#Gid doesn’t like how little Kremy eats at mealtimes. but at least he’s eating something

Kremy wouldn’t tell you this, but since meeting back up with Torbek at the Inn, he’s been giving the bugbear a larger helping of food at mealtime. If you ask him about it, he’ll get all defensive and say something about making sure Torbek has the strength to fight, and it’s partially true. But it’s also partially because he remembers when Gideon was that emaciated, and some part of him can’t stand to see Torbek so emaciated like that—even if he isn’t a big fan of the bugbear. And, besides, he’ll just ask for seconds anyway, so might as well, yknow? (Even though Torbek wouldn’t dare ask for seconds. He still doesn’t ask for seconds, even when he’s still hungry.)

It’s been slow going, but by the time they get to Yon, Torbek has a little bit more meat on his bones. He’s still incredibly skinny, but…a little bit less so. He fills out his shirt a little more, at least. It doesn’t hang off of him like it’s a size too big anymore, and while it isn’t much, Kremy can’t help but notice. And he can’t help but feel a sense of pride.
