༄ A Second Chance for Tsumiki’s Happiness
༄ An analysis on why I think Megumi chose this memory a second time, for his final moment before death.
When Yuji accepted Megumi’s wish to die, Megumi knew that he didn’t have to continue living because Yuji was finally going to get rid of Sukuna and take him down along with him.
But, when Yuji saw him again after that scene, he found young Megumi in the same memory that changed his life forever. The scene where he chose to become a sorcerer, to protect Tsumiki’s happiness.
I always implied that we see this memory a second time because it was supposed to be a representation of Megumi walking towards death to join Tsumiki in the afterlife.
I think this is what's being presented because, in the memory where Gojo finds Megumi, Megumi was on his way home to Tsumiki, who we saw later on, waiting and watching through their window for him to arrive.
This small but significant detail of Tsumiki waiting for Megumi is important because it seems Megumi wished to return to the day when he accepted Gojo’s offer to become a sorcerer.
After all, he knew that if he went back to that day he could just keep walking forward, instead of turning around; he could choose to join Tsumiki at home, instead of choosing to become a sorcerer.
(He even turns back around to face his home mid way through his convo with Gojo. It looks like a part of him wanted to just go inside instead of hear Gojo out.)
༄ Tsumiki’s Happiness
From my understanding, Megumi never wanted to be a sorcerer for his own sake. He only chose that path because it was his only way at the time, to bring Tsumiki happiness.
Megumi further proves this point when he talks about his dream life because he didn't mention being a sorcerer at all. He only mentioned wanting to create a world where Tsumiki wouldn't have to suffer and if he couldn't do that he wanted to at least be able to preserve their fragile life.
༄ Tsumiki was the first person Megumi truly wanted to save and not being able to do so, made him lose his will to continue living life, without her.
If you remember, at the end of the Shibuya Incident arc, Kenjaku said that they carefully picked every person they gave cursed objects. We find out later that Tsumiki became the vessel for Yorozu, meaning she was given her cursed object.
This implies that Tsumiki was specifically targeted to be used in their Jujutsu terrorism because she was involved in the world of sorcery, through Megumi.
I think Megumi understood that this was the case, and couldn't help but blame himself for becoming a sorcerer, even though it wasn't his fault.
In his mind, the day he chose to become a sorcerer is what would eventually lead Tsumiki to her downfall. Her death meant he wasn’t able to protect her happiness, the one thing he so dearly wanted to do, from such a young age.
At the end of the day, all he ever wanted out of agreeing to be a sorcerer, was to make his older sister happy. If Tsumiki was happy, he would be happy as well. A life without her had no meaning because ultimately, her happiness was his reason for living.
༄ Final Thoughts
Megumi returning to that same memory gives off the impression that maybe, just maybe there was a small feeling inside of him, where he believed that he could get a second chance at protecting Tsumiki’s happiness, by joining her in the afterlife.
He already knew that the life he lived as a sorcerer didn’t bring her happiness. Choosing to go home instead of choosing to be a sorcerer, would give him another chance to save her. They could both start over and continue living their life, together in peace, without being involved in the cruel, harsh world of Jujutsu Sorcery.
༄ I will make a separate post [Part 2], explaining why I think Megumi *chose* to turn around a second time, in the scene with Yuji, instead of joining Tsumiki at home/joining her in the afterlife.♡

He did the best he could in my eyes.#Remember this guy was a teen when he found Megumi and Tsumiki.

Prompt #15 with Megumi? Rivals to lovers with happy ending please ♥️
There you go, I'm so so sorry this took so long <3 I hope you still enjoy it, I find it quite hard to write enemies to lovers under 5000 words :D
Opposites attract
Pairing: Megumi x fem!reader
Word Count: 3,3k
Synopsis: Megumi hated you the moment you stepped into Jujutsu High for the first time. As time flies, he always sees himself confronted with you on missions. However, one of these missions makes him rethink his feelings towards you
Warnings: Megumi is an ass from time to time, language
„Why am I here, blindworm?“
There you sit, sloughing on your chair at the classroom, feet stretched out in front of you. Damn, you were taking the best nap of your life when your stupid sensei came storming in and woke you up rudely. He surely wants to send you on another mission – hopefully alone. If you have to work with one of these losers again, you break off.
Especially him.
God, you truly hated Megumi Fushiguro. His quiet way, tall figure and calculating personality. He is quite the opposite of your outspoken, confident and risky self. Maybe that’s why you two don’t get along at all. And maybe that’s the reason why you always end up together. Hopefully not today…
“As charming as ever, I like that. I have a mission for you, (y/n)!”, Gojo cries out in joy.
“Again? I just returned from one. Remember?”
“I remember that you wiped the floor with Megumi’s ass, even though that wasn’t exactly the task”, he replies dryly.
“Yeah, that was fun.”
Both you and Megumi are grade 2 sorcerers while being in your first school year, which means that you can basically carry out missions alone but are happily sent together by Gojo for more complicated matters – much to your chagrin and probably his. So whenever you get the chance to give Megumi a hard time you gladly seize the opportunity.
“Don’t be so rough, I know you have a sweet spot for charming boys like him.”
Oh, you know all too well that your sensei just wants to get on your nerves. But as soon as he mentions positive feelings towards a coward like Megumi, you can’t help but explode.
“Shut up, ew! I have no sweet spot for anybody!”
“Yeah, everyone here knows that”, Megumi’s low voice mumbles behind you.
“You.”
Your voice is shaking in venom while the vein on your forehead threatens to pop out any minute.
“What the hell is that loser doing here?”, you groan, face completely twisted in annoyance.
You just knew it. Seems like it’s Satoru’s favorite job to annoy the shit out of you by always putting the two of you together.
“Come on, give me Panda. Or what about Maki? Some girl-power would be nice. But not that”, you hiss through gritted teeth.
“God, you’re so full of yourself. Remember the last time when I saved your puny figure from getting eaten alive by that curse? You’re probably the worst and cruelest person I’ve ever met”, Megumi barks back in annoyance.
“I don’t mind being the villain in your story because you’re a clown in mine, Fushiguro.”
“That was the nicest conversation you two had in a long time, great! Now let’s get to work, I’m sure you’re doing just fine my children!”, Gojo interrupts while hugging you both.
Is there a way out of this madness? Maybe you can pretend you’re sick, too weak to go on a mission. But that’s not your standard and you know that. Giving Megumi the satisfaction of staying at home while he gets beaten up isn’t an option.
“Maybe I’m lucky and you die on me”, you mumble under your breath, storming out of the room faster than Megumi can follow past Yuji who just stares at you in awe.
God, Megumi hates you so much. How can a person be so full of herself? Yes, your abilities are quite outstanding, your curse technique is very good for being a first class student and to be honest you are actually pretty handsome, but the problem is that you are very aware of those facts. And you make no bones rubbing that into everyone’s face – especially his. His stolen glance is set on your back. You do have a really nice figure, feminine curves even though you train several hours a day. Yes, really attractive.
He shakes his head in disbelief. What the hell is he thinking? You are the crappiest person he knows, everything about you is disgusting, he hates you!
“Wow, they really hate each other”, Yuji comments, eyes following the two of you in disbelief.
“No, they don’t. Trust me, this is something completely different. And I love nothing more than teasing that out”, Gojo replies with a cheeky grin.
______________________________________________________________
“Stop breathing so loud, Fushiguro.”
Kiyotaka can’t help but glance at you in the rearview mirror, too stunned to speak by your nonsensical words. Why does Gojo keep sending the two of you on missions together? The air in the car is so thick that it could be sliced by a katana.
“Rot in hell, (y/n).”
He never heard such cruel words come out of Megumi’s mouth except when you are around.
“I’m already there, you’re here after all”, you bark back.
“Stop fighting you two, we’re almost there.”
