Golf’s Biggest Names Going “ALL IN” 

Some of golf’s biggest names will take their talents from the fairway to the felt (virtually) Thursday, April 16 for the Chipping All-In charity poker tournament. Cards will fly beginning at noon PST, giving fans the opportunity to watch their favorite golfers, including Jimmy Walker, Michelle Wie, John Daly and more compete in a live online Texas Hold’em tournament. 

Event proceeds will go to the MGM Resorts Foundation’s Employee Emergency Grant Fund, which provides employees and their immediate families with short-term relief in making payments or to meet obligations during unexpected hardships and emergencies. The fund is designed to assist those impacted by the coronavirus, including full-time employees, on-call employees and those facing layoff, separation or furlough.

Presented by MGM Resorts, Loaded and the World Poker Tour® (WPT®), Chipping All-In will feature an interactive broadcast on ​Twitch (Twitch.tv/AllStarPass) and YouTube (YouTube.com/AllStarPass). Audience members can make real-time donations at www.mgmresorts.com/ChippingAllin. 

Participants will give personal shout outs to viewers who donate.

Chipping All-In will divide the players among multiple tables with the top finishers from each advancing to the final table. Live player audio throughout the tournament will create an immersive experience for viewers. Additionally, viewers will be able to engage with the players during a live Q&A.

In meiner 10 teiligen Serie gibt es heute vorletzten Teil mit dem Herrn Martin Kaymer. Er ist aus deutscher sicht aktuell der bestes männliche Golfprofi. Und das schon sehr lange.

Martin Kaymer - Fakten

Martin Kaymer (* 28. Dezember1984 in Düsseldorf) ist ein deutscher Berufsgolfer. Mit der PGA Championship (2010) und der US Open (2014) gewann er bislang zwei der Major-Turniere. Nach Bernhard Langer ist Kaymer der zweite Deutsche, der zum Kreis der Major-Sieger gehört. Wie Langer auch war er eine Zeitlang Führender in der Golfweltrangliste. Im Februar 2011 erreichte er als bis dato zweitjüngster Spieler mit 26 Jahren die Spitzenposition, die er acht Wochen lang inne hatte. Martin stammt aus Mettmann und wechselte später nach Düsseldorf auf das auf Sport ausgerichtete Gymnasium Lore-Lorentz. Seine golferische Karriere beginnt mit 10 Jahren im GC Mettmann. Aber eigenlich hat Ihm Golf am Anfang kein Spaß gemacht. In einem Interview dazu sagte er folgende: Mein Vater hat mich immer mal wieder mit auf den Golfplatz genommen. Da hat mir Golf erstmal gar nicht gefallen. Dann haben wir begonnen, mit der ganzen Familie zu spielen. Ich immer mit meiner Mutter im Team, wir waren wirklich sehr eng. Und das hat dann Spaß gemacht, vor allem, weil wir häufig gewonnen haben. Außerdem bin ich immer besser geworden, dann bleibt man dabei. Martin Kaymer 2018 Den nächsten Schritt machte er 2005, denn dort wechselte Martin Kaymer in Profilager und das mit einem Handycap von +4,8. Hut ab. Die Saison 2006 begann er auf der EDP Tour, der sogenannten 3. Liga im europäischen Golfsport (heute Pro Golf Tour). Dort legte er mal gleich mit einer 59er Runde im Sommer bei den Habsberger Classic einen Meilenstein vor. In diesem Jahr gewann er auch die Gesamtwertung in dieser Serie. So ganz nebenbei gewann er auch in diesem Jahr das erste Challenge Tour Turnier ,dem noch weitere folgten. Somit landete er im nächsten Jahr auf der European Tour 2007. Bereits in seinem ersten Jahr auf der European Tour schlug sich Martin Kaymer beachtlich und wurde mit dem Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year Award ausgezeichnet. Martin Kaymer und das Jahr 2011 Der nächste Meilenstein gelang ihm im Jahr 2011. Am 23. Januar 2011 überholte er nach seinem neunten Sieg mit acht Schlägen Vorsprung auf der European Tour in Abu Dhabi Tiger Woods als Zweiten der Weltrangliste. Einen Monat später setzte er sich durch seinen Halbfinalsieg über Bubba Watson und den Einzug ins Finale bei den WGC Accenture Match Play Championships an die Spitze der Weltrangliste. Er ist nach Bernhard Langer erst der zweite Deutsche, dem dies gelang. Im April verlor er seinen Nummer-1-Status wieder an Westwood, als dieser die Indonesian Masters auf der Asian Tour gewann. Seit Juni ist Kaymer mit Caddie Christian Donald, dem Bruder von Luke Donald unterwegs. Bei der 140. Ausgabe der Open Championship lag Kaymer nach zwei guten ersten Runden auf Platz drei, musste sich jedoch am Ende mit Rang zwölf und acht Schlägen Rückstand auf den Nordiren Darren Clarke zufriedengeben. Im November feierte Martin Kaymer bei den WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai seinen zehnten Erfolg im 120. gespielten Turnier auf der European Tour. Mit neun Birdies auf den letzten zwölf Löchern und einer 63er-Schlussrunde gewann er durch drei Schläge Vorsprung vor dem Schweden Fredrik Jacobson – die niedrigste Schlussrunde, die je bei einem Turnier der World-Golf-Championships-Serie erzielt wurde. Mit einem gewonnenen Preisgeld von 842.218 € kletterte er auf Rang zwei der europäischen Geldrangliste und konnte zum dritten Mal in Folge mehr als zwei Millionen Euro in einer Saison verbuchen. Dies war zugleich sein erster Sieg bei einem WGC-Turnier und er ist damit der erste Deutsche, der je bei den Championships gewinnen konnte. Darüber hinaus sicherte sich Kaymer zum vierten Mal in Folge mindestens zwei Turniersiege in einer Saison. Im Jahr 2013 hatte Martin Kaymer dann seine Premiere auf der PGA Tour. Deshalb muss man aber auf dem Sportler Martin Kaymer nicht in den sozialen Medien "rumhacken"! Seit stolz das es auch in diesem Sport deutsche Herren und Damen gibt, die für eine gewisse Zeit ganz oben mitgespielt haben! Das letzte Wort hat Martin Ich muss nicht mein ganzes Leben Profigolfer sein, auch wenn ich sicherlich nie ganz die Finger vom Schläger werde lassen können. Nach dem Golf werfe ich mich sicherlich in die nächste Herausforderung, das ist einfach mein Ding. Zum Beispiel als Rennfahrer oder so. Dann würde ich da versuchen, in einer bestimmten Klasse der Beste zu werden.
