Saved By… The Enemy? (The Aftermath - Part 2)

While I'm suffering from a terrible stomach ache, I decided the best way to spend my time is to write a little follow-up to this :"D

When he opened his eyes, he didn't recognize the place he was in: it seemed like some kind of extremely well-kept room, filled with so many luxuries she would only see in the most opulent mansions.

"Where am I?" was the only question that floated through his head, while he made an effort to recover some memory before being there…

The young professor groaned as he felt an intense pain in his head, Friede placed a hand on it in search of relief, instantly noticing the texture of the bandages. He raised his arm, looking at the amount of bandages wrapped around it. While his confused mind tried to understand what was happening, Friede was distracted when he heard a door open at the side of the room, and when he turned, he recognized the figure of the young teenager entering the room, closely followed by his faithful butler, who was carrying a tray full of numerous things…

In truth, this seemed increasingly strange to him.

"Amethio?"

The named man turned around, a mixture of surprise and relief in his violet eyes.

"You're awake."

"Where am I?"

"In my mansion."

Friede blinked slowly, tried to get up to take a better look at the place, and was instantly hit by painful stabs throughout his body, which led him to collapse on the bed with a dry scream, writhing in pain.

"You're too badly hurt to stand up," the young man spoke, barely showing any sympathy. "If you're afraid I've captured you to take you against Spinel, you're quite mistaken."

"What… What happened?"

Amethio approached while the butler, Hamber if he remembered correctly was his name, put down the tray and left the room. Silently, Amethio checked his bandages.

"Rakua completely fell apart. While I was escaping with my allies, we saw you fall along with your Pokémon… My companions went after Charizard and I went to your rescue, but between your strong fall, the strong winds and the fact that we were about to plummet… You…"

"I let go." Friede whispered, illuminated by a vague memory. "Yeah… I remember now… I let go because we were both going to crash."

The young man nodded, adjusting a couple of bandages while cleaning other wounds he didn't allow Friede to see.

"It took me a while to find you. Apparently, your fall wasn't smooth, but you were in one piece… I carried you to a safe place where I stabilized your injuries."

"I didn't know you had medical knowledge."

Amethio finished bandaging him, ignoring his comment.

"Your Charizard is fine, healing slowly. On the other hand, you've been unconscious for a couple of weeks, and your body is still too weak for you to go out and find your allies. As much as it bothers me, it seems you'll stay here until you recover."

"Should I be flattered or threatene-? AHG! CAREFUL!"

He complained, noticing that Amethio had put too much pressure on his bandage.

—I still despise your sense of humor, you know. —he huffed, still tightening the bandage—. "And if I were you, I'd have the common sense not to upset the person trying to heal you. Did you hear me?"

"L-Loud and clear…"

Only then did Amethio release the bandage, while Friede breathed a sigh of relief: lesson learned, he wouldn't upset him short-tempered little doctor.

"Now stop crying and stay still while I finish."

Friede nodded: although she had many questions to ask, she knew Amethio wasn't in the mood to answer a single one of them…

Perhaps it would be best to drop the subject for now, at least, until the dust settles.

How long is your roleplay experience? About 2+ years now likely, with about half a year on indie and the rest from Discord RP (AKA just TOA)

How were you introduced to roleplaying as a whole? Okay this is always a really funny story because when I was around 15 or so I was really getting into Puyo Puyo, both because funny puzzle game but the characters were actually really cool! Then like one of my random friends from that community had the idea for RP/worldbuilding and the rest is history I guess?? I don't do Puyo RP anymore but it was a nice start. c:

How were you introduced to TOA? After my indie experience went down the drain I stayed in contact with most of my close Tumblr FE RP friends and that included gamer N. He told me about TOA a while back before, but I only considered joining really after I started getting used to college life.

Do you have any pets? No, my only pet were like carnival goldfish that....yeah :(

What is your favorite time of year and why? (Season, holiday, general period) Start of spring because while I like the colder seasons I feel sick AGAIN so I think the spring period is just my safest one.

What is your IRL occupation? University student until I learn what the hell I want to do with my life.

Some interests and things you like/enjoy? Small interests in music theory, game design, mathematics, musicals, uh....gaming. Yeah, gaming.

