Considering leaving your job to start a business? Karnataka will provide Rs 25,000 per month, says Priyank Kharge
Tumblr media
The Karnataka government is offering a one-year subsidy of Rs 25,000 per month to those who have quit their jobs to follow their entrepreneurial dreams.
At the Startup Conclave in Bengaluru on August 9, Karnataka IT-BT Minister Priyank Kharge announced, “We are about to launch a unique entrepreneurship program, potentially the first of its kind in the country. If someone leaves their job to become an entrepreneur, we will provide a stipend of Rs 25,000 per month for a year. While this amount may seem modest given the high inflation, it will at least cover domestic expenses.
Kharge referred to the Karnataka government’s Elevate program as “the most-loved scheme for startups.” in order to emphasize its achievements.
“Startups registered with the Karnataka government that have participated in and won the Elevate program will find the Karnataka government as their initial customer,” said Kharge.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched the Rajiv Gandhi Entrepreneurship Programme (RGEP) in the budget for 2024–2025 for aspiring young inventors and entrepreneurs. The IT-BT department claims that young entrepreneurs with a background in science or engineering are the target audience for RGEP. For a duration of 12 months, they would earn a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000 in addition to mentorship from K-tech innovation hubs.
According to Kharge, a lot of business owners from other states have also registered their companies in Karnataka in order to participate in this encouraging ecosystem. “Bengaluru did not emerge as the fourth-largest technological center in the world by accident. We changed throughout time, going from being mainly a center for back office functions and IT-enabled services to becoming a pioneer in R&D. This development has spurred important discoveries and technologies. Karnataka leads the state in service exports and is ranked first in the Innovation Index, according to Kharge.
The minister announced plans to develop sector-specific corridors for startups, including an AI corridor linking San Francisco with Bengaluru. “We have also launched the Global Innovation Alliance with 32 countries, creating dedicated corridors for startups registered with the Karnataka government to facilitate their market access internationally. For example, Bengaluru-based startups have already established operations in Germany, Australia, and Belgium. No other state government is taking such risks for startups. We are actively pursuing this, and, more importantly, we offer substantial opportunities,” said Kharge.Read More-https://24x7newsroom.com/

BJP MLA Ameet Satam spoke of developmental plans at India Leadership Conclave
With the evolving issues of farmers, the government came up with ‘Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan’ to resolve the issues of water in the farming sector. A total of 5000 Cr is sanctioned for irrigating 12 lakh hector of land in just a span of 4 years.
Ameet Satam profusely credits the honesty, transparency and good governance of his party for everything they have achieved in their tenure. His party is responsible for the transformation of 61% of MOUs into reality bringing into net different aspects like Textile park at Amravati and Agro-Processing unit in Hingoli. These projects are on the verge of setting themselves off and are going to take off soon.
Moving on to India’s ease of doing business and Global Innovation, Maharashtra contributes about 60% of the total business in the country. Mumbai homes many big businesses and organizations which play a crucial role in this huge contribution to the country. India has moved from its ranking on Ease at doing business and global innovation from 170th position to 72 and this took place in a span of 5 years.
Ameet Satam then shared a small incident of proud that our CM Devendra Fednavis faced in his visit to the USA. He saw a demo model of Hyperloop there and people were amazed by this kind of invention. When the whole project is over and Hyperloop is set to run the tracks, the commute time from Mumbai to Pune will drop down to a whopping 20 mins.
He came to the end of his speech by talking about Artificial Intelligence and how is it going to change our lives forever. Artificial Intelligence has found its space in the agricultural sector and agro-processing Units. The government is making every effort to bring AI into every walk of our life to save the time of the citizens so that they can utilize their time doing something productive and contributing to the country.
With a humble thanks to all the audience, Ameet Satam moved on to receive felicitation. In the middle of a thundering applaud, He walked out of the stage.

Scusaci tanto, Sergio.

