When Dealing With An Unreasonable Contractor...
Tumblr media
F/N was the third generation of a sweets shop; the Raku-ame was once a Japanese-style sweets shop under her grandfather. However, after F/N's father graduated from the famous culinary institute in Portland, the Raku-ame became a store that made both Japanese and Western-style confectionery. The shop had many regular customers because it offered original branding and full-order packaging.
Tumblr media
“I want 20 boxes of doriyaki with our logo.” a long-time customer placed their order.
“I want 30 boxes of assorted Western sweets for year-end gifts.” a middle-aged housewife ordered.
“Thank you very much for your patronage.” F/N bade the customers farewell after each sale.
Tumblr media
The business was thriving, with orders constantly coming in.
As the third heir to Raku-ame, F/N was put in charge of the storefront; the clients loved her as a surrogate granddaughter.
But, there was one company that was a pain: Wide Wedding. It's the largest wedding hall in the prefecture, taking orders for wedding cakes and sweets, as well as pastries that were served at the cafe nearly every day. The Raku-ame was also asked to make sweets to serve at the dessert buffet during the reception.
F/N had known Wide Wedding since her father's generation; the person-in-charge in the beginning was mild-mannered and soft-spoken, generally a good person who took Raku-ame's convenience into consideration. But, after the predecessor retired, things started to go wrong. Ikeda, who was newly put in charge, was a man who looked down on the Raku-ame workers, calling them 'subcontractors'. Ikeda, who was the son of the director, had been acting arrogantly and F/N and her father father did not have a good impression on him. Since Ikeda was put in charge of business dealings, it made things difficult as he would often demand a lot of unreasonable things.
Tumblr media
“I received an order to put an original branding on a drawstring.” Ikeda slammed a piece of paper with a design on it onto the Raku-ame's front counter. “Use this design.”
“This is for next next week's wedding, right?” F/N gave the wall calendar a quick glance. “It might be a little difficult...”
“You're a subcontractor and you're talking back?” Ikeda fumed.
“We'd need a special mould for the branding and it'll take at least a week for that specific mould to be made by a craftsman.” F/N argued.
“Then, why don't you just get on with it?” Ikeda fired back. “I asked you to do it, now you guys adjust it and make it work. Don't think just because you're cute I'd cut you any slack. I should warn you, my client is a well-known blogger. So, if you offend them, you'd never know what they might write on their blogs. My company's creditability is at stake. Make sure you brand it with this design. If you don't do as you're told, I'll cancel the contract. If we cut you off, it would be a huge blow to your business, wouldn't it? Then do it.”
Tumblr media
Left with no choice, F/N's father had to ask the craftsman to make the mould on a super-express basis, managing to the delivery date.
After that, Ikeda continued to impose even more reckless demands.
Tumblr media
“I'm going to ask for additional gifts.” Ikeda returned to Raku-ame once again.
“How many?” F/N asked, taking out a notepad.
“A hundred.” Ikeda replied. “They said they wanted to distribute them to clients who will not be attending. Get on with it.”
“When is the delivery date?” F/N asked.
“It's a weekend wedding, so two days.” Ikeda answered. “If you refuse, I'll ask another sweet shop to do it for me. I won't use your place from now on, if you're okay with it...”
“I understand.” F/N sighed. “We will make it on time.”
Tumblr media
F/N's father and the other employees were angry, but knew that if they lost the contract with Wide Wedding, their sales will drop dramatically. So, they persevered and worked overtime and managed to meet the delivery deadline.
Tumblr media
“If you can do it, don't say it's impossible from the beginning.” Ikeda scoffed at the delivery person.
Tumblr media
After that, Ikeda kept asking for a change of the wedding cake's design at no additional costs, saying 'The customer's request has changed'. He even started to interfere with the ingredients, insisting 'Keep the price the same, but use better ingredients'.
As expected, F/N and her father were running out of patience; no matter how big the client was, there were boundaries that must be kept. After a family meeting, it was decided that they should renegotiate their contract with Wide Weddings.
