Setting Blurbette:
CorpEmp citizens root for the Galactic Empire from Star Wars. In CorpEmp's 1500 year history there have been several recreations of the series where the Empire are the good guys.
In Green Consensus hacks of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, you can only play either Gaia's Stepdaughters or Cult of Planet.
Despite being of Middle Eastern descent, the Guantanamo Pirates incorporated classical swashbuckler jargon into their lexicon.

Wedding Bells- Xenophilius Lovegood x OC
Xenophilius Lovegood x Madeline Potter
Description: Xenophilius and Madeline are getting married! The reception and after end up being more emotional that Madeline originally thought.
Word Count: 2k
Tumblr media
“Xenophilius, you may kiss your bride,” Arthur spoke with a kind smile. Xenophilius didn’t need to be told twice, he pulled Madeline close to him and kissed her with as much passion and love that he could manage without words. The bride wasted no time in kissing back, smiling against his lips when the guests before them cheered. They pulled away seconds later, resting their foreheads against each other’s with wide smiles on their face. Once the cheering died down, Molly stood up in the front row.
“Alright everyone, if you’ll head out to the garden at the Burrow that’s where the reception will be. The bride and groom will go first so they may be allowed to change into more comfortable clothes, bridesmaids and groomsmen will go next followed by the family. Everyone else must wait their turn or go ahead and apparate there whenever they’re ready,” she instructed. The guests nodded and stood in unison as Xenophilius and Madeline clasped hands and walked side by side down the aisle. Halfway to the exit, he let go of her hand to swoop her up and jog the rest of the way out while the guests cheered and laughed.
“You’re absolutely crazy, Mr. Lovegood,” Madeline teased as she was set down once they got to the chimney of the venue.
“Ah, crazy for you Mrs. Lovegood!” He yelled happily, grabbing a handful of Floo Powder set out for the attendants and helping her into the chimney.
“To the Burrow,” Madeline called between laughter as Xeno threw the powder at their feet. They landed in the Burrow’s chimney just seconds later and he helped her out.
“I’m surprised your dress stayed clean during that,” he commented as he dusted off his jacket. Madeline grinned at him.
“Molly put a charm on it because she knew we would be using the Floo Network,” she explained just before the bridesmaids (Luna, Cecelia, Gaia and Violetta) showed up in the chimney.
“Maddy!” Luna exclaimed as she stepped out. “Why aren’t you upstairs changing?” The woman giggled at her stepdaughter.
“We were just talking, I’ll be up in a moment. Go on now,” she responded, allowing Gaia to lead the girls upstairs. Xeno shook his head amusedly at his daughter.
“Well, we should probably get you upstairs before she freaks out,” he spoke, linking their arms together and walking her up the steps. They stopped outside Arthur and Molly’s room, where she had gotten ready for the wedding, and he faced her.
“I almost don’t want to leave your side,” Xenophilius spoke, making her giggle.
“It won’t be long,” she responded. “Go change into more comfortable clothes, I know you hate wearing such sophisticated suits.” He smiled at that, she knew him too well.
“Alright, I’ll see you when we make our entrance,” he spoke, giving her a quick kiss before walking to Bill’s room. Madeline shook her head amusedly then walked into Molly and Arthur’s room to change into her reception dress.
“About time,” Cecelia joked after her sister closed the door. Madeline rolled her eyes playfully and walked over to the bed where her dress laid. She could faintly hear people arriving in the Burrow living room and the Weasleys directing them to the back garden.
“Oh hush, it’s not a crime to want to talk to my husband,” she responded, absolutely loving finally getting to say the word. The others seemed to sense that because they smiled at each other as she took off her dress. Violetta helped her into her reception dressed then changed her shoes from heels to flats.
“Alright, you ready?” Cecelia asked excitedly. Madeline stood and looked at herself in the mirror. She was never one to sound vain, but she truly felt beautiful. The dress she wore now was a boho style dress, much more flowy and loose yet still formal.
“I’m ready,” she responded, nodding at herself in the mirror.
“Alright, we’ll go first,” Gaia spoke, already starting to walk out but stopping at the door. “See you out there,” she finished before walking out with Violetta in tow. Luna and Cecelia took turns hugging the bride then walking out. Madeline checked herself in the mirror one last time before heading out to the stairs.
Xenophilus was waiting in the living room, deep in conversation with Sirius while he waited. He was now wearing an outfit she recognized as the yellow ones he’d worn to Charlie and Adora’s wedding. He always said that wearing sun colours to a wedding was believed to be good luck, that’s why they made the wedding’s color scheme yellow and red (to represent their love).
Molly, who was the only other one in there, was the first to notice her since she was standing beside the stairs. She turned and gasped delightedly at the bride’s new look. At her gasp, the two men looked up and followed her gaze to Madeline, who had made it to the bottom of the stairs by this point.
“Oh you look absolutely lovely, dear,” she complimented earnestly, taking the girl’s hands. Madeline laughed softly and thanked the woman, squeezing her hands. When she faced the other two, Sirius was right beside her with a fond smile on his face.
“Lovely is an understatement Bunny,” he spoke softly, pulling her into a tight hug. She hugged back immediately and the other two couldn’t help the smiles on their faces. They both knew that Madeline was saddened about James not being able to see her get married, but Sirius may as well have been her brother. He’d even been the one to walk her down the aisle.