Your gaze wanders around the rainy area. Somehow he’s right, you should focus on your mission. The fact that two of you were sent here can only mean that it’s going to get ugly. Once again it’s about a school, once again a lot of young people are dying. You need to stop this madness.
“There you are, I’ll create the curtain now. Good look you two.”
“Skilled people don’t need luck, but maybe it’ll help you Megumi.”
His blood boils in anger, just a glimpse into your stupid pretty faces challenges his self-control all over. Who do you think you are?
“What’s wrong with you? Can you just pull yourself together until we ended this mission? I hate you too, but now we have to work”, Megumi smacks into your direction.
“Always the good boy, such a role model! I want to puke in your face, it makes me fucking sick!”, you challenge him, watching as his facial expression darkens with every word.
“You.”
With a swift motion, you’re trapped against the wall by his body. Your sharp and fast breath hangs in the thick air between you two, the way he pins your wrists against the brick wall makes…sparks fly. You can’t help but notice his striking blue eyes when he glares down at you, the warmth that radiates from his body along with his delicious scent. Fuck, what is wrong with you? Why is your face heating up under his gaze, why does it feel so…good to feel his frame pressed against your own? His lips suddenly look so inviting, so warm and soft. But no, you hate him, you hate Megumi since you first met, he is everything you despise reincarnated in one person. God, he annoys you so badly, you need to get out of his grip, you need to-
“Stop it. I’m serious”, he gasps against your face, lips so close to your own that you can feel his breath brush against your now prickly skin.
Fuck, you see stars. His grip around your wrist tightens, his face is getting closer to yours. Will he…? No, that’s impossible, Megumi hates you with all his heart, he told you over and over again. And you hate him too since the moment you first laid your eyes on him. But why…why do you feel the urge to press your lips against his?
“Or what?”
Your voice is suddenly so soft and vulnerable. God, you look so adorable with that pink blush creeping up your cheeks, lips parted and doe eyes wide open. That desire, that urge to brush his lips against yours seems to become unbearable. Just once, just this one damn time. Just to prove to himself how disgusting you are.
Boom.
It happens faster than any of you can react. The wall behind you explodes and buries you under its rubble.
You are instantly greeted by scorching pain consuming your whole body. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Blood streams down your face like a waterfall, your right leg aches in the most disgusting way imaginable.
“Fuck, are you alright (y/n)?”, Megumi screams, eyes widen in horror.
So much blood. Your whole body seems to be covered in crimson. Even though you’re not screaming or even groaning, he can clearly see the shock creeping up your eyes when realization hits you. But he has to focus on that curse. Yes, he needs to take care of that before he can help you.
You desperately try to free yourself from the debris that threatens to crush your body while Megumi fights off the curse that seems to be responsible for all of this. As usual, his facial expression is dead serious while his little shikigami work for him.
“How bad is it?”, he questions, eyes focused on the monster in front of him.
Your leg feels like burning alive, a little glance at your body is enough for you to realize that you are not well. Maybe even so critical that time is running out for you.
“It’s bad”, you hiss back while pressing your trembling hand against the gash in your thigh.
A few broken ribs, a laceration on the head, here and there some open wounds and abrasions – nothing too serious, you’ll get over that. But the giant gash in your thigh is definitely something else. Your leg was almost completely pierced by an iron rod. Surely that wouldn’t be a problem either if the bar was still in you, but it isn’t. And that’s why you’re bleeding out at the moment.
Finally that curse is gone. Just a look at you is enough to make Megumi turn pale in an instant. You’re sitting in a pool of your own blood, lids hanging heavy in your eyes. His heart skips a beat when realization hits him like a wall. You could die right here if he doesn’t do anything.
“Come on, let’s get you out of here”, he mumbles, hands on their way to grab your body.
“I don’t need your help, Fushiguro”, you growl at him.
“Are you sure? Cause it sure does look like it”, Megumi replies dryly and begins to inspect your wounds.
“If even half of that blood is yours you need to get out of here right now. I’m calling Gojo-sensei.”
“Everything hurts”, you blur out.
The sight of your terrified eyes makes Megumi’s heart sink in his chest. He has never seen you like this. But what’s even worse is the fact that he is so damn worried about you, that the thought of losing you alone makes his breath hitch.
“Stay with me. Don’t close your eyes.”
His voice sounds so soft, echoes as sweet as honey in your ear.
“Megumi.”
His strong arms free you from the rest of the rubble above you and lift your numb body off the ground with ease. Your vision slowly but surely begins to get blurry, it gets so hard to keep your tired eyes open.
“What is it, (y/n)?”, he softly asks while maneuvering his shikigami around in order to find the other curses that have to be here.
“I don’t remember a moment where you were so kind to me”, you purr.
“Well, that’s because there wasn’t a single moment where you were so kind to me”, he remarks with a small smile.
“I h-have to say…That…That you’re not…t-that bad.”
Your words are a true mess, so quiet that he has to focus on your low voice in order to understand. But oh you look so lovely, wearing a soft smile on your lips and that tender gleam in your eyes makes his heart skip a beat. Over and over, he told himself that he truly hates you, that you are an evil person that doesn’t deserve his affection. Always keen to hide his stolen glances and the way your sight makes him hold his breath. Your body, your brain, your everything. But seeing you like this, vulnerable laying in his hands, he can’t help but admire you. Admire a woman this strong and independent, a woman who never fears anything.
“You’re pretty okay too I guess”, he replies, hands wrapped tighter around your sagging body.
“How about staying awake for a little longer? I bet you can’t make it until we’re back at Jujutsu High.”
“I bet I will, asshole.”
____________________________________________________________
“She kept bugging me about telling you that she stayed awake to the end. And that you’re a loser.”
“So she’s fine, that’s great!”, Gojo proclaims and pads Megumi’s shoulder.
It was a close call, he knows it. And that sweet seconds just before the wall behind your back shattered…What was that? Affection? No, no, no. That’s simply not possible. You are the worst person walking on this planet. The thought of you alone makes his gut twist in disgust and heats up his face. You drive him crazy like no other. And the fact that you almost died and were a decent person for one second won’t change that.
“Should have left her there. I’m leaving”, Megumi mumbles and turns away.
Why was he here anyway? Shoko already stitched him up a few hours ago, he has no business being in the hospital wing. “Didn’t you want to visit her, Megumi-chan?”
“I would rather train with you than seeing her. Why would I care about her well-being?”, he remarks quickly.
Gojo and Shoko watch him as he storms out.
“Do they really think they hate each other?”
“Yup”, Gojo confirms.
The fresh air of the evening hits his face with full force. Fuck, what the hell is wrong with him? Why is he feeling this way? He shouldn’t be worried about your well-being, he shouldn’t care at all about the fact that you are injured. After all, you put yourself in that situation. God, he just hates you so much. In his world, there’s no place for positive feelings towards you. But still… He stops in his tracks, eyes glued to the ground.
Why does he want to turn around, to let his feet carry him into the hospital room, to sit beside you? What is it that urges him to at least check on you? Pictures of you flood his mind. Your breathtaking smile, the stunning glimmer in your eyes, the confidence that’s dripping from your sweet voice. Why do you have to be so damn perfect and why the hell is his heart beating so fast by the thought of it alone?
As if in trance, he begins to walk back into the direction of the hospital wing, back where you are. He has to prove to himself how much he hates you just one more time. Just once…
He quietly sneaks past the room where he hears Shoko and Gojo still talking. If you have to stay for the night, you have to be down the corridor on the right. Over and over, he looks over his shoulder. If someone catches him sneaking up on you he might need to burry himself alive. All the jokes, the constant teasing from Gojo about you and him really get on his nerves. Why can’t they see that he fucking hates you?
There it is, the door to you. As noiseless as possible he opens it and gets immediately greeted by your gaze. You almost look surprised when he closes the door behind him again and awkwardly stands in the middle of the room, simply staring at you with his hands in his pockets.
