Busted for Weed in Oakland, CA? How a Criminal Defense Attorney Can Turn the Tide
Tumblr media
Getting caught with weed in Oakland might seem like a nightmare, especially if you thought California’s legalization meant you were in the clear. But the rules around cannabis are more complex than many realize. Whether it’s an issue with possession limits, intent to distribute, or a problem involving minors, these situations can escalate quickly. The good news? A skilled Criminal Defense Attorney in Oakland, CA, can help you navigate the storm and protect your rights.
Understanding California’s Cannabis Laws
First things first: weed is legal in California—but only to a point. Adults 21 and older can possess up to 28.5 grams of cannabis or 8 grams of concentrated cannabis for personal use. Going over those amounts or carrying them in restricted areas like schools can lead to charges. Selling or distributing weed without the proper licenses? That's another ballgame entirely.
Oakland, in particular, has progressive policies, but there’s still a line you can’t cross. When you find yourself on the wrong side of the law, it’s time to understand the charges against you and how a defence attorney can step in.
Why You Need a Criminal Defence Attorney
The legal system is no walk in the park, especially when cannabis-related charges are involved. Police and prosecutors might try to paint your case in the worst possible light. This is where a Criminal Defense for Marijuana Offenses makes all the difference.
An attorney with expertise in Oakland’s cannabis laws will:
Examine the Details: They’ll analyze whether your rights were violated during the arrest. Was the search lawful? Did the officers follow proper procedure?
Challenge Evidence: Sometimes, the evidence against you isn't as solid as it seems. Your attorney can question its validity and argue to have it dismissed.
Advocate for Lesser Charges: If outright dismissal isn’t possible, they can push for reduced charges or alternatives like diversion programs.
Common Defences for Cannabis Charges
Depending on your case, your lawyer might use several strategies to defend you. These could include:
Unlawful Search and Seizure: If the police didn’t have a warrant or valid reason to search you, the evidence could be thrown out.
Lack of Intent: Just because you had a little extra weed doesn’t mean you intended to sell it. Proving personal use can reduce charges.
Medical Cannabis Use: If you have a valid medical card, your attorney can argue your case based on the Compassionate Use Act.
Turning a Setback into a Comeback
Being busted for weed in Oakland doesn’t have to ruin your life. With the right attorney, you can fight back and, in some cases, even have your record cleared. California offers expungement options for certain cannabis offences, which can wipe the slate clean.
The key is acting fast. Waiting too long to hire an attorney or ignoring court dates can make things worse. Once you have a legal expert on your side, you can face the situation head-on and work toward a positive outcome.
Don’t Let One Mistake Define You
Getting caught with weed might feel like a massive setback, but it’s not the end of the road. A strong Criminal Defense for Marijuana Offenses can be the game-changer you need. They’ll know how to challenge charges, protect your rights, and keep your record as clean as possible.
So, if you’ve found yourself in a tough spot, don’t panic. Call an experienced attorney, and let them help you turn things around. In Oakland, there’s always a way to fight back.

Weed Dispensary in Modesto: A Comprehensive Guide
The rise of cannabis culture has led to the proliferation of weed dispensaries across the United States, and Modesto is no exception. With a growing number of establishments catering to both medical and recreational users, the city has become a hub for cannabis enthusiasts. This article will explore everything you need to know about weed dispensaries in Modesto, including common questions, what to expect, and tips for a positive experience.
What is a Weed Dispensary?
A weed dispensary is a licensed establishment where individuals can purchase cannabis products. These dispensaries offer a variety of products, including flowers, edibles, concentrates, and topicals. In Modesto, dispensaries cater to both medical marijuana patients and recreational users, making it important to understand the legal landscape before visiting.
Legal Landscape in Modesto
In California, cannabis is legal for both medical and recreational use. Medical patients must possess a valid medical marijuana card, while recreational users need to be at least 21 years old and have a valid ID. It's essential to check the local regulations in Modesto, as some areas may have restrictions on the number of dispensaries or their hours of operation.
