Upgrade to a smarter GmailSecure, fast & organized emailOPEN(no subject)AAnica Billato me2 minutes agoDetailsOkay so basically what happened is that a friend of mine that I already have a love-hate relationship with she's honestly one of my closest friends at right now and she has been known for doing things to that give her attention she really loves attention and our whole friend group jokes about like suicide and like cutting but we make it as a joke but this morning I walked into my first period class and I sit down and I sit next to her and she tells me and the girl I'm sitting next to which is also my friend and shows her a styro cut on her wrist A singular styro cut on her wrist like right where your veins are and when I say styro I mean like literally a paper cut could have done more like it literally looked like her cat scratched her like there was nothing there that screamed I cut myself so basically I kind of got triggered because I've been clean for over a month and she just kind of kept talking about it and throughout the day like we would make jokes about something or like jokes about suicide or she'd say she's going to kill herself because she got a bad grade on a test and and anytime we would make a depressive joke about anything she would give us a look and point to her wrist almost saying that like she knew more than we did about what we were talking about which really annoyed me because I've dealt with self-harm for over 2 years she doesn't know anything about it I've been getting a lot better and I've been clean for a lot longer my relapse is haven't been as frequent anymore which I'm super grateful for but it just feels like a slap in the face almost that as soon as I get clean she starts being a little attention w**** and honestly I don't doubt that she has some mental illness going on but I know for a fact that she did not just cut herself if you even consider that a cut that she isn't actually doing it just because that's her coping mechanism she's doing it for attention my trigger got really bad though also because since I have been clean so long my scars are going away a lot and that is already been a trigger for me just the fact that I haven't done it in a long time and it my brain just feels like I need to again like I need to see blood so it's been really difficult for me to stay clean and just hurt talking about this has made me think about relapsing a lot just almost to prove her wrong and I know that sounds really rude and like an a****** but it's honestly how I feel right now it's almost like I need to prove myself that I have been dealing with this more because it's annoying because my other friend who's super nice was saying how we need to call her more and so she doesn't feel alone and it's just really annoying because I had to struggle all alone for 2 years and all of a sudden she's the big person we need to look out for even though it's literally just a tiny scratch it's not a cut it's a scratch and I'm not dissing anybody who does styro cut it's just the fact that her individually like did not cut because that's how she felt she cut because she wanted attention and I am positive of that whether she knows that or not.