Tumblr media
“The weekend gifts; they were all cancelled.” Ikeda informed one day before the wedding, shrugging. “A client had a falling out. The wedding was cancelled.”
“We've already finished the products and there's only the wrapping left.” F/N protested. “If you cancel at this point, we'll have to charge you a cancellation fee.”
“Who cares about that?” Ikeda snorted. “I'm also in a rush because of a sudden cancellation, so don't bother me anymore.”
“That's not going to happen.” F/N stood her ground. “The cancellation fee is written in the contract. You get the cancellation fee from the customer. You can at least pay us the cancellation fee from there.”
“Shut up.” Ikeda barked. “I'm on the edge of my seat because of a disgusting customer. I've placed many orders from you. Stop making a big deal out of one cancellation. If you keep talking back to me, all future transactions are off the table. Now cancel the order.”
“I understand.” F/N gave Ikeda a calm smile. “If you insist that much, we have no choice. We cannot do business with anyone who does not pay the cancellation fee. We will not do any business with you in the future.”
“Do you know what you are saying?” Ikeda was puzzled. “If that's what you want, fine. I'll report your rudeness to my superiors and all business with you is off the table. You're going to pay for this. It's too late for regrets.” he spat out and left.
Tumblr media
F/N knew Ikeda probably blew the whistle to either his boss or his father, saying that Raku-ame was to blame for everything. That month ended Raku-ame's contract with Wide Wedding and the reason F/N and her family wasn't panicking was because...
Tumblr media
“You look stressed.” Chigiri entered the Raku-ame, bringing the Blue Lock contenders along with him.
“Hyoma...” F/N blinked at the redhead's surprise visit.
“Ikeda giving you trouble?” Chigiri guessed.
“What was your first clue?” F/N sighed.
“Take a break.” Chigiri planted a quick kiss on F/N's fringe. “I'll take over from here.”
“Say, F/N.” Mikage Reo addressed the Raku-ame heiress after everyone's purchases were packaged. “Chigiri mentioned your shop is the most reputable, long-established sweets shop in Kagoshima and the Mikage Corporation is looking to expand into Kagoshima. We intend to build a wedding hall here, therefore we're making the first move and inviting you as a full-time staff member.”
“Let me call my father out.” F/N retreated back and got her father out.
And with that, Reo made his pitch to F/N's father, with F/N's father handling the final contract signing weeks later.

We've made it to our first intermission! Special thanks to my dad, a former journalist, for writing the newspaper articles for me. I gave him a basic outline and he did incredible work.
[Article 1 Transcript: Portland radio jock to call Meteor Flats Home Radio personality will be taking your calls on local station KWTF-AM Cecily Palmer Meteor Flats Gazette (Jan. 6, 2019) Big-city radio jock Barney Hopkins will be bringing his unique brand of news, commentary, and community reporting to Meteor Flats with the premiere of his call-in show, Voices on the Air, on our local public radio station, KWTF-AM. “I want to bring my brand of storytelling to a whole new group of people,” Hopkins said. “Kicking around the Pacific Northwest for a few years I’ve seen a lot of stuff — and I mean a lot — and one thing I’ve learned is that every little town has a big story to tell. And it’s usually a pretty weird one.” Meteor Flats’ airwaves are about to get more than a little weirder, if you judge by Hopkins record in famously weird Portland, OR. While a student at Portland State University he reportedly devoted a week-long series on campus radio to investigating claims of a Sasquatch living in the nearby Forest Park. Sources say he was kicked off the student radio station after a late-night interview that he claimed was conducted with a “moth-man,” although no tapes of the alleged incident exist and students who supposedly heard it said it consisted only of Hopkins asking questions interspersed with a “freaky buzzing sound, man.” “You’d have to be blind to think we’re alone on this big, strange, spinning ball of mud,” Hopkins told this reporter. “I’ve been calculating the vectors and time-tables, and I’m telling you — Meteor Flats is special, and I’m here to give a voice to the side of this community that the suit-and-tie types don’t want you to hear from!” Sources at Meteor Falls Community College & Technical School say Hopkins has been in contact with “certain fringe individuals” in the departments of Conceptual Physics and Speculative Biology, but Dean Alister Frumke has refused to comment on any association with the controversial Hopkins. Voices on the Air premieres at 9:30 p.m. on January 12 on KWTF, 999.9 AM. End transcript.]