“Didn’t expect you here”, you comment dryly.
“Yeah, I didn’t plan on coming either.”
“Did Shoko tell you that I stayed awake?”
“Sure.”
“And that you’re a loser?”
He gifts you with his most annoyed look.
“Yeah.”
“Good. Listen, there’s something I wanted to tell you in person…”, you begin while nervously fumbling with your fingers.
This catches Megumi off guard. You always know what to say or react. How is it possible that you are jumpy? And to top it off, because of him?
“Why did you save me, Megumi?”
What on earth is going on? He scratches the back of his head, too stunned to speak. Are you serious?
“Just because you think I’m the bad guy doesn’t mean I am a bad guy, y’know”, he mumbles.
You let his words sink in, gaze never leaving his face. The last hours really showed you that Megumi isn’t as bad as you always tried to make yourself believe. He saved you despite all the things you said to him without even blinking, risking his own life to save yours. Maybe…maybe it isn’t even hatred you feel towards him.
But something completely different.
“I will never say this again but…I think you’re my favorite enemy”, you confess quietly with a small smile.
Megumi’s heart stops beating for a second, your sweet words triggering feelings in him he tried so hard to avoid. God, how many nights did he tell himself that you are no good, that he just has to hate you with all his heart? But…Is he really hating you though?
“I can probably give that back”, he mumbles.
For once in his life, Megumi sees nothing but your striking beauty and brain when his gaze meets yours. Maybe, just maybe you aren’t as bad as he thought you are. But why does he feel so strongly towards you? What the hell is wrong with his heart?
“Let me kiss you. Just once. Just to prove myself that I hate you”, he blurts out.
You hold your breath, dopamine, adrenalin and who knows what other hormones pump through your veins and leave you dizzy for a second. You didn’t just hallucinate him saying that, right? The sincerity in his eyes tells you he’s dead serious.
“Sure”, you reply automatically.
With fast steps he crosses the room, now standing in front of you. And then he bends down to your bed, grabs your face and kisses you so passionately that you forget how to breathe for a moment. Your tongue intertwines with his, dancing in the most delicate way while you hold onto his strong shoulders for support. Is this really happening or are you dreaming again? Just a few hours ago, you spat venom at him like every other month before. But this…This feels so much better than constantly insulting him and to pretend that you hate him with all your heart. You realize with all clarity of your intense kiss that you probably never really hated him. No, this feeling his completely different from disgust.
He breaks away from you, panting hard just like you. Your glossy eyes look up to him, hands still resting against his shoulders.
“Yes, I do. I absolutely hate you”, he breathes out.
“I hate you too”, you moan before pulling him close with all force for another passionate kiss.
Maybe, just maybe Megumi Fushiguro isn’t so bad after all.
But just maybe.
_____________________________________________________________
Bonus:
“Oh, (y/n)! Are you feeling any better?”, Yuji shouts at you while waving you over.
“OMG, are you seeing this. Am I dreaming?”, Nobara mutters next to him, completely mesmerized by the sight of you and Megumi.
Are those shikigami? Your hand is intertwined with Megumi’s, the both of you walking next to each other and…smile? Since when exactly are you smiling at Fushiguro?
“What do you mean?...Wait, when the hell did this happen?”
“Megumi, I thought you hate (y/n)!”
“Would you two mind to stop staring at us like that? (y/n) and I are kind of a thing now”, Megumi explains briefly while stopping in front of both of his friends.
“Did he force you into this, (y/n)?”, Nobara whispers in your ear.
You let out a heartfelt laughter, the confusion of your friends matching with your own.
“This might be the worst decision I ever made, but let’s see how it all works out.”
Megumi gives you a reproachful look and squeezes your hand firmer. Oh, even in a relationship, there will always be that small part of him that hates you.
Along with the much bigger part that loves you with all his heart.

Exhausted. Heavy. Drained. That was all you felt.
Once you were able to go through the door of your dorm room, all you wanted to do was to fall flat on to the wooden floor and lay there for who knows how long. 5 minutes? 30 minutes? An hour? Maybe even a whole day? You were just extremely exhausted. However, you knew that you had to train with your classmates for the Kyoto Sister School Goodwill Event the next day, so sleeping on the cold floor was no the best option.
Slowly struggling to make your way to your bathroom, you quickly gripped onto the side of the sink so you didn’t lose your balance due to your fatigue from today’s mission that you had to go on alone. From what you could even recall for the few past weeks, you were constantly being set on different missions at random times due to the lack of sorcerers there were in the school nowadays. From your knowledge, the third years were suspended for the time being, Gojo was constantly being set out for domestic travels as well as some business behind the scenes that you weren’t informed about, Nanami reported to you that he was investigating a crime that had occurred at Kinema Cinema and the first years (your year) and the second years were training for the event, leaving you the only Grade 1 sorcerer within Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College to be set these missions that seemed to be endless at this point.
Since the beginning, you knew that this was going to be your life once you step foot into the Jujutsu Sorcerer school, but you weren’t aware of the constant hardships that were randomly going to be set out to you. Ijichi even commented that this was unusual for a first-year student like you to be sent on numerous mission like the ones you’ve completed - some even being back to back on the same day - leading him to apologies every time you would enter his car to which you would always tell him that it was never his fault - how could it be? It wasn’t his fault that the higher-ups were demanding you to go off to do these missions. You felt exceedingly guilty for making him continuously drive you around to the locations and waiting for you to finish, not even knowing if you were going to come back alive or not.
However, you couldn’t be more grateful that he was in your company during this draining time. If it wasn’t for Ijichi in your presence, you knew you would have broken down earlier than you had now.
Turning on the faucet, you immediately heard a stream of water gushing from the spout before it was slowly filling up the bowl with the clear liquid. All you wanted to do was to plant your face in and scream out all the intense pressure that has been placed upon your shoulders. Yet you knew, it wasn’t that easy. It never was.
Before you would even realise what was happening, the hand that was gripping onto the sink suddenly slipped causing the remaining strength that you had in you to disappear as your body immediately fell onto the white tiled floor.
You were at your breaking point.
You felt tears begin to uncontrollably stream down your face causing you to grip the top of your head before lacing your fingers tightly onto your hair - so tightly that you could pull out a few strands from your clasp - trying to release at least some of the pressure that was running through your veins.
Suddenly, you heard a knocking sound from the distance, for a second, distracting you from the state that you were in now. However, you didn’t answer. You didn’t have the strength to. You didn’t have the effort to tell the person to go away nor open your mouth to make a sound. The knocking still continued even with your lack of response, but still, there was no response with you.
“Y/N? Are you there?”
Megumi. Megumi was at the door. Yet you still didn’t have the effort to answer your boyfriend. You were just at the point where you were just burnt out - the higher-ups have really burned you to the point of mental and physical exhaustion.
“Y/N, your door is unlocked, I’m coming in,”
‘No...please don’t’
However, there was no use. You had already heard the click on your handle being pushed down before your door swung open, followed by the tapping of footsteps being heard as Fushiguro began to walk into your room, trying to locate where you were.
“Y/N, where are you?” Fushiguro asked in a worried tone since he was informed by Iijchi that you had returned and that you had most likely stationed yourself in your dorm room after being treated by Ieiri, due to the number of missions that you had completed today. Due to him not being able to see you for even a few weeks without you heading off somewhere, Fushiguro wanted to check up on you to make sure that you were okay and had the idea you had probably fallen asleep. Yet your figure was not on your bed, it was still neatly made from this morning and there was no sign that you had even sat on it.
Shutting his mouth, Fushiguro began to carefully listen to his surroundings trying to see if he could hear you or anything out of the ordinary in his search for you, only for him to suddenly detect the sound of water being poured or spilt causing him to turn towards the bathroom, only to discover the door opened with the faucet tap running rapidly as water began to overflow onto the ground, leading him to rush into the bathroom to turn it off.
