COMMENT ARRIGO SACCHI A T-IL MARQUÉ L'HISTOIRE DU FOOTBALL ?
La fin des années 1980 a été marquée par un nouveau style de jeu amené par l'entraîneur Italien Arrigo Sacchi. L'emprunte qu'il a laissé sur le football est très grande et toujours très perceptible de nos jours. Pourquoi celui qu'on surnomme Le mage de Fusignano est considéré comme l'un des plus grands tacticiens de l'histoire ? Comment et à quel point a t-il influencé le football de son époque et celui d'aujourd'hui ?
Plusieurs joueurs entraînés par Arrigo Sacchi sont devenus plus tard des entraîneurs. Parmi ces techniciens on peut citer Carlo Ancelotti, Marco Van Basten, Frank Rijkaard, Mauro Tassoti, Roberto Donadoni...tous considèrent le technicien Italien comme celui qui aura le plus marqué leur carrière. Mais son impact est allé encore plus loin : plusieurs autres grands entraîneurs actuels s'inspirent aussi énormément de lui: Jürgen Klopp, Diego Simeone, Christian Gourcuff...
Aujourd'hui considéré comme l'un des plus grands entraîneurs révolutionnaires du football, au même titre que Rinus Michels, comment Arrigo Sacchi s'est forgé cette renommée ? Qu'apporta t-il véritablement à notre cher football ?
Son histoire
Tout a commencé très vite pour Arrigo Sacchi. "J'ai arrêté de jouer au football à l'âge de 19 ans car j'ai rapidement compris que je n'aurais jamais été un champion." C'est ainsi que Sacchi justifiait l'arrêt précoce de sa carrière de joueur et déjà une ambition: champion ou rien. Et il rétorqua souvent à ses détracteurs :"Je n’avais jamais réalisé que pour devenir jockey, il fallait d’abord avoir été un cheval..." Une preuve qu'un entraîneur peut avoir du succès même sans avoir été un grand joueur et il n'est pas le seul à avoir démontrer cela (Jürgen Klopp, José Mourinho...). C'est ainsi que le natif de Fusignano (commune italienne) s'en va très vite en Hollande étudier le football sur un plan théorique. Il reviendra en Italie en tant qu'entraîneur et il dirigea d'abord des équipes jeunes (AC Cesena, AC Fiorentina) et des équipes de divisions inférieures (Rimini calcio, FC Parme), avant de se faire remarquer par le récent President du Milan AC Silvio Berlusconi, alors impressionné par les idées novatrices du technicien Italien. "Lorsque je suis arrivé à Milan, Berlusconi m’a dit : ‘Je te donne trois ans’ et j’ai répondu : ‘C’est trop’." Il ne lui faudra qu’un an pour remporter la Serie A, et deux pour soulever la Coupe d’Europe des Clubs Champions (2 fois de suite). Mais les débuts de Sacchi sur le banc du club lombard ont été assez délicats. En effet, tout commence lors de la saison 1986-1987, lorsque le football Italien prônait le marquage individuel, la défense centrale à trois avec la présence d'un libero et plus globalement un jeu ultra défensif, Sacchi, lui, imposait aux rossoneri un tout nouveau style de jeu complètement différent qui était très offensif et très spectaculaire basé sur un pressing très haut et la défense de zone en 4-4-2. "J’ai dû convaincre, dans un pays qui pensait le foot en mode défensif, qu’une autre philosophie était possible, celle d’un jeu d’attaque. Il fallait convaincre que le foot était un jeu reposant d’abord sur une certaine idée du collectif. Un collectif tourné vers l’attaque. Il a fallu expliquer à des gens vivant et approchant le football d’une certaine façon que les connexions, les liaisons entre les joueurs, pouvaient renforcer finalement la sécurité et donc indirectement