headcanons of what I think the anipoke cast is up to in the future

Ash - Still traveling the world, on a journey to become a Pokemon Master, cuz ofc he is. He's changed his approach and focuses more on learning about Pokemon, but will still never say no to a good battle. Fights hard to stay World Champion. Occasionally still works for Cerise

Misty - She's still the leader of the Cerulean City Gym but she's slowly working up her way to becoming a Kanto Elite Four Member

Brock - Pokemon Doctor! Has been all over the place helping out at different Pokemon Centers over the years

Gary - He's a Pokemon Professor! Well known for all kinds of insane discoveries. He works under his Grandpa and eventually takes over the Lab. Still has a rivalry with Goh.

Tracey - He's Garys assistant now, make sthe lab very chaotic. Started taking art commissions on the side

May - Well known Top Coordinator who has won multiple Grand Festivals! But she still comepetes in contests and travels with the hoen coordinator gang

Max - Gymleader, he's taken over the Petalburg City gym! Dunno what his type though is, he can mix em if he wants to

Dawn - Also a well known Top Coordinator with multiple wins, and she still occasionally competes in contests. I like the idea of her getting into fashion and designing.

Paul - Either a Gym Leader or an Elite Four member, maybe even Sinnoh Champion, but definitely still battles

Iris - Contiunes to be Unovas champion, trying to snatch Ashs world champ title and learning about dragon types on the way

Cilan - S class connoisseur! Still likes traveling but also stays in Striaton a lot to help out in the café, though he doesn't act as gym leader anymore

Serena - Reining Kalos Queen and Pokevision influencer! Also her and Lisia are a pop star duo

Clemont - Not a gym leader anymore either, he's focused more on his inventions and becomes pretty well known for it

Bonnie - New Lumiose Gym Leader! I like to think she tried out both gym battles and showcases when she was old enough to go on her own journey, but ended up being drawn towards batrling a lot more. I also like the idea of her beconing Kalos champion eventually

Mallow - Pretty much took over Ainas Kitchen and started branding out their name to other Alola Islands

Lana - I kinda like the idea of her getting interested in acting after the gig she and the other sm girls had, still fishes with her dad for fun

Kiawe - Akala Islands newest Kahuna! Contributes to keeping the Alola league tournament alive as well. He doesn't have much time to help with the farm anymore but still delivers milk every morning

Sophocles - Works at Pokemon NASA, far off from going to space but he'll get there

Lillie - I am very attached to Lillie being a teacher at the Pokemon school, but I also like the idea of her writing books. Either way she does something booksmart tm

Gladion - Works at the AF, got sucked into the family buisness and researching UBs after Lillie the Nihilego

Goh - Cerises assistant still working for his own Professor title and more than mildly upset at the fact Gary managed to get there before him, he specialices researching species that were discovered more recently and has an always increasing of his own Pokemon to look after

Koharu - Since she doesn't have a canon long term goal, her story line was moreso about figuring out what she wants to do, that kind of makes her a catch all character. I can see her do anything really she works with whatever. Ik she helps out her dad as a research fellow at the end of the series and I also like her getting more into contests but I don't really think she does either of those forever? I like the idea of her doing photography, it's artistic in the opposite direction of what her mom does

HELLOOOO an welcome to 99.9FM Battleradio Hoenn! My name is Melanie Shuckle and i’m in the Studio today! I’m also all alone here, because the others have left me all alone. But that’s nothing that’ll hold me back! So, i’m looking at a battlecam today, sent in by none other than Kalosian Gymleader Clemont himself! Wow, that is really cool!

