One day I joined the oldest Amor, dromedary herder,  his place in front of the caravan. The wind was strong and his song was constant. I realized as were were approaching the open desert, high on the dunes, that there were pathway appearing before us. It was like a moving highway opening up before our eyes.

The silence in the desert was one of the loudest I've ever heard. I realized that I sometimes hide (my emotions) behind the wall of noise of the city. In the desert, you become all vulnerable, exposed to, first of all, yourself. The journey within, was in fact my reason for wishing to embark on this journey.

Global Nomads Productions is proud to present the trailer "Visages du Sahara" 7 portraits of Marche Nomade. This exchange with Faical Ben Ali was a way to connect two nomadic ways. One that walks the Sahara desert and one whose eye, the camera, captures special moments in time around the world. Featuring Marche Nomade Benali Faiçal, Croizet Emmanuel, Wissem Ben Ali, Madeline Peloux, Amor Zaied, Amor, Marzoug, Chloe, Murielle, Isabelle, Mary and all those in front and behind the screens that made it possible.

The Sahara called me and I responded because I was willing to travel inside myself. Even though there was so much to see and experience outside of me,  the silence brought me closer to the sound of my heartbeat, the sound of the blood flowing through my veins, my pains, my frustrations, and all the things that were screaming inside of me to be released...Thanks to Emmanuel Croizet who was guiding the group from the French side, I managed to identify and free what needed to be released.
