Georgia paced the room. "Is it not weird that we just came to be one day?"

"It's called birth, smart-ass." Gengo rolled his eyes and huffed. "Ate some philosophical soup today?"

Gigi stopped pacing the room to frown at Gengo. "No, 'smart-ass'- Hey! I would not say that!" Gigi stomped her feet. "I do not even know what it means!"

"It's a funny insult, Gigi." I smile.

Gigi looked at me wide-eyed. "Who-Who are you? How- How do you know my name?"

"I gave it to you." I smile at Gigi once more.

"'Gave'... it to me?" Gigi squinted her eyes at me, skeptical. Then she took a step back, opening her mouth in awe. "You- You- lo-look like me?!"

I laugh nervously and scratch the top of my head. "That's a story for another day! Bye!"

"Hey!" Gigi yelled after me in vain. "Did- Did you see that?" The teacher turned to the polyglot.

"See what?"

"That... That person! They were here just this moment!" She threw her hands in the air.

"There is just you and me? Are you feeling okay? Do you have a fever?"

"But... But! They were talking to me, did you not hear them?" Gigi looked hopeless.

"Are you sure it wasn't just your pure imagination?" Gengo raised an eyebrow and inspected Gigi from head to toe.

"Not hers, but mine for sure." I smile at them mischievously, leaving them both shocked.

Almost forgot to show Interview Flashback (of what I can remember lol)

WHAT HAPPENED in the Interview

[The nice lady asked me if it was alright if I could introduce myself in Japanese and I agreed and nervously chuckled with her]

Me : はじめまして、私の名前 (なまえ) はクリスタルです。えっと、私は大学生 (だいがくせい) で、22歳 (さい )です。

Romanji: Hajimemashite, watashi no namae wa Kurisutaru desu. Etto, watashi wa daigakusee (daigakusei) de, 22 sai.

How do you do, my name is Crystal. Uh, I am a college student and 22 years old.

[In Japanese she asked me about my hobbies but unsure she kind of mentioned half the question 'like what hobbies?' in English most likely sensed my nervousness in my pause {forgot entirely of the sentence but yeah}]

Me : 私の趣味 (しゅみ ) は音楽 (おんがく) を聞く(きく)とよく本(ほん)を読みます(よみます)。

Romanji : Watashi no shuumi wa ongaku wo kiku to yoku hon wo yomimasu.

My hobbies are listening to music and often read a book.

Me : ちょっと待て　(ちょっとまって: chotto matte) 、私はめっちゃ恥ずかしい (はずかしい)です。

Romanji : Chotto matte, watashi wa meccha hazukashii desu.

Wait a minute, I'm very shy.

Her : 大丈夫 (だいじょうぶ :

daijoobu/daijoubu)！^u^

Her : It's okay!/ That's alright ! ^_^

Me : お！私もの趣味も言語(げんご)を勉強しています(べんきょうしています)。

Romanji : O! watashi mo no shuumi mo gengo wo benkyoushiteimasu (benkyooshiteimasu).

Oh! my hobby is also studying languages.

Her : おー！言語 (げんご)? O! Gengo?

{I hope I said languages to her to where she repeats out of curiosity and not confusion help}

[we chuckled again and I said yes in Japanese like the formal one and she was calmly said ok]

The lady was sweet to me and I didn't feel too much pressure because she spoke so softly and patiently. Surprisingly, I'd like to cherish this memory. I stuttered with the second half of the hobbies because so many things going on. {looking back I forgot some stuff too and answered differently)

I feel like backflipping at the edge of my bed, SCREAMING.

So, this morning I had somewhat of an interview? A person from the job called me and was talking to me about an job I was reached out for.

ANYWAY! The lady I was talking to was nice and I wasn't as scared or nervous as usual to talk.

UNTIL SHE ASKED ME TO TALK ABOUT MYSELF IN JAPANESE TO WHICH MY ANXIETY VISITED ME AND GAVE ME A BIG OL' HUG.

She said I did well with my level but I'm just thinking back to the mistakes I made. 🥹 The one I facepalm the most is repeating half the question and then answering! What I though was cute though is my usage of 私　わたし watashi as if I'm still in school lol.

Though I don't feel as bad making the mistakes. Something that builds character.

At least I didn't feel judged by the lady and we giggled at times.

Dancing In Sunshowers

It was a sunny summer day, specifically the 24th of June, Nailu’s birthday, and all of her friends were gathered in her home to celebrate it. Then suddenly rain started to cool the heat of the day. 

The first one to notice was Penny. “Ooo! What a nice coincidence! Sunshowers!” She smiled widely. “We should dance in them!” 

Nailu, the birthday girl, refused. She shook her head. “Niet! It’s slepoy dhezd’!” Nailu glared out of the window. “Dancing in the sunshowers! What a poor idea.” 

Penny didn’t lose her smile. “Oh? Is that what you call it in Russia? That’s cute! We all should share our stories then!” Penny clapped her hands together. “I would start but we don’t have any term for it in Spain.” Penny looked sad for a brief moment before inspecting the room for someone to start. 

Nina, Penny’s fianceé took the word. “I’ll be quick... since I’m American, it’s simply called sunshowers...” 

“Oh yeah.” Sophia cut in. “We as well, I’m British.” 

“I’ll take the word for myself and the other Japanese people, hm?” Enso started next and winked at Tsu, Gengo, and Destiny. “In Japan we call it kitsune no yomeiri-”

Gengo rolled his eyes and interrupted them. “The fox’s wedding.”

Enso shot daggers at him with their glare. “Ehm, well, yes, arigato, I knew that myself...” 

“At last, I’m British,” Teresa cut in between Enso and Gengo before they could start a fight, “but my father is German, so, we don’t really have one word for it, every country has its’ own term... But all of them have something to do with hell and the devil.”

In the meantime when the last story was told, the rain had stopped and the friend group could carry on with their celebration.
