Do you happen to use any Nraas modules with your KW? I use a ton of them and have missed having kw in my game (but not the lag) and you’ve just shared a way to be naughty with minimal lag. If there’s very little conflicts… I may have to download. Thank you!
Yes, I use the same NRaas mods in my Kinky World saves that I use in my non-KW saves, which is all of them except Vector, if I'm remembering right. And I do not disable ErrorTrap's dereferencing as recommended, either. (Doing that basically deactivates ErrorTrap, and you don't want to do that. I'm half-convinced that this is why KW has a save-breaking reputation, because ErrorTrap isn't doing the behind-the-scenes clean-up of EA crap that it's designed to do.) But yeah, in my experience NRaas mods and KW work mostly fine together, with the proviso that I don't use all of KW's functions because I'm just not interested in them. I have no interest in sims being raped or sims engaging in bestiality, for instance. (No shame if someone else wants those in their fantasy game. It's just not what I'm into, so those things and a few others are turned off.) Even so, when it comes to KW+NRaas functionality issues, I think the only relevant thing is that NRaas doesn't like KW's playable high school system, and it may just be Story Progression that doesn't like it. At least, that's what I've read. I've never used a KW high school myself because it's another of those things I'm not interested in. So with all that in mind, the KW+NRaas issues I have noticed are:
1) Go Here, believe it or not. They don't conflict in game-crashing or game-breaking ways but in smaller ways. For example, with both KW and GoHere in place, when a sim leaves work, they won't come home in the carpool vehicle. They will briefly get in the carpool vehicle, then get out, summon a taxi or their owned vehicle, and then go home in that. (Which sucks if you're playing with a mod where taxis cost money. For this reason I don't use such a mod in KW saves, though I do in non-KW ones.) Likewise, kids won't take the bus home from school. They'll get in the bus, then get out, and ride their bike (or sometimes walk) home instead. This doesn't bother me, but it is a conflict between them. Even if it did bother me, I highly value Go Here's door-locking functionality, so I'd put up with it. :)
Also, sort of related to Go Here, if you happen to use the Toddler Independence mod (the one that allows toddlers to climb stairs), I haven't been able to get it to work with KW, at least not with the Go Here-compatible version of that mod. It's conflicting with KW (or with the combination of KW and Go Here) somehow because Toddler Independence works fine in my non-KW saves, but not in my KW ones. Just thought I'd mention it.
2) Woohooer, perhaps obviously. Basically, with KW in a save, you don't need Woohooer unless you want teen woohoo/pregnancy and/or male- and/or same-sex pregnancy because KW doesn't enable either of those. I want all of that, so what I do when playing a KW save is turn off everything else but teen and male/same-sex pregnancy in Woohooer's settings. That said, you can leave things on, if you want to. You can build Woohooer's Kama Sutra skill, you can get the Woohooer post-woohoo moodlets in addition to the KW ones, etc. But, I just leave on the teen and mpreg/same-sex preg stuff and turn off/make non-autonomous everything else.
(Also, there's a bug fix included with Woohooer that you might want even if you want/need nothing else in Woohooer when using KW. That is that the game can freeze when an NPC is giving birth. Woohooer fixes this and, so far as I know, it's the only fix for it. So there's that, too. You can turn off everything in Woohooer's settings, but it will still fix this bug. So you might want to keep it in play just for that.)
3) Retuner, a bit. But, again, not in game-breaking ways, and only if you use Retuner to customize pregnancy length and correspondingly adjust when sims get the symptoms of pregnancy and the moodlets and start the preggo walk and all that. Left to its own devices, KW will trample all over those settings unless you also go into the KW settings and set the pregnancy length to match whatever you set it to be in Retuner. Then it should follow the other pregnancy-related settings you set in Retuner as well. Non-pregnancy-related settings in Retuner are all fine.
4) Relativity, but only in the sense that if you use it to slow down the game and to commensurately slow down skill-gaining, Relativity can't affect the speed that sims gain KW's Woohoo and Exhibition skills. Because obviously Relativity doesn't "see" those skills. So it's not a conflict so much as a "you just can't do this" thing.
Similarly, I've also tried slowing down the gaining of the KW skills more manually using Master Controller's settings where you can set individual skills to gain more quickly or more slowly. Although those skills do show on the list where you can control that in Master Controller, changing the multipliers for those skills doesn't seem to change anything in-game. Unfortunately. So, if you play with longer life spans, you'll have sims who master the KW skills very quickly, which is a bad thing in my view, but of course YMMV.
5) Story Progression. These two don't really conflict, except that KW has a very rudimentary story progression of its own that, again if left to its own devices, will overwrite the equivalent settings in NRaas Story Progression. So, I just turn off all of KW's story progression except for the two bits that control NPCs gaining the KW skills because obviously there's no equivalent settings in the NRaas mod for those. Everything seems to work fine. For instance, I use Story Progression's caste system extensively in my D/s world to differentially govern the behaviors of those sims who are doms and those who are subs. It all works fine in conjunction with KW.
And that's really all that I've noticed after years of playing with KW and NRaas mods across many saves. That said, if you do choose to play with NRaas+KW and you have problems, the folks at NRaas will (rightfully) not help you with any save touched by KW. Basically, using KW in a save "voids your warranty" when it comes to the NRaas mods in that save. So, if you're not a person that can figure things out for yourself when things go wrong or don't work as expected, bear that in mind.
Whatever the case, if you choose to proceed, don't become overly attached to any KW save, with NRaas or not. I've actually never had one go bonkers (and I've been playing a few KW saves for quite a long time), and as I said I'm half-convinced that this is because I don't hamstring ErrorTrap as recommended, but there's always a first time. Don't plan to do a 10-generation legacy in a KW save if you're the type to be heartbroken over it going belly-up in Gen 8 or something, and also, as always, make lots of back-ups, and I think you'll be fine.

