GOT7 Jinyoung, Solo Album Release for his 10th Year Anniversary + Fanmeeting in Korea January 2023

Jinyoung, who has been running without any breaks as an actor and singer, announces the release of a solo album in January 2023......As expected, in this album, Jinyoung had directly taken part in writing and composing enhancing the completeness of his work. It is said that despite being busy with filming "The Witch", Jinyoung dedicated time to composing songs and preparing for his fanmeeting. After the fanmeeting in Korea, he plans to have overseas fanmeetings to meet fans in person. (translation)

the collaboration wasn't announced beforehand and the other idols present at MAMA seemed to have missed jieun and taemin rehearsing. the moment a shadow started rising to the stage, everyone was confused as to who it was and the moment maya's face was shown on the big screen, fans lost their shit and the eyes of the idols watching bulged out of their eyes.

ever since then, fans have expressed their wishes for the two of them to do a joint project together.

during the 2016 gayo daejun, there was the famous got7 x twice x gfriend x seventeen stage. For the part where they sing and dance to 'Who's Your Mama?', maya and vernon were partnered with each other.

the fancam went viral and currently has 10 million views. the chemistry between the two idols attracted fans and they couldn't get enough of this duo.

at twice's halloween fanmeeting in 2019, mina was wearing a short dress. maya took notice of a fan taking pictures under her member's dress, while mina was oblivious to it.

maya quickly took off her jacket and covered mina's thighs, while also putting herself between the camera and the main dancer.

a fan had taken a video of the precious moment and shared it online, after which maya received a lot of praise for not hesitating to help her fellow member.

hi friend!! absolutely cuz it's still such a wild moment, all these years later 😆

back in 2017, GOT7 had a fanmeet tour, Flight Log: Turbulence and Miami was the first stop in the US. my friends and i worked really hard to make it the best stop since Miami never gets anyone, honestly.

anyway! when everyone walked in to go to their seats, we all got a raffle ticket since this was a fanmeet, not a concert, and the boys play some games throughout the fanmeet. i really didn't think anything of my ticket and just put it in my pocket and went to my seat (lol).

they had a guess the song game, which was the fan game, so the MC had all of the boys pick a ticket and read the number out. They would only read the ticket number 3 times before moving on to a different person. Bambam chose my ticket and the first time he read the number, no one did anything and i didn't have my ticket out. So he read it a second time and i took my ticket out, purely out of suspicion cuz there was no way it was me, and he read my number one last time before i registered that it was, in fact, me and i screamed bloody murder so they knew they had the right person 😆 the MC jumped and was like "oh, we found her!" since i was sitting a bit in the back.

cue everyone in my row cheering and pushing me forward to get to the stage. Bambam was on the other end of the stage so Jackson helped me up from his end and he's really sweet (also short lmao). but i was stunned when i got to Bambam and he's pretty tall since i only reach his shoulders (his jacket was gorgeous and i focused on that a lot to keep from dying lmaoooo).

once all the fans were on stage, each member did a short little introduction of their fan. when they got to Bambam and I, he did his thing by asking what's my name, how old am i, where am i from. what i didn't register at all cuz i was in shock was that at the end he asked "so do you have a boyfriend?" and i shook my head no cuz i didn't and he said "well now you do" and both the crowd and i lost it. my soul ascended straight to the pearly gates cuz he was smooth as hell for that one 😂

we didn't do great at the game since i was still very new to GOT7 and kpop in general but we had so much fun! he was super nice to me and was really reassuring cuz i was nervous and he hugged me a bunch of times and thanked me for being sweet. he was absolutely ethereal and so funny and just genuinely a silly sweetheart. he made himself my bias for life 😆💚

someone actually managed to get a video of the whole fan game, if you wanna see this moment! i straight up blacked out the minute i screamed in my seat and all of my friends afterwards were like "DUDE ARE YOU ALIVE??!?!?!" and i was like "No, my soul ascended lmao who am i?". it was fantastic and still brings me so much joy. i love GOT7.

of course!

exo’s kyungsoo : she’s been such a huge fan since forever and he’s a big reason why she wanted to become an idol in the first place. he’s one of her inspirations, not only vocally, but just in general. he’s also baby girl’s first idol crush 🤭

got7’s jinyoung : miss evie is an ahgase at heart and has been a fan since debut. got7 was also her first concert experience. dk noticed her shyness and encouraged her to talk to him during the golden disk awards in 2020, very similar to how this went down. if she had to make a list of her favorite vocalists, he’s definitely on it. when jinyoung greeted her during his fanmeet, she about melted into her chair she was so starstruck

seventeen’s seungcheol : what’s this list without mentioning cheol. if there’s one person that’s been rooting for her since the start, he’s the one. she is definitely his number one fan. as her leader, she looks up to him tremendously and couldn’t picture her life without him being apart of it

hmm I might as well go in order:

Jinyoung was my potential Got7 bias for a short while because I didn't really know the members / who would be my bias

Sungyoon was already sparking my interest in Golden Child because my friend shared content about him a lot

Keeho was one of the first members I knew in Piwon (shocking, I know..), but I was already interested because of his vocal tone at the time

There are a few different reasons for each one of my biases, but at the same time they have some commonalities...