What to Expect When Visiting a Weed Dispensary in Modesto
Visiting a weed dispensary in Modesto can be an exciting experience, especially for first-timers. Here’s what you can expect:
Welcoming Environment: Many dispensaries strive to create a welcoming atmosphere. You’ll often find knowledgeable staff who can help guide you through your options.
Product Variety: Dispensaries typically carry a wide range of products. You’ll find various strains of cannabis, edibles like gummies and chocolates, tinctures, and topical applications.
Consultation Services: Many dispensaries offer consultation services where you can discuss your needs with a budtender. They can help you choose the right product based on your preferences and desired effects.
Safe and Secure Transactions: Most dispensaries prioritize customer safety, ensuring that all transactions are conducted securely and discreetly.
Common Questions About Weed Dispensaries in Modesto
1. How Do I Choose the Right Dispensary?
When selecting a weed dispensary in Modesto, consider factors such as location, product variety, customer reviews, and staff knowledge. It’s a good idea to visit a few dispensaries to find one that suits your needs best.
2. What Products Can I Find?
Weed dispensaries in Modesto typically offer a range of products, including:
Flower: Various strains of cannabis in their natural form.
Edibles: Food products infused with cannabis, such as gummies, cookies, and beverages.
Concentrates: Potent cannabis extracts like oils, waxes, and shatter.
Topicals: Cannabis-infused creams and balms for localized relief.
3. Are Prices Comparable?
Prices at weed dispensaries in Modesto can vary based on the product type and quality. It’s advisable to compare prices among different dispensaries to ensure you’re getting a fair deal. Many dispensaries also offer discounts for first-time customers or loyalty programs for frequent buyers.
4. Do I Need a Medical Card?
For recreational users aged 21 and older, a medical card is not required to purchase cannabis products at dispensaries in Modesto. However, if you’re a medical user, having a valid medical marijuana card can provide additional benefits, such as access to higher potency products or lower prices.
5. What Are the Hours of Operation?
Hours of operation for weed dispensaries in Modesto can vary, with some open seven days a week. It’s best to check the specific dispensary’s website or call ahead to confirm their hours, especially on holidays.
Tips for Your First Visit to a Weed Dispensary in Modesto
Do Your Research: Familiarize yourself with the different strains and products available. Knowing what you want can make your visit smoother.
Ask Questions: Don’t hesitate to ask the budtender for recommendations or information about the products. They are there to help you.
Start Low and Go Slow: If you’re trying edibles or concentrates for the first time, start with a low dose and see how it affects you before consuming more.
Bring Cash: While many dispensaries now accept debit and credit cards, it's wise to carry cash, as some establishments may prefer it.
Conclusion
A weed dispensary in Modesto offers a unique experience for both new and seasoned cannabis users. By understanding the local regulations, knowing what to expect, and preparing for your visit, you can make the most of your trip. Whether you're seeking relief from a medical condition or simply looking to enjoy cannabis recreationally, Modesto’s dispensaries have something for everyone.

How Tourists Can Buy Recreational Weed in Los Angeles
While marijuana isn’t legal in all states, if you are old enough to purchase alcohol in California, you are also legally old enough to buy recreational weed in Los Angeles. However, your purchase doesn’t come without rules and regulations. In other words, it’s not a free-for-all, and you will need to comply with the guidelines as you make a legal marijuana purchase.
Find a Reputable Seller of Recreational Weed in Los Angeles There are generally two kinds of dispensaries – recreational and medical. If you visit a medical marijuana dispensary, you will need to have proof that the substance has been medically prescribed. If not, you will need to visit a recreational dispensary. In either case, be sure you find a reputable dispensary so that you can be sure you are getting a quality product.