CPhI India concludes 2021 hybrid edition of CPhI – P-MEC Expo
Tumblr media
Informa Pharma Intelligence, one of the business intelligence providers and knowledge partner, concluded its involvement at this year's CPhI & P-MEC Expo, a hybrid conclave hosted between 24 to 26 November 2021 at India Expo Centre – Greater Noida and at the online conference and networking event held between 15 to 30 November 2021.
The conclave witnessed participation from key influencers and leading figures across the pharmaceutical industry, and hosted domestic and foreign drug makers, contract service providers, and pharma machinery players under one roof, providing them with a chance to craft future growth plans together.
Indian pharmaceutical market’s expansion
India's pharmaceutical market is in the midst of a growth spurt, having increased in value from $21bn in 2016 to $29bn in 2020 – a figure that is expected to reach $41bn by 2024. Key industry drivers include a rise in disease prevalence, economic growth and higher disposable incomes, improvements in the healthcare infrastructure, and growth in the number of people covered by health insurance. In a bid to stay afloat during the need to step up the demand towards high quality, low-cost pharma solutions, CPhI & P-MEC India has curated a gateway to network with industry peers for the latest trends and innovative solutions that the market has to offer.
The event is geared towards building pharma community engagements, network amongst the fraternity, and source innovative solutions on-site from exhibitors who have footprints both domestically and globally, and cover the entire pharma supply chain - from APIs, machinery, technology, packaging, outsourcing, finished products and biopharmaceuticals. Alongside the expo, and under the aegis of the India Pharma Week, an exclusive and strategic closed door CEO Roundtable meeting took place, inviting the top leaders of India's pharmaceutical companies. The 'CEO Roundtable' was conducted on 24 November in partnership with Informa Intelligence, whose perspectives and key discussion points will also yield a white paper report.
The pharma industry is anticipated to have a steady growth trajectory and the event organized by CPhI India has focused on the key driving factors for the same. The expansion of medicine manufacturing pertaining to the evolving epidemiological profile of the country will be instrumental for India being the preferred drug manufacturing destination on a global scale. Additionally, the event aims to encourage the development of the research-based pharma fraternity.

India has, over the years established itself as a software hub for the world. The Software Technology Parks of India has played a vital role in achieving this status. Now the time has come to claim the advantage of becoming the manufacturing hub of the world with pioneering Industry 4.0 technologies. Early samples of success of  Make in India
With India rapidly progressing in digitalization, the launch of “Tez” in India is a great example of ‘Make in India, For the World’. Tez was a standalone project for digital payments, launched exclusively for Indians. Developed by Google, popularly known as Tez in 2017, is now a household payments app, Google Pay.  This digital payment app is a widely used online payment platform not just in India, but in more than 40 countries, with over 150 million users.
United Payments Interface (UPI) is India’s own real-time mobile payments system developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NCPI) in 2016. By 2019, the UPI system crossed 1 billion transactions and over 100 million users, merely three years after its launch. It has recently been launched in UAE making its global foray. This could be the big breakout moment for Indian fintech solutions to gain a global leadership position. Are we working towards the vision?
Currently, Automotive, Electronics System Design & Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Roads & Highways, Pharmaceuticals, and Food Processing have been identified as the 6 Superstar Sectors Boosting the “Make in India” Mission. It is one of the golden opportunities, helping to put India on the globe of becoming the design-led electronics manufacturing hub and attract investments and create high skill jobs in the country.
Automotive firms are taking up the opportunity to power up India as a hub for low-cost, high-quality manufacturing capabilities. The Automotive Mission Plan 2026 seeks to establish the automotive industry as the driving force behind the Make in India initiative.
Ambitious start-ups are pioneering EV manufacturing for the world markets.
The renewable energy potential in India is immense and mostly unexplored. India has vowed to meet a minimum of 40% of its energy requirements from renewable sources by 2030.  This includes an ambitious project to build 100 GW of solar energy capacity by 2022. With energy security being a major concern and driver, many a start-up and large corporates have ventured into the green energy space.
This ecosystem creates numerous opportunities for niche skills in India. Innovation and entrepreneurship are developing emphasis areas that are being aggressively encouraged in order to give the Indian economy a boost. Bridging the talent gap
India has transformed itself into a nation of opportunities, and we have a young demographic advantage, a large pool of talent and skills that will assist India in taking advantage of the global opportunity. Skills in the field of Data Science, AI/ML, Robotics, Automation, R&D, Hardware, 5G and more, are in high demand and India is home for young and dynamic skilled individuals.
But driving India's vision necessitates proper human capital. India needs a pool of highly qualified professionals who can lead the high-tech evolution and keep India on the cutting edge of technology. And in the world of cutting-edge technology, experience is everything.
India's vision for talent must be as ambitious as the country's goal. If the organization's objective is to be a global game changer, India must look out for game-changing talent. The highly seasoned and competent NRI Techies with experience and exposure to cutting-edge technologies would be the most ideal in this hunt for talent. To tap into this large pool of human resources would be India’s best bet for obtaining the perfect people to match the country’s ambition. Conclusion With India now having the world's third-largest start-up ecosystem pushing breakthroughs across industries, the country has unbeatable potential to become the world's next Technology & Manufacturing hub. If India is to be regarded as the worldwide center for tomorrow's technologies, it is only logical that the top global talent will find a home here. With the right talent, the industry can work to achieve India’s vision of ‘making for the world’ a resounding success.

