Round about this time a year I have this recurring nightmare—cuts me to the quick—about a roving band of straw-hatted, striped suit wearing, singing sociopaths who lull their victims into sleepy submission with hypnotic harmonies before brandishing razor tip shears, sharpened mercilessly against a leather belt, and disfiguring every hair on their victim's heads. I get this nightmare every April 11 on Barbershop Quartet Day, because while barbershops may be on the wane, some evil never dies.