You Need Cash and an I.D. Most, if not all, dispensaries require you to pay in cash and you must have identification with you or you will be turned away. In fact, most dispensaries will check your ID at the door before you are admitted to the sales floor. Most credit card companies don’t want to be part of the marijuana purchasing process because it’s not legal on a federal level yet. Most dispensaries also refuse to accept a debit card, but they do offer an ATM so that you can access cash to make your purchase.
Purchase Quotas There are rules about the maximum amount of weed that you can buy in any given transaction, which is 28.5 grams. However, that’s a lot more than a tourist would need so make sure you consider getting it home. Limits for weed concentrates (edibles, etc.) are 8 grams at a given transaction. Leftover marijuana won’t be allowed through the airport so if you’re flying home, you will need to get rid of it somehow. In other words, don’t buy more than you can consume while you’re in Los Angeles.
Tips for Making a Marijuana Purchase There are quite a few helpful tips that you can use when you visit a dispensary in Los Angeles. It makes sense to know a little bit about the product, but beyond that, your dispensary can help guide you to a decision. The best tips are as follows:
Ask a budtender if you don’t know exactly what you want – they are trained to help you decide. Know the difference between THC and CBD. Keep the container closed until you get home – open containers are not legal, just like alcohol Do not share your purchase with any minors Don’t use weed in public places or you could get a citation and fine Don’t take your marijuana across state lines Don’t smoke anywhere where it is prohibited If you want to buy recreational weed in Los Angeles, we can help. If you are of legal age and want a high quality product from a reputable marijuana dispensary, contact Roots LA today and we will get you set with exactly what you want and need.

Can You Get a VA Medical Cannabis Card Online?
An official Virginia medical cannabis card is required to buy cannabis products from any of the state’s dispensaries, licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy to operate the facilities.
A VA medical cannabis card may also be accepted by dispensaries in other states. While Virginia itself offers no reciprocity, 13 other states offer some level of reciprocity to holders of VA cards.
These include but are not limited to Arizona, Arkansas, California, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Montana.
That said, there are also several requirements for getting a Virginia medical marijuana card. Let’s take a look at these and offer an alternative process by which you can get a VA medical cannabis card online.
Requirements, from the State
According to the Code of Virginia 54.1-3408.3, a written certificate from a Virginia Board of Pharmacy practitioner is required for possession of medical cannabis.
This certificate enables patients, as well as parents and legal guardians to possess medical cannabis.
An up-to-date, valid certificate from a board-registered practitioner is required before the dispensary can serve the patient. The certificate expires annually and must be renewed every year.
For incapacitated adult patients, parents and legal guardians can submit an application, provided they reside at the same address. Parents and legal guardians must also obtain their own board registration.
For more information on requirements, visit Virginia’s official website for the Department of Health Professions.
In addition to the previous requirements, applications for a VA medical cannabis card must also be 18 years of age, have a state-issued ID, a current resident address in the State of Virginia, and a written certification from a licensed physician in Virginia.
It may sound like a lot of hoops to jump through, but there is actually an easy (and affordable) way to get your VA medical cannabis card online. The following section will cover the steps.
How to Get a VA Medical Cannabis Card Online?

Which Are The Best Strains For Autism?
Tumblr media
The best strains for autism include Afghani, Blue Dream, Green Crack, Chocolope, and Charlotte’s Web, among others. Many factors make a marijuana strain ideal for treating autism. But even before getting to the strain, many important factors come to mind when considering marijuana treatment for autism. This article highlights most of the issues surrounding medical marijuana treatment for autism and concludes with a discussion on the best strains to turn to when the autism seems to get the better of your child.
What is Autism Spectrum Disorder?
