It was a day of creature care. Boy lotes got a deep clean and a new scape. Their Java fern cluster was getting too big for the tank, blocking the light and gathering algae, so it got a good rinse and went to Waldo

Not even showing yall how bad it was before. I’m tired, the filter was full of black algae/sludge.

Dosed the tank with some flourish so maaaaaybe the Java fern won’t all die off this time?

Spent an hour giving the boys’ tank a good deep clean and pruning the absolutely insane amount of Java fern that has grown in the top of that stump ornament. The fall pumpkin has arrived too.