Antwerp, 11:00.
Overnight Pulpca sailed from Tilbury, UK to Antwerp, Belgium. This is the ship I’ll be joining this evening for its next leg to Finland. I’ve instructions to arrive at the port terminal 16.30-18.30. But first I’ve to visit the Immigration Office to be stamped out of Schengen. It’s a 20 min taxi to Blauwhoefstraat…
It will be interesting to see if they pickup the fact I’ve been in Schengen 150 days… I’ve permanent residency in Italy, but there’s nothing on my UK passport to say that. I’ve got my Italian ID card if things get awkward.
Still lots unclear…. Am I the only passenger? What’s the route - some ships use the Kiel Canal across Germany, others go around Denmark. How much freedom do I have on the ship? Can I get off in Finland? What’s the WiFi password?!
A few last minute purchases in Antwerp before I leave, hat & gloves. And seasickness tablets!
The ships
Transfennica transports goods between Finland and Europe with six Spliethoff type ro-ro vessels. The shipping company is currently part of the Dutch Spliethoff group.
These ships fly the Dutch flag and have a length of 205 m and a breadth of 25,5 m. They have a container capacity of 640 TEU, 20ft equiv units, 2,900 lane metres of deck space and a speed in excess of 22 knots and are ice-strenghtened to ice class 1 A Super.
Fin stabilizers ensure a safe passage in rough weather. Ships are equipped with two medium speed main engines, together with an output of 25,200 kW. The two bow thrusters produce 850 kW each.
Spliethoff Con-Ro ships are M/s: Timca(2006), Kraftca (2006), Genca (2007), Trica (2007), Pulpca (2008), Plyca (2009).
I’m still puzzled what’s in this for Transfennica - or the other shipping lines? Surely having some random off the street on your ship brings some risk you could do without? The few €€ they make out of me must be insignificant compared to the economics of running these ships.
The last thing a railway or airline wants is a passenger getting involved with the operational side. Isn’t this like an airline selling off the jumpseat in the cockpit? Or a railway selling the second man’s seat in the loco?!

*Sekaiichi Hatsukoi Extras Translation*
Needless to say, there are spoilers.
Volume 11 cover, Chapter 22.5, chapter 24.5, volume 12 cover, volume 12 special illustration book extra
Apologies that this is late, but I promised that I would add some untranslated extras, and here they are!! This time, they are translated from the Chinese with some rudimentary consultation of the original Japanese text, but the caveat still stands that some of the original nuance from the Japanese text may not have been captured!! Any errors are mine alone. Also!!! I know a lot of you hate me for the other posts being so long, and I’m SORRYYYYYY. I’m new to Tumblr please don’t hate me. Again, this is not a scanlation, just a translation project for those who want to read the chapters early!
Credits for scans: First Love 漢化組 for Volume 11 cover and 22.5
Tongmenghui 同萌繪 Draw Club for Volume 12 cover and 24.5
If there are any objections to posting the link to these scans, message me, and I’ll be sure to take them down at owner’s request.

page 1:
[It has been a while since I saw Yoshikawa-sensei.]
Yoshino: Ahh, Takano-san, it has been too long. So sorry, um, about the draft, you know, that it was... *embarrassed embarrassed*
Takano-san: You’ve worked hard. It’s totally fine. You weren’t the last person to turn in their drafts this time around.
Yoshino: Really?!! That’s amazing!!
Hatori: Like hell “it’s amazing.” Nearly every other time, you’re -
Takano: Okay, okay. We’re looking forward to continuing to work with you, Yoshikawa-sensei.
Page 2:
Yoshino: So sorry to trouble you, thank you for all the help. Well then, I’ll be accepting this souvenir. (*polite polite!!*)
Takano: Why is it almost always impossible to tell the ages of manga creators? Yoshikawa-sensei seems so young! How old is he?
Hatori: The same age as me.
Hatori and Takano: …
Hatori: It’s fine, when I was in middle school, people would say I seemed old enough to be a functioning member of society.
(If it wasn’t because of my face, it was a judgement of my mental age…)
Takano: No. I didn’t say anything.
[This is most likely Yoshikawa-sensei’s fault.]
Chapter 22.5
This is the extra at the end of Volume 11, and it takes place after the Emerald Editing Department’s trip to the onsen to buy Isaka-san’s udon is unfortunately prolonged by inclement weather. This is right after the chapter where Takano and Onodera visit Takano’s grandmother’s grave. Basically, they were supposed to go back to Tokyo, but flights were cancelled because of a major storm, so they were stuck another day at the onsen.

Page 1:
Onodera: I know that because of the weather, we can’t go back to Tokyo at this time, so there’s no helping that… (Even if we did go back, it would just be to mountains of work…)
And it just so happened that another guest cancelled their room reservations, so, luckily, we can stay here another night, but… BUT
Onodera: WHY THE HELL DO I HAVE TO ROOM WITH YOU OF ALL PEOPLE!!!
Takano: Isn’t because there were only three goddamn rooms left?
--
Page 2:
Onodera: So, didn’t I just say that I’d rather room with anyone but you? (*fighting fighting*)
Takano: You’re so fucking annoying. I’ll double your workload.
Onodera: WHAA??!!!!
(this is totally, a straight-up abuse of power)
Takano: Geez, the rain’s really coming down.
--
Page 3:
Takano: ….
Ahh…..
[Ritsu stops]
Onodera: Wha-what is it?
Takano: Thinking about it, when we were in high school, there was one day when it was raining and you brought an umbrella and waited for me.
Onodera: Did – did that happen? I don’t remember anything like that.
Takano: Yep, it did. I was being pretty seriously stalked by you.