Autism is a spectrum of disorders that are linked to impairment in neural development. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) encompasses a range of disorders characterized by issues with communication and social interaction. Because this is a spectrum, the symptoms will vary depending on where the child is placed on the spectrum. For example, children with Asperger’s syndrome (an autistic spectrum disorder) have significant difficulties in social interaction. In extreme cases, the affected child cannot carry out most self-care activities on their own. In mild cases, one can hardly tell that the child is autistic unless trained to identify the subtle signs of autism. Symptoms of autism include having repetitive behavior, being non-verbal or having poor communication skills, and having impaired social skills, among others. These symptoms usually become apparent before three years of age. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), autism tends to be present in boys more than in girls, with a 4 to 1 ratio. According to the latest data, the CDC estimated that 1 in 59 children were identified with ASD in 2014. In most cases, autism is not a life sentence. With adequate care, a child should be able to lead a near-normal life. While there are no cures for ASD, certain therapies have been helpful in improving symptoms. Treatment options include behavioral, occupational, speech, physical, and play therapy. In terms of alternative treatment options, it is speculated that marijuana could help children cope with the negative effects of autism, but further research is needed to verify this preliminary evidence.
Is it Ethical to Treat Children with Medical Cannabis?
There has been controversy on the use of marijuana treatment on children. In 2015, the Canadian Pediatric Society issued a statement saying that there was insufficient data on the efficacy or safety of cannabis use in children. But since the FDA approved Epidiolex, a cannabis-based drug, to treatintractable childhood seizures, the medical fraternity has become less skeptical about medical cannabis use in children. The issue of ethics is not a straightforward one. Marijuana strains with high CBD and low THC are considered safe and therefore ethical for use in children. However, high THC strains are treated with skepticism; the long-term effects of THC on the developing brain are controversial. Thus, high-CBD/low-THC strains are preferred when dealing with autism in children, unless the case is palliative. The following states have included autism on their list of qualifying conditions for medical marijuana.
Is Medical Marijuana Approved For Autism
Medical marijuana is approved for autism in the following states: - Delaware - Georgia - Illinois - Iowa - Louisiana - Michigan - Minnesota - Missouri - New Mexico - Pennsylvania - The Territory of Puerto Rico - Rhode Island - Texas - Utah - Florida - Oklahoma - Oregon - Massachusetts - Washington DC - Colorado - California Each state sets its own rules for the use of medical marijuana within its jurisdiction. Pennsylvania was the first state to approve marijuana for the treatment of childhood autism. To get approved for medical cannabis for autism, you’ll need a written recommendation from a qualified medical marijuana doctor allowing you to obtain a medical marijuana card.
Cannabis for Autism: What Research Says
Research into cannabis and autism spectrum disorders is still new. In 2018, a Stanford University study found that anandamide levels (the bliss molecule) was lower in children with ASD. Some research suggests that THC produces more intense and similar effects to anandamide. In theory, THC could be a promising option for autism patients. A study published in 2019 in the Journal of Nature found that cannabis can relieve symptoms of autism such as seizures, restlessness, cognitive impairment, speech impairment, and fits of rage. The study was titled “Real life experience of medical cannabis treatment in autism; analysis of safety and efficacy.” In this study, 188 patients with autism spectrum disorder were followed up over six months. Most patients were treated with a cannabis oil containing 30% CBD and 1.5% THC. After six months of treatment, 82.4% of patients were in active treatment and 60.0% have been assessed. Here are the results of the study: - 1% of patients reported improvement in symptoms - 7% reported moderate improvement - 4% of patients reported slight improvement - 6% reported no change in condition - About 25% of patients experienced at least 1 side effect from the treatment (the most common was restlessness) Overall, cannabis was found to be a “well tolerated, safe, and effective option to relieve symptoms associated with ASD.” A 2018 study performed at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center tested the effect of a whole-plant cannabis extract (20:1 CBD:THC) on 60 autistic children who displayed severe behavioral issues. Here are the results: - Behavioral outbreaks were much improved or very much improved in 61% of patients - Anxiety and communication issues were much or very much improved in 39% and 47%, respectively - Disruptive behaviors were improved by 29% - Parents reported lower stress levels, by 33% - Adverse effects included sleep disturbances (14%), irritability (9%), and loss of appetite (9%) In a study published in 2018 titled “Oral Cannabidiol Use in Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder to Treat Related Symptoms and Co-morbidities,” 53 children with autism were given a dose of 20:1 ratio of CBD to THC for a period of 66 days. - Self-injury and rage attacks improved in 67.6% and worsened 8.8% - Hyperactivity symptoms improved in 68.4%, did not change in 28.9% and worsened in 2.% - Sleep problems improved in 71.4% and worsened in 4.7% - Anxiety improved in 47.1% and worsened in 23.5% - Adverse effects were primarily mild drowsiness and loss of appetite Keep in mind, studies into autism and cannabis have been focused on observational results without a control group. Results were based on reports by parents, which may have been affected by expectations. Trials into autism and cannabis are underway by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the University of San Diego, and New York University’s Langone Health research facility.
