There was something intriguing about Professor Shen. That much Zhao Yunlan knew as their handshake lasted a little longer than necessary.

“Chief Zhao, I hope that you can solve this case so that the university will be rest assured.” Professor Shen had said, letting go of Zhao Yunlan’s hand after said SID chief had thrown him a look.

Beta. That was what Professor Shen’s general disposition screamed. But Zhao Yunlan’s brain continued to tick, the underlying glint on those dark eyes of the professor intriguing him. Hell, those perfectly pressed suit made Zhao Yunlan's sharp fangs itch and his fingers twitch with the desperate want to unwrap him from all layers.

i might think it silly how touhou fans have historically paired up two characters in the games just from being in adjacent stages, but i can’t make fun of em because i do think stuff like hina/nitori and parsee/yuugi can be cute. And I actually really especially like doresagu 😄 though those two have a sliiiiightly more substantial connection than most...

Sagume coming up with this convoluted plan to protect the captial and it involves working with the dream world, which requires working with Doremy. And there’s so many potential funny ways to go about how they came into that arragement or any agreements. something like high ranking lunarian Sagume discussing/negotiating/strong-arming Doremy regarding the very serious stakes but Doremy wasn’t nearly as invested as Sagume wishes but eventually caves because refusing was too troublesome and maybe also because Sagume has a nice face. 😏🫢 (< doresagu. also why are only one of these emoji outlined??)

I’m of the opinion that there were plenty of times before the whole moon invasion incident completely went underway that Sagume would arrive in the dream world passageway to visit Doremy, to discuss things about their plans. but then slowly over time that became more of an excuse because you know, being a busy high ranking lunarian, Sagume probably didn’t have many, or maybe even any at all opportunities or people she could openly express herself or confide in. (There’s also a common idea in a bunch of fanworks i’ve seen that Sagume’s speech-related ability doesnt work in the dream world, which gives her further encouragement to speak freely to Doremy), and Doremy in turn is happy with the visits, moreso when they aren’t actually about boring things like logistics and instead a chance to get to know this strange individual from the moon.

very important part of this dynamic to me is Doremy is so often unflappable and three-mouth which bugs most people she talks to, and Sagume is no exception but Sagume starts to begrugingly find those traits charming, and maybe they both start slowly acting a little warmer to one another 🌞

If Sagume continues to visit the passageway even after the incident, there’s really no point justifying it as being part of her job, huh! But i think its fine for her to be able to just go and visit Doremy in a literal dream world, free of any worries and obligations from outside and where its just the two of them...

well except for when Sumireko just happens to show up like some visiting niece or neighbour. is that not a classic romcom staple of rounding out the couple with a kid whose always barging into the house or am I just making that up?! Well i think it all fits in the imaginary puzzle in my head

You know what? I finally realized that the fact that most Guardians (I love you Shaw) in Destiny wear very thick armor but no head protection actually makes some amount of sense.

So if they get hit in the way that is not lethal, they will have to fight like that until the end of the encounter (fast regen seems to be a gameplay thing, unless you are a Warlock and you are concentrated enough). But if they get hit in the head and die, they get resurrected with full health.

Kinda stupid but you know.

I suppose this is long due. I look at my bully, billy the bully sounds like a cliche of a name but, hey, some cliches do work for some people. He is not hiding his smug grin as he telltale my powers to the principal, who now, has time to listen.

I wonder if is because Billy the bully has rich parents or maybe because I'm a secret orphan. Well, I guess the whole premise of a secret orphan is that no one knows you are one, but still, wouldn't pass them to make judgment...my family's absence is a good whisper for my liking.

"You have to understand...your power seems too dangerous, we're thinking of your safety and the others" the principal shows the inhibitors- the irony if I can call it as such, is how the inhibitors are designed thinking of children's likes Marvel, DC or Disney, but at the end of the day is still...handcuffs- and I know I'm not talking much.

Nor express my emotions. I know this...as I know Billy the bully is waiting to see me cry or go nuts and murder the principal-which if I was like that...wouldn't that be a poor plan on his part. I mean, if he is that dedicated to ruining my life at the expense of his...well, bravo!- but I'm processing my options.

My power is linked to my guardian.

My guardian is not human.

My guardian is an eldritch horror who took me in.

I love him, not in a romantic sense-as love can be in many shapes - and as much our family dynamic is not ideal, after all, he is an eldritch horror...he took me in and always look after for me.

"Actually, I have to confess" I spoke noticing how my throat is dry. All eyes are on me. ALL EYES. "The so-called power, Billy said I have...I don't" and my bully scoffed and mentions all the incidents he set up and how I escaped.

My guardian protected me...

My guardian is not human...

"Ah, so you're admitting you bully me?" my eyes land on the principal, I think I was accusatory enough, the man looks guilty enough.

"Lying about your power is not the way to go...we want to help you" his forehead is sweating and I know for sure this is a cold day. I unroll my sleeve and show my arm to him.

"Test me," I said boldly. "Use your mediator of power...see if I have power as destructive as Billy said, or should I call the police for illegal apprehension"

The man is sweating more and he does just that, of course, the mediator proves how my power is almost 2 on a scale of 10, which is not hard to modulate it is my guardian's gift to me. The man puts the handcuffs down and murmurs apologies. His eyes land on Billy the bully.

He is sneering. Trying to attack me in front of the principal...who had no choice by handcuffing him and I'm free.

I send a big smile to Billy and leave.

I walk through the halls and see people whispering again. I'm walking home alone again.

I arrive at my house in less than 1 minute-when no one was looking at me- and enter in my house. I can see my guardian making food for humans.

Not human as food.

Food for humans.

"Welcome home...Should I give them insanity?"

I shake my head. "Not now, anyway...how is space and time for you?"

"Time is an illusion"

The world has taken precautions against super-powered beings, handing out inhibitors if deemed too ‘destructive.’ You sat in the principal’s office with horror etched on your face as a pair of inhibitor gloves were handed to you. The smug grin of your life long bully telling you everything.
