How they did Kid Loki so dirty in the Loki Series
I'm not even angry any more. Maybe they'll even squeeze this (checks notes) murderous pseudo child into a young avengers production with Wanda's kids. But like
What about Loki's reincarnation? What about Ikol? Kid Loki *loved* Thor and Thor loved him back so wholesomely because they were able to finally be brothers without the baggage first. What about Kid Loki's murder?? What about young adult Ikol and his quest to truly become someone new without discarding his past sins but working through them?
im absolutely convinced one of the show's major pitfalls was throwing in comic easter eggs that were supposed to be significant but why was never touched upon so they didn't really make sense. examples include: sylvie's outfit+her name+broken AoA helmet+vote loki+classic loki's outfit+siege loki outfit+viking loki+'laevateinn'+kid loki+possibly killing thor+god of outcasts+sif's hair+time keepers
If they don't bring Ikol in they could stick to a Kid Loki corruption arc I suppose? Depending on how accepting people are that he's not the same Loki that could work. Bringing the actual timeline's previous Loki back as a bad guy wouldn't, so unless a Bad Loki universe-jumps or time-jumps to where he is it'd be tricky, and even then it wouldn't really have the same impact I would think as the comic run.
Then again, the MCU doesn't have to go in the direction of the comics, and they're in a state of clownery to do who-knows-what.
I heard they just didn't decide on Kid Loki's backstory other than that he'd killed Thor and had been in The Void for the longest (which was why he was the king??) so that's. something.
#they really introduced and never touched upon the introduced lokis#like.#right after episode 2 showed us viking and hulk and jotun and cyclist variants they only reused one and then it was glamshades loki#im actually genuinely questioning why the lokis know magic and have had impeccable fashion before but now dress like dumpster divers#the only outfits i respected were the license plate kid loki vote loki and sylvie ones and even those were on thin ice#i feel the show generally threw information at us then tried to do it again but everything it got across was done so BADLY#like.........there's 1 female variant and THAT'S what sets her apart from the others?#if the void is filled with lokis and they can all enchant why hasn't anyone ELSE tried to enchant allioth?#the Loki show#on one hand i enjoyed things because even if they lasted 2 seconds it's good fanfic material to have this stuff on-hand#on the other>>???? why does kid loki have laevetinn??? which main timeline loki never was shown touching???????#sorry but why is classic loki in spandex#sylvie and loki fighting in front of the doors to the time keepers when they BOTH want to go in was so pointless#loki and sylvie's love causing a branch on the timeline was never explained or repeated ever again#the plot was around sylvie with loki barely strung along and his 'growth' wasn't shown happening it just did spontaneously??????#power of love i suppose?????#but the backstories of the lokis not being fleshed out (or even known by the actors in Kid Loki's case) was so bad#i continue to assume Kid Loki was labeled King because he killed his Thor and the title was not out of it being a good thing
