Gahyun (Dreamcatcher) x Female Reader
(1 part - completed ✅)
Word Count: 780
Summary: You always thought the idea of teaching a girl about sports was cute, so you decide to take Gahyun on a date to a baseball game.
Warnings: no warnings, fluff
A/N: I wrote this a while ago and it managed to age quite poorly since we now know Gahyun actually likes watching baseball. But hopefully you guys can enjoy it even with the inaccuracies 😭
"Ah, this is gonna be so booooring,” the small, pink-haired girl whined as you both walked into the baseball stadium after handing your tickets to the workers at the admissions gate.
You grabbed her hand and intertwined your fingers before reassuring her, "I promise it'll be fun, Gahyunnie.”
She looked up at you, still uncertain, but you just sent a soft smile back.
"Plus, you lost the bet, so it was my turn to pick where we went for our date,” you nudged her shoulder playfully.
Her lips turned down and your heart melted at her adorable expression. "I know, I just don't like sports." She sighed. “But if you like them, then I'll give them a try,” she decided, her pout disappearing in an instant.
You felt your cheeks burn at her statement and subconsciously smiled. "Aw, how sweet,” you teased, using your free hand to poke at her cheek. "You're so cute.”
Gahyun immediately tried to swat your hand away. "I'm not cute,” she frowned, only succeeding at contradicting her own statement. You were ready to tease her some more until she released your hand just to cross her arms. "I won't watch this baseball game with you if you keep making fun of me."
You froze immediately, worried that you had actually upset her. "Okay, okay I'm sorry. I won't call you cute again,” you rushed out.
This seemed to make her happy, so you released a breath that you didn't even realize you were holding.
"Handong was right,” Gahyun said with a small chuckle as you started walking to find your seats.
You just looked over at her, not understanding what she was getting at.
She smirked and looked up at you
“You are whipped for me.”
-
"So... why are all of those guys just standing around... doing nothing?" Gahyun asked in between chewing the popcorn that she begged you to go buy her only five minutes after sitting down. Apparently the only thing she liked about baseball so far was the food, since, and you quote, 'this game might be worse than watching paint dry.’
You felt the urge to laugh at her question, but decided against it. "They're the outfielders. They’re there to catch the ball if the batter hits it further out. But, considering the other team doesn't seem great at batting, they've got nothing to do but stand there and wait for now,” you explained.
It was clear that Gahyun was making an effort to learn, but she didn't seem all that impressed yet.
"So all they have to do is catch a ball?" she asked, an incredulous look on her face. "Doesn't seem that hard to me. Aren't these guys supposed to be professionals?"
You couldn't contain your laughter any longer and noticed people around you giving disapproving looks. Obviously Gahyun didn't mean any harm, but people who didn't know her would assume she was being rude.
"You know, what do you say we get out of here?" You leaned up and glanced over at her, immediately smiling at the way her features brightened.
You had been there for a while and, although you found Gahyun’s innocently silly questions about the sport incredibly cute, you had to admit that you were also getting a little bored by the game. Baseball was one of those sports that could either be action-packed or super uneventful and this one unfortunately fell into the latter category.
So, instead, you decided to finish the day at the park.
And, you had to admit, after sitting on the bench and admiring the way the red leaves falling from the trees complimented Gahyun’s pink hair against the dull cityscape, it ended up being a million times better than some stupid baseball game.
Although, you knew it didn't matter where you went or what you did, as long as you were spending time with her, you would be happy.
"I love you,” you told her sincerely after she stopped dancing in the leaves and sat on the bench next to you.
The smile that lit up her face could easily leave the sun jobless. It sent butterflies fluttering in your stomach and made your heart pound a little harder than before.
"I love you, too,” she replied and you didn't hesitate before leaning in to kiss her plump lips. She grabbed onto your hand that held her cheek and quickly kissed back.
"Next time you can pick where we go,” you mumbled lightly after backing out of the kiss.
Her cheeks tinted to a shade that matched her hair as she giggled shyly, still flustered by the intimate moment.
Not long after, she regained her composure and smirked for the second time today.
"You really are whipped."

