Name Glossary - Please Tell Me! Galko-chan

Almos all of the characters in Please Tell Me! Galko-chan have nicknames based on one of their primary characteristics, and combined with a common Japanese name ending such as ''Ko'' or ''mi'' for girls, and ''o'' or ''ta'' for boys. Let's take a closer look!

Galko: from ''gyaru'' or ''Gal'', which is Galko's style. Gal subcultures is mostly associated with Japanese girls in their teens to late twenties: they're very fashionable, aften tan and/or blonde, and use a lot of unique slang.
