Solitary — Red Reznikov/Donatella Chernov (OC)

Summary: Donatella has an opportunity to reflect on her time in Litchfield after being thrown in the SHU.

Donatella put her hair up, stared at the wall and reflected. Wasn’t that what the SHU was for? Though, she didn’t have much to reflect on, if she were being honest. She wouldn’t have changed her actions if she had the same choice to make another hundred thousand times or more.

So, yes, she may be alone with a split and swollen lip that kept threatening to reopen every time she’d bite down on it when she caught herself thinking about how much she wanted out, to see Red, to know she was okay. But it was just her, four white walls and no sense of time. Had she even made it a week down here?

She’d spent a good portion of her first day, or what she assumed to be just the first, pounding her fists against the wall until they’d been bloodied, and screaming until she went hoarse. Vee was a threat that no one was taking seriously. No one except her and Red, anyway, and now Red was fighting her battle alone. She should have listened, made a calculated attack, now there was no telling what kind of mess she’d come back to. If she came back at all.

It was the not knowing that made it unbearable. She could tolerate the loneliness, the isolation. She’d always been a bit of a lone wolf, a good time but not a long time kind of girl. Her time here had changed her. Prison had a way of doing that. She was still fiercely independent, as her being locked away in solitary could attest to. Too proud and impulsive for her own good, but damn if this place hadn’t taught her how to genuinely care for someone other than herself. It had given her a purpose, given her something to fight for, given her Red. And she didn’t know when she could feel any of that again.

The wounds she'd incurred for going after Vee had caused her pain, immense pain even. Besides her lip, she had bruises littering her arms, legs and torso, even her ribcage felt bruised. Yet none of it —none of it— hurt like the thought of never seeing Red again, or of always wondering what fate had befallen her. If she let her mind run too wild with possibilities, she’d lose her sanity and her hope, all before a month had passed.

So Donatella sat in the center of the small room with her back against the wall, her knees to her chest and she waited. What other choice did she have? Time was the only thing she had right now and it may be ticking ahead, but she wasn’t about to lose herself to it.

“Action. Action” which makes me giggle

“Action!”

“Stella will you just listen to me?”

“What? What are you going to say?”

“Nothing” Tyler pulls me to him, we���re meant to kiss but he wiggles his eyebrows making me laugh

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry”

“Ok reset. And action” Tyler and I go back to our original positions and try again

“Stella will you just listen to me?”

“What? What are you going to say?”

“Nothing” again Tyler pulls me into him but I start laughing again, this time because he’s tickling me

“I’m sorry. Stop it Ty” I playfully hit his shoulder.

Tyler, Dylan and I are sat in ‘Stiles’’ truck ready to do a scene

“Is that a wasp?” I shout “there’s a freaking wasp in here!” I now yell. I squeal opening up the truck and practically running out.

“This isn’t awkward at all” Dylan says, which he’s meant to because it is Stiles talking, but this makes us all laugh during the take because it could also be applied to the fact that Ty and I are dating

“Damn it” I groan.

“You’ve been together for 5 minutes Stella get over yourself”

“Do you hear right now what your saying because I am messing up this line and I don’t know what I’m saying anymore”