Onodera: Please stop talking about me like I was some sort of criminal!
--
Page 4:
Takano: Back then, I’ll admit that I never thought that I would be able to come travelling with you like this, but still, I’m happy that we were able to come here together.
*Holds hands*
*heartbeat*
--
page 5:
*pushes away*
Onodera: Hey, wait!! We’re in the hallway!!!!!!!
Takano: So, you’d be okay if it was the room?
Onodera: No – that is not what I meant!!
Takano: Didn’t I say that we had to finish what we started?
--
Page 6:
Takano: We should wake up early tomorrow to do it once.
Onodera: Wai—Didn’t I say, we’re not doing it-
*closes eyes*
[Ahhh…]

page 7:
Kisa: ALRIIIIGHHHT!!!!!! RICHAAAAAAAN!!!! Wanna go to the baths now?
*JOLT*
Takano: ………..…..….Kisa-san…. You….
Kisa: (Oh, there you two are.) Huh? Whatchu guys doing?
Takano: ………………………………..
Onodera, it’ll have to be at least three times.
Onodera: What?!! Why is that your conclusion?
Kisa: ????
What are you guys talking about~~~??
No. 22.5 the end.
[in the final page – RItsu bought a box of his own udon to eat. The box says- Udon, 24 packets]
Cover Volume 12
https://www.manhuaren.com/m499892/
(starting with the page after the cover of the illustration collection extra, the one with a black background and Kisa’s head as the first panel.)
[When I first met Kisa]
Takano: You’re a student here for part time work?
Kisa: Oh, I’ve gotten this sort of question loads of times.
Takano: Oh. Sorry. Didn't realize that you were older than me… (I’m Takano)
Kisa: No worries, no worries – I’m used to it. (The name’s Kisa!)
Takano: Then you’ve got some really youthful looking skin.
Kisa: The truth is that when I was in middle school, I made a deal with the devil, so I wouldn’t grow any older. It has been like that ever since. (Since I’ve been found out, might as well let you know…)
(heh heh heh)
Who’s to say I won’t live upwards of one thousand years?
--
page 2:
Takano: So, next, I’d like to talk about division of work. (Is that okay?)
Kisa: I totally do not mind that you’re completely looking over me. (Not even using polite speech!) (t/n this translation I was a little bit unsure of).
[At this time, Takano did not make too much of this.]
Takano: What’re you doing?
Onodera: Ah! Kisa-san is showing me a picture from when he was in middle school!
Here, check it out!
Takano: ………………………… the devil’s deal….
Kisa: The heck?
[However, now, Takano can’t help but start to think that maybe what Kisa said back then was true.]
Chapter 24.5
https://www.manhuaren.com/m499892/
(This is the extra at the end of Volume 12. Starting with what looks like keys, water bottle, and wallet falling out and then Takano and Onodera on the floor picking up fallen objects)
--
page 1:
*CRASSSSHHHHHHHHH*
*Tumbletumble*
Onodera: (OHHH MY GOOODD.) SO- SORR!!!!!
Onodera: …-ry… Ah! Takano-san?!! (You’re still here?!)
Takano: Ouch--- watch where you’re going, why don’t you.
Onodera: I’m sorry! I’m hurrying to catch the last train!
Takano: You’re not going to make it. Better take a taxi – just take one with me, problem solved.
(Ugh, and it had to be this time that you use a bag without a zipper.)
Onodera: It’s FINE. If I run, I can still make it.
Takano: And also, your bag has way too much stuff in it.
Onodera: Good work today – I’m taking my leave!!
*Stuff stuff*
--
page 2:
*Onodera runs off*
Onodera (thinking): …. Gahh I’m exhausted!!! Who knew that there would be an accident on the last train… (If I had known, I would have taken a cab.)
My bag is so heavy!!
But… there really is too much stuff in my bag. I’ll clean it out a little…
??
Huh? Aren’t these Takano-san’s glasses?
Ah! Maybe I put it in my bag by mistake when we bumped into each other earlier?
(Waa.) Shoot! Better return these quickly.
--
page 3:
Onodera:…
*puts on*
Oh my goddd. *Dizzy dizzy*
These are strong!!!
Takano-san’s eyesight is pretty bad after all!
[I seem to remember that someone once said that glasses are a crucial part of a person’s appearance.]
[Takano-san’s…]
--
*BZZZT BZZT BZZT*
Onodera: !!??? *jolt*
Ah!! HELLO?!!
Takano: Sorry to call in the middle of the night. Were my glasses put in your bag by accident?
Onodera: (AH – ha-ha!)
Ah! Yes! I have them!!!
B-but, more to the point, Takano, you’re really blind, huh…
Takano: Huh? What? You wore my glasses?
Onodera: *JOLT* EH??! AH, NO!!! I definitely didn’t!!
Takano: Uh-huuuuuuuh.
Onodera: So I’m saying, I didn’t…!
The end.
Hatori and Onodera, end page comic:
Onodera: S-so! I’m thinking that there has to be some sort of pot in which I can supply the ingredients and it can make the dishes itself, and I just don’t know about it yet. If there really was this sort of thing, I really want one!
(That’s some miracle pot…)
Takano: Onodera, you should just stick with learning how to chop food…
Nakamura-sensei: This has been Nakamura Shungiku. Thank you so much for buying World’s Greatest first love, the case of Onodera Ritsu Volume 12!
If it helped you feel at least a little bit of happiness, that is my honor.
The story is still unfolding, so I hope that you can continue to follow it. Thank you in advance for all of your continued support! See you next time!
Volume 12 Special Edition Illustration Collection Extra:
https://www.manhuaren.com/m499892/
This is the extra included in the Special Illustration Book that was paired with the special edition of Volume 12. It’s the one that begins with Onodera in a loose-fitting shirt.
