Do swerfs seriously don't find it a little bit suspicious that most (or the most popular) anti sex work advocates have never been sex workers and have never even been in a position where they had to consider it?

Like seriously, every time one recommends a book or an article (trying to change my mind about sex work) it's always written by someone who is and has always been (upper) middle class

And yet... When I look for articles and books that are pro sex work you know what I find? That most of them are written by sex workers.

I'm yet to find an organization that supports sex workers that isn't led by sex workers, but I've found plenty of swerf organizations that aren't led by sex workers

Please, use your brain because I know that tiktok hasn't completely melted it yet, you wouldn't ask a football player for advice on ballet, so why are y'all getting your opinions on sex work from people who have never even considered doing it?

Sex positive means sex positive.

It does not mean positive only to men.

It doesn't mean you can do whatever you want regardless of the consequences of others.

It must be positive for women.

It must be positive to queers

It must not harm children.

It must respect consent.

Sex positivity removes a lot of rules that are designed to control people on the behalf of powerful men and replace them with rules designed to keep people safe.

The reason why rape is so evil is because the rate that it causes PTSD. It permently changes your world view. I learned this the hard way when someone in my apartment building tried to sexually assault me.

Calling anything that does not have this effect on people rape is infantilization to sexual assault survivors.

Having a onlyfans page is not comparable to being forcibly violated.

Being a porn star is not comparable to being forcibly violated.

Being a full service sex worker is not comparable about being possibly violated.

In fact it is sexual predator who views sex workers as easy targets where a lot of this trauma comes from. They reason why SWs are viewed is easy target is because of the stigma behind being a SW.

Not only that but people who employ sex workers can abuse workers for the same reasons. Meaning they get away with alot more worker exploitation then what is normal in capitalism.

So in other words anti SW ideology, violent men and capitalism is where the trauma comes from not being a sex worker itself.

My guy, you are literally just projecting your own ideas about sex workers onto this. There's no reason to think of being a sex worker as a bad thing, it's a happy life for many people, and when it's not it's useally for the same reasons why other jobs aren't.

I dream of a world where being a sex worker is safe and destigmatized enough so that's it's an aspiration.

You have no right to question why I am the gender that I am.