[Article 2 transcript: Government project expected to draw traffic to the area, but critics are concerned Hiram McDougal Meteor Flats Gazette (April. 12, 2016) A new government project 15 miles outside our neighboring community of Carrion, NM, promises to bring jobs and business to our quiet corner of the state, but some area residents are worried about the secretive facility. Details are scarce, but the facility will reportedly be known as the Carrion National Lab for Unquantizable Physics Research. Signs visible Tuesday at the construction site credited the Grimke- Yao-Kandinsky Foundation as the funding entity, but the signs had been replaced by Wednesday with generic signage proclaiming “Good Things Coming, Just You Wait!” with a mascot character of a happy dancing atom. Some residents have expressed concern that the exact nature of the research to be conducted ta the facility is unknown. The college was unable to shine any light on the subject. “We have no official connection to the project,” proclaimed Meteor Flats Community College Dean Alister Frumke, “and nothing more to add at this time.” However, sources on the faculty reported that several members of the Department of Conceptual Physics had recently been granted multi-year sabbaticals, and the college itself had apparently obtained additional funding from unknown sources. Local contractors have confirmed that they have been hired to build a new covered parking and faculty pool facility for the school administration. Nonetheless, local business leaders were optimistic about the impacts of the new project. “It’s about time we got our own Area 51,” said Madge Plover, owner of the All Right All Night Diner on the south edge of town. “Get some tourists in here looking for flying whatnots. And all those research guys — researchers — whatever, they’ve got to go some place for a good meal — Lord knows Carrion isn’t exactly burstin’ with five-star eateries.” “I reckon I’ll offer them up a dis- count,” she added. “Ten percent off to anyone in a lab coat!” Access to the site has been limited by a new fence installed sometime between midnight Thursday and dawn Friday of last week. End transcript.]
[Article 3 transcript: Carrion residents claim lights, missing animals linked meteor flats experts skeptical about claims of “mystery lights” Hiram McDougal Editor, Meteor Flats Gazette Scientific authorities at Meteor Flats Community College and the prestigious yet mysterious Carrion National Laboratories are skeptical about claims of “mystery lights” and other phenomena in the skies over the tiny neighboring community of Carrion, NM. “I think if anything was going on in our airspace, we would have noticed,” said Dr. Helena Von Weber, formerly of the Meteor Flats college and currently listed as “director of unspecified research” at Carrion National Labs. Carrion residents have pestered sheriff’s deputies with reports of clusters of lights “flying in formation” over the small desert town for the past several weeks. Adding to the confusion, local rancher Daphne Frick has blamed the loss of a prize mare on the unknown aerial lights. “There was a light out back, bright as day, then it just shut off, like a door slamming shut, and the next morning she was just gone,” Frick said. She described the light as “cold and white, like a magnesium flare, but also kind of warm and purple, you know?” Area veterinarian Dr. Dani Ortega said no “unknown aerial phenomena” are needed to explain the disappearance. “Coyotes are a lot more likely than UFOs,” she said. “Dang things are clever. Hungry too.” “It’s just coyotes,” she repeated, convincingly. — Nov. 17, 2022 Unverified photo of “lights” submitted by a Carrion resident. End transcript.]

'Either you believe in free speech for views you dislike - or you don't believe in it at all' - Message to Queen's University Belfast from academics after Northern Irish institution pledges its enthusiasm for free expression and conscience
Either you believe in freedom of speech for views you dislike, or you don't believe in freedom of speech.