“Thank you Padfoot,” she whispered before they pulled away.
“Well Sirius, we should get going so we can announce the newlyweds,” Molly spoke as Xeno took his wife’s hand. The man nodded and led her outside.
“Ready to go?” Xeno asked gently. The woman nodded as she heard Molly announce the couple’s entrance. With one deep breath from each of them, Xenophilius led Madeline outside, the guests cheering for them when they appeared.
“The bride and groom will now have their first dance, then the groom will dance with his daughter and finally the bride will dance with her brothers as per requested by the bride,” Arthur spoke while. The others seemed confused by the end of Arthur’s statement, but Sirius only shot Madeline a cheesy grin.
Madeline and Xenophilius walked to the middle of the dancefloor set up in the middle of all the tables set up. They got into a waltzing position as the music started. They danced to a Muggle love song, and everyone couldn’t take their eyes off of them. They moved in sync, one fluent step after the other around the floor. Cheers erupted from the guests when Xenophilius ended the dance by dipping Madeline and placing a sweet kiss on her lips. Madeline giggled at the reaction they caused as he listed her to stand once more. She hugged her husband for just a moment before walking off, giving Luna a hug as they passed each other.
As they danced their father/daughter dance, Madeline had to try not to cry while she watched them. She held Harry’s hand when he found her, and he hugged her tightly as the duo ended their dance. Madeline placed a kiss to Harry’s cheek before walking over to where Sirius and Remus stood. The former held out his hand for her and led her to the dance floor. They danced to a slower Weird Sisters song.
“James would be proud of you, you know,” Sirius mentioned gently as he twirled her.
“Same goes for you. I don’t think he’d have anyone else walk me down the aisle if he couldn’t be here,” she responded simply. Sirius smiled bittersweetly and pressed a kiss to her forehead when the music faded. They hugged each other like their lives depended on it then Madeline turned to Remus.
“Moony! Get over here!” She called, gesturing him over. The man seemed surprised by her words, but he was quick to get up and dance with her.
Tumblr media
Madeline had danced with so many people that she was almost dizzy by the end of the night. She danced with Sirius, Remus, Harry, Arthur, Ron and many more, including Luna. Soon enough though, it was nearing midnight and people left the party. Madeline offered to help clean up once all the guests had left, but Molly brushed her off.
“Go enjoy being married, love,” she said before pulling out her wand to clean. The girl shook her head with a small smile then headed inside where Xeno and Luna were. When she got to the living room, Luna and Harry were stepping into the chimney with what looked like all their stuff. The two waved at the woman before disappearing in a silvery misty.
“I assume we’re meeting them at the house?” She spoke more as a question, then was surprised when she shook his head.
“No actually,” he answered as he took her hand. “I want to take you somewhere first.” She groaned dramatically in response.
“Xeno I’m tired,” she whined. “What place could possibly be important enough to go to at almost one a.m.?” She tugged on his arm as she spoke, but he only gave her a gentle smile and pulled out his wand.
“You’ll see,” he muttered before waving his wand. Seconds later she found herself somewhere outside. She looked around for a moment then became confused when she didn’t see anything nearby.
“Okay, I’ll bite. Where are we?” She questioned. Her husband tried to hold back a smile as he turned her 180°. Her confused stare stayed for only a moment before she read the sign, they were at Godric’s Hollow. She gasped and covered her mouth at the sight.
“Xeno,” she trailed off, not knowing what to say next.
“I figured you’d want to show off your dress to your brother before the night ends,” he explained, carefully taking her hand. “Is that okay?” She nodded vigorously then faced him.
“I think that’s a wonderful idea,” she whispered, sharing a small smile with him. He nodded and led her inside. They found the gravestone with ease and Madeline immediately sat on her knees facing it. Xeno sat beside her a minute later and stared at her expectantly. She breathed out an awkward laugh when she glanced at him then looked at the stone once more.
“Hey James,” she started after a minute, sounding unsure of herself. “Uh, well I got married today. I guess you know that though, you probably watched it from wherever you and Lily are.” She smiled bittersweetly then looked down.
“You missed walking me down the aisle, I know how important that was to you with mom and dad gone. Sirius did a good job though, he was my brother/sister's dance as well. I’m surprised he’s graceful considering how he was for the ball during our school days,” she paused and smiled when Xeno chuckled beside her, obviously remembering how ungraceful Sirius was when dancing with Gaia. “I know that even if you couldn’t be here physically, you were still there for it. I miss you and Lily so much, you know. I wish you guys could have been here, but I know we can’t really control that. I’m glad Moony and Padfoot were there with me,” she finally finished after a few minutes.
“And I’ll make you the same promise that I made to them,” Xeno added, scooting closer to the large stone. “I promise to take care of her. She truly makes me happy and I hope to do the same for her. Believe me when I say she’s in safe hands.” Madeline couldn’t help but smile at him after he said that. She hadn’t even known he’d made that promise, but she should’ve expected it because that’s the kind of person he was.
They continued to talk to James and Lily for hours before Xenophilius decided that it was time to go home after seeing Madeline’s eyes droop as she yawned. They bid their goodbyes to the grave and stood, him helping her up.
“Are you ready to go home?” He questioned gently. Home. Madeline couldn’t help but smile at the word, she was ready to go home with her husband. So, she nodded. Without the need for any other words, they apparated to the Lovegood residence. No, they apparated home.

