[ He dropped the ground. The sound was right near him, and he was already disorientated by the punch to the jaw. The pop alone was like he was being hit with a sledgehammer, ears ringing, Simon could barely hear himself crying out in shrill synth wail ]

[ The vertigo didn't really let up, which was not helped at all by the fuzzy noises in his ears. It'd turn out he was a lot more sensitive to volume than the average person now ]

[ And whats more? After he tried to get up, he felt a sharp twinge between his ribs. And when he moved his paw to it, it felt wet ]

[ Simon’s fur stood up on ends as he heard the voice of the ole sheriff, looking like he quite literally robbed a bank ]
