ok so I think shipping in Aikatsu and Pripara is weird for two reasons

For Pripara....

Lala/NonSugar/Gaarumageddon are literally babies. 15-16 or not, this makes the rest of the cast babies in my eyes rofl

For Aikatsu it is moreso that everyone is 13 and its weird to obsess over fictional kid relationships in the first point. I do havr acceptions, these being

Yurika x Kaede the show wants you to ship it come on

WM is basically married

LMT are basically married

You can't tell me Friends s2 wasn't just the I Believe (in love) (lesbian love) arc

Now all the straight ships have always sort of bother me. For Sena/Akari it feels weird. Naoto with anyone is wrong, and M4 was just really lacking and uninteresting

So I never shipped Akari with anyone but recently thought, Cosmos would be cute!

But I wondered is this crazy?

Ichigo is in her second year of Starlight's high school area in the final season of Akari era Aikatsu. Akari was in her second or final ear of the middle school program. But ages don't like up with this because Ichigo aged like two years less than she should have, if time flowed logically

they ARE all babies. it's true. for me it's like... if I'm already going to be invested in the show and the relationships between the characters is it actually any weirder to be invested in the idea of a romantic relationship between them? you can be normal about it even if they're 13

wm/love me tear/i believe are all older than the main cast too. I believe are 18. it's not wrong to be obsessed with fictional 18 year olds who are lesbians in love. I agree with you on the straight ships too. the one thing I thought was cute was the implication that mahiru's brother had a crush on koharu but it never went anywhere bc m4 got no development

I cannot answer your question about the flow of time in aikatsu bc I don't think I've ever sat down to think about it. I would not be surprised if they fudged the timeline at some point during the first season. they had to have multiple christmases and starlight queen cups after all

Regarding the few shots in the opening, that spoil stuff, I’m gonna talk about it here, so scroll past if you’re not looking for that.

1. Amari snaps- sorry… uhhh… clicks??? With Mirei and Sophie, and then Dressing Pafé in the upcoming episodes. That seems kinda obvious but it’s technically a spoiler since it hasn’t happened yet.

2. Mario has some kinda connection to Amari. Okay that’s also obvious, since anyone who has a brain understands that he’s the one who she imagined during her chunibyou phase. How he’s gonna come to life, idk. But it’s interesting and I wanted to talk about it.

3. Yui’s asleep. This is also something that’s explained in the episode, but I wanna know why dammit. Also Shougo seems determined to save her, which, in retrospect, is obvious. He’s her brother after all. But it’s nice, especially since they had such a bad relationship in Idol Time. (Though it was always shown that he was/is trying to protect her, and 90% of the time it was Yui who was misunderstanding his intentions. And he’s kinda a tsundere so he’s always been happy to let her misunderstand.)

4. Something’s up with Ever Gold. Team problems? Idk but it looks to originate from Shuuka. Which means it’s probably actually about Yui and her situation. Which, that’s fair. But even if not it seems like they’ll be getting some focus. So that’s good for everyone hoping for an Ever Gold song. (Aka me)

5. That crying vocal doll at the end. What was up with her? Is she the Falulu/Hibiki/Jewlie/Falala of this season? Looks like it to me. And it also seems like she’ll have some kinda connection with Gaarumageddon. But like. They don’t seem to be reacting to her crying, which is odd. Garuru seems to be able to sense when other vocal dolls are nerby (as shown in Idol Time) so maybe the crying doll is invisible or something? Maybe that’s why she’s crying?… na probably not. But it’s a thought.

6. The shots of the DanPri/YamiPri characters are really cool. Since they’re not in the episode they’re spoilers, but they’re not really spoiling anything either, so that’s all I really have to say about that. Though I personally don’t really like any of the boy characters, so even that is kinda a big step for me.

7. Not really a spoiler, but I didn’t realize Amari would become a main character. Actually, I still don’t think she’s gonna become a main character to the likes of Laala, Yui, Mirai, ect. But she seems much more important than I ever gave her credit for.

Also, just from the OP, I think this will be a full 50ish episode season. Okay, I could be wrong, but the amount of stuff in even the OP alone is plenty enough for me to believe that it won’t just be a 12 episode anime. Now, that might just be wishful thinking, but I really think they’re gonna do it. Tbh, it’s one of the things I was most worried about for this series, so it’s a big relief.