Before we get into the battle itself, some background info, because that is a little bit important here! This battle is between Gym Leader Clemont, obviously, and the Challenger is a Trainer called Naos! I don’t have much info on them, to be honest, but i don’t have access to Kalosian League documents, haha. In any case, Naos is challenging Clemont as their SECOND gym, but have requested to take on a stronger team! So the team used is more in line with a 6th or 7th badge in Kalos! In particular, Clemont will be using a Luxray, a Magnezone, an Emolga and of course one of the Gym’s signature Pokémon, Heliolisk! That is not all of course, and definitely not why this battle was sent in! No, Naos is a very special trainer, not only because they request such a strong team, but because of their own Pokémon! You see, Naos’ team consists of only 3 Pokémon. One is a Seel, the second is a Girafarig, and the third… I can’t build up the tension anymore, Naos third Pokémon is a Xurkitree! Yes, you heard me right, Naos is training a Xurkitree! One of the Pokémon first classified as “Ultrabeast” by the Aether Foundation of Alola! I certainly don’t know how Naos came to train this Pokémon, but i can tell you it is certainly a rare sight! Not many trainers have the opportunity to work with these Pokémon, they are heavily monitored and are often considered dangerous, so I’m sure Naos is not your ordinary trainer! And to make this even more exciting, let me tell you that Xurkitree are banned from usual competitive Tournaments! Yes, the species was placed in the Ubers tier!

Okay, okay i have taken enough of your time already! Let’s see how that battle went!

Okay, we start off with a pretty tame lead on both sides! Girafarig on Naos side is facing Emolga on Clemonts side of the field! Now, the battle does not start with a bang! Instead, Emolga goes for a Volt Switch and Clemont immediately takes back his active Pokémon! In comes Luxray! Oh, yes Naos, that will be dangerous! A Crunch could be very bad for Girafarig. OH my, Girafarig takes a moment to set up! That is an Agility-move here! And Girafarig uses it’s gained mobility to jump around Luxray and get a good look at her opponent! That is definitely a Nasty Plot, Clemont, i hope- No, no he does NOT ATTACK! I think that was a big mistake, not going for a Crunch here? Instead he sets up an electric field!

Clemont, that was a bad decision! I could have smelled that from a mile away! Naos recalls Giraf- no, i’m sorry Girafarig uses Baton Pass! And here comes the Xurkitree, and this Xurkitree has the speed and power of Girafarig! Ah, yes here comes the Crunch from Luxray, but it looks like Xurkitree is only tickled by that. That looks really bad for Clemont, even though he’s not lost a single Pokémon yet!

WHAT IS THIS??? Naos doesn’t even see the need to attack! Xurkitree is starting to boost itself even further with a Tail Glow! And Clemont is making all the wrong decisions here, i can only assume he’s distracted by this MARVELOUS Electric Type in front of him because he recalls Luxray to send in Emolga! There is no way Emolga will be able to do anything here. Well, i doubt any of Clemonts Pokémon can do anything anymore. That Xurkitree is fast like nothing else, it has been setting up its special Attack and on top of that it’s just a really really strong Pokémon already!

Yes. Yep, that is a thunderbolt. I- I’m going to be honest, i’m not sure what EXACTLY happened just now, because the screen was simply white for a moment, but Emolga is nowhere to be seen. That Thunderbolt has some power behind it, i hope Emolga is fine!

Well, Clemont decided his next Pokémon should be Magnezone! A good decision as it turns out because it can take another Thunderbolt thanks to its Sturdy-Abiltiy! But the following Flash Cannon is not enough, no it is not! Xurkitree is still standing there, MENACINGLY! There comes Luxray again- and just a flash later, it is gone again! I don’t know what to say, this Battlecam i have here is not epilepsy-friendly. Anyways, Clemont has no choice but to send in his last Pokémon, Heliolisk! And- Yes, yes that was the fight! Heliolisk can’t take a Thunderbolt from this Xurkitree either! Naos wins, and by a landslide!

Naos, that was an impressive battle! I know Xurkitree is just a really strong Pokémon, but we saw some good strategy as well! Considering that was their second gym badge, i’m sure Naos will make it far in the Kalos league!

OMG I JUST THOUGHT OF THIS. WHAT IF ALL THE ELECTRIC TYPE GYMLEADERS + SOPHOCLES WERE JUST ONE BIG ELECTRIC FAMILY. Lt Surge and Wattson would be the uncles, Elesa and Volkner would be the cool older siblings, and Clemont and Sophocles would be the geeky younger siblings!

Holy shit, yes my dude!! I can imagine a family renunion between them all, it would be awesome!
