doubting here but no I don’t think so. His point is that we have everything to gain by believing in God, and everything to lose.
So, those who don’t believe will lose everything and those who believe will gain everything—life with GOD forever.

God’s Plans pt. 2
“In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)
He never fails us.
“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘I will never leave you; I will never forsake you.’”
(Hebrews 13:5)
God has special plans for each and every one of us. He planned our lives even before we were born. Each of us has something special that makes us different and unique.

We should thank God with every breath—which comes from Him. He blesses us with more than we even imagine or notice, or keep track of.
Each breath, each heartbeat, each blink, each word we speak. Each comes from our Creator.
"I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” (Psalm 9:1)
Not a day should go by that we don’t thank God for what He’s given us and what He does for us.
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
"Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” (Psalm 107:1)
Not only is He the Only One who truly deserves our full gratitude but it pleases Him.
"Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” (Psalm 100:4-5)
God will always bring good to those who love Him. He is faithful and just and not one of His Promises will He ever break. Not even one word from any of them will fail to be kept.
He does not waver and remains the same—so the God who loves you and blesses you will continue doing so.
The very least we can do is thank Him.

Our S T R E N G T H
“He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised.” (Psalm 23:3)
God is the source of our strength.
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)
“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:30-31)
He makes us strong and will protect us keeping us from harm.
“The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” (Psalm 121:7)
“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” (Psalm 91:4)
He is the one who guides us and helps us along the way. He created the way in which we are to go. God will never fail or lead us wrong. He works all things for the good of His people.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” (Psalm 32:8)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
"Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created." (Revelation 4:11)
"Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses." (1 Kings 8:56)
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
We can always count on the Lord our God for everything but especially safety and guidance. He’s got a Perfect Plan He’s going to carry out.
His Will will be done.

God’s GREATNESS
Have you ever thought about how great God is? I mean like really thought about it.
“Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance? Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord, or instruct the Lord as his counselor? Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge, or showed him the path of understanding?” (Isaiah 40:12-14)
Isaiah 40 goes on to talk about how God existed before anything else did. How He founded the earth, He created it and everything else in all existence.
“With whom, then, will you compare God? To what image will you liken him?” (Isaiah 40:18)
“‘To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?’ says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. Why do you complain, Jacob? Why do you say, Israel, ‘My way is hidden from the Lord; my cause is disregarded by my God’? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.” (Isaiah 40:25-28)
All of chapter forty from the book of Isaiah talks about how great God is, as do many many many books in The Bible. But Isaiah wrote about it in a personal way—acknowledging God is greater than anything and that He knows everything about him(and just everything in general).
HE—our Creator—is Thee GREATEST!
David also phrases God’s vast greatness in the same way in Psalm 139.
“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” (Psalm 139:14)
“How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.” (Psalm 139:17-18)
The thing is that it’s beyond our understanding and we can never really put it into words. It too much.
God is that GREAT.
He is our Creator, all He does is far beyond our comprehension.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9)
“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.” (Psalm 145:3)
And He’s not only great because of His Power and Sovereignty but also because of how good He is.
Think about it. Did God need to forgive you for that thing you did a few years ago that you knew was wrong and deeply regretted it later? No, probably not. I surely didn’t—and still don’t—deserve His Forgiveness. But He forgives us. Time after time after time. Why? Because He’s great and has great Love for us.
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
Did God need to sacrifice His Only Son to be our Savior? No, but He did because He loves us that greatly.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Jesus got to the cross step by step. Each while knowing the outcome. But He still moved forward, He still saved us. He chose us. He chose us instead of the easy way out. Something we tend to do too easily, too often. We fall into sin and temptation.
Jesus fell three times while carrying that wretched cross. His three falls represent how much we fall—and will continue to—it shows our weakness. In Jesus’s weakest moment He was still strong and determined enough to get up and keep walking, step by step. He got up every time and so should we.
He leads us, step by step. He shows us the way. He is the way.
“Every step I take your leading me on.” 🎶 MSC 🎶
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:6)
Let’s follow Jesus for He promises us. . .
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” (John 3:36)
“Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.’” (John 6:35)
“I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” (John 10:9)
“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
In Jesus we find life; we find green pastures; we find our place and purpose.
In Him we are found. In Him we are whole.
In Jesus we have eternal life with GOD!
He will never lead us wrong.
We can’t not follow Jesus.

“For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.” (Romans 6:6-7)
Your old self is crucified to that cross so get back up and work to be a better you each and every time.
We’re all going to fall into sin and temptation, repeatedly. What God did—sending His One and Only Son to die as a Sacrifice to save us from our sins is in vain unless we trust that we’re already forgiven.
This doesn’t mean we can do whatever we want but it means that when we repent we can rest in the fact that Jesus already died for us once and for all. Even when we don’t feel forgiven, He already forgave us. He doesn’t want us to feel unforgiven. He wants us to trust Him. To trust in His Mercy and Forgiveness.
It’s never to late to turn back to God. His forgiveness is for those who repent. For those who believe in Him and are truly sorry for their wrongs. But no matter how wrong, Jesus still forgives.
“‘Even now,’ declares the Lord, ‘return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.” (Joel 2:12-13)
God’s lovingkindness is relentless. His Love and Grace know no bounds. His mercy and forgiveness are unconditional.
In Jesus’s death and resurrection, we’re forgiven and He is glorified.
Our job is to spread the Good News which reveals His Glory to those who believe.

