VOLTAGE TIME ok so obligatory Papa Volt retread just to get him out of the way. OK now that Papa Volt is done let's move on to the other guys.

18-Volt

-Doing him first because he's my favorite. Anyways 18-volt is an awesome kid because

-Like most other children in Warioware, he has kind of a lonely family situation. He's only ever talked about his mom, who is away a lot as he is able to play video games late into the night unsupervised (unlike the ever-vigilant 9-volt). So it seems like he is kind of a latchkey kid most of the time.

-As a result, he ends up sleeping over 9-volt's house a lot, and he's also kind of glommed onto 5-volt as a friend to boot ("Hi 9-Volt's Mom"). They both canonically have a passion for gardening, so I can imagine they bond over that and she gives him gardening advice and whatnot. Maybe if NINE VOLT wasn't afraid of getting his hands dirty he could join in the fun but alas

-Because of his growth condition, he's gotten a lot of shit in school in the past. As such, he is extremely quick to come to the defense of kids in need; he stood up to 13-amp when she was picking on ralphie, and then extended an olive branch to 13-amp when he realized she was just a troubled kid. This also mirrors how 9-volt befriended 18-volt when no one else would, so it is kind of beautiful in this way. These are some stand-up kids!

-Is way less adventurous than 9-Volt; he went skateboarding with him exactly once and hated it

-Mains Captain Falcon in smash and says "FALCON PUNCH" out loud

5-Volt

-I love that her character card in g&w says "age unknown" and then immediately tells you that she grew up in the 80s

-I also think that the rest of her wardrobe was similarly radical. I've been meaning to draw Young 5-Volt for a while so you might see her soon

-Was the apex predator of her local arcade back in the day

-Contrary to her moveset in Get It Together!, I don't think she has any supernatural powers beyond being scary as fuck. Pay no attention to the woman behind the TV

-Mains ROB in smash and kills people with him in real life

9-Volt

-The entirety of his retro game collection was inherited from his mother; he doesn't know what eBay is

-Has grown his adult front teeth in since Mega Microgames

-Has said "FIRE" so many times that orbulon accidentally picked up on it in smooth moves

-Mains Pikachu in smash and spams down+B the whole match

Fronk

-Unlike Orbulon and the space hares, I can't even begin to speculate on what the fuck he is. I think he has an exoskeleton. I think he is ovoviviparous. I think his distant ancestors were from space and he comes from a long line of rapidly-reproducing alien animals that somehow gained sapience along the way. It is extremely hard to keep up with Fronk Lore because they are constantly dropping bombshells. Do you know he has a wife and kid

Last year, I had an idea of making a custom sticker set with 9-Volt & Fronk for Telegram (it has the easiest method of making custom packs), sadly, life got in the way and currently this project is on hiatus but I'm going to complete the rest eventually (I've sketched 14 more and maybe I'll add 2 more based on Move It! to round it out)

I love how well I've trained my partner who's not into MCR. He listens to me blast about all the random MCR shit. And I mean all, everything and really random shit. When a friend of ours talked about her friend getting a tattoo on their neck "so that they won't be able to get a normal job" my partner and I locked eyes. We grinned and both thought about Fronk Lero. Which is awesome beyond words!

With pride month coming up there is always a flood of rainbow CW recolors! Which is awesome! More Rainbow! What is not awesome are the ones who reference Lisa Frank in some way, which there's always a bunch of (Lizzy Fronk).  Lisa Frank is honestly a shitty person who doesn't deserve the items paying tribute to her.

She began her career by profiting off of native American artists.  She created a genuinely hostile work environment for her employees.  There's a reason why Lisa Frank HQ was called the 'Rainbow Gulag'.  Employees were even occasionally LOCKED IN THE BUILDING SO THEY COULDN'T LEAVE EARLY.

In more recent years the company stole the ideas of a African Artist's rainbow apartment and created a near identical one to hers which they opened as a pop up hotel room across the street from her and tried to get her evicted.

This is my plea to all CW releasers.  Stop naming your amazing items after this horrible woman and her horrible company.  Even consider filing tickets to rename things you already have onsite.  This woman and her company do not deserve the tribute or the attention with all the wonderful things you all put out.

She doesn't own rainbows.

The Green Folder

Okay, this is a rant I have to go on. I'm talking high school, you know, the place that isn't a learning center but hell with floresesent lighting? Yeah, that place.

And what's something that happens there? Drug searches.

At my school, vaping has been a pretty big deal. As well as other drugs (I heard someone had cocaine, but that was probably a rumour.)

I've only been on one big drug test and it was frehman year.

I was in fourth period--Advanced English. I'm a nerd, okay? My friend Emma was there--do you remember this? You, Liz, Kitty, and me were all there. I think we had a sub that day...

Anyway, they came over the speakers and told us to but everything we had out in the halls--bags, coats, books, the works--a foot in front of the lockers. There was a class who put them against the lockers and had to move them. Why? Because the police were coming with drug sniffing dogs.

At this point, I'm panicking. Not because I have drugs (don't do drugs, kids), but because I'd heard drug dogs were sometimes triggered by food, which I had in my bag. Come to think of it, I think they were triggered by some kid's chicken nuggets... They confiscated the chicken nuggets... No one knows what happened to them...

