Paltan, The Nun, Laila Majnu, Gali Guleiyan Movie First Day Box Office Collection: Except The Nun All Had Disaster First Day

Three Bollywood films and one Hollywood horror film released this Friday. Paltan was the biggest movie among all Hindi films and the movie is directed by JP Dutta who gave us blockbuster film like Border and Gulami. But this time he failed to bring the audience in theatre. The movie had a disaster opening and collected 1.6 crores nett on its First Day which is disaster if you look at the scale of the movie. The public and critics response is also not so positive, So chances of big growth over Saturday and Sunday are not that much. The movie need to grow 3-4 times if it has to put the numbers in the average range. Hollywood release The Nun had very good opening and it is far better than Paltan. The movie collected 7.5 crores nett on its first day which is the biggest opening if you look at the collection of Horror Hollywood films. The movie had strong hold in the metro cities and it has high chances to grow over the Saturday and Sunday. The movie will have a good weekend and it will be another successful Hollywood film thia year in the Indian market. Laila Majnu is another release this Friday. The movie is based on the same concept but had no hype even after the release of trailer that was reflected on its firat day when the shows of Laila Majnu were cancelled at many places. The movie had occupancy of 2-3% which is bizzare for any movie. The movie collected 35 Lakhs on its First day. Well, the director Imtiaz Ali helped his brother to pan the screenplay but this time he failed big time to engage the audience. The last release of this week Gali Guleiyan was released despite the fact that the movie should not have a theatrical release. The movie hardly added 5-6 lakhs in its kitty and the performance of the movie was worse than Laila Majnu. This Friday was not great for all Bollywood release. But the release of Hollywood horror film  The Nun gave an alternate to the audience to have good weekend.