That is the message to Queen's University Belfast from major international academic Peter Boghossian, after it issued a statement stressing its enthusiasm for freedom of thought and expression in the face of pro-Palestinian protests.
The statement means the university is now caught in a "contradiction" he said, given that it recently adopted a policy compelling everyone on campus to accept transgender identities.
Other academics who are voicing similar sentiments are Edward Skidelsky and Liam Kennedy.
Dr Sidelsky is a lecturer in philosophy at the University of Exeter, and director of the Committee for Academic Freedom, while Prof Kennedy is a history professor at Queen's.
This most recent episode of the Queen's free speech saga began on May 9, when the university issued a statement after Palestine activists temporarily occupied its main building to protest against its ties to Israel.
In response, the university said: "Queen’s University Belfast is committed to freedom of expression, the right to hold a range of views, and the promotion and protection of the right to protest. This applies to our students, academics, and professional staff, and indeed the wider public."
In December The News Letter revealed details of its new QUB trans code, which states that if somebody uses a trans or "non-binary" person's “incorrect pronouns” on two or more occasions (even by accident) it will fall under "bullying and harassment".
Tumblr media
[ Peter Boghossian ]
This applies “regardless of whether or not that person has transitioned legally or surgically”.
The code also bars what it calls "derogatory jokes", also on pain of disciplinary action.
The code applies to all staff, students, student applicants, job applicants, plus "all visitors and anyone providing services to, or those contracted to work at, the University including sub-contractors".
(This followed a battle with the Queen's press office, which initially refused to hand over the relevant documentation.)
Peter Boghossian (293,000 Twitter followers) was a philosophy professor in Portland, USA, before quitting, accusing it of "intolerance of divergent beliefs and opinions".
He was one of the architects of the "grievance studies" scandal which saw him and others submit made-up research papers on feminism and gender to academic journals, many of which were published despite being surreally absurd.
Contrasting Queen's trans policy with its support for "the right to hold a range of views", Prof Boghossian said: "It is a contradiction.
"People in general, and it seems that academics in particular, only support free speech when they approve of the content of that speech."
On the worldwide Palestinian campus protests more widely, he added: "For many academics and diversity-equity-and-inclusion bureaucrats ‘Kill the Jews’ and ‘We need a Final Solution’ is protected speech, but asking people ‘Where are you from?’ or saying ‘I don’t see color’ are microaggressions."
Prof Sidelsky likewise said there is "inconsistency" in Queen's approach.
"Like many institutions, QUB is all for freedom of expression for views it agrees with, not for views it disagrees with," he said.
"But if you really believe in freedom of expression, you believe in it across the board."
And professor Liam Kennedy said that whilst the university's trans policy does not seem to be "a problem", it is "rather pointless, if not actually silly of Queen’s University to insist on making this a requirement backed up by disciplinary threats".
He added: "There is a danger of mission creep here, and disciplinary threats if exercised vigorously could end up producing a chill factor in relation to academic freedom."
Queen's was invited to comment but didn't.
==
Just in case anyone thinks Peter is using a strawman:
Tumblr media
[ Source: "Racial microaggressions in everyday life: Implications for clinical practice", Derald Wing Sue, et al. ]
Note that the QUB policy constitutes compelled speech. You're being forced to knowingly lie, or you'll be punished.

Mogil-Kahn Construction Company 1957 (Photo taken by Tim Aarons in March 2023 on Collins St. between Lankersheim and Tujunga).