All main vocals, all sentimental and loving in their own ways, and I know we don't know our idols obviously but they do feel very genuine (all my opinion ofc)

So... I don't actually have bias wreckers, but I tend to have a secondary bias lmao

I can only answer for Golden Child because Sungyoon is in the military lmao TT

Donghyun getting to step up and have some more vocal lines, even got a musical relatively recently. Not just a main dancer, he's a really good vocalist and it's really nice to see him be able to take on more.

Youngtaek (Tag) is one of the rappers/is a producer of Golden Child, his lyricism and sentimentality blows me away. He's only actually produced like 2 songs that made it into the albums though :/

Bomin... the absolutely lovable maknae... He's a really amazing actor and also really cute (if you don't like the maknaes then what is wrong with you tbh, i say jokingly)

Everyone is acting like CBX just up and left just because it came suddenly for us does not mean it came suddenly for anyone in EXO. Like apparently they asked several times since March about their revenue data and all SM had to do was hand it over to them. I don't think they wanted to leave they just had to draw the ultimatum at some point because otherwise SM would continue to do this to not just them but their juniors as well. The fact that Baekhyun has been hyping the comeback and showing up for all of his schedules until now and Jongdae released a station song just 2 days ago it all shows to me that they were the ones who were willing to talk and negotiate and SM are now the ones who are trying to convince us that this is unreasonable behaviour which.... no its not if that was my money I would have stopped coming to work in March when they first refused to talk to me. CBX are saints actually to have shown up to the anniversary and practice and all the other stuff when this has been going on the entire time. And I am convinced that the other EXOs know too and that everyone was hoping that SM would wake up and give in before the ultimatum. The fact that they are the ones who failed to act well... yeah CBX have every right to walk out and I hope Suho and co will be out the doors next

oh, i absolutely think that the other members have been aware of this happening for months now. sehun’s message might have been out of the blue but i honestly think he was just taking the piss, and being a bit messy, the way he tends to be. i know that they’ve been negotiating since march, which makes it even crazier considering they did the fanmeets and everything, and jongdae literally released an sm-station like two days ago. it is a mixture of goodwill on their sides, being bound to their contracts (and, in that case, fulfilling their contract as well because sm could counter-sue them for breach of contract if they weren’t, so in a way i feel like the smarter move here was to just SHOW UP and WORK, since i’m sure they’ve been planning to sue/aware of suing being their last resort.) the thing that makes all of this hm is the fact that this is not a case of the entire group walking out (like beast and got7 did) but only a subunit; this has happened before in sm history, of course, and in that case usually the units/members would leave the company. i also think there is no way sm will give them their name. all this is to say that i support them wholeheartedly and that i love exo very much, they could be singing for coins on a street corner for all i care and i’d show up, but that doesn’t make the future any scarier. i just need them to be okay. well, and wille in the best case.

Since today is Stay Day, let's talk about how I became a Stay.

One Saturday afternoon in 2020, I was cleaning my room, as I do on the weekends. I listen to music while I clean, so I had music playing on my tv and I was just doing my thing. I didn't listen to much kpop then, mostly just Got7 (who were my ult group at the time), but I listened to enough of them that I had a kpop Daily Mix on my Spotify.

I remember cleaning up and then Easy came on. I think it was the first song that played on that mix that wasn't a Got7 song that clicked with me. So, I looked up the group because I wanted to hear more. Since they'd recently had a comeback, YouTube directed me to God's Menu and then Felix happened.

I'm pretty sure I stopped cleaning my room and went down the SKZ rabbit hole that day because I wanted to listen to more of this group. So, I watched music videos, I listened to the albums, and the more I liked them, the more I wanted to know about the boys who made this music. And that's when Chan happened.

The music got me first, but learning about the kids themselves is what made me a Stay. I did not watch the survival show, but I watched all the SKZ shows (The 9th, Finding SKZ, etc.). But I think discovering the album intro videos and 2 Kids Room is what sealed the deal and made SKZ my ult group.

Next thing you know, I'm buying albums (something I'd never done), and waking up at 4 in the morning to livestream concerts and fanmeetings.

I like it here, though. The music's good, the kids are great. I don't see myself going anywhere anytime soon.

Reaction to NCT Dream Starstruck episode 5

So Dream recorded a tiktok (I think) to get fans to come over to Santa Monica. Hopefully it wasn't too crowded and it was safe for everyone there.

This is basically like a fanmeet which is nice! I feel like fanmeets are more difficult to hold internationally because it is very reliant on good interpreters and there's just that natural time gap which may lead to an awkward lag in reaction.

Mark has an oddly soothing voice when he's reading instructions. Which is odd because I get stressed when he's speaking normally. Because like Jaejae said, Mark has a habit of saying a lot without saying much ^^;;

They have a surprisingly diverse group of fans up there, I would have assumed that all of them were local. But I guess Santa Monica is a big tourist spot too.

I guess the games are a way to ration the stock because otherwise they'd run out super fast. While watching this I was reminded of the GOT7 trip to Jeju where they also ran a food truck, but they didn't ration their food. That being said, I'm guessing Jeju Island is less busy so they knew they'd have enough food for the maximum expected people. Which is sort of what happened. They did run out of the more popular dishes at first, but they didn't close shop until nighttime.