Anyway, class went on as usual. After, we were allowed to get our bags and whatever. If they were out there, you passed. If not, you had to go to the office. If your bag was taken to the office, it would be completely searched. Thankfully, my bag was still in the hall and the muffin I had for breakfast didn't set off the dogs.

Well, our next period was Pride, which was just a gloified study hall. All the talk was the drug search. People were checking their bags, making sure nothing was taken.

Most everyone could tell something was off with their bags. Personally, my water bottle was turned (it had a handle on top so I could tell it was moved, it wasn't one of the plastic ones you get in a case... It was Marvel and said "Choose a side" on it... That water bottle is hecking awesome, I still have it) and some of my binders were a bit shuffled. My friend's pencil pouch was opened, though she is always sure to close it every time. Most everyone's bag had somewhat been searched, not the way they told us it would be. They said the dogs would just walk by, but things were moved. They didn't just walk by.

The thing that caught my attention though was my friend, a different friend than the one I'd been talking to (We will call her Nem, which I my nickname for her). Anyways, Nem had been called to the office. Why? Because her bag triggered the dogs.

Now I know this girl, and she doesn't do drugs. I'll tease her about it, like the ime she came to school after takjng, like, twelve Advil in a six hour period (the conversation with our science teacher was something I'll never forget... "Why did you take twevle Advil?" ... "I had a headache." ... "*Sacastically* Well, are you feeling better?" ... "Yeah, it's all fuzzy though." ... "That's because you're high as a kite!")

But back to the story. Nem sat in the office for half an hour while the school searched her bag. And it wasn't no kind, oh, let me look through your papers thing either. It was more of an I don't care about this, I think you have drugs in here search.

Low and behold, she didn't have any drugs. They gave her bag back, completely in shambles, and sent her to class.

Cue our fifth period, which we have together. Now, Nem isn't the calmest person. She's loyal and funny, but she can get angry. But she was just angry, she was pissed. (Quoting her, "I am McPissed." ... I'm not kidding, she said that.)

She showed me her folders and binders that were a mess and just thrown back into her bag, and her lunch box (a cute little penguin on the front whom we named Fronk) was searched too. What, did they think she'd hide her pills in a chicken sandwich? Or cocaine in her celery sticks? Or was her flashdrive really a vape?

The thing that made her and I the most mad, was her green folder. Her green folder was my favourite folder.

Now, pause for a minute. Let me say this: I know a lot of artists, but Nem? Nem is the best realist artist I've ever met. She can work with almost any medium, and still look like a pro. I honestly might post one of her works she did for me (it was a drawing of Loki I'd asked her to do).

And her green folder? Her green folder was the folder that had all of her drawings. Beautiful drawings, done free hand with a regular pencil. Not special sketching pencils with hardness lead, no, a regular mechanical pencil.

Her green folder was all the way in the back of her bag, and when she took it out to make sure it was alright, all the drawings were toustled. Some face to face, see back to back, some on a different side than it was supposed to be. I'm surprised all of them were still intact and not smudged beyond recognition. I could still tell which ones were her two of Ryan Ross, the one with the dog, the one with the camera, the one hugging, the one copy of the Pretty. Odd. album cover, all of them.

I guess my point with this whole thing is respect, really. Do the drug searches, bring the dogs, interrupt class and take materials... But don't touch the art. Her drawings easily could have been ruined. If you realize that this is someone's drawings or sketchbook or whatever, handle it with care. Please. I would be crushed if something happened to my sketch book, and my sketches aren't even that good! It's the fact that I spent so long on them, and they could be ruined in seconds.

So please, if you see someone's art, wheather it be a passerby, a friend, or a cop searching for drugs, handle it with care.

See, now this is incredibly irritating. I think you completely missed the point of my post. Nowhere did I say Claire/Frank sex was hotter than Claire/Jamie sex. NOT. ANYWHERE. And in fact, that’s why Claire and Frank wouldn’t work out. Once Claire had sex with Jamie, there was no comparison. Not only sexually, she would also never be emotionally fulfilled by Frank ever again. Claire and Frank were doomed because he only accepted parts of her, with conditions, while Jamie accepted all of her, unconditionally. Also, I think you completely missed larger points about Claire and that’s pretty unfortunate. Go ahead, focus on Claire and Frank and use it as a reason to ignore Claire’s strength, how she’s a survivor, a great mother as Jamie knew she would be, and goes on to become a doctor in the 1950s, which is pretty bad ass. Frank is only one part of Claire’s fucking awesome journey.

If you want to know why I love Claire, why I’m so protective of her, you only need to know that my mother told my alcoholic father to get help or leave. He left. But she carried on and raised four awesome children on her own while working nights as an intensive care nurse. We had extended family to help, but she did it all. And she didn’t have the memory of a great love to cling to. When life gets tough, you keep going. That’s Claire and that’s my mom.

Don’t put words in my mouth. Sorry you miss the snark. I hate Frank and I can’t wait for the turtle-necked little shit to die.

Thank you!!! Unfortunately they do not tweet as often as Frank. Gerard also took a break from Twitter because it was stressing him out a lot, so he’s only active on Instagram sometimes. (I just remembered he posted a pic that i’m gonna share right now!)