What non-Fire Emblem games do you play? Smash Bros, Splatoon, The World Ends With You, Touhou Project, Trails/Kiseki, Celeste, a lot more Nintendo, honestly insert a lot of roguelikes here

Favorite Pokemon type & Pokemon: I'm such a fake pokemon fan I stopped playing after Gen 6 but the Steel type is cool and Empoleon my beloved.

Tell us some funfacts and trivia about yourself! (Optional bonus challenge: if you filled this out last year, try not to repeat what you said back then!)

1) I have moderated a Touhou gacha server. Am I proud of it? No. 2) I can do a T-spin. I think that's pretty cool 3) I can beat Punch-Out on the Wii in a single session. It's probably easy to do but I love that game okay.

How did you get into Fire Emblem? Brother showed me FE7 on a totally legal GBA and I was like "wow cool!" Also Smash.

What Fire Emblem games have you played? It's on my mun page but I've played every (remade) FE game outside of FE5 (which I'm currently completing), 3 Hopes, and TMS. Quit FEH after like year 2.

First & Favorite Fire Emblem games: First would be both FE7 and Awakening, favorites are FE15, FE9, and (until I lose the adrenaline) FE4.

List your 5 favorite Fire Emblem characters across the series! Okay 5 is a large ask when you say favorites but uhhhhh Mae, Ike, Anna, Flora, Shamir. They can fight over the top 5 spots like a battle royale.

Who was the first character ever to make you go “ooh I like this one in particular” and why? Can be any context and reason! Going off FE7 being my first I'd probably call out Marcus because haha strong earlygame prepromote go zoom. Fortunately that almost works depending on the FE game.

Any Fire Emblem crushes? 😳 Ayra. Yeah.

If you’ve played (or are familiar with) the following games, who was your first S support? Who would you S support nowadays? I don't really care much for the S Support mechanic so I'm just writing these to call out my tastes. If you were a Fire Emblem character, what would be your class and stats? Would you be playable? I don't want to be one but I'd likely be some armor class with axes or swords. I'd be playable with really middling stats so I'm either benched or the subject of a FE video essay on "why splorgius the axe knight is UNDERRATED???"

Who was your first TOA muse? If you no longer have them, can you see yourself picking them up again? Mae, and I honestly could see it but only if other muses weren't picking so hard at my brain right now.

Do you believe you have a type of character you gravitate towards writing? (If you filled this out last year, has this changed in any way?) N has called me out for my sadgirl schtick, and...yeah. I think I've strayed from women that outright have traumatic moments define them, but it definitely is a sore spot in their lives. Unless you're Yuzu. You'd win.

Do you have characters or types of characters you don’t think you can handle writing, but wish you could? So this used to be like any single noble muse due to the inevitable struggle of writing around politics but I think Citrinne has been doing well sooooo let's just go with what the people want. Neku the male does not think he can write other men.

What kind of scenes, situations etc do you believe you enjoy writing the most? (If you filled this out last year, has this changed in any way?) I still don't feel like I gravitate toward any real scenario but nowadays I have gotten less scared of dialogue to the point where I enjoy moments that allow muses to just talk to one another and bounce off each other.

Do you have any scenario in mind for your muse(s) that gets you thinking “man I hope I get to write this one day”? Nothing sticks to my mind right now for Citrinne; for Yuzu I need her mind to implode from Fates' route shenanigans; for Lene I need her to meet her mother :)

Favorite TOA-related memories? At this point it'd be Ball 2024 and Happyland since those are my most recent event memories. The mini-event I did with Sonya was very precious too.

Present or past tense? Try my darnest to keep it to present and I'm so sorry when it flops.

Normal size text, small text, no preference? I prefer to keep it to normal text when writing on my own end, never really saw the point for small, but I don't mind what others use.

Have I written them? Yes...only some. I've written right person, wrong time in a Jeanlisa fic I've posted. The other tropes, I do have drafts on them but never continued (just scared to mess up the characters really)

N: Any fic ideas brewing that you'd care to share?

My most prominent fandoms (The ones I'm writing docs about) do have some ideas! I have two ideas for a Genshin fanfiction and around three (?) For Naruto.