Kahn was Edwin “Ed” Walter Kahn, born on June 3, 1922 in Pittsburg to “Theodore and Helen H. (Meyers),” and a “construction company executive, engineer” (Who’s who in the West: A Biographical Dictionary of Noteworthy Men and Women of the Pacific Coast and the Western States, A.N. Marquis Company, 1989). In 1935, he lived with is family in Portland, Oregon. He was still with his family in Portland in 1940 (per the 1940 U.S. Federal Census). However, he attended Fairfax Senior High School in Los Angeles, CA. Before WWII, he also attended UCLA, where he played soccer and baseball. In WWII, he was a lieutenant pilot in the USA Air Force -  a B-24 bomber pilot in the 89th and as a flight instructor. He was later a civil engineer and, if I understand the abbreviations correctly, he had gotten a B.S. degree in civil engineering from the University of California in 1948 (assuming Berkeley).
According to his obituary, he was a “Registered Professional Engineer and a licensed General Contractor.”
He married Arleen Barbara Rudolph on December 23, 1951, and they had two children - Gregory Michael and Julia Fran. He was the chief structural designer for General Engineering Service Company in Los Angeles in 1948 and then a partner in Pollak-Kahn & Associates, engineers, also in Los Angeles in 1949. and Mogil-Kahn Construction Company (World Who’s who in Commerce and Industry, Volume 10, Marquis-Who’s Who., 1957). He died February 5, 2016 and is buried in the Hollywood Hills Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Pollak-Kahn was located at 1106 S. La Cienega Boulevard, now LB4LB Boxing Gym (Glaziers Journal - Volume 35, pg. 60, 1956). One project they had was the design and engineering of “a fully integrated community for light industry” on a 100-acre “tract of industrial buildings and plant sites” (Industrial Development, Volumes 3-4, Conway Publications, 1956).
According to the realty company, Crisby Doe Associates, “it is clear that Pollack & Kahn fully mastered the now classic post & beam glass house style pioneered by the U.S.C. School of Architecture just after war. Their work seems most closely aligned with that of Richard Dorman’s designs of the period. The living spaces are lifted, and set above the carport to allow maximum light and views from the close-in hillside setting.”
Some more info from his obituary: “He retired after 40 years as a real estate developer and as President of Kahn Construction Co., Contractors and Engineers. He had a commercial pilot's license and served as a docent at the original Museum of Flying in Santa Monica. Ed was a member of the Masons, Scottish Rites, Shriners, Commemorative Air Force, Air Force Association, and the American Society of Civil Engineers. Ed is survived by his wife and best friend, Mariko, sons Greg and Winston, daughter Julie, stepdaughters Pam (Harry) Kraushaar and Andrea (Jeffrey) Lustgarten, stepson Mitchell Barnow (Dale Leininger) and step grandchildren, Shelby Powell (Brian), Kimberley Kraushaar, Brandon and Rachel Lustgarten.” (No mention of Arleen?) They also had two pets named Maya and Corey.
I have no idea who Mogil is. Really strange how I could find out so easily who Kahn was but not Mogil. Mogil may be Norbert V Mogil, who was located at 6517 W Olympic Blvd according to the Los Angeles Street Address Directory, 1956, May (Los Angeles Public Library).

Synthetic Stucco vs. Traditional Stucco: A Homeowner's Guide
Stucco, a decorative plaster finish commonly used on exterior walls, offers durability, insulation, and aesthetic appeal. However, when it comes to choosing the right type for your home, the decision often lies between synthetic and traditional stucco. Let's explore the key differences and advantages of each.