Letting out a sigh of relief once the water stopped, he immediately turned around to find you on the ground, hands in your hair as tears flowed down your face. You looked terrible to put it into lighter terms. You looked like you’ve been through the worst wreckage. You looked like you had lost the will to even move.
Quickly crouching down to your level - ignoring the water on the ground, Fushiguro managed to carefully lift your body up before placing you on his lap trying to comfort you in any way possible, as he then took a hold of your hands - causing you to relax your grip - to gently remove them from your hair making you weren’t in any pain from the tight grasp you had. Pulling you closer into his embrace, Fushiguro began to slowly run his hand up and down your arm to try to calm you down from your tearful fit before using his other to push away any straying strands of hair that were in your face, so he would wipe away any of the tears that were still present on your eyes or cheeks.
“Shhh, I got you, You’re okay, I’m right here with you,” Fushiguro tenderly muttered to you before placing your head on the crook of his neck as he then began to run his fingers through the strands of your messy hair, carefully brushing out any knots that were created. Fushiguro didn’t even have to ask what was wrong. He already had a slight idea of what was going for the past few weeks.
Due to the lack of sorcerers being available within the school and the stack of higher class missions being piled up, you were the only sorcerer qualified to even go on these missions leaving you to undertake these task alone - much to his dismay, but he had no obligation to go due to his grade as a sorcerer himself. He knew you were strong based on being a sorcerer as well as your emotional and mental state, but everyone has their limits, no matter how long or short one person can hold on to their sanity. Everyone has their limits - he was surprised that you were able to hold on for this long, to be honest, he didn’t think he himself could have lasted as long as you did.
Every day when he had a minimal chance of seeing you, Fushiguro slowly began to notice that you were gradually breaking down, you were becoming more worn out, you were becoming less motivation, you lacked in performance when you were able to train with everyone, and you were slowly detaching yourself from everyone - you were somewhat becoming like him in some way. Fushiguro tired to lighten up your mood by inviting you over to his dorm to watch a movie or to simply cuddle with him, and he knew that you were exceptionally grateful for everything that he was doing, you showed it with the most beautiful smiles and light laughs that you could give him. He just felt so useless.
Snapping out of his thoughts, he suddenly felt a pair of arms being wrapped around his neck, causing him to realise that you seemed to snap out of your own daze. “Thank you so much, Megumi….I’m so happy that I’m with you,” you whispered to him before you tightened your hold on his neck - but not to the point where it was suffocating - before you continued with the three words that always made his heart stop before it would go into a rage as if he had just ran a marathon, “I love you,”.
Even in your current state, you still managed to somehow make Fushiguro feel like he was helping you - to which he completely was, he just didn’t know - leading him to engulf you in his arms before placing a light kiss on your temple to help you relax your body and calm you down even more.
“I got you, I’m right here with you Y/N,” Fushiguro replied back to you before tightening his hold on you as if he was the one that needed comforting, “I love you too,”.
Being with Fushiguro was something you knew to never take from granted, he was like the moonlight that comforted you when you felt so alone in the night. Fushiguro wasn’t someone to express his affection so openly, but for him to try to help you in every way possible - even if he was somewhat out of his character - was something you could never take for granted from the little kisses to the little dorm invites - yeah you really were lucky. Fushiguro Megumi was really the perfect boyfriend
“With you, I know I’m going to be okay Megumi”

❀ Summary: Megumi was hurt on his last mission so you took it in your own hands to take care of him!

❀ Pairings: Megumi x Reader
❀ Warnings: Grammar Error / Fluff / Blood / Bad Language

You couldn't believe it.
Megumi just came back from a mission that Gojo gave him a few days ago but he won’t let you allow see him. He came back a few hours ago and went straight to his room, not even looking you in the eyes. You just wanted to know if he was fine but he kept blocking every social interaction.
All you knew was that the mission included a grade 1 curse while Megumi was a grade 2 sorcerer so this shit didn’t even make sense. You were really worried, not knowing what happened.
“Megumi? Can I please come in?” it’s the fifth time now that you are were standing in front of his closed door. Shifting on your feet you waited quietly until you heard his stern voice replying. “No you can’t. Now please leave me alone.” Wow that hurt. A frustrated sigh leaving your mouth. Your best friend could be so stubborn its incredible.
Deciding if you should go to your room or just try again you saw Yuuji approaching you. “Yo!” he waved at you “He won’t let you in either?”
“No, I don’t know whats going on with him. So you also tried to talk too him?” you sigh, putting a strand of hair behind your ear. Looking at Yuuji you noticed that he also seemed kind of worried. You remember how happy he was when you first met him, this boy has definitely changed a lot.
“Well he told me to fuck off.” he said laughing. “HE SAID WHAT?”
Yuuji let out a loud laugh. “I guess he’s just really exhausted, we should give him a break and try again later” Thinking about what he just said you bit your lip. Maybe he was right and Megumi was just really tired. We’re probably just annoying him right now.
“You’re probably right. If he was really hurt he would have went to Shoko. I’ll look after him again in the evening.” you said in a monotone voice.
After the sun began to set you found yourself in the kitchen, brewing some soup. “If he won’t let me in this time I’ll pour this shit over his head!” you mumbled while stirring the soup. Grabbing a bowl of the freshly made soup you made your way to Megumis room again. Hesitantly you knocked on the door again. “Megumi? I made you some food. I haven’t seen you the whole day, you must be hungry…” You waited nervously, biting your lip.
What if I just woke him up? Oh shit this punk will kill me.
“Leave the food in front of the door, I’ll get it later.”
Wait? Is this idiot serious right now?
You couldn't remember the last time you were this angry at your best friend because this shit just reached a whole different level. “You know what? I give a shit if you don’t want anyone to see you. Get the fuck ready because I’m coming in now”
“Y/N I dare y-” You stepped into his room, making his words die on his lips. He was laying in his bed while holding an ice pack to his lips.
Walking over to his bed and putting the soup on his nightstand you could make out some bloody tissue papers in his trash bin.
Now inspectating his face more closely you were able to see a big cut over his eyebrow and a dark purple eye. Now grabbing his wrist and pulling his hand with the ice pack away from his face, revealing a bruised lips.
“You could have just told me you were hurt.” you pressed out quietly. “You should go to Shoko”
“It’s really not that bad” he mumbled, pressing the ice against his lip again.
“That bloody shit in your trash says otherwise.” you pointed at his trash bin. “I’ll be right back, just don’t run away.”
“Where do you think I would be going looking like th-” again he was cut off by you leaving his room.
A few seconds later you came back bursting into his room again, in your hand a little package.
“Okay I guess I’ve got everything I need. Can you sit up? And put that damn ice to the side.”
Megumi put the ice on his nightstand and sat himself on the edge of his bed looking around his room. He looked everywhere but definitely not at you. After you positioned yourself in front of him you grabbed his chin softly, not wanting to hurt him any further.
“You look like shit” you said while getting out the bandages and the alcohol.
“Yeah Sherlock you don’t say” you chuckled at his stupid remark.
Putting some alcohol on a cotton wrap you padded it on the cut over his eyebrow. This angle gave you a chance to have a better look at his eyes. They were so dark, almost like obsidian. They were so deep, you almost got lost into them but Megumis hissing made you snap back. Ah right, the alcohol.
“I’m sorry, does it hurt that bad?”
“No, its fine. Just hurry please” You nodded, putting the cotton wrap away and grabbing a big band aid to put it over the cut. “This should stop the blending for now.”
“Turn your head a little bit, I need to see how badly your lips look.”
He turned his head to the side. His lips where mostly bruised but you could make out a little cut.
I can’t really patch that up but I can at least disinfect it.
Grabbing your alcohol and cotton again, you began to press it on his lips.
“Sorry this must hurt a lot”
Megumi kept quiet and just looked at you. His stare made you nervous.
Damn this boy and his beautiful eyes.
