As Indonesian who love funkot, especially in Touhou remix, it amuses me that someone on tumblr also know about the genre. What's your first exposure to funkot? And what's your opinion on it?

I don't even remember my first exposure to it at this point, but I've always really enjoyed funkot because it embodies a lot of what I think often ended up being left behind in other modern trance/'core/etc scenes with a very similar sound (read: more shamelessly amateur tracks that aren't structured around rhythm games or cleared samples)

koplo beats just work really well with dancey stuff like that! it's fun and I like it, especially with the new wave that came around through the jcore scene's fascination with it (I've always had a fondness for the trancey side of jcore)

Every few months I am shocked out of my peaceful life by the fact that Japanese VocaFunkot is and continues to remain a thing, and an 8-minute remix might as well be it. The samples make me want to chew glass (positive). Insane how fitting NayutalieN's tuning is for this genre.

music is essential to life, like a second heartbeat. without it, life would lose much of its color. each genre has its own magic, bringing something new to every listener. i love when songs feel easy to enjoy and fit right into my playlists. my go-to genres are rnb, hip-hop, k-pop, pop, rock, metal, and dj funkot—sounds i can listen to all day.

some artists stay on my playlist consistently: keshi, arash buana, adele, sza, aespa, enhypen, boynextdoor, one direction, my chemical romance, avril lavigne, secondhand serenade, lil uzi vert, post malone, travis scott, 5 seconds of summer, neck deep, mac miller.

インドネシア中部の島、スラウェシ島で生まれた音楽『DISKO TANAH』の曲ですって。

インドネシアは、世界最古のポピュラー音楽といわれる” Kroncong（クロンチョン）”や、

オルケス・ムラーユが発展して誕生したポピュラー音楽”Dangdut（ダンドゥット）”��か、

わりと最近では2000年初頭にインドネシアの首都・ジャカルタのコタ地区で誕生した

高速レイヴ・ミュージック”Funkot（ファンコット）”とかオリジナル音楽がありますね･･･

DJ JET BARON（高野政所）「FUNKOT ANTHEM feat.H.B (Japanese Ver.)」

”DISKO TANAH（※読み方不明）”は、インドネシア伝統の音楽・ダンドゥットの要素と、

ディスコやポップ音楽の要素を融合させた音楽、って簡単な説明もありました。が･･･

2010年代中盤～後半にかけて登場した、ファンコットを遅くした”ブレイクビーツ・コタ”の

サブジャンル。音楽的には、インドネシア版Wikiによると’00年代に東ジャワで誕生した

リズムが速い4拍子の音楽、”ダンドゥット・コプロ（Dangdut Koplo）”と･･･

Via Vallen 「Ddu Du Ddu Du」 (Black Pink Koplo Version)

Dangdut Koplo（ダンドゥット・コプロ）と同じ感じのシンコペーションを施したドラムで、

BPMがおよそ130程度、EDMのジャンル”ダッチハウス”のミニマルで高音のシンセの

メロディーが組み込まれたインドネシア産のダンスミュージック、”ジャングル・ダッチ