aussi le jeu défensif." déclarait Sacchi pour expliquer comment il a dû faire face à ceux qui rejetaient sa philosophie mais aussi ses méthodes, des méthodes très strictes et toutes aussi inédites comme avoir deux séances d'entraînements par jour, ce qui heutèrent ses joueurs. Les mauvais résultats s'en suivent donc, tant ses joueurs sont les premiers détracteurs de son style de jeu et de ses méthodes. Il aura fallu que le Président Berlusconi lui-même dise aux joueurs ceci: "Entre Sacchi et vous, je choisis Sacchi." Ce fut le déclic et le club entama une série incroyable qui lui permit de remporter la Série A 1987-1988 puis deux Coupes d’Europe des clubs champions en 89 et 90, deux Supercoupes d’Europe en 89 et 90, deux Coupes intercontinentales 90 et 91, une Coupe d’Italie en 89 et une Supercoupe d’Italie en 89. C'est ainsi qu'Arrigo Sacchi transforma le Milan AC en "le grand Milan AC". Quelques années plus tard, le mage de Fusignano dira: "on ne se souvient pas de mon Milan pour ses victoires, mais pour la façon dont il les a obtenu." Effectivement au delà de tous les titres remportés, le Milan AC a pratiqué un football nouveau, magnifique qui marqua et inspira plusieurs personnes (entraîneurs comme joueurs devenus entraîneurs plus tard). Justement ses successeurs tels que Lippi et Capello réprendront ses idées. Malheureusement après son passage à Milan, aucune autre équipe ne réussira à valoriser son génie et à s'adapter à ses méthodes très particulières. En effet, il a fait 3 ans (1991-1994) à la tête de la Squadra Azzura sans grand succès (il atteint tout de même la finale du mondial 94 qu'il perd aux tirs aux buts contre le Brésil). Puis il officiera aussi dans quelques autres clubs comme l'Atletico et Parme.
Sa philosophie
Dans cette partie on va considérer exclusivement son passage à Milan pour illustrer ses principes de jeu.
Comme mentionné plus haut, Arrigo Sacchi utilisait un 4-4-2 à plat sans libero (ce qui était inédit au pays du Catenaccio) et un pressing très haut: la première ligne (Gullit et Van Basten) empêchait les passes vers les milieux axiaux, le pressing était déclenché par la transmission pour le latéral, le milieu excentré (Donadoni ou Colombo) sortait agressivement, ses coéquipiers couvraient toutes les solutions autour, l'ailier opposé refermait jusque dans le rond central pour préserver la densité, l'étau se refermait. Un pressing si haut et permanent implique un bloc positionné très haut sur le terrain avec les 10 joueurs de champ régulièrement dans le camp adverse. Ce nouveau système mis en place par Sacchi est tellement efficace que lors de certains matchs, le gardien Galli ne touchera pas un seul ballon offensif. Le grand Milan d'Arrigo Sacchi finira même le championnat avec juste 14 buts encaissés terminant ainsi meilleure défense d'Italie sans avoir besoin d'une défense à 3 centraux : une véritable révolution au pays du Catenaccio. Mais on peut se demander comment Arrigo Sacchi gérait les contre attaques adverses (le revers de jouer en bloc haut : beaucoup d'espaces dans le dos de la défense que l'équipe adverse peut exploiter) ? Sacchi avait tout un Arsenal d'armes tactiques : le piège du hors-jeu, le double marquage, la diagonale défensive... aussi bien au niveau de la ligne arrière que la ligne médiane.
Des principes très strictes et très difficile à appliquer donc, pas étonnant que ses autres équipes ont eu beaucoup de mal à les assimiler.