“I guess that’s all I can do for now. Do you have any more cuts or bruises I should take a look at?”
you immediately regretted your question.
“I actually got some more wounds, but I guess I can take care of them myself, it’s fine.” Oh no. If I do my job I do it correctly.
“Can you at least show them to me so I can see how bad they are. They should not get infected, you know right?”
Megumi let out a loud sight. He grabbed his shirt and pulled it over his head. Damn it, I wasn’t expecting it to be on his rips. I thought they were on his arms or some shit like that. So this was the reason why he had troubles getting up. Makes sense now.
You immediately became flustered by the pure sight of his upper body. Luckily Megumi was busy trying to not look you in the eyes.
I have to touch him. Oh please no.
You quietly did your job of disinfecting and cleaning up his wounds. His skin was pale and cold to your touch. Your eyes staring right at his upper body, not daring to look him in the eyes for just one second. Megumi was just as nervous as you were but after some minutes of acting like all of this didn’t happen, he was able to look at you cleaning his wounds. How careful you were to not hurt him.
“Y/N?” he spoke softly. You instinctively looked up, becoming even more red.
“Thank you for doing this.” he said, still staring into your eyes.
You hectically looked away, fixing your eyes on his almost patched up wounds again.
“You don’t have to thank me for that. I’ll always take care of you. No matter what.”
After you finished patching Megumi up, you packed your things together, strands of hair falling in your face. Megumi pulled his shirt over his head, being fully clothed again. The situation was awkward and even tho you really like Megumi, you wanted to get out of it.
“Guess my job is done here. Text me if you need something and I’ll come over. And eat your soup!” you said smiling at him, pointing at the soup that was still on his nightstand.
You were about to turn around, when Megumi spoke up.
“You know you could just stay here, then I don’t have to text you if I need something” he mumbled while scratching the back of his neck, not even looking you in the eyes.
You heart hammered so loud, you were scarred he would be able to hear it.
Was he serious? He wants me to stay with him over the night. This boy is joking right?
“Are your sure? Like… you want me here to stay?” you mumbled. Not really knowing what to say. You’ve gotten so nervous it’s getting ridiculous.
“Only if you want to, I thought that would be the better option” he shifted around, not knowing if what he said was wrong.
“Yeah, yeah. I guess that would be better.” you agreed by rapidly nodding, almost stumbling over your own words.
This was everything Megumi needed to hear. He lifted his blanked up to signalize you to get your ass into his bed.
Hesitantly you crawled into the bed, now laying next to him.
Megumi was laying on his back. You turned around to face him. “Can I….. you know. Can I maybe lay my hand there?” pointing at his stomach. You felt ashamed for asking to literally cuddle him, but you just couldn't help it.
Everyone can sleep better when they cuddle something, right?
Megumi looked at you, surprised that you even asked him that. “If it helps you sleep, sure.”
You slowly slit your hands up his stomach and rested it right under the wound you just patched up before. Curling into his side you breathed his scent in. He smelled so incredibly good, it gave you butterfly's in your belly.
“Am I not hurting you?” you asked, referring to the position you hand was in.
“You could never. Now go to sleep, you had a troublesome day with me acting like a completely asshole.” he chuckled, patting your head once, letting his hand rest on your back.
“I guess your right.” was all you where able to say, before slowly drifting off into a deep sleep.
Megumi watched you a bit longer, questioning how you both ended up like this. He always had liked you since he first laid his eyes on you. Seeing your sleeping form curled into him, made him realize how much he cared for you.
A/N
I hope you liked this imagine. If you know things I could do better, feel free to DM me. I always want to improve myself and my writing.
Have a nice day! ♡

cat's problems
toge vs a furball: the fic. read on ao3
When the tunes of a particularly sappy love song rang loudly in the middle of their school's field, everyone participating in today's afternoon practice turned their heads in eerie synchronization to where Toge lay boneless on the grassy ground. It was a popular girlband song no one admitted out loud to have listened on repeat (fearing Todo's predatory fanboying coming for their neck more than anything else, probably). Toge tried to ignore the stares to no avail.
There was also the tidbit about there being only one person Toge gave a customized ringtone in his contact list with ever-changing cheesy romantic songs. All of them seemed to be aware of that. (He wanted to bet on the biggest gossip spreading that fact before he realized he was the biggest gossip, so maybe he was just that predictable and entirely too besotted.)
His left pocket continued buzzing even under the harsh judgemental stare Maki gave it. Moving fast from the regret of not silencing the thing in the first place, Toge took his phone out as slowly as he could just to watch Maki's forehead twitch, but still in time to answer the call.
The video call, apparently, to be precise.
Ignoring Yuji's befuddled: "Why is he bringing his phone to practice and how did that thing not in pieces yet?" (Panda replied with something suspiciously sounding like "Dark magic"), Toge swiped the answer option. Immediately, his screen was filled with the handsome face of his boyfriend. He was framed by dark shadows, probably because of the nighttime, but Toge had no problem seeing the sheepish smile that he had always loved a lot.
"Konbu," Toge beamed in greeting, life seeping back into his body just from the 3 seconds of exposure to Yuta's presence. (Beside him, Megumi also tried to give his greeting before giving up halfway and going back to his best imitation of a dead log.)
Yuta's smile turned more blinding, lighting up the whole scene like a miniature sun (Toge almost wanted to check if his screen's brightness got turned up on its own). Although, when he started speaking, his voice had a nervous edge to it. " Am I interrupting your practice ?"
Just this morning, Satoru had immediately warped out of existence as soon as he had finished relaying to them about today's plan (which was tantamount to nothing, so Maki roped them all to individual practice) and not without kidnapping Nobara for a solo mission also. Megumi and Toge had both been trying to merge into one with the unforgiving ground sometime before Yuta's call (Panda was tempted to water them like plants). Maki and Yuji could keep going until next week, freaks of nature that they were, so they didn't count.
"Okaka," Toge replied solemnly after the slightest contemplation and deciding he wasn't wrong.
Yuta's eyebrow rose in doubt. Toge gave him a wink alongside his best guiltless grin.
Not even a second later, his boyfriend huffed, a clear admission of defeat. The special grade sorcerer who was always so weak to Toge, it endeared him to no end. (The echoes of several people saying, "Whipped" could be heard.)
"Alright, if you say so." Yuta chuckled. "I'm sorry for calling you at this hour."
Toge shook his head once more.
Ever since oceans separate them apart, managing time zones was one of the most important things to do so they wouldn't get swallowed down by the intense yearning for each other. Nearly one year now, they had established a routine where Yuta usually called him early in the morning or before bed.
But, still . Toge would never not be happy to receive any contact from Yuta. If anything, it had always been the highlights of his days. (He even answered a call in the middle of a mission once until Yuta worried so hard that Toge promised he wouldn't do it again.) (He did it once again after, part being a gremlin that he was and part trying to send a point across. When Yuta gave him the puppiest eyes he could muster, Toge just harrumphed and told him to get back soon so he wouldn't miss him so badly.)
(Yuta spent the rest of that call sweet-talking Toge with his bigger-than-life words about how much he loved him. Toge made Satoru, who supervised that mission, swore under the threat of his shampoo being swapped to neon green hair dye to never tell anyone how he got teary-eyed at Yuta's words that could pass as wedding vows.)
After another shake of his head to dispel his straying thoughts, Toge then tilted his head to the side. "Takana?" I don't mind, but why so sudden?
Yuta perked up. "I wanted to show you something!"
Then there was a blur of movements from the other side of the call. Toge could see the high ceilings of whatever building Yuta was in before the camera switched to the back. A clutter of boxes filled the screen, hinting to Toge that Yuta could be in some kind of storage site or an abandoned factory.
"We were exorcising a grade 2 curse nearby. I'll tell you more about it later ," Yuta's voice could be heard saying. " And then, look ."