Mountain Lion Mean (Rated M) [Gen Fic]
Summary: Marcus Kane’s body shows up again six months after his disappearance, in the master bedroom of the Kane ranch house, holding a new will in one of its skeletal hands. Arkadia hasn’t seen this much excitement since his stepdaughter was investigated for his murder—the inquiry was dropped, of course, because the body was never found. Now the house, the land, the accounts, the bank stocks, and a previously unknown stockpile of cash in the backyard all belong to Clarke Griffin and her husband.
Funny how no one knew Clarke was married.
And now it looks like the bank won’t foreclose on the Blake Family ranch after all.
you will be the light (Rated T) [Harper x Murphy]
Summary: On his way to Sanctum to start a new life (and flee from his past), Murphy comes across the nearly abandoned Arkadia, a town still clinging to the old ways of life and dealing with a nameless outlaw threatening their continued survival. Eden Lake is a town that had been cursed with a drought for over a century. A curse that began the day Lincoln, the onion man, was killed.
This is the story of how these curses came to be and intertwined to change the lives of their curse-bearers forever.
For It’s Your Misfortune (Ain’t None of My Own) (Rated T) [Memori]
Summary: Emori feels Wells stand up straighter, and Gaia sits up from her crouch on the steps.
“Head down, Doc,” Emori says.
There’s a step on the boardwalk, then another.
“Give us a prayer, Gaia,” Wells says.
Another explosion, and more shots in the distance, and the steady steps on the boardwalk.
“Judge between us and our enemies,” Gai’s voice floats down from the stairs. “Stir up thine own strength along us, give not this battle to the strong, but those who ask thy defense. Grant a full reward as it is due.”
“Amen to that,” Murphy mumbles.
“Amen,” Gaia says.
“Emori, darling,” a light voice drawls, “I’m back.”
forever in a moment (Rated T) [Bellamy x Harper]
Summary: A time machine mishap leaves Harper and Bellamy stranded in the 1800s.
From fake pasts to a fake marriage, they’re prepared to do everything they needed in order to make it in the past.
But how can they tell where the make believe ends and reality begins?

Note
So since this is evidently a series now, I'll ask you for your take on Deirdre Skye, and the Gaians.
Deidre is an interesting contrast, she is an exceptionally intelligent biologist and botanist who follows a philosophy of relatively pacifistic environmentalism and a religion with similarities to New Age esoteric paganism. The Gaian acolyte’s prayer: “I shall not confront Planet as an enemy, but shall accept its mysteries as gifts to be cherished. Nor shall I crudely seek to peel the layers away like the skin from an onion. Instead I shall gather them together as the tree gathers the breeze. The wind shall blow and I shall bend. The sky shall open and I shall drink my fill” appears to stress inter connectivity, symbiosis, and holistic understanding, all of which were key tenets of the 1970′s New Age movement.
This was likely key to the SMAC writing team, to avoid the negative hippie stereotypes and create Deidre as a fully-fleshed character, one who focuses on the cerebral and spiritual spheres. This puts her in stark contrast with Zakharov (who non-concur’ed on her appointment as Chief Xenobiologist), who considers religion superstitious poppycock to be swept away by the realism of new and further scientific discovery. Deidre’s initial quotes are scientific in nature, “The prevalence of anoxic environments rich in organic material, combined with the presence of nitrated compounds has led to an astonishing variety of underground organisms which live in the absence of oxygen and “breathe” nitrate. Likewise, the scarcity of carbon in the environment has forced plants to economize on its use. Thus, all our efforts to return carbon to the biosphere will encourage the native life to proliferate. Conversely, the huge quantities of nitrate in the soil will be heaven to human farmers,” is the sort of dry scientific language you’d expect from Zakharov, yet later Deidre states simply: “Observe the Razorbeak as it tends so carefully to the fungal blooms; just the right bit from the yellow, then a swatch from the pink. Follow the Glow Mites as they gather and organize the fallen spores. What higher order guides their work? Mark my words: someone or something is managing the ecology of this planet,“ suggesting a higher order level, a neural net of staggering proportions on the whole of the Planet, an idea that would be laughed out of any hard scientific conference today. Important to note, the religion of Gaia’s Stepdaughters was not developed only after Deidre learned of the planet’s sentience in the later technology tree with “Centauri Empathy” or “Centauri Psi.” The Weather Paradigm is one of the earliest Secret Projects and it includes the prayer, so it is likely that the religion was either carried with them from Earth and adapted to their new environment, or developed shortly after Planetfall and used as a social fabric to weave the scared survivors together.
While Deidre is pacifistic, she is not unwilling to use violence. Her in-game tract “Our Secret War” details her war with the Spartan Federation, and she uses Quantum Tanks and Mindworms both. It appears that her use of telepathy and the control over the Mindworms is what gave her the edge she needed. The former is discussed when building a “Headquarters,” and the latter is discovered horrifically in the “Dream Twister” Secret Project, where Assassin’s Redoubt’s final transmission is a nursery rhyme, likely used as a psychic defense against psi attacks. Telepathy is used in “The Empath Guild,” where Deidre mentions being able to “penetrate the vaults” of her enemies and gain the decisive advantage. This use of psychic attacks is represented well in game, boosting the Planet score gives a corresponding bonus to psi attack, and morale becomes important hence why Deidre embraces the religion and writes poems about “a blanket to shield the soul,” an empirical reality on a sentient planet with psychic aliens.