“This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:22-24)
We all fall short no matter how hard we try. We all wanna do better and be better but we’re always going to stumble and fall in the process. The good news is that God loves us no matter what. He gave Jesus up for us. His Own Son. And though He didn’t deserve it, Jesus died on a cross for us.
The greatest act of love in the entire history of all that’s ever been. Jesus. Thank You.
By God’s ultimate Sacrifice is the greatest gift in the entire history of all that’s ever been. Jesus. Thank You.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
By His Grace...
We are f r e e d!
We are s a v e d!
We are l o v e d!
We don’t deserve—we never did and never will—but our Father sees us as worth it! We were worth creating and worth saving. Wow. What a love. God’s Love is the only love that is T R U E.
I want to be immersed in it forever ♾

God loves joy.
He is joyful and He fills us with joy and love.
“You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as warriors rejoice when dividing the plunder.” (Isaiah 9:3)
“Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do.” (Ecclesiastes 9:7)
Because God brings us so much joy, we should spread it out around this world that is in constant, dire need of it! It brings Him joy and He is happy when we do so. Why? Because as children of God, who is with them always and meets their every need and blesses them abundantly, how could we not be joyful?!
“The Lord is my Shepherd; I lack nothing.” (Psalm 23:1)
"Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:20)
Notice how I keep using the word joyful. I’ve learned that we tend to associate happiness with joy and think they mean the same thing when they don’t. Happiness is temporary and may be influenced by situations and/or outcomes; it’s about one thing and creates a momentary emotion. Joyful is not [just] an emotion—it’s a state of mind, constant gratitude, and peace. And a relationship with God is what brings us the most joy! He is close to those who love Him and the joy of this (on both ends) is undeniable and indescribable.
If we remain connected to our Father and do what He’s called us to do, to be kind and loving to our neighbors, listen and obeying Him. He will bring us Peace and Joy through our Lord and Savior—The Prince of Peace.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
“The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.” (Proverbs 10:28)
We know faith is believing without seeing and by this same faith we gain our abundance of joy.
“Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” (1 Peter 1:8-9)

O N E
One is a very significant number.
There is Only One GOD; One Holy Spirit; One Messiah. Jesus and God the Father, along with The Holy Spirit, are one. Jesus made Himself one with us—and so we are one with GOD.
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” (Deuteronomy 6:4)
“But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.” (1 Corinthians 6:17)
“‘Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.’” (John 14:21)
God made one world and has given us one life.
And He is our One and only only Judge.
“For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; it is he who will save us.” (Isaiah 33:22)
We have only One Salvation and only One way to Heaven through it and through Him.
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.’” (John 14:6-7)
We are also called to be one. Today that isn’t always easier but we need to keep in mind our God is one and we are one with Him and He has commanded us to love one another. Further there is only One faith we have.
“For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:13)
“But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be?” (1 Corinthians 12:18-19)
“‘And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Matthew 22:39)
So always keep in mind to love you brothers and sisters/neighbors—for we are all God’s children and Creation.
Practice patience, compassion, and understanding.

Dear Jesus,
I feel connected to you in an inexplicable way. From my very first memory, for you have always been with me. Though I didn’t yet know what You had done for us. The greatest act of Love.
“Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13)
Even now it’s not something I can fully grasp. I can try and try but my human mind can’t completely comprehend it. Yet, my soul somehow knows—and so I praise You Lord. You are the reason for my being. You are my first Love and forever my One and Only True Love. For YOU are LOVE.
“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” (1 John 4:8)
Your beautiful body and blood you gave up and shed for our sins. You willingly laid down your life to redeem sinners like me, whom you love. We love you too Lord. Thank You.
“He went away a second time and prayed, ‘My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.’” (Matthew 26:42)
All I am is thanks to Y O U. To Your Sacrifice which has brought us closer to our Father, through You who are The Way, The Truth, and The Life. And You’ve given us Your Spirit.
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:6)
“I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, who will stay with you forever. He is the Spirit, who reveals the truth about God.” (John 14:16-17)
“He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.” (Psalm 25:9)
I need you Lord, you are my all. I will never forget what You did for me. Guide my way for all my days, dear Jesus.

♥ P E A C E ♥
In a world of stress and high rates of anxiety, we must remind ourselves to look to our Prince of Peace. We need to make our anxiety bow to our Lord Jesus, the Keeper of Peace and remember peace is a promise He keeps (inspired by the last 2 lyrics of Hillsong’s beautiful song: P E A C E.
“For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” (John 14:27)
Our Savior’s peace is beyond anything we can begin to understand. It’s more than the fake peace we get from this world, which is merely a false sense of reality where things seem to be going okay.
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)
His peace is inner calmness in our faith and trust in Him and His Holy Power. In Him, we find true peace, love, and security. He gives us peace of mind and heart. Love with no end and security in knowing He is always with us. He tells us not to be afraid because fear is a form of unbelief/lack of trust. (As hard as it is to admit that because I myself have anxiety).
However, He who came down from Heaven knows how we feel and that we can’t help it—that this world is sometimes too much for us. The One who knows our hearts know that it’s not that we don’t really believe but simply fail to remind ourselves to remember His Promises and that He doesn’t ever break them.
We also need to remember us He’s already overcome the world. All of it. Nothing has more power than our God so that’s our comfort. He triumphed and saved us—we shouldn’t fear anything. He is always right by our side.
“You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.” (Psalm 139:5 NLT)
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulations. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
He calls us to not only accept His Peace but spread it. To bring peace to one another through His Name. And His Perfect Love drives out all our fears. So, let’s remind each other of this!
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” (1 John 4:18)
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” (Matthew 5:9)
