The purple-crested turaco (Gallirex porphyreolophus) or, in South Africa, the purple-crested loerie is found in Burundi, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Africa, Eswatini, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. It is the National Bird of the Kingdom of Eswatini(formerly Swaziland)