Of course, no faction is without their weaknesses, and Deidre indeed has her own. Like Lal, she is a massive hypocrite, waging a secret war against Sparta in complete violation of her democratic, pacifist tendencies. She is incredibly intolerant and attacks those who fail to live up to her own standards with psychic monsters to lay eggs in their brains, a horrific fate by any stretch of the imagination. Today, the calls for people to stop having children because of their environmental impact is deeply controversial, under Deidre such a practice would be commonplace, her preferred Green economics drop population growth significantly. On the other side, Deidre’s embrace of environmental concerns is poignant given that Earth’s fate was ecological collapse, wanting to avoid the same mistakes is a natural response, and hoping for science to solve the problem didn’t work for Earth, so why bring that failure of a philosophy to Planet?
Governmentally, Deidre is suggested to favor democracy in her biography, but she is capable of committing any choice. Democracy is the preferred choice for Deidre, it permits her to increase efficiency and offset the penalties to population her economic policy invokes, but the loss to military support is huge, a pacifistic democracy simply can’t justify a high military budget. Deidre under a Police State likely acts under state of emergency laws, pushing a higher military budget for foreign threats and more police to handle domestic unrest, while allowing her focus on recycling to handle the economic shuffle. A Fundamentalist Deidre likely makes the Gaian religion the central tenet, with public readings of poems and ritual similar to environmental-based animism in our own world. Economically, Deidre favors Green economics to minimize her ecological footprint, her economy is not as large as Morgan’s, but it wastes nothing thanks to recycling programs and a conscious desire to reuse everything. Deidre does not permit Free Market economics, as the environmental impact is too great, suggesting that at some level, resources are owned and distributed via a state apparatus, with social reinforcement used to promote an ecologically-friendly lifestyle. The Planned economics likely would be a policy focused on industrialization, again using the recycling programs and reusable materials to handle the inevitable waste and bloat, to build up in response to a pressing need. For values, a Deidre that values wealth almost certainly gives special privileges to her psychics that control the Mindworms, fostering a strong sense of national unity that services the society in psychic attack and defense. A Knowledge-focused Deidre almost certainly devotes laboratory space and effort to understanding the Planet and the mysteries of psychic science. A Wealth-focused Deidre puts the society into creature comfort mode, increasing energy gain and factory production. For a future society, Cybernetic is the most likely path for Deidre, as automation further eliminates the ecological footprint and permits further embrace of the Gaian religion and devotion to the well-being of the people and Planet both. Eudaimonia is likely a psychic phenomena, the perfect expression of the self, though at the cost of social disunity and further unwillingness to fight in pursuit of pacifistic ideals. Thought Control Deidre sees mankind as incapable of understanding their own impact and so must be controlled for the good of the Planet, likely through a combination of drugs and powerful trusted psychics that turn the Gaian’s into a dystopia in the style of Brave New World.
Thanks for the question, Calagon.

Fanfic Progress tag game!
I was tagged by @easilydistractedbyfanfic
I’ll be tagging @murphystartedthefire , @clarkegriffintitties , @mommabeargriffin  @llysandra , @veliseraptor and @daisytachi
The Rules:  Go to page 7 of your WIP, go to the 7th line, share 7 sentences and tag 7 more writer-bloggers to continue the challenge. Easy enough, which means I’ll probably not follow them.
I have a shit ton of WIPs, so I’ll be doing only 7. Here we go!
Finding home: Time changes everything. Being a family means you accept them. It means you change, too.
“Tough! Life’s not fair! It wasn’t fair when they floated my dad! It wasn’t fair when Charlotte killed Wells! And it wasn’t fair when you failed to show up after five years.” “We didn’t have a choice.” She smiles, sharp and dangerous, leaning forward so that her breath fans across his cheeks. “You wanna know what else’s not fair? I called you every day for over six years. I waited for you and you went and started fucking Echo.” Bellamy feels something twist in his chest. The guilt she makes him feel is old, he’s dealt with it and came to terms with, so why does it hurt so much? Why must he go through this shit again?
(Man cutting this scene right here is painful!)
And up in space, I dreamt: Canon Divergent AU and part of the Newcomers Verse: Glimpses at the life of the space squad before they get captured by Marskru.
But then he remembers who he’s talking to. For Bellamy his family’s quarters where the safest place on the Ark. “My mom was not the loving type after I… After my father was floated. If I wanted to save something of mine from ending up sold, I had to hide it.” “I’m sorry.” Murphy shrugs. “Not your fault.”
Pandora’s Box: Octavia’s POV of the opening of the bunker. I have only like one page of this thing and I am not sure if it’s finished or not, or if I ever published this.
In a world of ritual, of titles and spirits, Wanheda is a great threat and Octavia needs to make sure everyone understands she’s in charge. Wanheda is nothing. Just some relic of the past, less than nothing. She’ll to consult Gaia. And of course, Wanheda looks at Bellamy, because ever since he landed on Earth, Bellamy has been at Wanheda’s side. Even before she became Wanheda, Bellamy was already putting the blonde’s needs before Octavia’s, tagging behind her like a lost puppy. She squashes that flare of despicable sentiment: Bellamy came back for her. And now that he’s here, he’ll fall into place.
