Last Movie I Saw: Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2

Last Show I Watched: Kill la Kill! Giving it a second try because I couldn’t handle it when it came out initially. It still makes me go eeeh but it makes up for it with a great story, a massively creative world, great characters, and not taking itself too seriously.

Why Did I Choose My URL: My first username! Generated from public high school so we could log into the computers. First five letters of my last name, first three of my first name. I liked the way it looked, and the fact that it didn’t have a meaning because my interests change all the time.

Average Hours of Sleep: 6-8 or so, but without an alarm I could sleep for 12 hours easily. @in-a-hat​ knows this well.

Lucky Number: 25 I guess? I like it but I wouldn’t bet on it. May have been because of my state quarter collection as a kid.

Instruments: I learned clarinet in middle school because I’d heard it was the easiest instrument, took several choir classes and singing lessons (which I gave up on because I couldn’t read music tonally), taught myself a smidge of piano, and tried guitar lessons but my fingers hurt too much. :’) Whiny whiny excuses. But in college I taught myself how to make electronic music for a little while. I’d still like to keep learning that in particular. I’m not very creative musically but I enjoy making things for myself.

What am I Wearing: Black long-sleeved shirt and skinny-jeans.

Dream Job: I’m not sure anymore? I mainly want to be able to afford my hobbies now. I like the idea of being a storyboard artist, but the thought of living a gypsy lifestyle gig-to-gig kind of frightens me. I’m just grateful to have a fulltime job in California with benefits and the ability to pay my bills finally. < : ) Went too long without it and that was scary! Helps that I like who I work with too.

Dream Trip: Predictable. Japan! Anywhere in Japan. I love the cuisine, the look of the countryside, old buildings, and the creative and beautiful modern architecture n’ products. Buy some things I can’t find anywhere else in the world. I also really like the philosophy and design sense behind wabi-sabi/kintsugi. Aside from Japan, I’d like to visit some parts of Scotland, Ireland, France, and Italy. I’d also like to visit a Pacific Island at some point, just hike and swim and camp for a few days.

Fav Food: Lately? I’ve been a sucker for the Hawaiian BBQ Short Rib at Moana’s in Burbank. SO. GOOD.

Nationality: Just an average Caucasian mutt. Mostly European with some speckles of Mexican and Native American. 

Last Book I Read: I honestly can’t remember, so it’s probably time to get back into reading again. xD; Hard to find unique plots these days. 

Top 3 fictional universes I want to join: Join? As in visit? Harry Potter, Teen Titans, Pokemon, Assassin’s Creed, Beetlejuice (cartoon series), Splatoon, Avatar the Last Airbender, The Book of Life, the land in Miyazaki’s head, Welcome to Nightvale, Hook (yes, the Robin Williams movie), The Spiderwick Chronicles, Portal (1 & 2), Kim Possible, and Motorcity. Why isn’t Gravity Falls on the list? Because I already grew up in the Pacific Northwest and can visit whenever I want. :)

As stupid as this is, I wanted to do a few sketches for some people--a couple to say, "I'm rooting for ya!  Keep your head up!" and a couple to say, "Thank you for being there for me yesterday when I really needed someone to talk to."  They're not really very good sketches, and it's my first time trying with any of these characters, but the sentiments remain.

Before the fall of overwatch, how was cav's relationship with the other founding members, like Ana, Jack, Torb and Reinhardt? Also I love you gabe/cav pics. They're beautiful! :3

There’s so much to say about this!

Reinhardt was the very first one she managed to talk and befriend with when she arrived at Overwatch. She wasn’t friendly with Gabriel, far from that, the deal she stroke with him didn’t put them in good terms at the beginning. She was just doing what she had to do as a soldier, so yes, Rein was the very first person she opened up to and have a great relationship since, a great friend, even after Overwatch’s fall. Barrage helped a lot, he loves Rein, and I like to think Reinhardt is a dog person. Usually the dog would go first as on recon duty, just to gauge people and let Cavy know if it’s safe or not to talk.Torb is one of the few people knowing about Caveira’s condition, he’s also the one designing her equipment to help contain it, a real challenge to him and also a lot of time spent together to study it. Basically, they had plenty of time to bound, whether they liked it or not, but behind his usual unpleasant mood hides the weight of his guilt about his creations and how the world turned out with it, they are not so different. They became very good pals after all, their favorite topic: weaponry and most of all his turrets. He’s close enough to call her ‘Jo’ instead of Caveira without any consequences.Ana has always been wisdom’s voice for everyone, she helped a lot Gabriel when Caveira arrived, she always had the words when Caveira was in the worst places. She grew found of her very quickly and melted the day she brought her daughter to the base. It’s hard to not fall for a kid, even more when the dog loves her. Ana made her realize that she may have lost a lot of things with her past life, but she also gained a brand new life that is worth fighting for and protect. If Cavy goes on missions and manage to pass by a shop, you can be sure she’ll buy at least candies for Fareeha and tea for Ana, only if McCree doesn’t manage to snatch the candies before they return to base.Jack as strike-commander will always have Caveira’s respect as a soldier. She had hard time to gain Jack’s trust, more because Gabriel kept every informations about Caveira away from him, but he saw beyond the mask and trusted Gabriel in his choices in the end, like he always did. She was envious of Gabriel for having such friends, the bound he has with Jack and Ana was so strong she regretted to not have this back at the times she had her own unit and so she did what she could to protect it, mostly by reminding Jack when necessary of the most important things, just like Ana did with her. She never knew if Jack considered her as a friend, but they get along quite well. He also knows her efficiency on the battlefield, she worked under his commands more than once.She’s not mentioned in your ask but Mercy was close to Caveira by necessity, Gabriel entrusted her with all the files from her past life so she could have a better view on Cavy’s condition and monitor it the best she could, and all that in secrecy, Blackwatch’s stuff. Angela, of course, never saw Cavy as an experiment subject and that made all the difference.

So wait. I just read about the toothpaste one and if nothing can touch caveira because it'll melt or burn, how does she eat and drink then?

She doesn’t anymore, if you prefer, her body runs on the high thermal energy she produces, it sustains itself like that. Took her a couple of years to actually cope with the fact she doesn’t need to eat or drink. Human habits are hard to kick.

Sorry for lack of art!

Sorry about that. It's been a crazy month for me. I've moved to a new place and still getting acquainted. Also my laptop that I have had for 8 years is going near kaputz now. So I'll be shopping for a new one. I can still do art but the Internet is so screwed up on it, I won't be able to post up any complete art for a while. That isn't going to stop me from doing it though. Through april, I am going to be learning lots of stuff! Photoshop finally, animate cc, new mediums and becoming a better artist. I usually post up my stuff on instagram, but I'm making sure to share it on here too! So there lots to come in the future. Hope everything is doing great on your end, and stay awesome my friends!
