Long overdue build of my Academy God Phoenix model kit!

The kit has so many awesome options! The wings can be flat like this, or folded down slightly (vehicle pick up position). You can opt to have the Bird Missiles popping out like this, or retracted with that section closed. Same for the Super Bird missiles and landing gear below the aircraft, and the vents underneath can be opened or closed. (I forgot to take pics with wings down, sorry!)

And it comes with all the G1 - G4 vehicles (all unpainted), with the option to have them visible, or have the God Phoenix in fully assembled mode.

The kit also has the option to add on pieces to put it in Firebird (Fiery Phoenix) mode!

I am not (yet) brave enough to tackle painting the smaller vehicles, or using the decals and stickers.

A work in progress... I finally got around to updating Phoenix's visual design. The 2011 version I included is pretty dated. I still like how its tail burns my eyes to dust if I look at it for more than 5 seconds though. I want to keep that but also expand her eyeburning repertoire and maybe even give her 1 more human form design since she IS supposed to have a ton. I would include native form variants like... piebald and stuff; even for Griffin I thought a melanistic or golden form would be cute, but man is it a lot of work and not top priority either. Suffice it to say, they have more range than what I depict. We'll see how much energy I'll have - I'm on the fence about drawing her fave human form for the sheet because I have recent examples of it. I've been putting off updating her self-roasting turkey form because... well look at it Anyway, now I can say "I have a tentacle cock monster mural on my acid trip chicken's ref sheet"