Roan and the City: After dying in the conclave, Roan thinks he’s earned his place in the Halls of his Ancestors. Instead, he wakes up in a brightly lit, pre-Praimfaya, skaikru city. Also, he appears to be immortal now. which... you know... sucks.
The ride on the warrior’s rover is as terrifying as the one to Becca’s island was, if not as eventful. He’s seated in the back, behind a flimsy-looking grid separating him from the guards – which is better than a bag over his head, so he’ll take the grate – on a dirty and cracked seat that’s most definitely not leather. The interior smells distinctly of alcohol and piss and something he can’t identify, but that has a distinctive acid tang to it and seems to try to hide all the other smells with its stench. Roan uses the time to look through the windows. He’s in the river of Rovers now, watching the river of people flowing around him. There aren’t that many people on the streets now. The women prancing around are scantily clad in impractical skirts and painful-looking shoes that can’t offer any sort of real protection or – you know – footing. The men wander around in undershirts with incomprehensible messages printed across their chests.
Monin hou: Canon Divergence AU: After Bellamy and Clarke negotiate with the grounders, they decide to share the bunker equally. 100 spots per clan. That marks the start of 5 years of forced peace in which mortal enemies have to learn how to live with each other. Shit goes as expected.
“Kane feels there might be a bit of resistance from skaikru if suddenly over half the bunker’s population starts shadowing skaikru. Which automatically brought up the very vocal Anti-Grounder Campaign.” Bellamy bites back a snort. “Was he trying to convince you to go back or scare you off definitively?” She smiles. Together they sit at a bench by the door. Clarke takes two nutrition packs out of her pocket and gives him one. He isn’t hungry, but takes it anyway.
Fighting Armand (working title) CrackFic: Monty accidentally makes a sentient algae plant. He carries everywhere with him. The plant isn’t happy that spacekru is eating his brothers. Also, it knows how to swordfight. Somehow.
The algae’s name is Armand. It was Monty’s pet plant and until ten minutes ago, it lived in a cutely painted pot the young sky farmer carried around everywhere. Echo parries an extremely skillful jab, twists to the left and slices up. Armand screams somehow – considering it doesn’t have a mouth. The branch holding the sword falls to the metal floor with a wet splat. Monty sobs. At least he has stopped begging her not to hurt it.
Raising Alexander: ModernAU: After losing Lincoln in a car accident, 18-year-old Octavia goes through with her unplanned pregnancy. When the baby comes, though, she panics and flees, leaving the unnamed baby behind. Bellamy takes care of the kid. 14 years later two things happen: One very angry Madi Griffin enters his bookshop for the first time. Octavia comes back.
The hotel is a big part of Arkadia’s economic ground and, like the small hospital and many other buildings in the city, they all belong to the Azgeda family. Forty-five years ago Nia Icewater married James Azgeda and proceeded to build an empire that soon made her the most despised and powerful woman in town. By now Hector, Nia’s eldest, has taken over the company, but rumor has it, the old woman controls everything from the shadows, using her son as a puppet. The party – more a gala than anything else – is an annual tribute done to the self-proclaimed ‘saver of Arkadia.’ Echo parks her car next to Roan’s shiny Lamborghini. She sits there for a moment, breathing slowly in and out, trying to get herself under control. Nia’s dislike for her stepdaughter is no secret.

The Dancer: Jennifer Reddington
This is Part II of my theory that Elise/Janet may be Jennifer Reddington, and that she is behind the attacks on Red.  If you haven’t read my earlier post, look on my tumblr. I propose that getting into Red’s account and making it look like he ordered the payment to Isabella Stone is the work of a hacker. Hiring Stone on the Dark Web seems like something a hacker might do too. No matter who Red really is – the real RR, Katarina, or an imposter, Jennifer would have motive to attack him.
First, consider the words that started and ended the first third of Season 4. In Esteban 4.01, Red makes this vow in front of the two-way mirror:  “Elizabeth, I will come for you.”  In Dr. Adrian Shaw Conclusion, Liz says those words back to Reddington after he trades his life to Kirk for hers.  Where did we hear these words before? Back in Season 2, and they were about Jennifer. While Red and Liz say the line to assure and comfort each other, the words in connection with Jennifer are about her fear and possibly, anger.  In Dr. Linus Creel 2.04, Naomi/Carla tells Red: “I don’t know where Jennifer is. She knew you would come for her one day, and she left. I think this foreshadows Jennifer is coming for Red, and it’s not in a good way.
While we don’t know for sure if Jennifer is Red’s blood daughter, stepdaughter, or child in a “cover family,” we do know he was supposedly coming home to Carla and her the Christmas he disappeared. From Liz in The Monarch Douglas Bank 2.02, we know: “I confirmed your daughter was placed in protective custody with her mother in 1990. The Marshal Service lost contact seven years ago. She is unaccounted for.”  I think this dangling thread is about to be woven into the Blacklist fabric.
I think Jennifer is why Season 4 Blacklist episodes so far have had mentions and plots about Witness Protection. The first reference to Witness Protection comes in Dr. Adrian Shaw when Red describes The Coroner as having a Witness Protection program for criminals. Then in The Harem, Red tasks Liz with getting the stolen Witness Protection list. While Red gives the story of Kaplan’s sister being the reason, I think the fact Carla and Jennifer’s names were on the list are a reason too.