Traditional Stucco: The Classic Choice
Traditional stucco, often called Western 1-Kote, is a time-honored material made from a mixture of Portland cement, sand, lime, and water. It's known for its natural appearance, excellent durability, and fire resistance. Traditional stucco can be applied in various finishes, including smooth, textured, or stamped, allowing for customization. Pros: - Natural appearance - Excellent durability - Fire resistance - Customizable finishes Cons: - Requires more maintenance and repairs over time - Can be susceptible to cracking and moisture damage if not applied or maintained properly
Synthetic Stucco: A Modern Alternative
Synthetic stucco, also known as acrylic stucco, is a newer option composed of a polymer-based binder, sand, and pigments. It offers several advantages, including ease of application, lower maintenance requirements, and resistance to cracking. Pros: - Easier application - Lower maintenance requirements - Resistant to cracking - Available in a wide range of colors and textures Cons: - May not be as durable as traditional stucco in extreme weather conditions - Can be more susceptible to fading over time

Factors to Consider When Choosing
When deciding between synthetic and traditional stucco, consider the following factors: - Longevity: Both materials can last for many years with proper maintenance, but traditional stucco may have a slightly longer lifespan. - Maintenance: Synthetic stucco generally requires less maintenance than traditional stucco, as it is more resistant to cracking and fading. - Environmental Impact: Consider the environmental impact of the materials and the manufacturing process. Some synthetic stucco products may have a lower environmental impact than traditional stucco, which often requires more energy-intensive production. - Fire Resistance: Both materials are fire-resistant, but traditional stucco may offer slightly better fire protection. - Water Resistance: Both materials are water-resistant, but traditional stucco can be more susceptible to water damage if not applied correctly. - Budget: Synthetic stucco may be more cost-effective in the long run due to lower maintenance costs. - Aesthetic preferences: Traditional stucco offers a more natural look, while synthetic stucco provides a wider range of colors and textures. - Local building codes: Check with your local building department to ensure compliance with regulations.
Conclusion
Both synthetic and traditional stucco offer unique advantages and disadvantages. Ultimately, the best choice for your home will depend on your specific needs and preferences. By carefully considering these factors, you can select the stucco type that will provide both beauty and durability for years to come.

OPC Cement: Strength, Versatility, and Quality by Kamdhenu Cement
Tumblr media
When it comes to building strong foundations and ensuring the durability of construction, OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement) remains a top choice in the industry. Its reliable quality and proven performance make it indispensable in construction projects worldwide. Kamdhenu Cement, India’s number one cement manufacturer and supplier, offers a range of cement products, including high-quality OPC cement, that meet the needs of builders and contractors at competitive prices. Let’s explore the unique features of OPC cement, its applications, and why Kamdhenu Cement is the go-to brand for reliable and affordable cement solutions in India.
Understanding OPC Cement: Composition and Types
Ordinary Portland Cement, or OPC, is one of the oldest and most widely used types of cement. Known for its strong binding properties and quick setting times, OPC is primarily made from a blend of raw materials like limestone, clay, shells, and silica. These ingredients are finely ground, mixed, and then heated in kilns at very high temperatures to produce a fine grey powder that, when combined with water, forms a strong and durable paste.
OPC cement is classified into three main grades based on its compressive strength, each suited for different applications:
Grade 33 OPC: Suitable for general construction that doesn’t require high strength. It’s commonly used in plastering, flooring, and non-load-bearing walls.
Grade 43 OPC: Known for its durability, this grade is typically used in residential buildings, paving, and other structures where moderate strength is sufficient.
Grade 53 OPC: This is the strongest grade, ideal for high-stress construction projects such as high-rise buildings, bridges, and highways.
Advantages of OPC Cement in Construction
OPC cement is often preferred over other types of cement due to its inherent benefits. Here’s why it stands out:
High Early Strength: OPC cement sets and gains strength quickly, making it ideal for projects where a fast turnaround is required. This high initial strength also allows for faster project completion.
Versatility: OPC can be used in a wide range of construction projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. From masonry work to structural foundations, OPC’s versatility is unmatched.
Affordability: OPC cement is widely available and competitively priced, making it an affordable option for builders. Kamdhenu Cement offers OPC cement at the best prices without compromising on quality, helping construction companies optimize their budgets.
Durability: OPC cement creates a dense, strong paste that is resistant to cracking, making it suitable for structures that need to withstand heavy loads and weathering.
Compatibility with Admixtures: OPC works well with various admixtures, enhancing its properties and allowing builders to tailor it for specific needs. For example, using admixtures can reduce water content, improve workability, or increase setting times.