Plusieurs entraîneurs actuels ont repris ces préceptes de jeu (notamment cette façon de défendre en 4-4-2). Illustrations :

Mais malheureusement, même si plusieurs coach affectionnent l'idée de jouer un football offensif avec un bloc très haut comme Arrigo Sacchi, très peu réussissent à appliquer à la lettre ses principes, surtout ceux défensifs précités plus haut. Celui qui les applique le mieux de nos jours c'est certainement Jürgen Klopp. Il déclara justement "l'entraîneur dont j'ai le plus appris est Arrigo Sacchi (...) Pour tout ce qu'il a fait avec son AC Milan, ces choses ont été mises en œuvre dans notre équipe. Quand je suis devenu entraîneur, je n'avais pas le temps de regarder à gauche ou à droite, mais la base de tout ce que je fais est ce qu'Arrigo a fait." Même si depuis un moment le technicien Allemand ne defend plus en 4-4-2 (mais en 4-3-3), à Mayence, à Dortmund et à ses débuts à Liverpool il pressait en 4-4-2 comme le mythique entraîneur Italien et il applique aussi plusieurs autres thèses de jeu que Sacchi a développé comme le piège du hors jeu (ce qui est très peu utilisé par les autres techniciens de nos jours mais pourtant très efficace).
Arrigo Sacchi considérait que le schéma est plus important que les hommes. Ses détracteurs diront qu'il préfère les schémas de jeu aux joueurs parce qu'il n'avait pas été vraiment joueur lui-même mais la réalité est plus profonde : son football demandait une très grande discipline aux joueurs, il donnait une grande importance à chaque joueur et son instinct mais tout en respectant le schéma de jeu. Par-exemple : le latéral pouvait faire tout ce qu'il voulait sur son aile, à condition de ne pas le faire dans une autre partie du champ de jeu. Sacchi prônait le fait que : "Un groupe ne se forme que si tout le monde parle le même langage et si tout le monde est apte au jeu collectif. On n’obtient rien tout seul, ou alors que des résultats éphémères. Je me réfère souvent à ce que disait Michelange : ‘l’esprit guide la main’" Toute une philosophie...il ne s'agit donc pas d'un principe qui limite l'exploit individuel mais qui limite l'anarchie. Des individualités au service d'un collectif. Ses joueurs appliquaient donc ces principes à la lettre et les gens disaient qu'ils se dopent pour expliquer le fait qu'ils courent tant mais à Arrigo Sacchi de leur répondre :"Nous ne courrons pas plus que les autres, nous courrons mieux qu'eux."
Pour terminer, la définition d'un entraîneur selon Arrigo Sacchi : "Un maestro qui donne un style. Il faut viser la qualité, pas le superficiel et la facilité. Je ne vais pas dans une boulangerie pour la boulangère mais pour le pain… L’exigence absolue, la rigueur, c’est ça un maestro."

[Resenha] Viva - A Vida É Uma Festa (sem spoilers)
Viva - A Vida É Uma Festa é o décimo nono título de longa metragem do estúdio de animação Pixar. A produção estreou no Brasil em 4 de janeiro de 2018, alguns meses após a estreia mexicana (20 de outubro de 2017) e mundial (22 de novembro de 2017). O filme arrecadou até o momento mais de 680 milhões de dólares no mundo todo apenas com a exibição; não é possível saber a receita gerada pelo filme como um todo pois a Disney não divulga a arrecadação com merchandising (produtos temáticos) de seus títulos, por exemplo.
Por carregar o nome da Pixar, a animação musical já prometia visual estonteante e carga emocional intensa, duas características muito presentes em praticamente todos os filmes já produzidos pelo estúdio. Viva - A Vida É Uma Festa é o filme da Pixar de maior duração de produção, tendo levado mais de seis anos (2011-2017) entre o esboço inicial e as telas do cinema do mundo todo. O filme foi apresentado inicialmente pela Disney como “Día de Los Muertos”, uma das celebrações mais importantes da cultura mexicana, o que levou a duras críticas da comunidade global, acusações de apropriação cultural e tentativa de lucro em cima da cultura latinoamericana. A companhia preferiu retroceder em relação ao título e anunciou, na E3 de 2015, o filme sob o novo título: Coco.