We have also been inundated this season with references to dancing and dance classes. In some of the episodes these nods toward dancing seemed strange and out-of-place. But I think they are clues pointing to Elise/Jennifer as ballerina girl and the person after Red. First, she has the name Elise as her alias. The tiny dancer we think of as Red’s daughter in Season 1’s Mako Tanida appears in Red’s memory as he watches Swan Lake performed by the Elise LeBlanc School of Dance.  We also have a character named Odette, who was the main ballerina in the Swan Lake ballet. Kirk’s Odette, by the way, was exactly the opposite of vulnerable, gentle, and caring Swan Lake Odette.
Check out how many references there were to dancing and dance classes:
Esteban – Salsa dance music plays on the radio when Tom is trying to get out of his trunk prison. Red walks through a nightclub with disco lights and dance music.
Mato episode: Mato performs a Native American ritual dance of protection for Agnes. Red tells Mato a story about getting to witness the Sun Dance ritual.
Miles McGrath episode: In the bar where Miles McGrath is meeting with the Sabateur, there is an adjacent dance floor where people are dancing.
Gaia episode: The hunter says to Kaplan: “Okay, sweetheart. We’ve got to get you upright. You’ve been down too long. I’m going to put my hand behind your neck, just like a dance.” Odette first appears in this episode.
In The Thrushes, Elise appears to be in a ballet dance pose when she jumps off the couch and onto Aram.
In Dr. Adrian Shaw, Red asks Samar how she keeps in shape and suggests it might be Jazzercise. He says he wants to go to a class with her. “I’ll see you in dance class, Samar!”
Adrian Shaw conclusion:  Kirk and Red are reminiscing about Katarina when Red finishes Kirk’s sentence about Katarina, having scaled a fence and jumped over, just … dancing.
In the Lipet Seafood Co., Red interrupts President Diaz’s dance lesson when he’s practicing for the inaugural ball.
In The Forecaster, Mr. Mom Tom dances around Agnes singing along with The Romantics’ That’s What I Like About You.
In The Harem. the Emma character looks like Christine the ballet teacher setting up the Swan Lake dance performance in Mako Tanida. Emma wears two outfits that resemble dancewear and wears her hair in a ballerina’s bun for much of the episode. We also have exotic dancers at a strip club.  At one point, the pole dancers are gossiping, much like the ballerinas were in Mako Tanida, and a supervisors scolds them.
Who is slouching toward Red? That echo from his past, The Dancer: Jennifer Reddington

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri Word Crawl
National Novel Writing Month is upon us, so I thought I’d make an Alpha Centauri themed wordcrawl. Probably quite a difficult wordcrawl, but I haven’t actually tested it. Tasks are to be done in order.
Disaster: A reactor malfunction damages the Unity! Do a five minute word sprint trying to get your bearings and reach one of the landing pods.
Factions: Now comes the time to join a faction. Which one should it be?
Cult of Planet: Technically not around yet, but you've had a premonition about Cha Dawn. Guess a number between one and 10, then generate a random number in that range. Write for a number of minutes equal to the absolute value of difference.
Cybernetic Consciousness: Binary is best! Write for 10 minutes.
Data Angels: How many characters does the password you use most have? Write for 16 – that number minutes, and you can skip this task if your password has at least 16 characters.
Free Drones: There’s work to be done. Write to the nearest thousand words.
Gaia's Stepdaughters: A year on Chiron is about 389 Earth days long, so write that many words.
Human Hive: Do as your told and write 300 words.
Lord's Believers: In most Christian traditions, the New Testament consists of 27 books, so write 270 words.
Morgan Industries: Look up the wealth of the richest person in the world. Sum the digits of their net worth until you reach a number you can handle, then write for that many minutes.
Nautilus Pirates: How many taps do you have in your home? Write for that many minutes.
Peacekeeping Forces: Find a partner and both write for 5 minutes.
Spartan Federation: Word war for 5 minutes.
University of Planet: Open a random wikipedia article. How many letters does the title have? Sum the digits until you reach a reasonable number, then write for that many minutes.
Your Own: Don't like the sound of any of these? Well you can start your own faction with whatever agenda you like, but that's harder than joining an existing one: Write 1000 words.
Alien Skies: Go outside and get a look at the sky, then write 100 words.
Research Priority: How do we want to prioritise our research?
Build: Build a solid foundation of 500 words.
Conquer: Do a 5 minute word war. 100 words or more to win, repeat until you succeed.
Explore: Get up and walk around, then write 200 words.
Discover: What are the first three digits of your wordcount? Write that many words.
First Facility: What should our first facility be?
Network Node: Don’t go online until you have written 200 words.
Recreation Commons: What is your favourite type of recreational activity? Count that word’s letters and write for that many minutes.
Recycling Tanks: What is the last digit of your wordcount? Write for that many minutes. (10 minutes if it’s 0.)
Fungus: The fungus is difficult to travel through, but you'll get there eventually. Write to the nearest 500 words.
New Base: Time to expand. Write the next paragraph.
Secret Project: Which secret project should we concentrate on? Write at least one to progress.
