DHONI THE UNTOLD STORY
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, popularly known as MS Dhoni, is an Indian professional cricketer. Born on July 7, 1981, in Ranchi (which was part of Bihar and is now in Jharkhand), Dhoni has left an indelible mark on the cricketing world. Let’s delve into his remarkable journey
Personal information Full name Mahendra Singh Dhoni Batting Right-handed Bowling Right-arm medium RoleWicket-keeper-batter
Accidental introduction to cricket
As a child, Dhoni was always into sports. He was a district-level badminton and football player. His football coach sent him to fill the position of a wicketkeeper on the school cricket team. He played well and soon bagged a permanent place in the group. This ignited his passion for cricket. Dhoni started focussing more on cricket after his 10th grade. He was very passionate about cricket and wanted to prove himself in this sport His father was not very fond of his son’s growing interest in cricket. He was of the view that there is no future in sports. However, Dhoni was clear-sighted about what he wanted for himself. He struggled against the rigid opposition from his father for prioritizing cricket over studies. But he was confident about chasing his dreams. So, going against his father’s wishes, Dhoni fulfilled his dreams instead. After that, he became a part of the Commando Cricket Club and an Under-16 championship. After this point, he pursued cricket seriously, but life had other plans for him.
Breakthrough
The next match was his shot. Luck played in his favor the next time as he was selected for the Pakistan series. In the second match of the series, he scored a massive 148 off 123 to finally establish himself as a known face of the team. After that, there was no looking back. There were a lot more to come. This was the start, and he went ahead to make the most of his hard work and talent. His immense talent gained recognition, and he led the Indian team to the ICC World Twenty 20 Trophy in South Africa. Team India successfully won the trophy by defeating the Pakistani team. He accomplished his talent and made a mark for him self. Dhoni is the only captain to win the ICC Trophy, ODI World Cup, and Champions Trophy. His leadership is something that is celebrated across the country. Fans regard Dhoni as one of the greatest captains the team has seen. Despite his massive popularity, people knew him as a calm, cool, and composed persona. It must be because he has seen life getting hard and that aggression does not lead to rational decisions.
MS Dhoni’s achievements
In 2009, Dhoni was also awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honor. In 2011, Dhoni etched his name on the list of 100 most influential people in the world through his persistent efforts and hard work. He was also awarded the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award in the country, on Apr. 2, 2018.After winning the Cricket World Cup in 2011, film director Neeraj Pandey decided to make a biopic on the life and achievements of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The film, titled MS Dhoni: Untold Story – MS Dhoni The Untold Story, became a blockbuster hit and won the heart of many fans.Besides being a great cricketer, MS Dhoni is also a connoisseur of cars and bikes. He has a collection of many expensive cars and bikes. Some of his luxurious cars are Ferrari 599 GTO, Audi Q7, SUV Hummer H2, Land Rover Freelander 2, and Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Apart from this, Dhoni also has a collection of expensive bikes including Confederate Hellcat X132 and Superbike Kawasaki Ninja H2. On Aug. 15, 2020, Dhoni retired from all forms of International Cricket.MS Dhoni is also the Captain of Chennai Super Kings in IPL and has already won the trophy four times. He was rumored to play his last IPL game in 2021, but he brushed those rumors away. Recently, in 2022 he stepped down from the captaincy of CSK and handed it over to Jadeja. He is expected to play T20 cricket in 2023 too.

New Jeep Models on the Horizon
Fiat Chrysler America announced plans earlier this week for a substantial investment in U.S. based manufacturing. The planned $4.5 billion expense was made with an eye towards expanding the production and model lineup of the Jeep and Ram brands. FCA has since hinted at some future plans for Jeep.
Jeep is expected to further its foray into the full-sized SUV market with a Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. Both models are slated to hit showrooms in 2021. Jeep fans looking for third row seating will have their hopes fulfilled even sooner. An unnamed large SUV will debut in the 2020 model year.
The new SUV is a direct beneficiary of the massive investment announced for facilities in and around Detroit. The new 2020 SUV will be manufactured alongside the Grand Cherokee at the soon to be renovated Mack Avenue Complex in Detroit. The Jeep Commander, a three row SUV currently sold in China, could give consumers a hint of what to expect from the new 2020 SUV.
FCA’s recent American investments will also allow for Jeep to offer more hybrid and fully electric models in the coming years. Jeep fans should be on the lookout for new model information.
If you’re interested in learning more about the new upcoming Jeeps, or to test drive a Gladiator or Wrangler, contact the friendly sales force at https://www.rochesterhillschryslerjeep.net/ in Rochester Hills, Michigan.