‘Changing warfare makes partnerships key’
Tumblr media
BENGALURU: Defence minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Air Staff RKS Bhadauria on Wednesday underlined the need for enhanced partnerships between friendly nations as India kicked off the chiefs of air staff (CAS) conclave aimed at enhancing effective utilisation of aerospace power, specifically in the Indo-Pacific region. “Conclaves like these provide an excellent opportunity to address security and challenges and provide mutual benefits amid changing threat matrix and changing nature of warfare,” Bhadauria said, adding that with the advent of new technologies the understanding of national boundaries have shifted beyond classical definitions. Singh said India’s indigenous defence and aerospace sector has many success stories like LCA, ALH, AeW&CS, radars, missile systems, among others. “It is essential for india to achieve self-reliance… IAF has commissioned a major indigenisation drive for sustenance of all maintenance of aircraft. This will boost the efforts,” Singh said while reiterating the various reforms the Centre has introduced in the last six years. He said the domestic defence manufacturing has now improved and that the trajectory can only be upwards. “Recent conflicts show how warfare is changing. India is building capabilities to handle this. Budgetary constraints limit our goals of building armed forces…Given this, we must have a robust mechanism to share technologies and best practices,” Singh said, adding that friendly countries must work together. Stating that the Indian aerospace sector will come of age and become a significant player globally, Bhadauria said India was central to peace, security and stability in the region. Calling for international cooperation, he said such cooperation can be created but it needs to be backed by credible and appropriate military power. Pointing out that attacks now originate without warning several time zones away, he said the exponential technological progress made has made access to technologies like drones easy for both state and non-state actors. Such technologies are lethal and agile, he added. “We (IAF) are focussing on developments on UAV/drone capabilities, communication, navigation and weapons delivery systems and technologies,” Bhadauria said. He added that in the changing scenario, space-based assets have become critical. “They are both force multipliers and targets,” he said. “In the digital game, software has become as key as hardware and adversaries are increasingly targetting this. The degree of anonymity and remote operations of such adversaries has created a need for new mechanisms,” he added. The air chief said that multi-domain situational awareness has become the need of the hour for decision makers and said that an integrated system of all friendly nations could go a long way in achieving this. IAF, he said, has a potent network-centric capability and that the force is also working with domestic industries to build multiple artificial intelligence (AI) based tools to enhance operational efficiency.