Command Nexus: Know thy enemy, but do not forget to know thyself. How many words do you think you can write in 10 minutes? Then write that many words.
Human Genome Project: Humans typically have 46 chromosomes, so write 460 words.
Weather Paradigm: What's the temperature where you are? Write for as many minutes as the absolute value of the local temperature.
Virtual World: No browsing the internet until you have written 300 words.
Indigenous Life Forms: Your scouts encounter a writhing mass of worms. What should they do?
Study: Hang back and carefully study the mind worms and compose an encounter report. Write 300 words.
Attack: Speed is your ally. Write for 5 minutes. If you write more than 200 words the mind worm boil is vanquished. Otherwise, write another 200 words as another expedition tries to piece together what happened.
Befriend: Careful does it. Write for 10 minutes.
Social Engineering: Now it's time to decide on the political system of our new society.
Frontier: A frontier society has no time for complex political structures. Simply write 100 words.
Democratic: If you are in the Data Angels or Peacekeeping Forces, you must choose this. Write to the nearest 1000 words.
Police State: If you are in the Human Hive, you must choose this. Do as you are told and write 500 words.
Fundamentalist: If you are in the Lord's Believers, you must choose this. If you are in the Cybernetic Consciousness or the University of Planet, you may not choose this. Write for ten minutes.
Planet Dreams: The planetary consciousness seems to be contacting you while you are asleep. How many hours did you sleep last night? Write for that many minutes.
Alien Discovery: It’s clear you aren’t the first sentient beings to live on this planet.
Monolith: The monolith provides a boost to morale. Write for 5 minutes.
Alien Artefact: The alien artefact unlocks a new technology. Write the next paragraph.
Vendetta: Find someone to do a 5 minute word war with. If you write fewer words than them, write another 100 words as you lick your wounds.
Brood Trainer: Your most promising young talent has the potential to command mind worms. But that is a terribly dangerous endeavour. What do you do?
You forbid an attempted contact. She has a long and distinguished career in something totally different, but your faction never gains access to Planet’s indigenous life as weapons of war. Skip this task.
You order the attempted contact. Write for 10 minutes. Her fate depends on the number of words you write.
Less than 200: She dies horribly during the attempted bonding process.
200-500: The contact with the mind worms is successful, but she later falls in battle. Fuelled by desire for revenge, if you lose a vendetta, you have to write 100 words fewer to rebuild.
More than 500: The contact with the mind worm boil is successful and your faction has gained a powerful handler for Planet’s wildlife. During indigenous life forms tasks, you either have to write 250 words or 10 minutes fewer.
Social Engineering: Now it's time to pick our economic system.
Simple: Every complex economic system has its disadvantages. Simply write 100 words.
Free Market: If you are in Morgan Industries, you must choose this option. Look up how many billions the world’s wealthiest company is worth, then write that many words.
Green: If you are in Gaia's Stepdaughters or the Cult of Planet, you must choose this. If you are in the Free Drones, you may not choose this. A year on Chiron is 532 local days long, so write that many words.
Planned: Fulfil your quota and write to the nearest 1000 words.
Indigenous Lifeforms: A wave of mind worms is attacking! To battle them off write
250 words if you picked Green economics.
750 words if you picked Free Market economics.
500 words if you picked Simple or Planned.
Social Engineering: Now it's time to pick our fundamental values.
Survival: You're to busy trying to survive to write treatises. Simply write 100 words.
Knowledge: If you are in the University of Planet, you must choose this. If you are in the Lord's Believers, you may not choose this. How many years of schooling have you done? Write for that many minutes.
Power: If you are in the Spartan Federation or the Nautilus Pirates, you must choose this. If you are in the Data Angels you may not choose this. Choose one type of exercise like sit ups, push ups, or squats. How many can you do in five minutes? Write that many words times 50.
Wealth: If you are in the Cult of Planet, you may not choose this option. Time is money, so write for 10 minutes.
Vendetta: As humanity expands on Planet, the vendettas are getting more vicious. Find someone to word war with for 15 minutes. If you lose, you have to write another 250 words to rebuild.
Planetary Council: Everyone gets to be heard and compromises made. Ask three people for a number and sum their digits up until you have reasonable number. Write for that many minutes.
Secret Project: Complete at least one of these to contine.
Empath Guild: Ask someone to think of a number between one and twenty. Guess that number, and write for as many minutes as the absolute value of the difference between your guess and their choice.
Planetary Datalinks: Do not go online until you have written 450 words.
The Supercollider: God might not play dice, but you do. Throw three six-sided dice, add the results and write for that many minutes.
Air Power: Air Power rests at the apex of the first triad of victory, for it combines Mobility, Flexibility, and Initiative. Get 5 minutes of exercise, then write for another five.
Centauri Preserve: No need to write anything for this one, but if you're here, you've already put quite some effort into this. So make sure that your work is sufficiently backed up, if you haven't already!
Planet Dreams: Planet is growing steadily more aware and sophisticated. It is even composing poetry. Find a poem you like: How many stanzas does it have? Write for that many minutes.
Vendetta: The War to End All Wars! For Real This Time! Find someone to word war with for half an hour. If you lose, you have to write another 500 words to survive the devastation.
Indigenous Life Forms: Compared to what is happening with Planet, the threat from the other factions doesn’t seem so important. Write more words than you did during the last vendetta.