your gaze never left the beautiful face of your best friend even if he was looking down at your hand, on which he traced gentle circles. yeosang’s face was contorted into a look of utter concentration, looking so serious you couldn't help but smile.
you couldn't help but fall in love with her best friend even more.
he glanced up at you once, his eyes connecting with yours briefly before glancing back down. oh, those eyes. those brown eyes were as polished as amber in the first rays of dawn—warm with sparks of honey-coloured flames like wood in a fireplace. you loved the way they lit up every time he ranted about something he was passionate about, the way they practically shone with curiosity almost every time of day.
his eyes were the browns of the most prosperous rain-soaked earth, yet in the sunrise, before the light fills the sky, they are the black of every storybook night. but no matter what—no matter any metaphor you could come up with to describe his heavenly eyes—you knew you weren’t the girl he longed for. you weren’t kim gahyun, the girl that sat next to him in his computer science classes, so beautiful you wouldn’t be surprised if she grew up to be a model.
but unbeknownst to you, the boy separated from you by a table and heaps of books in the middle of the campus library had been trying to work up the courage to ask you out for months...
his slightly rough hands gently grazed against the creases and lines of your palms. you shoved your nose into a textbook to control your flushed face before he could notice. with every touch, a swarm of butterflies awoke in your stomach but you forced yourself to digest them, not caring about how many heartaches you’d have to deal with later.
"so, what? all of a sudden you can read palms?"
"yes," he said, still not looking up, too focused on the dips and creases of your palm.
you raised your eyebrows jokingly. "what's my future, then, mister oh-so-wise fortune teller?"
Yeosang looked up and in that moment a smile stretched across his face as his eyes lit up like a thousand fireflies.
"us." he stopped, watching with amusement as your face completely changed into a look of shock. though, when you made a noise halfway between a scoff and a laugh, he started doubting himself. "uh, only if you want, though... i mean, it's totally fine if you don't, i was, uh, I was joking any-"
you laughed and he swore even the finest of beethoven’s symphonies wouldn’t compare to your bubbly giggle. you turned your hand around to hold his, stopping him from fidgeting with his sleeve. "it's okay, yeo... but at least take me out on a date first."
Yeosang stammered, his head extending forward slightly as he blinked. he thought you were kidding, but when you gave him a smiling nod, he cleared his throat and straightened his slightly hunched posture out. he looked around at the students who had begun to exit the library before turning his head back to the most beautiful girl in the world, in his opinion (an opinion he would fist-fight anyone over if they disagreed).
"how about dinner at eight?"
you smiled, gathering some books and standing up with him. "i'd love that."
"cool, i'll– uh, i'll pick you up... if that's okay?"
you didn't answer, merely leaning up and giving him a peck on his cheek before turning and leaving the library without another word—leaving kang yeosang a blushing, smiling mess.

I Missed You
Tumblr media
Handong (Dreamcatcher) x Female Reader
(1 part - completed ✅)
Word Count: 2500
Summary: With you and Handong both being members of different girl groups, you find it hard to make time for each other. After lengthy international schedules, you’re finally able to reunite and, in a moment of vulnerability, you begin to truly understand the full extent of your feelings for each other.
Warnings: no warnings
Idol cameo: Rosé from Blackpink
"Are you sure it sounds good?" the younger blonde member asked, still unsure of the final product of her solo bside even after the endless reassuring compliments I’d given her in just the past few minutes. "I feel like it's missing something,” she stated and turned in her chair to mess with the sound board. "Maybe I should add-"
"Rosie,” I exclaimed with a laugh. "You're gonna be adding stuff all day if you keep overthinking."
Her hands slowly retreated from the massive panel of buttons and she looked up at me, pouting.
"I promise you it sounds perfect. There’s no need to worry.” I sent her an encouraging smile. “Now is the part of the process where you sit back and appreciate it."
She just nodded with a sigh of resignation and stood up.
"You're right, unnie."
Her feet lead her towards me and she outstretched her arms for a hug.
"Thank you for helping,” she mumbled into my shoulder.
I smiled when she backed away and looked into her eyes to see nothing but sincereity.
"Seriously, I couldn't have finished it without you."
Rolling my eyes, I playfully shoved my best friend. "Now you're just getting all sappy. I did nothing."
The Aussie giggled cutely and grabbed hold of my hands so she didn't stumble backwards.