There was a sound of crouching before the camera focused on a shadowy object which upon closer look revealed to be… a cat. A strangely familiar-looking cat.
"Doesn't it look like you ?" Yuta asked excitedly. " I gave it food once when I was surveying the area. It keeps following me after that."
Despite the mostly dark background, the cat's fur shone blonde like Toge's own mop of hair. And, blaming his sight on the dim lighting of the place, Toge stared in wonder when its eyes seemed to be tinted purple-ish and green-ish depending on the movements of its head.
"It's so friendly too ," he added as the cat moved closer to him and then rubbed its head lovingly on Yuta's legs. " Reminds me of someone ."
(Yuta had always found it wonderful how Toge's name was ' Inu ' and yet he was such a cat person.)
Propping his phone by Megumi's prone head, Toge started to sign, amazed despite himself because yes, that cat resembled him to an amazing degree. "Are you replacing me with a cat?"
Yuta's laugh escaped him in a snort that made Toge grin impishly. "Why? Are you jealous?"
Toge was about to sign back something equally teasing when there was a flurry of movements. The cat jumped into Yuta's lap, almost knocking the phone out of his hand in the process, then began to nuzzle his neck too while meowing loudly. (It was even loud enough to raise Megumi from his coma.)
Toge froze, fingers twitching, as Yuta moved to sit on the ground and began baby-talking to the cat (something about giving it more food later despite the cat already looking like a four-legged mochi).
Comfortable in its place on Yuta's warm lap (Toge would know), the cat looked directly into the camera. Its feline eyes glinting with way too much intelligence for Toge's liking. If it could form words, Toge imagined the things that it would meow smugly at him.
'This lap is mine now, sucks to be you.'
Toge had never been more jealous of anything all his life.
(That was a lie. Just last week, Toge was totally not sulking when Satoru got back from his trip overseas and kept regaling stories about how Yuta was apparently offered dinner left and right. He was not jealous that his sweet, wonderful boyfriend got that kind of attention. He believed in Yuta, after all. He was 'jealous' because it wasn't him beside Yuta, teasing him mercilessly about being a hotshot now while he turned down those offers.)
(He missed teasing Yuta directly. He missed being near Yuta.)
(He missed Yuta a lot.)
(He missed his lap, too.)
The cat maintained eye contact, daring him to look away, as it nuzzled back against Yuta's hand scratching behind its ears. The sound of its purring was loud and clear through the loudspeaker. It looked like it was living the best life at that moment.
Behind him, Yuji didn't even bother lowering his voice to a whisper. "Why is Inumaki-senpai hissing like a cat at his phone screen?"
The camera switched back to the front. Yuta's amused face greeted him in exchange, his eyebrow raised and mouth twitching at the corner. It was a vastly preferable change to keeping up a glaring contest with that cursed feline, even though the sight of Yuta's barely held laughter was less welcomed when directed at his misery.
"Are you hissing at your phone screen, Toge?" his boyfriend asked.
"Okaka!" Toge huffed in response and at the same time, Maki shouted, "Yes, he is!"
Toge flipped her off before turning back to Yuta, totally not hissing.
"I was actually about to name it 'Toge the Sequel'," Yuta said, mirth coloring his voice, "but don't worry, it already has an owner."
Yuta tilted the cat's chin up, revealing a thin line circling the cat's neck. Its long fur was doing a too well job at hiding the collar. It even had a small pendant with the word 'Kumo' carved on it.
"I didn't notice the collar sooner. Now that I'm done with this curse though, I'll try to look for its owner," Yuta said, then added cheekily, "Maybe tomorrow since it's already late here. Until then, I'm afraid you will have to share me with it, Toge."
Toge pretended to sulk at that, but the sight of Yuta giving the cat small kisses melted his heart to his stomach where it fed the butterflies that live there ever since he fell in love with this amazing boy.
(In front of him, still acting as his phone's stand holder, Megumi made a pained sound. "He's making lovesick eyes again, help me.")
(Toge flicked his ear.)
Yuta laughed merrily at him again and was about to say something when the echo of another person calling his name could be heard. He turned his head to look behind him, presumably to see Miguel coming to get him before he looked back down at his phone. He smiled.
"I have to go now. I just wanted to introduce you to the little guy," Yuta said with too much cheer, "I'll call you again in the morning, hopefully at a better time, alright?" Then, using one of the cat's paws, he waved at the camera. "Say 'bye-bye, Toge'. Love you!"
The call ended, but not before Toge successfully screenshotted Yuta's large smile and the cat glaring at the camera.
Yuta actually sent him several pics of the cat later. Toge saved all the ones with Yuta also in it. And much, much later, Yuta told him the story of how he found the owner, an old lady who offered Yuta a lavish dinner in return for his heroic deed. Which was very kind of her.
(Then, of course, the lady also offered to introduce him to his granddaughter. Which was hilarious to Toge, as usual.)
The next time Satoru announced he wanted to check in on his favorite overseas student, Toge shoved a scarf with instructions to make sure Yuta wore it. If cat paw prints were decorating the scarf, then maybe Toge just wanted revenge.

JUJUTSU KAISEN Y/N CHARACTER IDEAS FOR THE FANFIC WRITERS OUT THERE!!!
1. Y/N is the eldest child of the head of one of the most powerful families of jujutsu sorcerers making her next in line for the seat. But she cannot control her curse energy and technique. Given this situations she was constantly discriminated in the household. Even if things were like this, her father loved her and did not take the position from her.
To remove her from the lineage, the elders conspired against her giving her a special grade rank. With the fact that she has no control over her powers they thought she'll eventually die from taking on special grade missions and her father cannot do anything about this.
Little did they know, because she was on death's door they made a monster that will wreak havoc and will destroy everything on its path.
2. Y/N is a curse spirit/cursed doll who—at first—had no free will. She acted only what her creator wishes.
3. Y/N can see curses.
When she was younger she lived in the country side with her grandparents. But she started seeing curses specially in school and it affected her so much that she doesn't leave her grandmother's side. Her parents were working in Tokyo and decided to bring her there too, thinking that she won't be scared anymore because the city is always busy. But little do they know that there are more hideous and frightening curses out there.
She doesn't want to burden her family anymore so she stayed quiet while shaking in fear everytime she encounters one.
4. MC is one of Choso's younger siblings (Preferably female)
Same parents with Yuji. Her mother (when inhibited by Kenjaku [the ancient sorcerer {mentioned in chapter 145}]) had kept her a secret. The body was alive but it has no soul making her just bedridden for her whole life. Her cursed technique is that whoever and whatever touches her with cursed energy, she instantly nullifies it. Kenjaku had been experimenting on the body for years taking her on the verge of death everytime. That's where Choso see's visions of an unfamiliar girl(MC) just like when his other sibling are on death's door. Kenjaku planned to take the body as his after possessing Suguru Geto's.
Soul inhibitants options:
• MC is Isekai-ed and transported to jjk world. (I've been reading way too much historical reincarnation manhwa for this on lmao)
• Heaven blessed the body with the soul probably by the time kf Shibuya arc. Personality is like a child because it's the first time waking up to the world and she is just learning. Relationships: has a strong connection to Choso and Yuji because they're siblings. (Getting a overprotective older brother Choso yeyy!!!)
5. MC is part of the Gojo Clan
She was strong as a jujutsu sorcerer but she does not exceed their family's standards, specially being one of the strongest clan. Y/N admired Satoru so much as a kid. He was her idol and the only one who cared for her in the suffocating household. But when he started to go to Jujutsu Technical College he had made friends the same age as him and gave his all to them. Y/N had felt left out but deep inside she knew he'll have to live a life that didn't circulate on just protecting her.
The little attention she gets whenever he returned to the household during his school breaks was okay. But then some time after when she heard he had killed one member of the Zenin clan he had became cold and distant. Not long, he had permanently left the household and never visited, he had left her all alone.
