Pop Evil - Skeletons (Alternative metal)

Ne Obliviscaris - Exul (Symphonic metal)

Galneryus - Between Dread and Valor (Power metal)

BABYMETAL - The Other One (Kawaii metal)

A fellow album reviewer gave Floor Jansen - Paragon a 9.5/10, so that's worth checking out too.

And tomorrow The Ongoing Concept - Again (post-hardcore) releases, for which I have high expectations.

I remember being on the Anime section of Awesome Music on TV Tropes and seeing a description for this song that goes as follows, paraphrased: "The theme song from Mnemosyne gets you revved up for a show with all your gory, raping, immortal lesbian needs!" The first thing I thought was, "Wow, I hope I never bump into whoever wrote that in real life." And my second thought after listening to it is "Damn, the Japanese own us at power metal."