"Whatever, you know I suck at producing on my own,” she stated a little too easily and I frowned at her degrading comment.
"I'm gonna let that slide because we both know it's not true, but next time I hear you talk about yourself like you're not the most ridiculously talented human being ever, I will beat you up."
My eyes squinted threateningly but she only laughed again.
"Right, like you would hurt a single living thing in your life... you big teddy bear,” she mocked, jabbing her fingers into my stomach.
I swatted her hand away which prompted another laugh from her and I grumbled, "I don't know who's worse... you or Dongie."
The mention of my girlfriend seemed to jog her memory because she suddenly exclaimed, "Oh! Are you going to see her tonight?"
She now had her phone in her hands, busy looking something up.
I took a step closer and replied, "Yeah, why?"
"If you see Yoohyeon, will you tell her to respond to my texts?" Her eyes moved from the nearly empty text thread on the screen of her phone back up to my face. A hint of a frown pulled down the corners of her lips at the mention of the Dreamcatcher member she had been making an effort to befriend.
"You know she's terrified of you, right?" I chucked a little.
“Why?” she exclaimed, seemingly both confused and upset all at once while I continued laughing at her dilemma. "I'm like the least intimidating person alive!"
My laughter grew in volume at that and I had to bite back a remark about how true that statement was.
"Because you're an attractive woman, that’s why,” I smirked, remembering how shy the tallest member of my girlfriend's group was around me when I first started hanging out with them.
Handong had warned me about how panicky Yoohyeon got over pretty girls and said that's likely why she hadn't texted Rosé back, too afraid she would say the wrong thing and make a bad impression.
Rosé just sighed in defeat, probably relating to the girl she wanted to get close to. Really, Yoohyeon reminded me a lot of my best friend. They had tons of similarities, so much so that they could very well be the same person in a different body. I mean, they were even born in the same year... that couldn't be a coincidence.
"I'll tell her you don't bite,” I reassured her, only slightly joking. Still, it seemed to make Rosé happy.
"Good,” she smiled. "Now go have fun with your girlfriend. I know you've been dying to see her."
My smile mirrored hers thinking about how much I've been missing Handong since we've both been overseas and I leaned down to hug my best friend once again.
"Tell her I said hi."
My heart warmed at how supportive she was of my relationship and how she went out of her way to even befriend Dongie. Although Rosé was Korean unlike Handong and I, she was still a foreigner having lived in Australia for most of her life and could relate to us in that sense. Plus Rosie was a friendly person by nature so the friendship between her and Handong grew quickly and smoothly.
"I will."
When the hug was over I gave her one last stern glance.
"You better not spend all night working on that song of yours, you hear me?" I pointed my finger at her to emphasize my words.
"Yeah, yeah." She slowly shook her head with a smile. "And you better not have too much fun with that girlfriend of yours,” she gave her best mom voice.
I saluted her, making her wave me off with a laugh.
"Bye. I'll be back later tonight,” I waved, walking to the door of the studio.
"Alright, byeee-” she dragged out, waving back.
"... as long as I don't get kidnapped,” I added just as I slipped through the door.
I could just faintly hear a 'that's not funny' from the younger girl before I was out of earshot. The reply made me chuckle to myself, thinking about how much she worried over me even when it wasn't necessary.
-
Once I left the company, I went back to my apartment to get dressed. The outfit I chose was nice but not too flashy with the addition of a ball cap, face mask, and sunglasses. Being a member of the most well known girl group in the world came with its perks, but also its downfalls: one of those being the inability to go out in public without getting recognized. Even with the 'disguise,’ it was likely that someone would still notice me. I wouldn't mind it so much if I wasn't afraid of how people would react to me having one on one dinners with Handong.
At this point the general public assumed we were just good friends that bonded over our shared home country and the struggles that came with leaving home and adapting to Korean culture. But I feared the longer we saw each other the more people would start to suspect something deeper between us.
The idea itself didn't bother me, but the inevitable hate that my so called 'fans' would throw at Handong and her members just over the potential rumors was really what worried me. It was something we talked about early on in our friendship, yet Handong always reassured me that she could handle it and that I was worth it. As much as I wanted to argue with her, her clear dedication to our relationship warmed my heart. Plus, maybe I was a little selfish and wanted to keep her in spite of the risks. Either way I'd stand up to my fans and stick up for her if it came down to that and I knew she would do the same for me.