Best Ways to Consume Cannabis for Autism
There is a lot of anecdotal evidence to suggest that treating autism with medical cannabis is effective. However, not every method of administration is good for children. For instance, inhalation such as smoking cannabis is not suggested due to the carcinogens present in the smoke. Instead, medical cannabis can be administered in the following ways: - Edibles: Cannabis infused foods and drinks can provide long-lasting effects. While the onset of effects can take between one or two hours, the effects can last for about six to eight hours, a considerable increase compared to other methods of consumption. - Tinctures: Tinctures such as THC and/or CBD oils can be used to infuse foods with cannabis or applied sublingually (under the tongue). Sublingual absorption provides a quicker onset of effects (10 to 15 minutes) since the compounds absorb through mucous membranes under the tongue. - Vaping: Vaping is a less irritating method of consumption compared to smoking cannabis. Vape products produce a cannabis vapor instead of smoke, which can provide a fast onset of effects within minutes. Choosing the best way to administer cannabis can take some time. It is recommended to start with the lowest dose possible (2.5 to 5 mg) of cannabis and gradually build up to the desired effects.
Best Strains for Autism
Several cannabis strains work for autism and its comorbidities. However, a few options stand out as the best marijuana strains that can provide maximum relief for the symptoms of autism. High-CBD strains are recommended to help manage behavioral issues and provide relief for seizures. CBD-rich strains have shown to be beneficial in improving communication and reducing hyperactivity, hypersensitivity, and self-harm behavior. The best cannabis strains to try include the following: 1. Blue Dream This is a sativa dominant hybrid strain that hails from California. It has been labeled as the “aspirin form of cannabis” for its highly therapeutic benefits that make it ideal for everyday use- the marijuana strain to always have in your medicine cabinet. Blue Dream strain is helpful in suppressing pain and the discomfort that comes with autism. 2. Green Crack Green Crack is a sativa dominant hybrid strain with Skunk #1 genetics. It is the ultimate wake-and-bake strain and has been used to combat autism stress and aggression. It also helps to increase focus and has been used to increase concentration in people with autism. 3. LA Confidential This is a strong indica strain that produces total body relaxation when consumed. It has been used to trigger relaxation and reduce social anxiety in patients on the autism spectrum disorder. With a THC of up to 25%, this strain should be consumed in moderation. 4. Afghani Afghani is an indica strain with strong sedative properties. It causes blissful relaxation and can help to relieve autistic aggression, anxiety, and depression. 5. Charlotte’s Web Charlotte’s Web is one of the most popular marijuana strains rich in CBD and low in THC. It has been the go-to strain for treating childhood seizures, and now it is drawing attention as a potential go-to strain for autism. With less than 0.3% THC, it is ideal for children as well as adults with autism. It has potent anxiety-relieving properties and strong calming properties. It can be used to alleviate autism-related aggression. 6. Sour Diesel Sour Diesel is a high-THC, sativa-dominant strain known for its cerebral and energizing effects. Medical cannabis patients have used this strain to help relieve symptoms related to anxiety, stress, depression, and pain. Since people with autism may have issues socializing, Sour Diesel may provide blissful and invigorating effects to improve socialization.
Is Medical Marijuana Safe for Children?
