A swirling column of fire announced Gildenhos' arrival in the hallway. Jeff was shielding his face from the wind as his patron joined him, squinting into the room. The sphere was like a tornado now, beginning to shift desks and topple filing cabinets. The minors had retreated, scrambling to find any higher-ups that would know what to do. "What is this? What's happening?" Gildenhos shouted over the roar of the wind.

"Selena's in there!" Jeff shouted back, glaring at the purple smoke. "She had a knife sticking out of her - it's something ceremonial."

Gildenhos swore under his breath, putting an arm in front of Jeff and stepping them both backwards as a desk flipped in front of them. “Who’s doing it? Do you know?”

“Aidel,” Jeff hissed through his teeth, his fists clenched. “I knew we shouldn't have-”

“Not the time!” His patron snapped, and Jeff couldn't help but flinch. “We need to get her out of there. That glow- there's a seal. She won't be able to use her powers.”

Jeff’s nostrils flared as he blew out a hard breath, narrowing his eyes. “Alright... Alright.”

“Good man,” Gildenhos praised quickly before snapping to a straightened posture. “I can get you in. You have to move fast, understand? The wind-”

“Just do it, Gildenhos!” Jeff snapped, and with a quick nod, Jeff disappeared in a column of fire.