That in mind, I started my drive to Dreamcatcher's dorm, feeling excited about seeing Handong after the month we had been apart. When I arrived, I quickly made my way inside and up to the right level.
After knocking, Minji was the first to greet me with a friendly smile. She asked how I was doing and offered to get me anything from the kitchen, but I politely refused after responding to her greeting.
A couple other members came to see what the commotion was about and Minji left me with them to go fetch Handong.
Yoohyeon had excitedly bounded towards me when she realized it was me (having previously removed my sunglasses and mask) and gave me a hug, telling me how much she missed me.
"I missed you, too," I replied honestly before asking, "Have you been well? How was the tour?" My question was also directed to the maknae who had appeared at Yoohyeon's side to greet me as well.
They both briefly said how much they enjoyed it but how tiring it was before pelting me with compliments about my group's comeback and our VMA performance, saying how cool it was that we got to perform at an American award show and asking about the celebrities we met.
I was overwhelmed by how kind the two were and did my best to answer their questions as I waited for Handong.
As the topic started to shift, I took my opportunity to fulfill my best friend's request.
"You know, Rosé met Taylor Swift while we were there. You should ask her about it some time, Yoohyeon.” I nudged her shoulder with my elbow, raising my eyebrows at her.
She seemed to get what I was hinting at and blushed. "Oh okay- yeah. M-maybe I will." The idea of my member clearly made her flustered and I smiled.
"You should. She's been dying to talk to you," I winked at her which only made the panic worsen.
Just then a familiar voice that made my heart flutter spoke from the distance, "Sorry I kept you waiting, we got finished with practice later than I anticipated."
My eyes finally met those kind, soft brown ones and I felt my cheeks heat up at her appearance. She somehow always looked so elegant and expensive and the black blazer she had on with the necklace I bought her for her birthday earlier this year only further proved that. Her hair was also different than the last time I saw her, now cut into a black shoulder-length two-tone bob with blonde underneath. It somehow made her look older and more mature and I felt my heart rate rise through the roof as I stared at her.
Realizing I probably looked ridiculous in that moment, I closed my mouth and replied, "No, no it's fine. I wasn't waiting that long." My mouth shut with a smile that grew when she looked at me skeptically and chuckled.
"Acting so formal because my members are around," she questioned, "or has it really been that long since we've talked in person?" Her expression was still amused but I could sense that she was also saddened by the last part as much as I was.
"No, I think my brain couldn't believe that the beautiful woman standing in front of me was somehow also my girlfriend,” I said in total honestly, not even trying to be flirtatious.
My words made Yoohyeon squeal beside me even though they weren't directed at her and Gahyun mumbled some exclamation about how she ‘can never seem to get away from it.’
Handong had a different yet predictable reaction, shoving my shoulder and scrunching her nose in mock disgust, yet I could see the pink seep into her cheeks. She liked to pretend that she hated when I said cheesy stuff like that, but I knew she loved it. It always got to her anyways.
"Okay, let's get out of here and away from these pabos." Handong leaned into me but said the last part loud enough to elicit annoyed responses from the two younger members.
I giggled at how their playful behavior resembled the way my members and I joked with one another before bidding them a final farewell. Linking my hand with Handong's, I let her pull me through the doorway and out of their dorm.
When we got into the hallway, she led me to the elevators and pressed the button.
As we waited, she turned to me and put her arms around my neck.
"I missed you,” she finally admitted now that we were alone and looked into my eyes sadly.
My heart sped up and I grabbed her waist to pull her closer.
"I missed you, too." I frowned at her voice and impatiently tilted my head so that my hat didn't hit her forehead before kissing her.
When our lips met, I sighed in relief: her kiss like the first drink of water after a month-long drought. Promotions were especially tiring this time around, but knowing that I would be going back to Handong at the end was the only thing that got me through it.
She started to pull back, but I kissed her again, showing her how much I had really missed her. Her hands grabbed the back of my neck gently and the exhale she let out against my cheek was slightly staggered. Something wet landed on my shirt and it was only then that I realized she was crying.