For Genshin Impact fic ideas:

Jean meets librarian, Lisa in the library she works with. They talk for a while, exchanged numbers and started to see each other. One day, Jean noticed Lisa wasn't there. Worried, she called Lisa up to find out she's sick. Visiting her place, she keeps her company. Jean then discovers that Lisa had an old bucket list she wrote during her years in college and promises Lisa that they'll try their best to finish the bucket list before Lisa's clock runs out. (F/F, Jeanlisa, Modern Au)

Kamisato Ayaka has an image to maintain as the eldest daughter of the Kamisato clan and as a member of the Yashiro commission. That is until during the night of her celebration where she meets a very particular and extroverted woman who just has a love for fireworks, Yoimiya. (F/F, Ayamiya, Nobility x Commoner)

For Naruto fic ideas:

Based on this lovely post. In which, Nara Shikamaru is a simple deer farmer who in a twist of faith is introduced to Suna's princess, ambassador, and advisor to the current Kazekage (is it even possible? But it's Temari, no surprises), Temari. Idk what happens next (actually , I don't know what will happen or how can I continue on it) on but I would like to have a dramatic scene in the rain or something. (F/M, Shikatema, Nobility x Commoner)

Yamanaka Ino finds a new professional make-up artist in her team. Well, more of their old one quitted and a new one has to fill it in. Enter Sai, a new and upcoming make-up artist, who finds himself working in her team of make-up artists for a movie she is a part of. (F/M, InoSai, Celebrity AU)

Hyuga Hinata enters a flowershop she always go to for her flowers she uses on set as a photographer and as someone who sells resin flowers. Only for her to come out with her old feelings rushing back in for the cashier, the man she hasn't in years, Uzumaki Naruto. (F/M, Naruhina, Flowershop AU, Friends to Strangers to Friends to Lovers) (Funfact: I thought of this fic because I realized there isn't much flowershop au Naruto fics and I've read much everything on AO3)

If I'm being honest, I might never write these ideas.

Not much but here are some:

Miscommunication

Romanticization of things that shouldn't be romanticized in the first place

Unplanned pregnancies (especially if they don't serve any need to the story)

I know there's more but those three really ticks me off the most.

X: How would you categorized your fanfic reading? Are you a voracious reader? Do you pick and choose? Somewhere in between?

- It depends. It depends on the fandom, on the trope, on my mood, etc. Usually, I'd say "oh I'll read anything so long as it doesn't make me uncomfortable" and it's true most of the time. Sometimes, I can be very picky on what to read, I read the tags, I check what people say, I check if it's recommended to me or if I found it by pure luck. And sometimes, I don't read the tags (I forget to read angst tags the most) and just read.

Ahhgg, car trips can be a drag sometimes 😭 I'm pretty sure I haven't taken one since I've graduated so about 3 years tbh, I'm always driving these days so I get a little more car sick as a passenger. But I used to enjoy them a lot when I was younger! 😩

i don't actually drive so im always a passenger dhdhdhddh so really i just play pretend at being a navigator but like we using a gps so-

oh im a fantasy lover i love magic and monsters and scifi stuff too! bonus points if the protag is a black girl and double points if shes black and gay but thats my criteria for regular books when its fanfic i like sickfics and injury ones like im an angst girl i love me a major character death and i want my fave to suffer... on the lighter side i like fake dating like so much like SO MUCH i still like magic aus too but ill read alotta stuff as long as nobody pregnant and like the fic has to BE SUPER well written for me to even THINK of touching a kid fic with a 10ft pole

like when i get into an ao3 tag i got a full blown system like first i do my favorite character depending on the size of the archive ill either filter it to just angst or the specfic type then read thru back to front once being selective then twice with lower standards and then a third time with desperation. then once ive done that i take off the angst tag and just leave all my exclude this filters on and just do the above with their entire archive. after that i do the same with the relationship i have identified as my favorite

its a proven system i miss very lil fics that way.... anyway

switches are fun! i actually have quite a few games onnit its nice to have a portable console and when u get games like botw onnit u can have good time sinks that are worth the money spent on it and btw.... u can get skyrim on it dgsnszhdn p sure

ehe~ there are video essays that are still really good that are under 40 mins or 30 mins even if several hours is really hard to do. i like ToonrificTariq he does cartoon analysis and theyre normally on that shorter side!

i wasnt necessarily good at knitting like i was really baysic at it tbh i just taught myself the very baysic knit stitch and i think how to do the reverse purl one maybe im still unsure if i actually did it.... funfact i taught myself while i was binge watching game of thrones (when it was still cool) so i missed the entirety of the first season cuz i was focused on my knitting but by the time i got to s2 i could knit reliably with out looking so i actually started watching the show.
