Canvas Kids

Last Friday I had the chance to devote some time towards our youth. It was my pleasure to be present especially in a time where Role Models are scarce, there’s a much larger generational gap that’s continuingly growing. These kids are smarter, more advanced than ever before at their age.

I visited Andrew Jackson Academy in Suitland MD. I was born and raised in Prince George’s County and a product of Prince George’s County Public Schools. Coming back to talk to kids is something I’ve always loved to do, I see myself in these kids and want to see them Get Out Of Negative Situations. That’s what my brand is built on. It’s not only the motto it’s my everyday lifestyle. I’ve been in 200+ schools this year and everyone I’ve been in I’ve seen a little bit of me in one of those kids. If I had a degree I would probably be teaching, but that’s a different story for a different day.

I wanted to teach the Kids about branding and the importance of logos and marketing. As well as a quick print and press of some ski masks they designed and got to keep. The excitement of getting to create something and keep it was electric in there. They learned about my brand and my artwork and I learned about their goals and aspirations and future brands. Truly can’t thank Vitt enough for the opportunity to visit her Canvas Kids and learn just as much as I taught.

This weekend I sold my first NFT!

As you may have noticed in the past 8 months I’ve dived headfirst into cryptocurrency and NFT art. Fascinated by the technology of it all, the creative possibilities, and the opportunity to make money off my art. Perfecting my craft creating 1 of 1 artworks using AR capable apps and experimenting with different styles to express my art. Well this weekend it all came to fruition when NFT collector Anthony Dellarte believed in my art so much that he purchased my “the Fireman” Lil Wayne NFT at 2 SOL on Solsea.io.

A moment I will never forget because in that instance this whole NFT artist title i’ve been manifesting became real to me. Not only has he fueled my creativity in this realm for years to come but he’s also been super helpful with developing my Discord, and become a sort of consult as I grow my collection and following. He’s been on Discord longer and helps mod some other Discord servers so Im just learning as much as I can from him as possible, even giving him a GANG leader role on the Discord to keep it running properly. Already setting up welcome bots and other characteristics that these bigger Discords have. I am forever grateful for his help and support even though we have never met or had a conversation, just emails and Discord convo.

Isn’t that amazing that someone you’ve never met can believe in you and support your dreams. Thats what G.O.O.N.S. is all about, Getting Out Of Negative Situations, and Growing A New Generation (G.A.N.G.). Connecting the Dots, making progress, helping each other grow and Succeed.

Everyday but Sunday Me and Eli have been hosting morning workouts in the garage to stay fit and healthy during this pandemic. Started with just us and Tim and gradually John and Tae became regulars as well. Having the gang around definitely motivates me to keep going and to have fun with it.

Passion and Purpose

Once I found my passion in fashion I started my business, but once I began to use my brand in helping others and teaching kids and working within my community, I found my purpose. The energy and positive vibrations from working with some foster kids and local teens this weekend was extraordinary. I feel like I really impacted some lives and related to some kids who needed a little push in the right direction. I may not be the greatest role model but telling my story and how I overcame some of my obstacles in life gives hope to those that may feel hopeless in their journey. Talking with kids that are just as lost as I was at their age and letting them know it will all work out if you focus on the positive and follow your passions, made me feel like I made the right decisions in life and to continue striving for greatness and giving back to my community. I think Will Smith said it better in the video below. I definitely can relate to wanting to be the greatest Designer in the world being in business for 7 years and tasting that kind of success but nothing really compares to working with the youth and helping others realize their potential. Thank you again Shari for inviting me and introducing me to your kids and their mentors.

My first week back on social media has been eventful to say the least. Last night on Zel’s Instagram Live show we found the throat goat 🗣🐐! Trump’s started a war with Iran and they’re literally going back n forth on Twitter with threats and throwing up their sets. Of course black Twitter is making jokes and I can’t lie they are hilarious with the WW3 anecdotes. But I think these niggas serious, I translated the Iranian leader tweet and he ain’t bullshittin lol. Either way it goes it’s out of my control no need to worry about it, I can’t get drafted in the war and Accokeek far enough from the city for me to really be stressing… god bless tho. Also had an interview this week for a fashion styling position with Amazon 👀 and a photoshoot with Jordan for some new G.O.O.N.S. Sweatsuits! It’s definitely goin up this year and there’s only time for positive energy. Moving with intention and leaving the talking on the blog. All action and you’re either with me or in the way, its that simple. But let’s celebrate the fact Cuzzo has sold out another live live show in a hour for the third straight show! All Organically! Honestly never seen nothing like it, my boy is a star and the whole world gonna know soon enough! Seen him go from IG lives with just us in that joint to 780 views yesterday! Community Outreach and Giving back is something I am very adamant about because so often we the for granted how blessed we are and how easily it is to become homeless in a society that outcasts the unfortunate and poverty stricken. The average american is one hospital bill away from being homeless. Reasons why lobbying for universal free health care is important and a human necessity not just for the wealthy. Furthermore the temperatures in the DC/MD area are dropping earlier into the fall/winter season and it is BRICK outside today which gave me the motivation to kick off this movement. With all that being said, I still need you guys’ help finding 100 Homeless people to donate to. Whether it be a friend, family member, or just your favorite homeless person you help out from time to time, I want to meet them if possible and understand their stories in hopes to help anyway I can. Role Model: Salehe Bembury