According to CDC reports, 1 in every 59 children in the US is on the autism spectrum disorder. Anecdotal evidence supports the use of cannabis in treating autism symptoms. Mothers Advocating Medical Marijuana for Autism (MAMMA) is an autism-focused advocacy group that advocates for greater accessibility to medical marijuana treatment for people with autism. A couple of patient testimonials can be found on the MAMMA website on the safety and efficacy of marijuana in treating childhood autism. For now, evidence from research is still preliminary. Further research is needed to confirm the safety of medicinal marijuana treatment in children with autism.
Can CBD Oil Help with Aggression Caused by Autism?
Anecdotal evidence has shown that CBD can be used to relieve symptoms of autism, including aggression. CBD has calming and anti-anxiety properties.  A few studies investigating the link between marijuana and autism have shown that CBD can indeed reduce aggression related to autism. This brings us to the end of the best strains for autism; let us know if you have tried any and if they have worked for you.

The Overview of the Qualifications for Virginia Medical Marijuana Card
The Virginia Medical Marijuana Card is the official authorization for any patient to qualify for and access medical cannabis in the state of Virginia. Offered by the Virginia Department of Health, the card allows medically certified individuals who have been diagnosed with an approved medical condition to receive safe and legal access to medical marijuana. This card serves as proof to law enforcement officers and medical cannabis retailers that the holder has successfully completed both the requisite health care practitioner registration process and medicinal cannabis evaluation. In addition to this card, Virginia requires retail establishments and physicians to meet certain guidelines and qualifications in order to operate in the medical cannabis industry. As such, there are a few key aspects that all potential participants must consider before exchanging medical marijuana.
Defining Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility requirements for a medical marijuana card vary by state. Generally, medical patients must be over 18 years of age and have been diagnosed with one of the qualifying conditions approved by their particular state. These conditions usually include severe and chronic pain, nausea, and several epilepsy care disorders. Moreover, many states prefer that the patient has tried alternative treatments such as pharmaceuticals without alleviating symptoms before beginning medical marijuana treatments. For example, the state of California requires prospective patients to get written and signed recommendations from their physician to qualify for a medical cannabis card.
Establishing Medical Documentation Requirements
Much like the eligibility requirements, the medical documentation needed to get a medical marijuana card also varies by state. Documentation requirements often include uploading recent medical records detailing the patient’s diagnosis, a statement from the patient’s physician attesting to the patient using medical marijuana for their condition, and a photo of the patient. Some states may even require additional documentation such as proof of identity, so it’s important to research the requirements for the state you’re in.
Outlining Required Fees
The fees associated with obtaining a medical marijuana card vary significantly based on the state. Fees usually range from twenty to one hundred dollars, and may be less or more depending on the state you’re in. These fees usually cover the cost of the approval process and granting of the card. There may also be an additional fee if the patient needs to renew their card annually, and this fee varies widely as well.
Explaining the Application Process
The application process for a medical marijuana card is similar in every state that allows it. Generally, the patient will need to fill out an application with personal information and details about their medical condition. Once that application is accepted, the patient will need to provide medical documentation and pay any required fees. After the documentation and payment have been submitted, the patient will typically receive their medical marijuana card within a few days to weeks.
Identifying Approved Conditions for Medical Marijuana Card Certification
Every state has different laws and regulations regarding what medical conditions qualify for medical marijuana card certification. Commonly approved conditions include cancer, glaucoma, severely debilitating pain, chronic muscle spasms, HIV/AIDS, and any other chronic or severe medical condition that can be alleviated with medical marijuana treatments. Many states additionally require physicians to prove that alternative treatments have been ineffective or too risky before they can certify a patient for a medical marijuana card.
Understanding the Physician’s Role in Obtaining a Medical Marijuana Card
Before a patient can receive a medical marijuana card, they usually must obtain written approval from their physician. The physician must provide documentation that the patient’s condition is one of the approved medical conditions for medical marijuana treatments and that the patient can benefit from these treatments. The physician’s signature will need to be notarized, and the document will usually be reviewed by the state’s board of medicine or health department before the patient can be certified.