A história acontece inicialmente na pequena cidade de Santa Cecília, no México, e acompanha Miguel Rivera, um garoto de doze anos que ajuda sua família de sapateiros engraxando sapatos. Desde muitas gerações passadas, a família de Miguel tem aversão à música e todos são proibidos de ter contato com qualquer tipo de melodia. Como é de se esperar, o protagonista sente uma afeição sem igual pela música e por um cantor em especial, Ernesto de la Cruz, em quem se inspira, sonhando em um dia se tornar um grande músico. A aventura começa quando Miguel, após um desentendimento com sua família por causa de sua paixão incompreendida pela música, se vê preso no Mundo dos Mortos com os seus familiares já falecidos. Ele precisa percorrer um longo caminho para voltar pra casa, e aprende lições sobre amor, música e família.
A qualidade técnica da animação é a melhor apresentada pelo estúdio até hoje, como é de se esperar. A quantidade de luzes que compõem a cidade ultrapassa os sete milhões, entre postes, prédios, praças, luzes dos bondes, entre outras. As cores escolhidas para ajudar na composição das cenas são extremamente vivas - trazendo uma associação à morte que não é comum para a maioria das pessoas: ao abusar da iluminação, cores vivas e brilhantes, cada cena atribui ao Mundo dos Mortos vida e alegria, tornando aquele universo uma festa convidativa e animadora. A Pixar explora, através do Mundo dos Mortos, milhares de variações das cores, utilizando-se de grande parte do arcoíris e fazendo uso de cores que até então eram inéditas nas animações do estúdio e nas animações no geral. Essa técnica cria cenários únicos e marcantes, que ajudam a compor a beleza da narrativa e da exaltação de um momento cultural tão rico.
A imagem abaixo é de uma cena do filme em que Miguel e seu cachorro Dante atravessam a ponte que liga o Mundo dos Vivos ao Mundo dos Mortos. É notável a força visual da iluminação e dos tons escolhidos para transmitir a mensagem sobre ambos os lugares. A ponte em que Miguel caminha traz um efeito que é realmente transcendental, como a passagem entre os mundos seria.
Uma das características técnicas dos filmes do estúdio é a tecnologia da animação, que se desenvolve de forma experimental e é aprimorada a cada título. Os desafios de se animar objetos, cenários e personagens sempre esteve presente no cotidiano da Pixar: desde Luxo Jr. (o curta das luminárias), o estúdio se reinventa e evolui, estabelecendo o nível de qualidade das animações. Em Monstros S/A (2001), toda a penugem de Sully foi inserida manualmente, fio de cabelo por fio de cabelo, totalizando mais de dois milhões de pêlos, que eram animados individualmente para compor a aparência do personagem e conferir naturalidade ao balanço da penugem, e isso aconteceu há 17 anos. O estúdio aprimorou suas técnicas e venceu os desafios da animação, dando cabelo longo a Violet (Os Incríveis, 2004), criando água cristalina e convincente (Procurando Nemo, 2003), movimentando polvos de sete tentáculos (Procurando Dory, 2016), entre outros desafios que incluem até sacos de lixo, surpreendentemente. Uma dificuldade muito conhecida do estúdio sempre foi a animação de humanos no geral, algo que começou em Toy Story (1995), e continuou por anos e filmes, resultando em simplificações da anatomia humana, como a ausência de dedos do pé (Ratatouille, 2007). Após se desenvolver e atingir a animação de humanos com maestria (DivertidaMente, 2015), a Pixar elevou o nível novamente e encontrou, em Coco, o desafio de animar esqueletos humanos. Além dos movimentos dos personagens e a composição de 127 ossos por esqueleto (que precisaram ser coloridos e sombreados individualmente), era preciso conferir personalidade a cada um dos personagens, para que fossem individuais e conseguissem captar a afeição do público, algo difícil de se atingir tendo caveiras como grande parte dos personagens.
O estúdio optou por modificar a feição óssea dos personagens, dar-lhes olhos grandes e expressivos, perucas, chapéus e uma decoração típica das caveiras mexicanas, com detalhes delicados e coloridos.