This Week’s (Yes Im bringing back weekly role models) Role Model is Head Designer of Sneakers for Versace and Versus Versace, Salehe Bembury. You may recognize him from 2chainz Instagram feed as the designer of the widely celebrated Versace x 2chainz “Chain Reaction” shoe. A shoe that has sport feel but also luxury details and state of the art design. Salehe also noted to design footwear for YEEZY’s SZN 3 and 4 and introducing the world to Cole Haan’s Lunar Grand, a shoe I fell in love with Interning in Nordstrom’s Mens shoe Dept. A dress shoe with a runners sole and possibly the most comfortable dress shoes I ever slid on. Furthermore Salehe is a minority in charge of one of the most iconic fashion houses sneaker division. GOALS as Fuck! He’s creating on a level I dream to be on one day and will be in due time.

Salehe Bembury is a creative by trade. He is most notably making his mark in the world of footwear design. Since 2009, he has applied his Industrial Design degree and interdisciplinary design skills to a diverse array of footwear brands. Salehe got his start at Payless Shoe Source.

Notoriety has become more and more prevalent in my success factors these days, as much as I love knowing ever single person who has a piece from my brand and love the underground feel of it, I also want kids all over to be G.O.O.N.S. just as much as my friends. The struggle of getting it out the mud is you don’t want to share your prized possession that you built up with anyone you deem unworthy, but the smallest coincidences give me hope that someone out there is paying attention. Whether it be an RT from one of my Role Models, or actually holding a convo with someone in a position i see myself in, in the future. I feel myself right on the cusp of it all. I want the world to take notice to what I’ve got cooking up over here at GoonMilk. The Hypebeasts, Highsnobiety’s, the W Mag’s of the world need to take notice and soon. But until then I will continue to create and give the props to those who inspire me to keep going and chasing these goals. One day at a time.

What the hell is Discord? and Why should I join yours?

My exact thoughts when I received my first discord invite for a cryptocurrency community peddling NFTs. I know a lot of you, like me, have this same thought when I’m promoting joining the G.O.O.N.S. Discord. But essentially its a community like twitter is a social media community, Discord is like a more focused twitter community If I had to explain it in layman’s terms. A focus group of some sort that gathers people who have the same interest. Most are used to promote an NFT collection, Most have connections to Crypto, NFT’s, and different groups of people all over the world communicating together about a specific subject matter. The community usually dictates the direction of the product, or NFT collection. Members-Only vibes if you will…

My first engagement with Discord happened to be with the Nifty’s Matrix NFT’s that dropped last month that generated almost 300,000 people wanting 100,000 NFTs and a shitstorm of waiting for the release, waiting in line to be able to purchase (Mint), and finally collecting the Matrix NFT’s in which I had to hack the Nifty’s site finding a loophole in their trying to accommodate those who were in line and those just finding out about the collection’s release. I minted 4 total at $50 a piece, and plan on holding on for dear life until I see some major profit in the marketplace for them. Some are comically listed for 99 million dollars and others as cheap as $90. Either way it was worth it learning how crazy a release can get, what a whitelist is, and the probability of Minting a high demand NFT.

My favorite Discord Server is the Krypto Kronikz Discord, simply because they were the most welcoming, gave the most information and are growing their community organically using crypto giveaways, incentivized invites, and NFT’s that are cool, collectible, and planned out perfectly to make a profit in the near future. Ive minted 2 Kronikz already and upon the end of Mint today every kronik you mint will be airdropped a match to make baby kronkiz so like a buy one get one free situation that will yield another free NFT. Minting a Kronik at 1 SOL and listing them in the marketplace at 50 SOL is a 50x profit if sold. Its crazy but something we’re seeing in the NFT world happen everyday! “Whales” or large investors minting 25 NFT’s at once to build their collections. I credit the Krypto Kronikz because Without the KK Discord I wouldn’t know any of this and that’s why it is important to join these discords and understand what the community is planning and building behind these NFT collections and why people would spend so much to become apart of these NFT communities.

Don’t be fooled by these Celebrity backed projects with no celebrity engagement in the discord. Most celebrities don’t have a clue what an NFT is and are late adopters like the rest of the world. Researching the community joining the discords and engaging with the Developers and community enthusiast in the discord is the only sure way I know not to get fooled into minting a NFT that isn’t worth the mint price let alone the hype of a what if profit on the backend. Cryptocurrency and NFT’s being so new there are a lot of people taking advantage of those who don’t do their research and just buy anything with a name attached to it.

Dont be that guy.