Social Engineering: Now it is time to choose the ultimate direction of our future society:
None: It might be the future now, or soon at any rate, but you don't have time for this. Skip this section.
Cybernetic: If you are in the Cybernetic Consciousness, you must choose this. Round numbers are good, write to the nearest 1024 words.
Eudaimonic: If you are in the Free Drones, you must choose this. An excellent life requires exertion, and does not consist in amusement. Write for 15 minutes.
Thought Control: Do as you are told and write 800 words.
Secret Project:
Bulk Matter Transmitter: Matter comes in, matter comes out. Write 750 words.
Clinical Immortality: How old are you in years? Write for that many minutes.
The Nano Factory: Nanomachines are small and convert existing matter. Look at your wordcount, what are the last three digits? Write that many words.
Indigenous Life Forms: Swarms of Locus of Chiron darken the skies, demon boils pour forth from the fungus and vast Islands of the Deep erupt from the waves. Write for an hour as you try to survive.
Voice of Planet: Thousands of years of civilization compressed into a single searing burst of revelation, but it will suffice to write 1000 words.
Ascent to Transcendence: Finish the chapter you are working on.

Author Reveal of the TROPED Choice: Western Fics
With a crazy year just at our backs, and a hard time still looming, the theme of a Western feels apt. Harrowing tales of struggle, success, and triumph over adversity seem to fit right in with the tales of struggle, success, and triumph we’ve faced this year, and boy, oh, boy did our authors rise to the occasion! Thanks to everyone who participated in this event, and we hope you’ll join us in our next one, coming (very...very) soon!
———
It’s The Chance Of A Lifetime (In A Lifetime Of Chance) (Rated T) [Emori x Gustus] by @sailawaymayday
Summary: Emori gets in trouble with the law, and is given the choice of jail or time working at a dude ranch. She’s never even touched a horse before, but anything beats jail, right? And what happens when ranch life might just be the best things that’s ever happened to her?
if the morning light sets in, we’ve cheated fate again (Rated T) [Bellarke] by @she-who-the-river-could-not-hold
Summary: The wild west is unforgiving. Bellamy Blake and his sister are on the run with a bounty on their heads, and that’s just the beginning. They stumble upon a town that’s on the verge of ruin, plagued by a mysterious illness and only populated by other teenagers. With help from both Blake siblings, the town’s leader is hopeful that they can help discover the root of what’s going. And maybe Clarke Griffin will in turn help Bellamy discover more about himself along the way.
What better way to raise hell (Rated NR) [Clarke x Josephine] by @excuseyouclarke
Summary: After a tragic end to their high life of scamming and robbery, Clarke makes a drastic move to keep Josephine alive. Now they’re moving to a ghost town, the only place that’s safe for them, and where Josie will fit in.
It was supposed to be a quiet life, somewhere to see their days out together. But Clarke’s not made for a quiet life, she buys the old Saloon and brings a dead town back to life. But her wild days soon come and catch up with her - and desperate times mean desperate measures.
Mountain Lion Mean (Rated M) [Gen Fic] by @kinetic-elaboration
Summary: Marcus Kane’s body shows up again six months after his disappearance, in the master bedroom of the Kane ranch house, holding a new will in one of its skeletal hands. Arkadia hasn’t seen this much excitement since his stepdaughter was investigated for his murder—the inquiry was dropped, of course, because the body was never found. Now the house, the land, the accounts, the bank stocks, and a previously unknown stockpile of cash in the backyard all belong to Clarke Griffin and her husband.
Funny how no one knew Clarke was married.
And now it looks like the bank won’t foreclose on the Blake Family ranch after all.
you will be the light (Rated T) [Harper x Murphy] by @reggieshamster
Summary: On his way to Sanctum to start a new life (and flee from his past), Murphy comes across the nearly abandoned Arkadia, a town still clinging to the old ways of life and dealing with a nameless outlaw threatening their continued survival. All he needs is some water and a new horse… so why does he end up helping them?
A highwayman comes riding— riding—riding— (Rated M) [Gabriel x Josephine] by @reggieshamster
Summary: While on a school trip to a museum set on the grounds of an old, historic ranch, Madi learns the true tragedy of Josie Lightbourne and her bandit lover Gabriel.
Kissin’ ‘Tav Blake (Rated T) [Linctavia] by @thelittlefanpire

Eden Lake is a town that had been cursed with a drought for over a century. A curse that began the day Lincoln, the onion man, was killed.
This is the story of how these curses came to be and intertwined to change the lives of their curse-bearers forever.
For It’s Your Misfortune (Ain’t None of My Own) (Rated T) [Memori] by @the-most-beautiful-broom
“Emori, darling,” a light voice drawls, “I’m back.”
forever in a moment (Rated T) [Bellamy x Harper] by @probably-voldemort
Summary: A time machine mishap leaves Harper and Bellamy stranded in the 1800s.
From fake pasts to a fake marriage, they’re prepared to do everything they needed in order to make it in the past.
But how can they tell where the make believe ends and reality begins?
Honorable Mention of this submission to TROPED’s Non-Anon Collection:
And You Know That Wyoming’ll Be Your New Home (Rated T) [Memori] by Anonymous
Summary: The man who calls himself Murphy rides west from Sangeda on a borrowed horse.
Maybe he’ll be back one day.
Probably he won’t be.