It takes place right after the amazing shower scene from chapter 24.
--
Page 1:
*loose fitting clothing*
As to how it got to this point…
First, being jumped by Takano-san (waaaa)
-->
Taking advantage of Takano-san falling asleep to try to head back home, but not finding any clothes … or underwear…
(Suddenly disappeared)
-->
Onodera: What?!
It seems that when I wasn’t paying attention, Takano-san took it upon himself to throw my stuff in the wash. (with a dryer cycle too!!)
--> But! I want to go home!!
Onodera: (thinking): Even though I knew that the clothes wouldn’t fit because of our different statures, it still really pisses me off.
(as a point of manly pride)
I know that wearing Takano-san’s clothes without his permission isn’t so good, but that’s because he threw MY clothes in the wash without asking me! He totally did that on purpose!!!
--
page 2:
Onodera (thinking): Even though I live next door, I can’t go like this back to my house… Maybe I should also borrow a pair of pants?
(So sorry for going through your closet without your permission.)
But…. Eh?
[No matter what, it’s not decent to wear someone else’s pants while going commando, right?
Ah, but, at this point, wouldn’t I also have to borrow his underwear?
Huh? What? I have to wear Takano-san’s underwear?]
Takano: If you want, you can have these.
Onodera: *Enraged*
I DON’T WANT THEM!!!
Takano: Oh, okay. Well then, you can either go back with your dick hanging out, or you can come back to bed with me – your call.
Onodera: WHY ARE THOSE THE ONLY OPTIONS??!!!

Fleet charging infrastructure has become a new revenue frontier
What we’ve also seen is an emerging third motivator that is not only available to commercial fleet operators, but also to retail and commercial businesses — and that’s new revenue streams opened up by selling electric vehicle charging station capacity.
Across Australia, we have only just past 3000 public charging stations. While the lack of installed charging stations has been a barrier to electric vehicle adoption, recent state government support and private sector initiatives will result in an acceleration of the rollout of charging infrastructure There are too many critical social, economic and environmental drivers for it to go away. There is still significant potential for more charging infrastructure, with the growing need presenting a compelling business case for charging stations as a new revenue stream.
A real-life example from Germany
ABB partnered with Münchner Taxi Zentrum (MTZ) in Germany to look at energy savings and new commercial models for small to medium-sized enterprises. That work pointed to a clear opportunity for leveraging the ‘latent energy’ of charging infrastructure as a new source of business value. The analysis looked at the performance of MTZ’s 10 Jaguar iPace taxis and five ABB 50 kW Terra 54 DC fast-charging stations. We found that, during a single 24-hour period, there were up to 20 hours where the charging facilities were not used. Because their pricing was based on the peak, there was no penalty as long as the company operated under that peak for the remaining 20 hours. In other words, there was a total additional load capacity of more than 4000 kWh over a 24-hour period that could be on-sold at no additional cost.
We know that businesses will achieve a quality return on investment (ROI) in a reasonable time frame from making the shift to electric vehicles. What we want to encourage is for businesses to explore how they can compress that ROI payoff by turning their charging stations into a revenue opportunity based on unused capacity. For example, MTZ had 10 electric taxis using five chargers with two peak charging periods before the morning and evening rush hours. Outside of those hours, they were sitting on an untapped resource.
The business case for charging station revenue
Selling spare charging station capacity as a service itself offers a range of applications. For example, you may be able to serve consumers wanting a convenient place to charge their car, or co-share with other enterprises also making the leap to an electric fleet. Selling capacity requires modest set-up costs in processes and technologies — such as digital tracking to measure customer use and monitor your energy profile. The key is to ensure you operate beneath your maximum peak and monitor tariff structures.
Our advice is to remember that not all sites are the same. What works on one site may not work at another due to factors such as the amount of power running past or the distribution set-up in the building. For organisations forming their business case, we recommend commissioning a load study first and then analysing that against a power study on your building. From there, as a supplier of chargers, ABB’s approach is to work with the installer and engineer to determine the most effective solution for a given organisation’s goals — and doing that based on future requirements as well as current.
Front and centre is the ability to adapt to changing conditions. For example, charging during the middle of summer will have different peak periods because of the use of other assets, like air conditioning. A system needs to be able to adapt to seasonality. Then there is the ability to adapt to changing business drivers. For example, some providers won’t always want to bill for charging, like retail shops that use a ‘first 20 minutes free’ offer to attract shoppers to their centre. And in all contexts, there can be different approaches to billing, whether based on time or energy used. The key is to appropriately limit the time someone is on the charger while giving them maximum range from the time they have. These are some of the considerations we focus on.
Build for the future
In addition to those immediate considerations, a major priority is installing charger technology that can be upgraded. We now have some modular solutions that start at 90 kW and can be upgraded over time as long as the distribution system can also be upgraded to support it. For a business looking at how it can attract revenue from charging, the next question should be how it can grow capacity as the revenue stream grows. Rather than digging up roadway and running more cables, the ideal is a modular distribution system supported by an upgradable charger (and a charger geared for multiple battery types) so that both can cater for future demand.
Together with the lack of charging infrastructure in Australia, and growing number of electric vehicles, charging services present a strong business opportunity. With considered pricing, it is an opportunity to create a new revenue stream that is likely to support businesses until they have reached their own ROI goals — and likely before charging infrastructure is commonplace. To us, unused capacity is an unrealised opportunity for new and ongoing value.