Exploring the Benefits of Getting Certified
Obtaining a medical marijuana card has many benefits. Patients will be able to purchase medical marijuana legally and safely from local dispensaries. Moreover, patients with a medical marijuana card can often get a stronger dosage of medicine than what is available at retail stores. Calling all stoners, I'm in need of your knowledge.
I'm having major surgery next month and my surgeon's team told me that I'm going to have to stop smoking in advance since I told them I have my medical marijuana card and I wasn't sure to what degree weed was included under the no smoking rule. When I asked about vaping since I don't vape nicotine (just CBD and THC), they said the same rules apply but the wait time to smoke again isn't too long.
I also asked about edibles, which they said were perfectly fine. The problem I'm having is finding solid alternatives to get by until then. I had one tincture that was a super mid 1:1 and I'd have to take one to two mL (4x-8x doses) to possibly feel anything. My new vape cart is 3x what I'd take hits off with someone and now trying to find something to match that is what gets me.
I was told I could try an RSO, but I worry about shelling out money on something that will be ineffective for me. My dispo is cool, as are the budtenders I talk to so I think they could help, but I'm also not 100% opposed to finding edibles online if anyone has advice. If it helps at all, I'm in Pennsylvania and the laws here area bit different from other stoners I've talked to who are in Oregon, Arizona, New Jersey, California, Rhode Island, Illinois, and Virginia.
So, this is where you guys come into play. If you have any advice or personal recommendations, that would be incredible. I know the CBD subreddit has a nice library of vetted shops, but seeing other takes is nice.

Guide to Weed Delivery in Los Angeles
Legalizing weed in many states means easier access to the product, whether you use it recreationally or for medical purposes. As the industry has grown, thrived and evolved, there is now the possibility for weed delivery in Los Angeles. This was useful during the pandemic when stores were closed and people couldn’t get out to buy their marijuana. However, it proved so lucrative that many dispensaries are continuing with the practice. That means that much like you order your dinner or your groceries, you can also have your weed delivered right to you. Sounds pretty great, right? Here’s your guide to weed delivery in the Los Angeles area.
Is Weed Delivery in Los Angeles Legal? This is a good question and ensures that you aren’t taking part in any activities that are illegal. In Los Angeles, weed delivery is legal, provided you are over 21 and have current and valid identification when the product is dropped off. There are regulations regarding delivery areas and hours of operation, so be aware of those when you place your order. Delivery does not include industrial sales but is legal for delivery to an exclusive address. You must be present to accept the order, as it will likely not be dropped off for you to collect later.
Recreational or Medical? The main difference between recreational weed users and medical weed users is that the latter pays fewer taxes and can buy in larger quantities. Medical marijuana cards can be difficult to get and with the legalization of weed in California, you don’t actually need one. However, if you want to have medical marijuana delivered, the rules are the same as if you visit the dispensary. You will need your medical marijuana card and a doctor’s certification. You may have to present this information when you order online, as well as when your weed is delivered.
How Does Delivery Work? Weed delivery works much like any other delivery you’ve taken advantage of, including pizza or groceries. You simply place your order online and it’s fulfilled by a staff member here at the dispensary. Then one of our friendly delivery people brings the product right to your door. Choose from loose weed, edibles, tinctures, infusions or any other product we offer. Remember that delivery happens at the curb at an established address only. You will need to have your identification available when the order is delivered.
Tips for Making an Order Now that you know you can have your weed delivered to your door, it’s time to make an order. Fortunately, this is pretty easy to do and won’t take you much time. It’s a good idea to have in mind what you want so that you don’t get lost looking through the options. It also helps to place your order before you run out of your current product, which keeps you from being dry while you wait for your delivery.
Ready to take advantage of weed delivery in Los Angeles? Contact Roots LA today and we can help you place your order and get it delivered to you in no time at all.