In rare times when they talked he was cheerful, yes, but Y/N had became more sensitive to so many things because of the pressure of their family and Satoru didn't know her anymore.
She no longer enjoyed the time she had with him. All he does was lecture her or only talk about his students and her jealousy eats her up whenever he mentions and boast about the black-haired kid who had the shadow technique that he practically raises.
When she entered high school she had pleaded to Kyoto Jujutsu Technical College just because he hated that white-haired jerk so much. But Satoru always gets what he wants. Now she lives in constant anxiety that she thought she would've scaped from her household but now she's getting the treatment from the person who had saved from from at first.
I don't know what's the ship here lmao. But for me it's no Y/NxGojo Satoru. They're cousins here(emphasis on that).
You can use her hatred to Megumi though. Make an angsty Megumi x Y/N where they're rivals.
6. Y/N is one of Tokyo Jujutsu Technical College third year student(s).
(We got some info on one of the third years in the lastest chap so MANGA SPOILER) (Noritoshi Kamo x Y/N rivalry & secret feelings)
She's a first grade sorcerer that was suspended with her other classmate(s) and she actually liked being suspended. She hated being a sorcerer. Coming from a powerful jujustu clan she was forced to be one. She has been making all sorts of delinquent acts but her family won't let her go because she was wielding the family's powerful curse technique. But as a woman, her clan fully denies of her being the head of the family. So they are tying her down to the heir of the Kamo Clan.
She hated the boy, how he was prim and proper while she dyed her hair for several times this year. She hated him because of how he was dumb for letting his family control him. But the truth is she hated his clan for changing him to a person that has no freedom. He broke the promise that they made when they were children. That they will only marry the person they loved because their parents never did that's why they didn't loved their children(them) too.
In her eyes, she knew he didn't love her but she did. She will never admit to that fact because she knows he will just be suffocate by it. But little did she know that they have the same thoughts—and probably feelings—of each other.
(Lmao I'm going to separate this cause y'all gonna know when you read)
As a past time for being suspended she goes to best friend Takada-chan's concerts and sometime she gets invited to go to stage to perform. (Forgive me. I've been watching way too much kpop performances lately)
will add more ideas when I get more. So make sure to come back! and if you guys have some don't be afraid to comment!

If Megumi is reader child, then I’m going to assume the incest relationship will be kept a secret. What do you think Megumi reaction will be when Naoya reveal the secret out of bitterness and to shame him? Especially since he was recommended to take over the Zen’in.
+ In your universe, is Toji going to leave/die?
tw incest, mention of death a part of nii-chan series & toji-nii
nrrbkjbrg in my universe as much as i looooooove angst, i would like to keep toji alive. @ninefuckingoneone is gonna be happy to listen to this i cant believe i had to put read more tag bcs i didnt expect to go on and on lmao
ik ik i did wrote that 3-piece thirsts where toji died but i did keep the ending ambiguous bcs 3 possible outcomes that i couldnt choose:
1. i like to think that toji faked his death just so reader could find peace with someone other than him, maybe the guilt of being a sorcerer killer and forcing reader down this path, the amount of stress his works put on her made him think she's better off away and that he was the one who tipped the heis
2. toji really is dead and due to grief, reader had an hallucination where 'he' persuaded reader to join 'him' and it worked bcs reader is deeply in love with toji-nii, the bond is different hence the railing creaked and she fell to her death
3. naoya orchestrated all this; kidnapped reader away, reader went through 5 stage of grief and toji is just waiting for perfect time to steal her away again from naoya and he wants to make it painful to his cousin, spitting on all his efforts
which one do i feel with the most? probably option number 2, i feel like them being together in afterlife is just perfect bittersweet ending. but i like to think that option 3 would be the best bcs trust me toji-nii isn't just going to let reader go as easy as that, especially to naoya
so yeah, toji survives in my mind.
phew thats one part down, onto the next ques
i think at some point some of the clan members would start speculating but i feel like the higher ups would like to keep it hidden and it would be easy to control the clan members now that toji and reader left the estate. the clan thrives in perfection and power. told them that toji married some nobody and about to have a baby. but naoya would know, he knew the higher up is lying bcs he literally saw everything. the clan would try their best to keep track with toji and readers movement but toji's smart. he only let them know if he wants too. how?
he uses naoya.
naoya would not be kept out of the dark, i feel like his obsession with wanting the reader to himself would keep him in constant loop of self hatred. he knows that he's better than toji, but he would not stop hating himself for not being able to be with reader. and the letters with no return address from them is just salt in the wound he would not stop pouring.
when reader got pregnant, best believe toji would mail him an ultrasound picture just to piss him off. when megumi is born, oh they'll get a picture and like i feel that the clan would sense it that the holder of ten shadow technique was born. do i think that reader and toji would clash on how megumi would be raised? yes.
two of them barely have any cursed energy but able to birth a strong child who inherited the clan's technique. reader would want nothing to do with clan but toji would want to use it against them.
"it's for revenge. they need to pay for making us suffer, megumi would destroy the clan for us don't he?" would be a common thing reader would hear him reassure as he holds the baby close to his chest. toji is strong and he's stronger with megumi around but he knew that megumi's stronger without him.
if we are staying to the timeline, i would think that toji would still agree to let naobito take megumi in to be reintroduced to the clan. would it be devastating to give megumi away to the clan? it would especially to reader but toji knows the best. someone as talented as him would never be treated as bad as him and reader. but i feel like he would have second thoughts when confronting gojo during the fight and being so close to death, he was willing to strike a deal with gojo to fix the agreement, making him as megumi's 'legal' guardian since toji and reader has no control of him once he's in the clan. just as safety net.
would gojo knows that megumi is born from reader and toji's unnatural relationship? irrelevant, i think teen gojo would not give a shit. would megumi knows the true nature of his parents? i feel like he wouldn't know but he is always reminded that they love him dearly no matter what.
would megumi reacted if naoya revealed the secret out of spite?megumi would definitely had mixed emotion. i feel like he would be disgusted and angry that this secret has been kept from him and the true nature of his existence. would he confront his parents? yes but would he be mad at them for keeping it away? no, not when he knew what happen to them. he would be angry that they send him away to the same clan that hurt them but i also feel like in the littlest time where he's raised by reader and toji would make him understand how much his parents love him so much and why they chose to sent him away.
would he still want to take the place if it's given to him? yes, so he could cleanse the clan from all the pain they had caused to him and his parents. even if naoya told him that toji using him out of revenge i feel like he would throw it back to naoyas face how he's doing this too out of spite bcs he couldn't have reader. nothing is more powerful that being the black sheep of the clan with the inherited technique in his blood sitting on the throne.
and even if naoya managed to sway the clan's view on megumi, reminding them that megumi is a product of toji and reader's forbidden relationship and ostracized him, i feel like at that point megumi had made his peace and happy to return back home to his true family.
either way, naoya would never win.

JJK Chapter 137
This is going up a bit late, but I wanted to post my thoughts on Chapter 137 before I get around to reading Chapter 138.
This chapter, which reads as Part 1 of the Shibuya Incident Aftermath, is really interesting because it shows what the state of the jujutsu world – and the non-jujutsu world of Japan – is outside of Shibuya. When there’s a lot of action going on, like the kind that’s been happening for the past year or so worth of chapters, it’s easy to get tunnel vision and focus only on the main cast. So it’s nice that we get some context as to what’s happening outside of Shibuya.
1) Dystopia abound.
We already got a hint of how the non-jujutsu world is affected by an influx of cursed spirits during the action part of the Shibuya Incident, within the contained space of the curtain surrounding Shibuya. Now we learn that other locations in Japan are being affected as well: the state of the government is unknown, there are concerns of how Japan’s political and commercial infrastructure will hold up to this massive shift in reality (and how other countries will view and react to these changes), people are evacuating affected cities, and an important question has arisen as a result of the Shibuya Incident – should the non-jujutsu world, the normal world, become aware of the existence of curses?