Alarmed, I pulled back suddenly and examined her face to see fresh tears sliding down her cheeks. By now the elevator had arrived, but I didn't pay it any mind, more concerned about the woman in front of me.
"What's wrong, DongDong?" I asked lightly, but the nickname seemed to make it worse when she whimpered and buried her head in my neck. I held her tighter around her waist and rubbed her back soothingly.
"I'm sorry,” she mumbled into my neck and my heart broke.
"You don't need to apologize, jagi," I whispered and turned to kiss the side of her head.
"I don't mean to cry,” she sniffled, clutching the back of my shirt. "I guess I just didn't realize how much I really missed you."
I felt my own tears starting to form and could only let out a small laugh in response, thinking about how ridiculous we probably looked hugging each other while sobbing in the middle of an empty hallway.
Still, I sucked the tears back in, trying my best to stay strong and comfort her instead.
"Being away from home is never easy either... if you can even really call this home,” I said softly.
She sniffled again and leaned back.
I instantly used my sleeves to wipe the fresh tear stains off her face and she just watched me with a pitiful smile. Once I rid all the stray tears from underneath her chin, she pulled me forward and gently slid my hat off to rest her forehead on mine.
"You are my home,” she told me simply, yet nothing about that statement was simple.
Nothing in the meaning or the way it made me feel. It was better than 'I love you,’ because it meant I was the one she felt safe and comfortable with. Even more than her family back in China. It meant that I was her forever. And that made me feel the most love I had ever felt in my life. From her and for her. Because I knew she was mine too. She was the only one I ever wanted to go back to. The one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.
So, I said the same back to her and I kissed her knowing that, though it was the first after a long time, it certainly would not be the last.

Small Things
Tumblr media
Siyeon, Yoohyeon, & Gahyun (Dreamcatcher) x Female Reader
(1 part - completed ✅)
Word Count: 1,400
Summary: a cute fluffy moment between you and three of your fellow group members during a day off between tour stops.
Warnings: no warnings, fluff
"You wanna come shopping with me and Dongie?" Yoohyeon asked from the hotel bathroom, her voice muffled slightly from the distance between us. I sat up from bed and rubbed my eyes in time to see the younger member step through the door, fitting a blue beanie to her head.
"What, so we can spend all day going on a scavenger hunt for that lotion she likes?" I laughed. "I think I'll pass."
My last words brought a frown to her face. "But unnie~" she whined, walking over to the bed where I was sitting, "I wanted you to help me pick out some new clothes."
I smiled at her pitiful behavior and stood up, pulling her into me by her hands. "You don't need my help for that." I let go and grabbed her waist. She put her arms around my shoulders, making her deepening pout near my own lips. "You have Dongie."
She let out the sort of whine you'd expect to hear from a puppy dog as she looked up at me with her cute, brown eyes. "But Dongie's not who I want to look good for," Yoohyeon admitted, making my heart flutter.
My hands gripped her jeans and I laughed lightly out of nervous habit. "You don't need to worry about that, pabo." I smiled and leaned in to bump my nose against hers. Our proximity and her beautiful features made me feel like I was suffocating, but in the best way possible. "You look perfect in anything." Though it seemed she wanted to argue, my words inevitably got to her, causing her to smile widely.
She giggled and tried to disguise how flustered my compliment had made her by saying, "whatever" and pressing her lips to mine. My chest burned when I felt her fingers brush across my throat before they settled at the nape of my neck. Her breathing was unsteady as she took my bottom lip between hers. Realizing how nervous I made her even after all the years we'd been together brought an indescribable feeling out of me. It always amazed me that I managed to get a girl like her. I couldn't even begin to understand how I made the others fall for me too.
A knock at the door cut our kiss short and now it was my turn to pout. Yoohyeon just smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Must be Dongie." She started to release me from her hold but I kept her in place with my fingers in the loop of her jeans.
"Wait," I whined, making her turn back around and look at me with a cute laugh.
"What?" She pretended to be annoyed but her bright smile defeated her.
"I didn't get to tell you how pretty you look." I let myself take in her features before looking at her outfit. She was wearing a basketball jersey with blue jeans and high tops. "My bad," I rushed before she could respond, brushing her hair under the beanie behind her ear and letting my thumb rest on her jawline. "How handsome you look,” I corrected, making her cheeks turn pink and her eyes crinkle from how wide her smile had grown.