The City of Detroit and FCA Seek Artists to Paint One of the Largest Municipal Art Installations in Detroit's History
This Valentine’s Day, FCA will join Detroit’s Office of Arts, Culture and Entrepreneurship and City Walls Detroit murals program in showing the city some love. FCA and the City will issue a global open call to artists to create murals that will comprise one of the largest municipal art installations in Detroit’s history.
City Walls Detroit has worked with FCA to identify the canvases for the murals near FCA’s new auto assembly plant. FCA announced in February that it would invest $1.6 billion to convert two existing Mack Avenue facilities into a new assembly site for an all-new, three-row, full-size Jeep® SUV and the next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. FCA also will invest $900 million at Jefferson North to retool and modernize the plant for continued production of Dodge Durango and next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee.
In total, the move will create 4,950 new jobs.
The Canvases for the Mural Project:
The North Wall, which runs along Beniteau Street, immediately across from Southeastern High School
The South Wall, located at Beniteau Street and Kercheval Avenue, faces a new stormwater park that includes a walking path, pollinator gardens and an educational pavilion
When the project is completed, Detroit’s east side will have one of the largest municipal mural installations in the region at 15 feet high by 1,500 feet long.
“Our commitment to this city goes well beyond our facility,” said Mark Stewart, Chief Operating Officer of FCA - North America. “We (FCA, the City of Detroit and residents) have a shared responsibility for the neighborhood around the new plant. These murals will reflect the values and identity of the community and our shared vision for a positive future.”
The Goals for the Mural Project are:
To ensure that the design represents both the rich history and bright future of Detroit’s eastside neighborhoods and engage its residents, especially students, in creating the mural’s design
To create a mural that leads residents and FCA to partner on further beautification efforts
To create art that has both educational and aesthetic value
To create art that reflects the values and identity of the community
In an effort to ensure that the mural reflects the culture and identify of Detroit’s eastside neighborhoods, the City and FCA is engaging local residents, especially students, in creating the mural’s design. Residents of both the Beniteau and Lillibridge communities, and students at Southeastern High School and Detroit Enterprise Academy, will help select a theme for the mural installation. City Walls Detroit will issue the open call and details about the application and selection process will be on the City Walls website on February 14, 2020.
The selection committee will choose an artist or team by June 1, 2020. The project is expected to be completed by October 30, 2020.
“This wonderful gift from FCA is just another example of how much arts and culture are alive and well and thriving here,” said Rochelle Riley, the City’s Director of Arts and Culture. “And even more great things are coming in Detroit, where the arts are a way of life.”
The mural project is part of the Community Benefits Agreement between FCA and the City of Detroit, a partnership that provides more than $35 million in support for neighborhood improvements, housing, workforce development, education and training programs, and environmental initiatives. For more information, contact John Roach at City Hall at [email protected] or 313-244-7857 or Rochelle Riley at 313-720-1016 or [email protected]. Artists should contact Zachary Meers at [email protected].

2021 Dodge Durango to get surprisingly hefty refresh?
The Dodge Durango may be on its way out as a new three-row Jeep Grand Cherokee goes into production, but it’s apparently going to stick around for a while—and get a hefty refresh along the way. It’s possible that the Durango may even continue for a few years, as a serious tow SUV that undercuts the future Jeep Wagoneer by thousands of dollars. At least, that’s what AutoBisonclaims, and they take…

Atlanta, GA (January 10, 2020) – On Friday afternoon around 3:30 p.m., a police chase took place leading to a car accident on I-75 in Atlanta.
The accident, according to authorities, involved multiple vehicles and closed down some of the southbound lanes of the highway. Georgia State Patrol officials chased after a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was headed at 100 mph on the highway near Akers Mill Road.
When police attempted to make a traffic stop, the driver sped away from them. The vehicle then struck multiple vehicles on the Interstate. Police claim that a total of five vehicles were struck as a result.
One person got out of the vehicle and ran across the southbound lanes where they jumped over the median wall.
Two people were injured due to the accident, with one being transported to the hospital.
Lanes were blocked for 45 minutes and then reopened. Police continue their investigation.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.

The 15 Quickest SUVs We’ve Ever Tested
SUVs are built for practicality, but why can’t they also be quick? You might not think it, but plenty of utility vehicles can hold their own in a drag race against a low-slung sports car. Read on to find out the 15 quickest SUVs we’ve ever tested here at MotorTrend.
2011 BMW X6 M
0-60 mph: 4.1 seconds
¼ mile: 12.7 seconds at 110.1 mph
We tested this vehicle quite a while ago, but it’s still one of the quickest SUVs around. The 2011 version made a healthy 555 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque from its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8. You’ll see an updated version of this vehicle further down this list.