Automotive Fuel Cell Market by Component (Fuel Processor, Fuel Cell Stack, Power Conditioner, Air Compressor, Humidifier), Power Output, Hydrogen Fuel Stations, Vehicle Type (Passenger car, LCV, Truck, Bus), Operating Miles, Region - Global Forecast 2028 published on
https://www.sandlerresearch.org/automotive-fuel-cell-market-by-component-fuel-processor-fuel-cell-stack-power-conditioner-air-compressor-humidifier-power-output-hydrogen-fuel-stations-vehicle-type-passenger-car-lcv-truck.html
Automotive Fuel Cell Market by Component (Fuel Processor, Fuel Cell Stack, Power Conditioner, Air Compressor, Humidifier), Power Output, Hydrogen Fuel Stations, Vehicle Type (Passenger car, LCV, Truck, Bus), Operating Miles, Region - Global Forecast 2028
“The growth of the automotive fuel cell market can be attributed to the increasing demand for large range, low emission commuting and government support for use of zero emission vehicles across the globe.”
The global automotive fuel cell market size is projected to reach 596,255 units by 2028, from an estimated 20,168 units in 2021, at a CAGR of 62.2%. Governments are supporting FCEV’s through subsidies & tax rebates for using low emission vehicles and working in collaboration with such OEM’s to speed up growth of their countries.
Increased demand for efficient and low emission vehicles along with government support will boost the automotive fuel cell market. Consumers from developing countries are already feeling the heat of the increasing cost of petrol. Fuel Cell vehicles use can reduce the operating cost of these vehicles. To make the automotive fuel cell market grow, continued support from the government will be needed along with the growing research of fuel cell systems to reduce the initial cost of fuel cell options for the vehicles.
However, COVID-19 pandemic is expected to have an impact on the automotive fuel cell market. Both the production and sales of FCEV’s had come to a halt in the first few months of 2020 across the globe as the whole ecosystem had been disrupted. However, in the next two quarters, the sale of FCEV’s had been growing. OEMs had to wait until lockdowns were lifted to resume production, which affected their business. Post the pandemic, the demand for FCEV’s might increase, as people are getting increasingly conceous for reducing emissions from vehicles around the world.
“The Passenger vehicle Segment is expected to be the largest market in the vehicle segment in the forecast.”
Passenger cars are motor vehicles primarily used to transport passengers and have up to 9 seating capacity, including the driver. The passenger car segment is projected to be the largest in the automotive fuel cell market. The high adoption rate and rising demand for personal mobility is expected to drive the fuel cell passenger car market. Plans by governments to convert ICE taxi fleets into zero-emission are expected to provide significant growth opportunities in the coming years. The truck and bus segments are projected to be fast-growing segments. High efficiency, longer driving range, and need to decrease greenhouse gas emissions are expected to boost the growth of the fuel cell truck and bus market. Other off-road vehicles are also expected to benefit from the development of the FC technology. Fuel cell LCVs is projected to be the fastest-growing segment during the forecast period due to their increasing demand for long range commercial usage.
“North America to have the fastest growing hydrogen fuel stations in the forecast period”
North America is a fast-growing market for hydrogen fuel stations. US has a large number of hydrogen fuel stations catering to the market. Both US and Canada have been encouraging the demand for low emission vehicles. Fuel cell vehicles are in high demand in some states like California in US and BC in Canada. They have encouraged growth of FCEV’s by their emission regulations and laws which support growth of zero emission vehicles. Some states in both the countries provide subsidies for such vehicles including FCEV’s. US has more than 25,000 hydrogen fuel cell based forklifts and a considerable number of FC buses across its states. US and Canada have some of the world’s top fuel cell manufacturers like Ballard, Plug Power, BorgWarner etc. which has increased demand for FCEV in the country.
“LCV’s segment is expected to be fastest growing in the Vehicle type segment in the forecast period.”
Light commercial vehicles (LCVs) are vehicles with a mass ranging from between 3.5 to 7 tons. LCVs are used for the carriage of goods. Minibusses with a mass ranging from 3.5 to 7 tons, which are used for passenger transportation, have also been considered under this segment. Currently, the light commercial fuel cell vehicle market is very small, with the availability of only a few models. However, continuous developments are being undertaken in this field. Due to developments in the fuel cell technology, prices of fuel cells are expected to reduce, offering significant opportunities in the LCV market. As FC LCVs are low emission vehicles and provide higher range compared to other EVs, these vehicles are expected to have a high demand for the logistics and delivery businesses. In October 2019, Renault launched its hydrogen fuel LCVs, Kangoo Z.E., and Master Z.E in early 2020 in the market. Nikola’s Badger truck is another example of LCV using fuel cells.