A textura da pele humana chega muito perto da perfeição, principalmente nos personagens idosos. A evolução da pele é notável quando comparamos Carl Fredricksen (Up - Altas Aventuras, 2009) e Mamá Ines.
Um detalhe que confere aplausos mentais ao estúdio é a fidelidade com a qual a animação tratou a música. Toda a questão técnica musical é perfeita, como tocar violão, em que os acordes e notas são fieis ao que ouvimos. Quando Miguel toca seu violão, a interação entre seus dedos e o instrumento produziria o mesmo som na vida real. Houve a preocupação da Pixar em conferir realidade até aos detalhes que poderiam ser facilmente esquecidos.
O visual dos personagens tocando instrumentos não é o único aspecto encantador sobre a música no filme. A trilha sonora é fortemente baseada em diferentes estilos musicais mexicanos, e tem carga emocional suficiente para levar às lágrimas a maior parte do público.
Fazia muito tempo desde que a versão brasileira da trilha sonora de um filme da Disney não me conquistava tanto quanto a original. Eu gosto das versões brasileira das músicas de Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante (2013) e Moana (2016), mas sempre acabei ouvindo e me afeiçoando pelas versões originais ou de outros países (como esta versão de How Far I’ll Go em italiano). Com Viva - A Vida É Uma Festa, as traduções não só encaixaram perfeitamente na melodia como fizeram jus ao conteúdo das originais. Uma vantagem do nosso idioma que foi muito positivo para o título é a proximidade entre o espanhol e o português. Assim, foi possível misturar ambos os idiomas nas músicas, fazendo um uso excelente do portunhol, sem perder a essência mexicana e permitindo o entendimento do público brasileiro.

A dublagem ficou por conta do estúdio Tv Group (Zootopia, Gravity Falls, O Bom Dinossauro), trazendo novos nomes e participações especiais, como Rogério Flausino, vocalista do Jota Quest. Ele dubla Gustavo, um dos músicos do Mundo dos Mortos. Rogerio ainda ficou responsável pela versão single do tema do filme, Lembre de Mim. A versão original da música teve indicação ao Oscar e é a minha favorita pra vencer a categoria.
Um dos itens da minha lista de afazeres para 2018 é assistir ao filme dublado em espanhol, para imergir ainda mais na história e na cultura envolvendo a tradição do Día de los Muertos.
Avaliar o filme como um todo foi uma das minhas maiores dificuldades como aspirante a crítica de audiovisual. Não dá pra ser imparcial com esse filme por diversos motivos. Um desses motivos é o meu amor pela Pixar, que data do início do século. Com exceção de Carros (e seus derivados), todos os filmes e curtas do estúdio me encantam. O outro motivo, mais relevante nesse caso, é a temática do filme: ele lida com a importância da família, o amor por aqueles que se foram e o luto de uma maneira geral. Após uma perda recente, não tem como assistir cada minuto do filme sem pensar nos nossos familiares que se foram - especialmente meu irmão. Eu escutei a música tema dezenas de vezes e não consegui conter as lágrimas em nenhuma delas.

É o primeiro filme de animação que eu assisto que me deixa com essa sensação agridoce. Talvez eu esteja em um grupo específico do público alvo, a quem a mensagem do filme vai além. O apelo emocional do título se evidencia no final, em que você pode se emocionar pela trajetória do filme, pela sua própria vivência em relação ao tema ou pelas duas razões.
Viva - A Vida É Uma Festa é um universo em particular, uma jornada luminosa e colorida pela essência da vida e a importância da família. O filme lembra o público, de forma carinhosa, o quão importante é cultivar as memórias que temos com nossos amigos e familiares, para nos lembrarmos deles com amor e respeito, mantendo vivo o sentimento e a lembrança.
O filme talvez seja o melhor da Pixar até agora e já é um favorito. Como 10 é a maior nota possível, fico com ela.