"Thanks,” she mumbled before letting me kiss her one more time. This time I lingered, not wanting it to be over. The way she chose to dress so masculine today was getting to me and I suddenly didn't want her to leave at all. I needed her all to myself. It didn't help when she backed away to look at me and bit her lip, replying, "you don't look so bad yourself."
"Y'know, you could just skip shopping and stay here with me,” I said, my impatience getting the better of me.
Yoohyeon smirked. "As tempting as that sounds, Handong-" before she could even finish her sentence, a knock on the door sounded again followed by a muffled 'time to go, pabo!' "Yeah... that,” she said and we both laughed at the oddly perfect timing.
"Okay~" I dragged out followed by a sigh, making my disappointment known.
"You'll be fine." She shoved my shoulder playfully. "Go give those two antisocial losers some attention." I laughed at her insult and nodded my head.
"Fine." Finishing with a kiss on her cheek, I let her go before saying, "you guys have fun."
"Thanks. We won't,” she deadpanned and was out the door before I could respond.
-
After they left, I spent some time changing clothes before taking Yoohyeon's idea. It took a while after I knocked on the hotel room door across the hall for someone to come open it—likely because both of the room's occupants were in bed. When it finally did, though, the youngest member greeted me, her sleepy appearance—messy hair, puffy cheeks, droopy eyes and lips—made her a million times more adorable than usual.
"Sorry, I hope I didn't wake you," I said, resisting the urge to pinch her soft, squishy looking cheeks between my fingers. Though, she did one even better and wrapped herself in my arms.
"It's okay, we were just laying around." Gahyun’s voice came out quiet against my chest and melted my heart. She was always so soft when she woke up in the morning.
Eventually she let go and grabbed my hand to guide me inside. I let the door close and turned the corner to see Gahyun’s roommate in nearly the same lethargic state as her. When the main vocalist saw me, her tired features brightened.
"Hi,” Siyeon greeted, voice still raspy after just waking up. Her eyes blinked slowly and I was sure she could fall back asleep right in that moment if she felt so inclined. Seeing them like this—all innocent and oblivious to the world—was just one of many privileges I was thankful to have being a member of Dreamcatcher. How many people could say they got to experience a cuddly Siyeon early in the morning?
As if she knew what I was thinking, her arms extended and she made grabby hands towards me. I laughed at how childish she was and walked to the side of her bed. She didn't waste a moment, pulling me on top of her and making Gahyun whine for stealing me away.
"Yah!" I yelled in surprise, giggling before noticing how Siyeon was looking at me. The way she stared at me with so much love in her eyes always, without fail, caught me off guard. It was like her way of reminding me how important I was to her. She didn't allow me to admire it for long, taking in the fact that it was all for me, and instead locked her fingers around my neck to pull me down for a kiss.
Unlike I expected, her kisses weren't weak. She held me with one hand on my jawline and worked her lips against mine, taking my breath away. I had all my weight on a hand just beside her shoulder, so I used my other to brush my fingers across the smooth exposed skin of her collarbone. She sighed into my mouth and I almost completely forgot that Gahyun was in the room. Siyeon and the sensation of her thick, warm lips against mine fully invaded my mind. I was prepared to stay there all day long, letting her kiss me until our lips went numb—like we sometimes did on our off-days—but then the youngest whined again, bringing me back to reality.
"Hey," I looked over at Gahyun, finally seeing the pout on her face, "come over here." The whole time I had to ignore Siyeon's own pout, probably wanting the same thing I was thinking about moments ago.
Gahyun didn't hesitate, dashing to the empty side of the bed and jumping in. I slid off of Siyeon—who was no longer upset that she couldn't have me to herself upon seeing how happy I made the maknae—and settled between the two of them. Gahyun leaned over to lay on top of me but I grabbed her chin before she could nestle herself into my neck and gave her a kiss. Unlike Siyeon, she was satisfied with one small kiss, backing away with a smile. They both cuddled into my sides and I let out a content sigh.
With lives as busy and hectic as ours could be, I learned to appreciate little moments like these in between schedules where we just laid in silence, enjoying each other's presence. It was the small things that really meant the most.