Applications of OPC Cement in Construction
Because of its strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness, OPC cement is used in a variety of construction applications. Some of the most common include:
Residential and Commercial Construction: OPC is the backbone of residential buildings, office complexes, and malls, providing the structural strength necessary for safe and long-lasting buildings.
Infrastructure Projects: From highways and bridges to tunnels and railways, OPC cement plays a crucial role in building resilient infrastructure.
Precast Concrete Products: OPC cement is frequently used in precast items like pipes, panels, blocks, and poles, where uniformity, strength, and durability are essential.

Understanding JSW Cement
JSW Cement has established itself as a leading cement manufacturer in India, known for its commitment to quality and sustainability. The company offers a variety of cement types, including Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC), and Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS) cement. These products cater to different construction needs, from residential buildings to large-scale infrastructure projects.
The unique selling proposition of JSW Cement lies in its focus on eco-friendliness. The company has adopted innovative manufacturing processes that minimize carbon emissions and use of natural resources. This approach not only appeals to environmentally conscious consumers but also aligns with India's broader sustainability goals.
Shree Sivabalaaji Steels (3S Groups)
Founded with a vision to provide quality construction materials, Shree Sivabalaaji Steels has carved a niche for itself in the steel and cement distribution sector. Known as 3S Groups, the company has built a reputation for reliability and efficiency. As an authorized distributor of JSW Cement, 3S Groups plays a crucial role in making JSW products available to consumers and builders across various regions.
3S Groups not only focuses on the distribution of cement but also provides a range of steel products. This dual focus allows them to cater to a wider audience, including contractors, builders, and individual customers. Their expertise in the construction materials sector positions them as a one-stop solution for all building needs.
Cement Pricing Dynamics
The rate of JSW Cement, like any other construction material, is influenced by several factors:
1. Raw Material Costs
The primary raw materials for cement production include limestone, clay, and gypsum. Fluctuations in the prices of these materials directly impact the cost of cement. For instance, if the price of coal (used in the manufacturing process) increases, it can lead to higher cement prices.
2. Transportation and Logistics
Cement is a bulky product that incurs significant transportation costs. The distance from manufacturing plants to distribution centers or construction sites plays a vital role in determining the final price. Factors like fuel prices and logistical efficiency also come into play.
3. Market Demand and Supply
The demand for cement fluctuates with the construction industry's health. During peak construction seasons, demand surges, potentially leading to price hikes. Conversely, during slow periods, prices may stabilize or even decrease as manufacturers aim to maintain sales volumes.
4. Government Policies and Taxes
Changes in government policies, such as GST rates, import duties, and local taxes, can impact cement pricing. Initiatives aimed at boosting infrastructure development may increase demand, thus affecting prices.
5. Brand Value and Quality
JSW Cement, known for its superior quality, often commands a premium price compared to lesser-known brands. Customers are willing to pay more for reliable products, especially in large-scale projects where quality is paramount.
Current Rates of JSW Cement
As of the latest market data, the rates for JSW Cement typically range based on the type and region. Here’s a general overview of the pricing:
Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC): ₹350 - ₹450 per bag
Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC): ₹300 - ₹400 per bag
GGBS Cement: ₹400 - ₹500 per bag
These rates can vary significantly depending on the location and specific market conditions. 3S Groups, being an authorized distributor, offers competitive pricing and ensures that customers receive the best value.
Conclusion
JSW Cement, coupled with the reliable distribution network of Shree Sivabalaaji Steels (3S Groups), plays a pivotal role in meeting the construction needs of India. The competitive rates of JSW Cement reflect the quality and sustainability focus of the brand, while 3S Groups ensures that these products are accessible to a broad customer base. Understanding the dynamics of cement pricing can help builders and consumers make informed decisions, ensuring that they choose the best materials for their projects.
In a rapidly developing country like India, the partnership between manufacturers like JSW Cement and distributors like 3S Groups will continue to be vital in shaping the construction landscape, promoting quality, and contributing to sustainable development.