Albury Tennis Association president Ken Wurtz reflects on career on court | The Daily Advertiser | Wagga Wagga, NSW
Tennis has taken Ken Wurtz around the world, but the Albury Tennis Association life member has found his most rewarding role here on the border. At 67, he's still playing the game he loves. The association president caught up with The Border Mail this week. Georgia Smith: You found your love for tennis at an early age? Ken Wurtz: My parents both played tennis, so it was a natural thing. My brothers all played. GS: Any sibling rivalry? KW: Against Graham and Rodney there was fierce rivalry. We didn't like each other on the court, but when we were off the court we were okay. GS: You spent some time playing overseas? KW: I went overseas for six months to Malaysia, Spain, England, Denmark and Belgium and had two tours of New Zealand. Spain was very interesting because they have siestas. Everyone was asleep in the morning and didn't wake up until the afternoon. You'd walk down the street with shorts on and everyone would be giggling at you because they didn't wear shorts over there in those days. Staying with people over there and the way they live is very different to how we live. You can go anywhere in the world and there's always a tennis court. GS: Face some tough opponents? KW: I had some good wins and plenty of losses. I stayed with Chris Lewis who was a number one New Zealand player at the time. He was a good bloke. I was brought up on grass courts and they played on slow dirt courts overseas. I remember one Spanish guy asked me, "why are you serve volleying all the time?" I said it's the only way I know how to play. He said "we don't do that here." GS: Any funny moments? KW: I was over in New Zealand with my friend Ivan Stoll and we went to see this wood factory where they make paper. He said to me "I'm just going to the toilet." He's gone into the toilet and comes out and he's all red in the face. I asked what happened and he said "the toilet just demolished underneath me." He blew the toilet apart. GS: You've met Bjorn Borg? KW: Ivan and I went to Gympie and played up there and that's when I first came across Bjorn Borg. I sat down with him and spoke to him. It was just like talking to anyone, he was only 19 at the time and it was his first time in Australia. That was as close as I got to a Wimbledon champion. I always respected him and he proved himself to be a very good player. GS: Plenty of highlights? KW: I won 50 or 60 open events around this area and NSW. I won a lot of doubles titles with Ivan Stoll. We won the Canterbury Open in Christchurch. When we first arrived no one wanted to know us, but once we won that everyone wanted to know us. Tennis is a great sport where you can travel the world making lots of friends, and lots of enemies. GS: You're also a coach? KW: I started when I was 11 or 12 on a Saturday morning at the grass courts. That's when I probably first started and have done it ever since. When I was about 20 I came back from overseas and started coaching again and took over my father's taxi business. ALSO IN SPORT: GS: Hard to juggle both? KW: I'd work the day shift until 3pm and then I'd start coaching at 4pm. Saturday morning I'd be coaching and then playing in the afternoon. It worked in well with tennis coaching. GS: Coach any star players? KW: Jade Culph is one. I coached him when he was young and brought him up through the ranks, then he went to college. Another one is Josh Graetz. He's over in America now as the coach of the university squad that he was in. There's been three that I've coached that have beaten me and they're two of them. GS: You've been president of the Albury Tennis Association for close to 20 years? KW: Since 2003. I try and keep everyone happy because tennis has been a big part of my life. You wonder why you do it, but I think it's because I love tennis so much and want to see the association keep going. Over the years I've had pretty good people on the committee. Just recently we renovated the toilets, which cost us a bit of money. It's good having those people that help you out and stand by you. It's an eye opener being president. It's been an experience. GS: Held other roles? KW: I was vice-president before that. I've also run the Forrest Hill tennis club for 40 years. GS: Hard year for the association? KW: We had one more round to go in the summer pennant and then we had to pull the pin. Lucky we were on top of the ladder so we won the pennant. We tried to start it in winter and got four rounds in and had to pull the pin again. We had to stop coaching as well. You need a COVID master plan, which you need in the taxis too. We'll be glad when this year is over. GS: Fair to say tennis is your life? KW: Yeah it's been my life. When I was a junior I was virtually playing six days a week going to a squad in Melbourne. Monday to Thursday you'd be hitting, Friday I'd catch a train and stay overnight with friends. Saturday morning it was squad training and then pennant in the afternoon. Then back home Saturday night to probably hit again on Sunday. There were lots of hours spent on court. GS: Shoulder injuries? KW: I was out playing against Graham and some other guys about 10 weeks ago and when I went to throw the ball up and serve I couldn't. They said "what are you doing?" I said I'd have to serve underarm because I couldn't throw the ball up. I had to go see my doctor. I thought I've got a break between December and February when we start again, so I thought I'd get that done. Just a clean up. GS: Still playing pennant? KW: Yeah with my brother Graham in section two. I played section one for a number of years. I'm trying to enjoy it a bit more. GS: Hope to keep playing? KS: It's good exercise, so I'll keep going.

6 Automakers From China and Elsewhere That Surprised in Frankfurt
Auto shows are all struggling to reinvent themselves as more and more brands are choosing to sit them out. There were many no-show brands at this year’s Frankfurt show. Some shows are mounting concurrent “mobility” conferences, but Frankfurt seems to have added a supplier/engineering event such as North America’s SAE World Congress. Of course, prime show floor space vacated by Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Nissan, Infiniti, Peugeot, and DS managed to get snapped up by “young Asian brands” with unfamiliar names such as WEY, Thunder Power, Aspark, and a few more-established names. We’ve got highlights. Borgward Isabella Concept This storied and supposedly still well-known and respected German brand has been revived by a team of Chinese investors. A plant is already up and running in China producing SUVs. The plan is to bring them to Europe next year and to eventually open a plant near Bremen, Germany, to build vehicles for European consumption. This fetching concept named for the fetching coupe produced in the brand’s heyday was penned by a new design team based in Stuttgart with designers plucked from Mini (Anders Warming) and Kia (David Genot). The Isabella borrows very few design cues directly from the vintage car, but it attempts to deliver what that car represented in its day—a beautiful accessible dream car. The four-door coupe profile features an exceptionally aerodynamic profile (air flows behind the C-pillars), and its interior is highly imaginative. Features include a “coffee table” lower shelf under a “surfboard” covered in silver mesh, bisected by a black “scarf,” which contains