2019 Jaguar I-Pace
0-60 mph: 4.0 seconds
¼ mile: 12.5 seconds at 110.1 mph
Tesla isn’t the only company making electric SUVs with exceptional performance. Jaguar made one stunning—and stunningly quick—EV in the form of the I-Pace, which delivers a total of 394 hp and 512 lb-ft of torque. This SUV benefits from excellent high-speed stability, superb handling, and instant power and torque delivery.
2016 Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S Coupe 4Matic
0-60 mph: 3.9 seconds
¼ mile: 12.5 seconds at 110.5 mph
This is one of several coupe SUVs to make the list. Packing a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-8, this vehicle produces a healthy 577 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque. Along with its quiet road manners, it is also highly capable off-road.
2017 Porsche Macan Turbo Performance Pack
0-60 mph: 3.7 seconds
¼ mile: 12.3 seconds at 109.5 mph
In our review, we noted this vehicle is equally at home on the track, on the highway, or even off the beaten path. With the optional Performance package, the Macan Turbo makes 440 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque from its 3.6-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine. Drivers will enjoy its direct steering, brake feel, and canyon carving agility.
2015 BMW X5 M
0-60 mph: 3.7 seconds
¼ mile: 12.2 seconds at 112.8 mph
The X5 M looks like a regular luxury crossover, but under the hood it packs quite a bit of power. The M variant delivers a whopping 567 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque from its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine.
2015 BMW X6 M
0-60 mph: 3.7 seconds
¼ mile: 12.1 seconds at 114.3 mph
Say what you want about its looks, but the X6 can be quite impressive in M guise. Not only is it quick, but we also tested it braking from 60 to 0 mph in just 105 feet. We’ve praised this 567-hp coupe SUV for its quick-shifting eight-speed automatic and surprising cornering ability. The X6 M managed to pull 0.98 g on the skidpad, which is among the highest numbers we’ve recorded for an SUV.
2019 Jaguar F-Pace SVR
0-60 mph: 3.7 seconds
¼ mile: 12.0 seconds at 116.5 mph
The folks at Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations estimated this SUV to hit 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, but we actually clocked it at 3.7. Its 5.0-liter supercharged V-8 engine delivers 550 hp and 502 lb-ft of torque. Subtle indications of its go-fast capabilities include its quad tailpipes, large air intakes, and vents in the hood and front fenders.
2017 Bentley Bentayga (European Spec)
0-60 mph: 3.5 seconds
¼ mile: 11.9 seconds at 117.1 mph
Bentley helped usher in a new era of ultra-luxury SUVs when it unveiled the Bentayga in 2015. Its sturdy 6.0-liter twin-turbo W-12 produces 600 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. Our 5,653-pound tester managed to hit 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, making it quick enough to cream a Lamborghini Murcielago. The engine pairs to a silky-smooth eight-speed automatic.
2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Q4 Quadrifoglio
0-60 mph: 3.3 seconds
¼ mile: 11.8 seconds at 116.1 mph
We’ve had our qualms about its build quality, but the Stelvio remains one impressive SUV. In Quadrifoglio guise, the Stelvio makes 505 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque from a 2.9 liter V-6 engine, enough to hit 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. That straight-line performance combined with razor-sharp handling helped the Stelvio Quadrifoglio place eighth in our 2018 Best Driver’s Car competition—ahead of heavyweights like the Corvette ZR1 and Mustang GT Performance Pack 2.
2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk
0-60 mph: 3.3 seconds
¼ mile: 11.7 seconds at 116.2 mph
Want a Dodge Challenger Hellcat in SUV form? Look no further than the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. With 707 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque under the hood, this is no average Grand Cherokee. We clocked this 5,448-pound SUV hitting 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, shaving 0.2 second off of Jeep’s claimed time.
2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
0-60 mph: 3.2 seconds
¼ mile: 11.8 seconds at 115.8 mph
The Cayenne Turbo shares its impressive powertrain with the new Panamera Turbo. Packing a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8, it makes 541 hp and 567 lb-ft of torque. That’s quite an upgrade from the standard Cayenne’s 335 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque.
2016 Tesla Model X P90D (Ludicrous)
0-60 mph: 3.2 seconds
¼ mile: 11.7 seconds at 116.0 mph
The Model X felt like a spaceship from the future when we tested it in 2016, and it pretty much still feels that way today. Our 5,516-pound tester scooted to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, making it quicker than a Ferrari Enzo. Who would expect this kind of performance from a large SUV that seats up to seven passengers? We can’t wait to see what the updated Model X Performance with Ludicrous mode will do.