This question is important, because it seems Fake-Geto (I know the curse user possessing Geto’s body is Kamo Noritoshi the ancestor, but Fake-Geto is easier to use) is dead set on bringing back a world where powerful cursed spirits held the most influence in the world. It’ll be interesting to see whether or not cursed spirits and the jujutsu world at large become common knowledge to non-jujutsu sorcerers, and how the world will change as a result of either one of these decisions.
2) Yuta appears!
This is his first appearance since Volume 0 (the prequel volume). He pretty much looks the same to me, though his face looks a bit more mature and his hair is longer. He’s still awkward around others – even children – though he looks pretty confident when dealing with the elders at Jujutsu Headquarters.
Here, Yuta seems to be gearing up for a rampage/epic beatdown similar to the one in Volume 0, after Geto took down his friends. Yuta’s pretty similar to Gojo in that he has the capability to pull of a deus ex machina during a time of crisis; he can evolve at an extraordinary rate and pull off impossible feats. (Gojo himself has mentioned that Yuta has the potential to become just as strong as him.)
So in JJK there are two god-like characters: Gojo Satoru, the self-proclaimed but probably-really-is the strongest sorcerer in the world, and Okkotsu Yuta, who’s on his way to being as strong as Gojo. The reason the Shibuya Incident had such devastating consequences is because Gojo was sealed away early on, and Yuta was supposedly still out of the country. Making these two god-like characters unavailable allowed for the struggles and losses in this arc to happen, and gave characters like our main trio the opportunity to grow.
What’s interesting in the aftermath of the Shibuya Incident is that we’re still down Gojo, but we’ve gained Yuta. And Yuta seems to be currently under the influence of the elders at Jujutsu Headquarters – or rather, they’re taking advantage of his need for vengeance and Yuta’s letting them manipulate him – whereas Gojo has always opposed their authority. (When Gojo killed Geto, I doubt he did it because the elders issued a kill-order on Geto. He most likely did it because Geto was dangerous, and Gojo knew the only way to stop him was to kill him.)
As of this chapter, the elders seem reluctant to trust Yuta. But for now, they have a Special Grade Sorcerer to do their bidding.
3) The elders at Jujutsu Headquarters and their plan of action.
This chapter again shows how black and white the current authority of the jujutsu world – the elders at Jujutsu Headquarters (I believe they’re all unidentified except for Gakuganji Yoshinobu) – are, and how desperate they are to maintain their conservative, straightforward vision of how the jujutsu world and the non-jujutsu worlds should be.
It’s hard to tell how much information Jujutsu Headquarters is operating on, based on the orders they’ve issues.
Order 1: We know the elders know that Geto is “alive.” However, it’s unclear whether or not they know that Geto isn’t the real Geto, but a curse user possessing his body. In any case, they want him killed again.
Order 2: We know the elders know Gojo is sealed, since originally, during the Shibuya Incident, the order was to free Gojo Satoru. (This may not have been an official Headquarters order; both the College and Kyoto group may’ve only been acting on Mechamaru’s info.)
This new order calls for Gojo’s continued imprisonment. It’s reasonable for the elders to be suspicious of Gojo (someone who’s always opposing their authority) to be Geto’s accomplice – especially since they were best friends – so this order is understandable.
But there’s a fine line between the elders wanting to keep Gojo sealed because they believe he’s a traitor, and wanting to keep him sealed away because it keeps him from interfering with their agenda.
Order 3: This order is absolutely ridiculous, on par with the idea of Absolute Justice in One Piece – the idea or reasoning that, because Geto and Gojo were his students, Yaga is responsible for the decisions they made and continue to make as adults.
The elders didn’t hold this against Yaga when Geto (real Geto) defected and became a curse user. The difference between then and now is that Gojo is being treated as an accomplice to a curse user. So the goal of this order might be to punish Yaga for producing two traitorous students, or his execution is a way to justify Gojo’s continued imprisonment. The reasoning for the latter option, if we consider the dark, manipulative elders route instead of the ignorant, misinformed one, could be that, to justify that Gojo’s crime is bad enough to warrant being sealed for eternity, his former teacher is also culpable, and the only punishment worthy of his crime is death.
Order 4: Reinstating Yuji’s execution order is expected, given Gakuganji’s previous manipulations during the Kyoto Exchange Arc.
Order 5: This order, for Yuta to be Yuji’s executioner, is also expected. Yuta is currently the only Special Grade (who hasn’t gone rogue) to not have a relationship or any interaction with Yuji; and, given Yuta’s desire to keep his friends safe, Yuji already has a point against him for what he did to Inumaki – even if it was technically Sukuna’s fault.
What might happen next?
There are two ways of thinking the elders could be operating under. One, they’re operating on incomplete information (mainly, not knowing Kamo Noritoshi the ancestor is possessing Geto’s body, which could potentially make Orders 2 and 3 void); or two, the elders do have all the information, and they’re trying to keep Gojo sealed away for their own benefit. With Gojo out of the way, the elders have no one (powerful enough, anyways) to oppose their authority, and they can shape both the jujutsu world and the non-jujutsu world as they please.
[Their order of keeping Gojo sealed is probably the one they’ll regret the earliest. It’s stated in one of the earlier chapters that curses grew in strength because a being of Gojo Satoru’s strength was born into the world. Cursed spirits grew stronger simply as a matter of evolution, the prey evolving to better counter the predator that would hunt them down.
And while there are several talented sorcerers still active to fight the sudden influx of powerful cursed spirits, and several sorcerers-in-training who can step up to joint the fight, the Shibuya Incident also took talented sorcerers like Nanami. Gojo was very much a large-scale, heavy-hitter fighter, capable of taking down several curses at once with little effort. Without him around, it’ll be harder for sorcerers to operate. It’ll definitely give Fake-Geto all the time he needs to enact his plans, since the sorcerers will be too busy fighting curses to figure out his endgame.]
Then there’s the question of how much Yuta knows about each order. Like the elders, Yuta is either ignorant of one or more of the orders (as in, he doesn’t know that Gojo is supposed to stay sealed, or that unsealing him is a criminal act; or that Yaga, Panda’s creator/guardian, is slated for execution), or he knows all of the orders and is choosing to ignore the ones that don’t give him permission to take out Yuji. Either mindset could lead to interesting future conflicts, but I think it’s more likely that Yuta doesn’t know all of the orders. Based on my read of him from Volume 0, he isn’t the type to go for extreme measures unless his friends are hurt.
It also looks like Yuta’s goal of executing Yuji can go two ways. Either he tries killing Yuji and ends up fighting Sukuna, or he tries killing Yuji and his friends (mainly Maki and Panda, if Inumaki’s still out of commission) stop him and beat some sense into him. It’s possible, of course, that the feelings of Yuji’s previous allies/friends may have changed over the course of the Shibuya Incident, because of the damage Sukuna caused while fighting Jogo (e.g. Kusakabe. The difference with Kusakabe, though, is that he was indifferent to Yuji’s existence as Sukuna’s host until the mass destruction in Shibuya. He also, to my knowledge, has never met Yuji.)
But that seems doubtful for the second years, since Panda still seems fine with Yuji, and I can’t see Inumaki and Maki disagreeing with him. And even if they aren’t, Yaga’s technically in the same boat as Yuji, and it’s unlikely Panda, Inumaki, and Maki would act against him. If Yaga continues to stick up for Yuji, they would most likely follow his lead. Megumi I’m sure will still be on Yuji’s side, as will Nobara (please, please let her be okay.).
As for Yuji and Yaga... I can’t imagine Yaga trying to run off to avoid execution. He’s more of the type to make a stand. I could see him encouraging Yuji to escape though, and serving as a distraction until Yuji’s escaped far enough.
I’m really excited to see where Chapter 138 will take us!