most of the controls for the large curved screen just below the windshield and also for a hologram display. These folks are dreaming big! Borgward BX5, BX7, and BXi7 Borgward is not part of a joint venture with any Chinese brands (there is a relationship with truck manufacturer Foton Motor Group), but boy, their styling department seems to be borrowing pretty heavily from Shanghai GM/SAIC’s work with Buick. The smaller BX5 and larger BX7 both seem to echo the waterfall grille and rear-quarter-panel details of the Buick. The BXi7 is an all-electric version of the BX7. The mainstream utes are on sale in China now, and sales in Europe are expected to start next year. Aspark Owl Japanese EV upstart Aspark unveiled this low-slung and fairly fetching supercar that’s about the size of a Ford GT, claiming some pretty amazing numbers for it: 0-62 mph in 2.0 seconds. Yikes. Naturally it’s routing its power to all four wheels, but even with only 1,900 or so pounds to tug around, that’s asking a lot of the tires’ grip. It’s also impressive given the modest output claims of 429 hp and 563 lb-ft of torque. The range is claimed to be about 90 miles, and the top speed is 174 mph. We’d caution against holding your breath for this one, but if it can put down numbers like those, there will be a lot less laughing at the dorky name. Thunder Power Speaking of names that might not have been thoroughly focus grouped in English-speaking countries, Hong Kong-based Thunder Power is also planning to get into the EV business. Unlike Aspark and a few American EV startups we can think of, Thunder Power has a factory under construction in Guangzhou, China, that will reportedly be capable of producing 100,000 EVs per year. An R&D center will be located near Barcelona, Spain, and the company is planning to build an assembly plant there, too, for satisfying European demand. This is Thunder Power’s second appearance at the Frankfurt show. Last time it showed a concept of the sedan that appears this year in development-prototype camo. The focal point of this year’s display is a new SUV concept that was presented along with a naked aluminum chassis buck. The SUV points in the general design direction of a production variant that is sure to lose the pillarless coach door arrangement and probably the cross-car infotainment screen. The sedan is expected to go on sale next year, with the SUV following a year later. Pricing for the sedan has been reported starting in the mid-50s stretching to 100,000 euros—so, Tesla territory. The Milanese design work might not strike all eyes as more beautiful than a Tesla. WEY China’s Great Wall introduced the premium SUV sub-brand WEY this past April and has opened a technical office in Germany. For its Frankfurt debut, it designed an off-road coupe concept called the XEV, which, as the name suggests, is electrically powered. The concept manages to look pretty good without looking like anybody else’s SUV—a rare combination in the still fairly nascent Chinese auto industry. WEY aims to begin selling its SUVs in Europe in 2019, most likely opening with the Hi4-hybrid powered VV5, which definitely has a vaguely familiar look to it. The crossover will be available in sporty S and Hi4 powertrain variants. The latter consists of a 2.0-liter gasoline four-cylinder Great Wall engine fitted with a belt-alternator-starter good for 13 hp, spinning the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Out back there’s a 174-hp electric motor. The hybrid battery stores just 1.166 kW-hr of electricity. Chery The Chinese invasion of Europe really gets rolling in 2019 when Chery expects to bring its globally homologated Exeed TX SUV model here (the Tiggo 5X and Tiggo 7 sharing the floor space do not meet European standards). Hatchbacks and wagons will follow in the years to come, with all new vehicles being designed (for now in Shanghai under the direction of Canadian James Hope, who was recently hired away of GM Europe) to meet European safety and regulatory standards. To rev up Frankfurt showgoers, Chery brought along its low-slung, muscular Tiggo Coupe crossover concept. Planned for autonomous drive, like nearly every new show car, this one aims to lure in millenials with a steering wheel that folds and becomes a game controller during autopilot mode. A vibrating seat aims to provide a vivid 4-D gaming experience. Chery plans to heavily target young people who are less brand conscious. Geely Chinese megabrand Geely, owner of Volvo, purchased the London Taxi Company from receivers in 2013, and the resulting sub-brand LEVC is now rolling out its next-gen “London Cab” and hoping to extend sales throughout Europe (hence the presentation of the TX eCity cab in German taxi beige). They are being built near Coventry in the first new assembly plant to be built in England in 10 years. The range-extended electric vehicle can travel 80 miles on an electric charge, after which a Volvo 1.5-liter I-3 engine kicks in and extends the range to 400 miles. The rear compartment is taller and roomier than the current black cab, with seating for six (three in rear-facing jump seats). Wi-Fi connectivity and both USB and 12-volt charging sources are provided for passengers, and there’s a panoramic sunroof. Deliveries begin in October at a price of 55,000 British pounds ($72,600). The vehicle is not homologated for U.S. sale. The post 6 Automakers From China and Elsewhere That Surprised in Frankfurt appeared first on Motor Trend.

Future Skoda Octavia RS 2021 245 hp rechargeable hybrids
Future Skoda Octavia RS 2021 245 hp rechargeable hybrids
Future Skoda Octavia RS 2021 245 hp rechargeable hybrids
The future Skoda Octavia RS is approaching. To renew itself, she intends to switch to rechargeable hybridization. But a lot of questions arise ...
Future Skoda Octavia RS (2021) - The most endearing of the Czechs is about to return to the front of the stage, during the renewal of the Octavia range , both sedan and station wagon.
In station wagon and sedan
The next opus of Octavia, fifth of the name , if we consider the very first generation (1959-1971), is for very soon. By the end of 2019, Skoda should lift the veil on one of the favorite sedans of taxi drivers , not to mention its declination break. A vision, it is true, a little reductive for the one who, in spite of its not very advantageous physique, knew how to gain its letters of nobility thanks to its survitaminée version . A line badged RS, appeared in 2001 on the sedan, then in 2003 on the break baptized Combi.
Rechargeable Techno Hybrid
To continue this tradition with flying colors, the future Skoda Octavia RS will modernize its bowels, in order to lower its CO2 emissions. More politically correct, it will use the rechargeable hybrid technology inaugurated at Skoda by the restyled Superb . But the question remains as to the platform that will lead this future Octavia.
Which platform?
For, at first, it was rumored that the Czech sedan was going to renew its current base MQB, in an improved configuration , as will benefit very soon the new Golf 8 . But the first stolen photos of the prototypes of Octavia 5 are of a silhouette very close to that of the recent Scala , a compact length of 4.36 m. However, the latter is based on an elongated technical base of Volkswagen Polo and Seat Ibiza , called MQB A0, and a priori incompatible with rechargeable hybridization. It would be satisfied, in the long term, with a simple 48V light hybridization.