2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S 4Matic+ Coupe
0-60 mph: 3.2 seconds
¼ mile: 11.7 seconds at 116.5 mph
The GLC 63 S reigns supreme among coupe SUVs. We tested it hitting 60 mph in 3.2 seconds using a powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine making 503 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.
2020 Bentley Bentayga Speed
0-60 mph: 3.1 seconds
¼ mile: 11.5 seconds at 120.7 mph
This year, Bentley is rolling out an even hotter Bentayga. The new Speed version makes 626 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque from its massive 6.0-liter W-12 engine. Top speed is rated a wild 190 mph. The model is available with the largest and most powerful ceramic brakes Bentley has ever used, boasting a maximum braking torque of 4,425 lb-ft.
2019 Lamborghini Urus
0-60 mph: 3.0 seconds
¼ mile: 11.3 seconds at 120.1 mph
Yes, folks, this is the single quickest SUV we have ever tested. Its twin-turbo V-8, which is probably the best-sounding engine of its kind, delivers a proud 641 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough to propel this 4,900-pound SUV to 60 mph in 3 seconds flat and on to a top speed of 189.5 mph. Not only is it fast, but it’s also a capable off-roader.

Chrysler’s Complicated Parentage: Who Owns It Now?
The Chrysler brand has used many of its nine lives to date, but the longtime American brand, which has had many adopted and foreign parents, is still alive. For now.
The Chrysler brand is currently part of FCA US, which is owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. FCA is a dual-headquartered company with the Fiat side of the business based in Turin, Italy, and the former Chrysler Corp. operations based in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Chrysler dates back to 1925, founded by Walter Chrysler, and it is still referred to as part of the Big Three or Detroit Three, referring to General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler.
Chrysler has teetered many times on the edge of a financial cliff. It was on the verge of bankruptcy in the late 1970s and was saved by government loan guarantees worth $1.5 billion that bought time until the release of a surprising savior in secret development: the minivan.
In 1998, in a deal worth $36 billion, Chrysler was acquired by Daimler-Benz of Germany, and the so-called alliance or “merger of equals” was named DaimlerChrysler. It was not a good fit, as the two cultures never really merged—though Daimler-sourced platforms helped make vehicles like the Chrysler 300C, Dodge Charger and Challenger, and Jeep Grand Cherokee much better than their predecessors—and Daimler sold Chrysler in 2007 to Cerberus, a private equity firm in the U.S., for just $7.4 billion.
The financial crisis in 2008 proved devastating for Detroit automakers. Chrysler laid off thousands of white-collar workers, going so far as to unscrew lightbulbs in their empty offices and stopped plowing snow off the top deck of unused parking garages to save money.
Plant closures, shift eliminations, and model line rationalizations were all planned with the loss of thousands more blue-collar workers. Work on future products was mostly curtailed. The few remaining resources were diverted to development of the next-generation Chrysler 300 full-size sedan and the new Jeep Cherokee.
On April 30, 2009, Chrysler filed for bankruptcy. General Motors filed for bankruptcy June 1, and while the government deemed GM too big to fail and had a reorganization plan for the company to exit bankruptcy, government officials were divided as to whether to use government money to save the smaller Chrysler.
In the end, government loans totaling more than $10 billion were provided, and when Chrysler exited bankruptcy, it had a patchwork of owners including the U.S. and Canadian governments, the United Auto Workers pension fund, and Fiat S.p.A. which agreed to supply some of its powertrains and other tech, and also share its CEO, Sergio Marchionne.
In the subsequent years, Fiat gradually acquired shares from the other stakeholders while paying down the government loans. By 2014, Fiat had acquired 100% of Chrysler, which became a full subsidiary of the Italian automaker. A new entity, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, was formed. The Chrysler subsidiary was renamed FCA US. Marchionne remained CEO of the cross-Atlantic empire with a long list of automotive brands, including Chrysler.
Ironically, Chrysler was not considered one of FCA’s core brands and did not get the same level of attention or resources as Jeep or Ram. Once a full-line car brand, Chrysler is now represented by just two models: The aging 300C, whose platform was designed more than a quarter-century ago, and the Pacifica minivan.
The future of the Chrysler brand remains uncertain with yet another parenting change in the works. In December 2019, FCA signed a memorandum of understanding with PSA (to which Chrysler Corporation offloaded its unprofitable European operations in 1979) for the two automakers to merge, with a tentative timetable of late 2020 or mid-2021 for the deal to close.
The still-to-be-named automaker will be the fourth largest in the world, and the expectation is some brands will go away. Chrysler could be one of them.