A power equal to the current
Anyway, it was recently learned, through our fellow British Autocar, that the future Octavia RS will combine a 1.5 TSI block of 150 hp with a 75 kW electric motor, to cumulate the 245 ch promised . An oath partly made by the concept Vision RS , revealed at the last World Cup in Paris in October 2018. It announced both the arrival of rechargeable hybridization, but also the silhouette of the Scala.
A basement of Scala?
We can therefore doubt the use, for this future Skoda Octavia, the platform MQB A0 Polo and Ibiza (about 4.05 m long), already stretched to its maximum to give birth to the Scala (4.36 m) . Because the future sedan must at least show the length of the current Octavia (4.67 m) to look good in the field of livability. Logically, the classical MQB bedrock remains essential.
Octavia RS Hybrid Price
If the commercialization of the new Octavia sedan and station wagon will take place at the beginning of 2020, it will be necessary to wait until 2021 for their RS versions to emerge . Unfortunately, it is feared a significant inflation rate, compared to the current sports, because of the expensive technology PHEV. It will be necessary to count on at least 44511.60 $.

Blu Smart Electric Taxi, Hyundai Kona launch, DC Fast chargers, Solar Power : PluginIndia Delhi trip
The PluginIndia crew felt the complete blast of the Indian EV transformation throughout our latest trip to Delhi/NCR, which is the area the place we observe large funding within the EV area and most disruption attributable to electrical automobiles. We noticed electrical Rickshaws in all places, together with from organized gamers like Smart-E. We travelled throughout NCR in an electrical taxi by a startup known as Blu Smart. We then had been invited by the Hyundai team for the launch of first All-Electric SUV in India – The Hyundai Kona. We then additionally visited a consumer who has put in a 5 kW solar energy system at his residence and prices his electrical car utilizing Solar!
Blu Smart Electric Taxi Blu Smart is a startup primarily based out of Gurgoan and so they have launched trip hailing companies utilizing solely a fleet of Mahindra eVerito sedans. We contacted the founders Mr Anmol Jaggi and Mr Punit Goyal and requested them if they will present us their cabs for two days and so they agreed!
The Blu Smart crew launched India’s 1st all electrical fleet of cabs in Delhi NCR in Jan 2019. As of July 2019, they’ve a fleet of 70 electrical vehicles and a community of 15 charging stations throughout NCR. By the top of 2019, they plan to broaden upto 800 electrical vehicles and 100 charging stations in NCR and Mumbai places.
Here are some observations from our crew of the Blu Smart service
In their fleet, they’ve the brand new technology Mahindra eVerito Electric Sedan that has Airbags, ABS and a greater performing drivetrain.
The Blu Smart eVerito cab picked us up from the Delhi Airport. The state of cost was 88% within the eVerito. We had been 5 of us together with the driving force with a lot of baggage within the boot. We reached Buddh International Circuit – 60 km away, with SOC at 44% with AC in full blast and full load. This proved that the 2019 eVerito is certainly performing brilliantly.
They had a big facility at Greater Noida with 4 DC quick chargers and lots of eVeritos parked there.
Blu Smart has put in 15 DC quick charging stations in strategic places throughout Delhi, NCR. One cool concept by the crew was to put in these DC quick chargers at basement ranges in malls and different business locations. This allows them to make the most of unused spots and in addition defend the car from the solar and excessive warmth whereas quick charging the batteries.
The operation crew we spoke to, had been very pleased with the fleet of eVeritos.
The android app in lots of elements of Delhi at all times threw up an error message about no obtainable cabs, every time we tried it. This reveals the 70 odd fleet of cabs are busy.
We additionally requested some individuals on the street about their data on Blu Smart and most didn’t know, so we requested them to obtain the app!
Also the crew had well mannered drivers who drove the cabs responsibly.
Overall a unbelievable service for Delhi and shortly in Mumbai. Sitting in a silent electrical car for metropolis journeys will turn into a actuality quickly for a lot of city Indians and we’re tremendous completely satisfied to strive them in 2019.
Hyundai Kona launch So the PluginIndia crew had been in contact with the Hyundai crew for a lot of months and so they had been completely satisfied to provide us passes for the Hyundai media occasion on July ninth on the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida Some observations on the occasion
We met some very educated individuals at Hyundai who actually appreciated the work PluginIndia does and gave a lot of their time to us speaking to us concerning the car, giving us a car for a video shoot, drive and so on.
Hyundai has RnD groups in Faridabad and different locations the place they deal with Electric mobility, Indianising parts and so on
The Hyundai crew confirmed us their long run imaginative and prescient for EV’s with many electrical vehicles deliberate by 2025 for Indian market.
We got a possibility to drive the Hyundai Kona in a formulation 1 race monitor!
The first time – Abhishek, Ashish and myself sat within the Kona, was a unbelievable expertise. The Regen was not like something we have now skilled earlier than with the e2o or eVerito.
The interiors felt like an area ship particularly with the therapeutic quietness inside.
We hardly really feel something inside, even going at 100 kmph or extra. The stability and dealing with of the Kona is unbelievable.
We felt the engineering, the standard of parts, the texture of driving was one other degree in comparison with EV’s we use now.
Watch our preview video of Hyundai Kona Electric SUV
youtube
Solar Power System in NCR We converse to an proprietor of a solar energy system at Faridabad – Mr Hemant Who spoke about his 5 kw solar energy system at his residence and still have unbelievable tips about the right way to get a photo voltaic system in Delhi / NCR. The video interview will come out in PluginIndia YouTube channel. Stay tuned!
Final Words Just 2 or three years again, we by no means thought we might see electrical taxis or a full fledged electrical SUV from Hyundai or DC quick charging infrastructure for electrical vehicles and in 2019 all of this can be a actuality. As i stated, the PluginIndia crew actually felt the complete blast of the EV transformation and this can solely get greater and greater within the coming years. Let the trip start!
